Ch. 27 Sharingan vs Sharingan the Journey Begins
"So this is sort of like a training mission" Naruto asked confused
Jiraiya sighed "Well that's one way of putting it we're going on a search mission and along the way I'll be training you"
"Awesome I'll go pack and..." Naruto paused for a second looking at his girlfriend "...Hey Ero-sennin can Hinata come with us?"
Hinata not wanting to be a bother prepared to speak up "Umm..."
"Well I don't know gaki..." Jiraiya said stroking his chin
"Oh come on with her amazing eyes and my nose finding this person will be a piece of cake" Naruto begged while Hinata blushed at the complement
'Hmmm the kid has a...slight point, and Kakashi did say I could get some good writing material from watching these two hmmm' he pondered
Seeing his teacher was taking too long to decide he came up with a quick plan, blushing he whispers to Hinata to close her eyes. She does and he sighs and transforms into...that jutsu.
"Pretty please Jiraiya-sensei please let Hina-chan come with us...after all you did say she could join us" the nude female spoke unknown to him Hinata hearing a different voice peeked eye open and blushed at what she saw.
Jiraiya's pervy senses went full blast staring at the nude woman with blond pigtails "Yes yes she can come with us..." he sighed dreamily "...you all run along now and pack for at least two weeks and meet at the front gate in 30 minutes." he said floating off to who knows where in a lust filled state
Naruto dropped the henge and jumped up and down "Yatta you get to come train with us Hina-hime"
"Thank you Naruto but you didn't have to" Hinata said a bit bashful
Naruto smiled "Yea I know but...I didn't know how long I would be gone and..." he blushed "...I wanted to spend more time with you"
This earned him a quick kiss on the cheek from a blushing Hinata, the couple now both sporting red faces.
"Umm I'm gonna go pack now" Naruto said awkwardly
"Hai Naruto-kun" she nodded and the two parted ways to go prepare.
Up in the trees a certain Sage scribbled something is his small note book while giggling perversely.
Hokage Tower
Sasuke looked at this bandaged man warily; he could tell something about him just didn't feel right. Nonetheless he gives a detailed report of what he saw during the battle. "...after using something called the Rasengan that pushed Gaara to transform into the giant sand monster, then that's when I saw Naruto summon what looked like a nine tailed fox and he used it to defeat Gaara."
Hearing this statement caused two different reactions. The shinobi were impressed that the boy knew the Rasengan and could actually summon and seemingly control the fox, a certain war hawk smiled beneath his mask of uncaring. Meanwhile the civilians went in an up roar calling for the immediate capture and death of Naruto. This time before Tsume or any of the other older shinobi could retort...someone else spoke up.
"Shut the hell up..." Sasuke yelled silencing the civilian council "...look I don't know what problem you dobe's have with Naruto but what you fail to realize is that he helped save this village from that one tailed beast during the invasion and despite his faults he is a strong shinobi, a member of my team and one of my friends and you will not continue to disrespect him in my presence..." his Sharingan flared to life as he glared at the civilian council "...is that understood!"
The room was silent as the young Uchiha finished his eye slowly returning to normal. All of the Shinobi council were shocked and yet impressed at the same time, they never would have thought that the normally loner Uchiha would actually defend one of his friends.
Hiashi was truly shocked but still held his stoic face; he turns to the elders in the room and confirms Sasuke's report that the Kyubi was instrumental in defeating Shukaku and left rather quickly. Homura and Koharu thought for a moment, with Naruto leaving the village with Jiraiya plus no real chain of command they saw no need to immediately be hasty and they decide to hold on judgment in honor of their passed friend and until a new Hokage is chosen.
"Until the new Hokage is chosen we will withstand judgment you are all dismissed" Homura said slightly annoyed
This did not sit well with a certain war hawk...
On the Bridge
Because Itachi and Kisame are wanted criminals, Asuma and Kurenai try to apprehend them through battle, though neither is successful in doing so. Just as the two Konoha Jonin are about to be defeated, Kakashi arrives saving them both, his Sharingan making it easier to combat the two criminals...or so he thought.
"So tell me what's a rouge nin like you doing...back in the village" Kakashi said holding a kunai to Itachi's neck
The heir of the Sharingan turned his head to look upon the copy nin "Hatake...Kakashi..."
With Hiashi
Hiashi leaves one meeting to prepare to attend a meeting with the Hyuga elders. Upon arriving home he passes Hinata's room and sees his daughter about to leave "Daughter where are you off too?"
Hinata turned around and saw her father at her door she sighed, she still hadn't really talked to him about what she learned at the chunin exam and now really wasn't the time. "Oto-san I am preparing to go on a search mission with Jiraiya-san and Naruto-kun...I am uncertain when I will return"
"Oh...very well then be safe on your journey, goodbye Hinata" Hiashi said honestly surprising Hinata
'He...actually said goodbye?' Hinata stared at him slightly confused before turning around to head to the estate exit
Hiashi sighed seeing that his daughter again would not look him directly in the eye, sighs and heads to the elders meeting. 'I stuck my neck out for you boy you had better protect my eldest daughter'
With Naruto
Naruto tells the Yoto's that he is leaving on a training mission and he leave Iroya with Takeru incase anything happens.
Naruto entered his home and looked around "Jiji-san...Oba-san are you home"
"Oi Naruto-niisan it just me" Takeru answered from upstairs
Naruto raced up stairs to his brother's room "Hey I'm about to head out on a mission with Ero-sennin and wanted to say goodbye"
"What kind of mission could that old pervert have for you" Takeru asked crossing his arms as he sat on his bed
Naruto shrugged his shoulders "Some kind of search mission but he's going to give me some more training and I managed to get him to let Hinata-chan come with us"
"Cool when will you be back?"
"I don't know but I came to see if you some extra explosive tags I can borrow"
"Yeah in the drawer" Takeru nodded over to his dresser drawer
Naruto grabbed some of the tags and then went to the door "Thanks nii-san now imma go pack then I'm heading out"
"Be careful Naruto and have fun with Hinata don't do anything naughty with your girlfriend" Takeru teased
Naruto blushed slightly but then smirked "yea yea I won't alright I'm gone tell Jiji and oba-san I said goodbye oh..." he stopped at the door "...and hey Ino how's it going?"
The room fell silent as a look of complete and utter shock froze Takeru in place. Naruto turned around with the biggest shit eating grin as he saw Ino crawl from under the bed looking as red as the freshest apple just plucked from a tree.
"Umm...hi Naruto..." she stammered to say due to being extremely embarrassed
Naruto nodded and smirked as he closed the door. Takeru finally becoming unfroze cursed and he fell flat on his back. "Damn him and that accursed nose"
Hyuga Estate
As Hiashi sat in the meeting he was becoming increasingly aggravated. The elders were completely outraged that Hinata took a traditional Hyuga technique and perverted it during her fight with Neji. Hiashi adamantly disagrees with them, he saw the strength his daughter showed and constantly mentally berated himself for not noticing it sooner. After much talk the Hyuga elders come to the decision of wanting to have the cage seal placed on the girl immediately making Hanabi the sole heir.
"Hiashi-san go fetch your worthless daughter so that she may be sealed at once" one of the older elders ordered cruelly
'Damn them...' Hiashi cursed but then remembered that his daughter is leaving village for a while for a mission with Jiraiya.
"Pardon me elders but I believe there is a problem with your request as, Hinata has left the village on an extended mission with one of the Legendary Sannin Jiraiya and it is unknown when she will return."
Sneering they have no choice but to wait and dismiss the meeting. This time period giving Hiashi time to come up with a plan to save his daughter, he owed her that much...and so much more.
With Kakashi
Despite the advantages that Kakashi's Sharingan allows him, Itachi's use of his own Sharingan is far more advanced, and Kakashi is only barely able to block his attacks. Realising that Itachi is using only a fraction of his abilities, Kakashi instructs Asuma and Kurenai to close their eyes so as to avoid falling prey to Itachi's ultimate technique. Because Kakashi has a Sharingan, he believed that he would be able to withstand Itachi's jutsu, and is proven horribly wrong when he succumbs to the effects of Itachi's Tsukuyomi. With the little strength he has, Kakashi asks why the two have come to Konoha, to which Itachi replies that they are after the Fourth Hokage's legacy.
'Naruto...' Kakashi thought as he struggles to stay awake. Remembering what Jiraiya had told him earlier, Kakashi recognises this reason as their organisation, Akatsuki's, goal to gain the power of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed within Naruto. Because of Kakashi's knowledge of their organisation and its motives, Itachi instructs Kisame to kill Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai. Before Kisame can land a fatal blow, however, Might Guy appears and repels Kisame. With Guy's arrival, Kakashi collapses, exhausted from Itachi's previous attack. Itachi, recognising Guy as a threat as well as the fact that reinforcements are on their way, leaves with Kisame, wanting to avoid starting a war. Taking Kakashi away to rest, Guy, Asuma, and Kurenai decides that it would be best if Sasuke Uchiha didn't know that Itachi had returned.
The Front Gate
"Alright kiddies are we all set for our journey" Jiraiya asked loudly
Hinata politely smiled and nodded "Hai"
Naruto grinned widely "Yatta more training I'm so ready"
"Well I'm glad to hear you say that gaki here are some new heavier weights to start off your training for the new jutsu I'm going to teach you"
Naruto paled at the sight of the weight but soon got over it and switched out his weights. These were indeed heavier but he moved slowly mostly trying to impress Hinata.
"Hinata along the way we'll figure out what your elemental chakra nature is..." he saw the young girl nod "…alright then lets get this show on the road he the sage cried out point towards the exit with smiles and heads held high Hinata, Naruto and Jiraiya begin their journey.
