Ch. 30 The Snake makes his Move, Tsunade we Finally Found You!

In an undisclosed location

Orochimaru is suffering from his last encounter with the Third Hokage, his arms unable to perform jutsu and constantly bringing him pain at the same time. He growls in pain as an attendant tries to ease his pain but it's of no use and with but a look he slays the man.

Kabuto Yakushi sees that the medicine will do nothing to help him; Orochimaru concludes that the only person who can restore his arms is Tsunade. Knowing where Tsunade is currently located, he and Kabuto set out to find her.

A couple days later

Elsewhere things with our group have been going well each of them have progressed in their training. While they continue in a field a half a day away from the next town Jiraiya continues to look for Tsunade until he happens upon a gentleman in a bar who says he knows where she is…Tanzaku Town.

As night falls Kabuto and Orochimaru continue their trek through the woods. Suddenly Orochimaru feels a sharp pain in his arms and begins to yell out to the night sky.

"CURSE YOU SARUTOBI!" in his anger he proceeds to kick a tree down

Elsewhere Jiraiya returns to camp late to see everyone asleep he smiled and would wait till morning to tell them he got a massive lead on Tsunade.

The Next Day

Kabuto and Orochimaru reach the outskirts of Tanzaku Town the latter itching to get his arms fixed.

Elsewhere in one of the towns gambling halls Tsunade, an avid and very unlucky gambler, hits a winning streak, indicating to her that something bad is about to happen and as such she tries to flee the city. Her assistant, Shizune, asks Tsunade if they can go and see the local landmarks first, to which Tsunade reluctantly agrees.

With the Group

The trio awakens to find Jiraiya waiting for them.

"Well good morning sleepy heads"

"Ero-sennin when did you get back" Naruto asked

"Last night Baka listen everyone pack up we finally have a lead on Tsunade"

"Alright finally we'll be able to heal Sasuke and Kakashi sensei"

Hinata and Takeru smiled at Naruto's excitement. Soon the group is packed up and heading out.

Tanzaku Town

"Wow Tanzaku Castle sure does have a commanding presence it's amazing!"

As Shizune continues to admire the ancient castle, Tsunade repeatedly asks her to hurry up until she stops in her tracks.

"Tsunade-sama?"

The busty sannin felt the chill in the air like something…dangerous was coming. 'What is this chill I'm feeling' she thought as she stared at the castle which suddenly collapses, and from the rubble emerges Orochimaru and Kabuto riding a giant snake.

"I finally found you" Orochimaru panted with a sick smile on his face

"It's been quite a long time hasn't it Orochimaru"

"Indeed I've been looking for you for a long time"

"What do you want with me after all this time, feel like kicking back talking about the old days"

"Actually I was hoping to ask for a favor"

'His heart beat is racing and he's burning up by the looks of it signs of prolonged fatigue…and those arms' she thought sizing him up

Kabuto explains that she is the only one that can heal his arms. Tsunade scoffs at this and asks her old friend how he got this way.

"Oh nothing really I was just killing the 3rd Hokage" he says without hesitation

Shizune is shocked while Tsunade is in disbelief "Impossible…is this true"

"Come now quit shooting me that dirty look you know anything that has form must soon decay even men…but then again I don't have to tell you that now do I…after all you let the two most important people to you…march off to their deaths…" the snake sannin gloated

Tsunade's death glare aimed at her old teammate right now would normally shut anyone down…but this…man wasn't normal…he wasn't even a man

"…such a pity it really was a terrible way for them to die"

"You son of a bitch!" Shizune had has enough of this and stepped in front of her master and fired off several poison needles aimed right at the snake's heart but though Kabuto blocks the attack. Shizune wasn't done though and dashed toward them.

'She's fast' Kabuto thought as he prepared to defend his master but before the two could square off Tsunade orders her to stop only inches from stabbing the man's throat with a scalpel

After calming Shizune down and casually scolding Orochimaru for what he said, Tsunade punches the wall next to her, reducing it to gravel, and vows to kill him if he ever says it again. After repeating her refusal to help Orochimaru, Tsunade prepares to fight them in the event that they won't leave. Just as she is about to attack, Orochimaru offers to revive her dead brother and lover if she helps him, stopping Tsunade before she can act. This stops her dead in her tracks.

With Naruto

Elsewhere, Jiraiya and the trio have arrived in the city, and the two visit Tsunade's last known location.

"Alright this is getting us know where how about this Takeru, Hinata could you go find us an inn while me and Naruto continue searching.

"Hai Jiraiya-sama" Hinata responded

"See gaki why can't you be more refined like your girlfriend" the toad sage joked

"Ahhh shut up Ero-sennin" Naruto growled as they split up and do what they were told.

As Jiraiya and Naruto get closer they hear reports of a giant snake destroying a castle, Jiraiya recognizes this as one of Orochimaru's acts, and as such rushes to the castle.

With Tsunade

Finally considering the offer, Tsunade asks what Orochimaru will do if his arms are healed, to which he replies that he will destroy Konoha.

Shizune, meanwhile, is infuriated by Orochimaru's proposal of destroying Konoha and tries to persuade Tsunade in helping her kill the weakened Orochimaru. Although Tsunade refuses, Orochimaru sheds some of his own blood to make sure she keeps her word, knowing that Tsunade suffers from a fear of blood. With Tsunade forced into submission by the sight of his blood, Orochimaru allows her a week to consider his offer, and he and Kabuto disappear.

When Jiraiya and Naruto arrive at the scene, Tsunade and Shizune have already left. Deciding to give up the search for the day, Jiraiya and Naruto meet up with Hinata and Takeru at a local bar for dinner as they walk in Jiraiya and Tsunade's eyes meet and it only takes a couple seconds.

"TSUNADE!"

"JIRAIYA…WHAT THE WHY ARE YOU HERE!?"

After their unusual reunion they all sit together and as Naruto, Hinata and Takeru eat dinner, Jiraiya asks Tsunade what Orochimaru wanted from her, to which she replies nothing, quickly changing the subject to what Jiraiya wants from her. As he tells her that Konoha wants her to be the next Hokage, Naruto begins to choke on his food with surprise Hinata quickly rubbing his back, and Tsunade and Shizune use this as confirmation that Orochimaru really had killed the Third Hokage.

"What do you mean she's going to be the next Hokage!" Naruto says clinching his fist glaring at both the sannin

Tsunade looks at the brats her old teammate had with him "Who are these gaki's with you Jiraiya"

"This is Yoto Takeru, Hyuga Hinata and the loud one is Uzumaki Naruto" he paused to let that last name sink in

'This is Minato's kid the one with the Kyubi inside of him' she muses as she looks at the others

Jiraiya could feel Naruto about to start blabbing again and spoke up "I'll say it once again Konoha has made its decision, they want you to become the 5th Hokage…so what's your answer?"

Tsunade took another sip of her drink "Impossible I decline"

"You know it's kinda funny that rings a bell I remember you saying those very words the first and only time I asked you out" Jiraiya joked

"What the…" Naruto was about to snap

"Dont worry Naruto she knows she can't refuse there can be no one else…" Jiraiya goes on to explain that because of her contribution during the last great war and her heritage as granddaughter of the 1st Hokage she is the only clear choice.

She that only a fool would become Hokage and goes on to ridicule the past Hokages.

"Sarutobi-sensei should have known better trying to be a hero at his age…playing at Hokage…count me out it's a fool's game" she stated

"That does it!"

Tsunade's words anger Naruto, spurring him into attempting to strike her, though Jiraiya holds him back. Takeru sighed knowing his brother would do this, Hinata looked on at her boyfriend knowing that the 3rd hokage was something of a grandfather to him to all of them really.

"Im not gonna let her sit there and badmouth jiji no way I don't care if she's a sannin…I'll wipe that smug smirk right off her face" Naruto stated slamming his fist in his hand his dojutsu flaring to life. This did not go by unnoticed by Shizune and Tsunade but being drunk she was impressed that Naruto was willing to challenge her.

"You challenging me runt you've got guts if nothing else let's take this outside kid"

"You're on lady"

After the two step outside,

"A legendary sannin taking on a snot nosed genin I ought be ashamed of myself whatever one finger is all I'll need to take you down"

Jiraiya sighs "Quit trying to show off Tsunade I wouldn't underestimate this kid"

Takeru, Shizune and Hinata watched on as Naruto charges at Tsunade with a kunai in hand decided not to show his true power yet, though Tsunade is able to take it from him, use it to remove his headband, and launch him backwards with the promised single finger.

'Wow she's strong' Takeru noted but knew his brother had something up his sleeve

'Oh Naruto-kun I hope you're ok' Hinata worried

Naruto manages to rebound and land on his feet he felt wobbly but stood his ground. 'Ok that hurt she is super strong but I'm not backing down'

'I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO SAY THAT' Kurama stated

Tsunade, expecting Naruto to pass out from her attack, asks why being Hokage is such a sensitive subject for Naruto. Everyone that knew him knew what was about to be said

He summoned a shadow clone and being prepping for a Rasengan much to Tsunade's surprise his voice deepened as he spoke "Because unlike you that's my goal…I want to protect my loved ones even if it means dying for them, I want to protect and prove to the village that shunned me for years that I am more than the monster they see me as…I will become Hokage someday because that is my dream and no one most of all not you will ever disrespect the name of those who came before me…so remember this lady TO BE HOKAGE THAT IS MY DREAM!"

Tsunade was stunned thinking about what Naruto just said because it was the same thing her lover and younger brother said. The clone finished the jutsu and pulled out 2 kunai with 1 wrapped with sealing paper. While Tsunade is momentarily off-balance, Naruto uses the opportunity to use his new jutsu and has the clone toss one kunai up and the other right at her before popping Naruto beings to run toward her. Jiraiya smiled seeing what the boy was about to do meanwhile Takeru and Hinata waited to see if his training was about to pay off. Tsunade coming back to her senses easily dodges the ninja tool and prepares to counter knowing the danger of that jutsu. She raises that one finger up again and slams it into the ground cracking it expecting to throw him off balance but to everyone's surprise he teleports with the Rasengan an appears behind Tsunade.

Stunned but recognizing the technique and the danger it imposes, Tsunade quickly turns around and pushes his forearm down forcing the Rasengan into the ground. The force of the move knocks Naruto back as it wasn't a full powered Rasengan.

"Aw man he almost had her" Takeru stated as he saw Hinata rush toward her boyfriend along with Shizune.

'Unreal I never expected 1 let alone 2 of Minato's jutsu his Rasengan is nearly perfect but he was holding back…and the Hirashin he's a Uzumaki so the sealing part must have come easy to him but his speed is off but…' Tsunade thought as he looked at the kunai's '…using the one kunai in the air bouncing it off a lamp post and embedding it into the one he through at me to shorten the distance of his teleport…even I have to admit the kid is smarter than he looks'

Jiraiya smirked 'Still strong as ever I see damn I remember the time she sent me flying 100 meter in the opposite direction ouch still the gaki's has the basics down but still needs lots of work.'

"Jiraiya did you really teach this gaki the Rasengan and the Hirashin?" she scolded

"Well of course I did I'm his teach aren't I, so what of it?" he smiled

"You and the Yondaime are the only one who can use those jutsu's why teach it to a lil runt like him who could never master it" she stated

"Is that so…give me 3 days and I bet I'll have it fully mastered"

Tsunade proposes a bet with Naruto. "If he can master the speed of the Hirashin in one week, she'll give him her grandfather, the First Hokage's, necklace, something she claims could buy three mountains; if he can't, she gets all the money in his wallet. Naruto accepts the offer, and he goes off to the hotel with Shizune, Hinata and Takeru while Tsunade and Jiraiya chat over drinks.
