Im sorry for being away for so long this story still means alot to me and I still plan on finishing this book and my plans for Book 2 Blazing Fox of Konoha the next couple chapters are all original content so writing will be different from the way I used to write this story things will get better once I get back to copying stuff from the actual story anyway lets get to the story thank you all for your continued support and I hope this draws you back to this story

Chapter 35 Facing the Future
The Hokage's coronation was tremendous and everyone in the village turned out for it. "FROM THIS DAY ON I SHALL PROTECT KONOHAGAKURE AS THE GODAIME HOKAGE"
Later that Night
Location: Hokage's Office in the Academy
Tsunade coming into office had her work cut out for her. Among the loads of work she looked over the chunin candidates based on the exam scores and the actions taken during the Invasion of Konoha. As she scrolled through she noted several genin to possibly promote. 'Naruto, Sasuke, Hinata, Takeru and Shikamaru are all promising chunin candidates.' Team 7 due to being the ones to fight and subdue the Shukaku and Shikamaru based on his tactical skills, Takeru due to making it through Chunin Exams alone plus she's seen what they can do. The other of the rookie 10 looked promising as well but she wanted to see for herself. Upon making her decision she handed the paper off to Shizune who took it to the proper people to make the preparations. She then looked over the needs for the rebuilding of the village and noted that they were in need of a builder and from the mission reports she had read she wrote a B Rank Mission for Team 7 as one more test before promoting them. One hour later Jiraiya arrived through the window.
"I don't have time for any of your games tonight Jiraiya" she stated
"Sorry for busting in like this I'm sure you must be busy but..." he had a serious look on his face "...I have something for you from Hiruzen-sensei."
Tsunade nodded and asked the Anbu out of the office. She watched as Jiriaya placed a silence seal, he walked over and pulled out 3 scrolls and placed them on her desk. She took the first one and opened it and it read…
1st scroll
'Should Uzumaki Naruto make the rank of chunin, gather the councils and those close to him and reveal to him his heritage. Then announce it before the village that Naruto is the last true Uzumaki in the village and will be made clan head of the reborn Uzumaki Clan' - S. Hiruzen
After reading it she placed the scroll down and thought about all that the gaki has done for the village in his young life. She smiled at this being a last gift from Sarutobi
2nd Scroll
'Upon this revelation the Uzumaki temple is to be rebuilt into the boy's clan home, within this scroll is sealed Minato's will and key to his vault in the Hokage mansion. Jiraiya is instructed to take the boy to both of Minato's safe houses to raid the underground vaults and move them into his new home'
3rd Scroll
Her eyes widen as she read the scroll labeled Sasuke "Oh Sarutobi-sensei" Tsunade sighed as she begins on the first two scrolls and make the preparation to name new chunins
The Next Morning
Location: Yoto Residence
The members of the Yoto residence all sat down for breakfast "Naruto you have a guest at the door?" Takeru called out as Naruto reached the door he saw it was an Anbu member
"Naruto you have been summoned by Lady Hokage to the mission office along with your team please get ready and make haste" the anbu disappeared his mission complete
"Guess it's time for a mission...sweet" Naruto stated as he ran up stairs to prep
10 minutes Later
Location: Hokage's Office in the Academy
"Listen up your mission is a simple one the village is in need of repair and rebuilding and so I'm sending you to bring back an old friend from your first mission...Mr. Tazuna"
Naruto smiled "Nice heading back to Wave Country I get to check in with Inari"
"Tsunade-san where is Kakashi-sensei?" Hinata asked
"He is currently on a mission of his own and wont be back for another day"
"Ah we don't need him Hina-hime we've got this handled right Sasuke?"
"Hmph" was all Sasuke said as he gave a simple smirk
Tsunade smiled as they kinda reminded her of her old team...kinda "Alright Squad 7 you have your mission make us proud!"
"Hai" all three said as Sasuke and Hinata laid a hand on Naruto's shoulder and all 3 disappeared thanks to one of his seals
Squad 7 reached the front gate in no time as Naruto had placed a seal on the pillar closest to the gate. They showed their mission the the guards and soon made their way. Making it a short distance from the village Hinata and Sasuke watched as Naruto summoned 3 horse sized 5 tailed foxes. "Well guys let's get going!" Naruto called out as they all got on their designated Fox and soon they bolted from the village.
With Takeru
Location: Traning Ground 6
Takeru dodged, blocked and parried each strike with his mother's sword. He went in for a strike but Ino quickly used her practice shoto to forcefully block her boyfriend's strike and aim a knife hand strike to his neck only for him to block it with his forearm
"Not bad" Ino panted
Takeru smiled as they relaxed "Not bad yourself so how was is using a sword?"
"Very interesting, I like it and think i'll add one to my arsenal thought it looks like I'll need a kenjutsu teacher" she smirked as she used a towel to wipe the sweat off her forehead
"Well lucky for you I happen to know a great kenjutsu teacher…" he said snaking his arms around her waist
"Oh really" she smirked
"...Yea he lives on the far side of the village and charges 100 ryo an hour for lessons"
Ino scoffed and used her butt to bump against Takeru trying to get him to let go but actually causing them to both fall he landing on his back she turned around in his arms "That joke was bad like Naruto bad" she chuckled
"He's rubbing off on me of course I'll train you in everything Hayete-sensei showed me"
Ino noticed his facial expression when mentioning his godfather so she did the only thing she could do to cheer him up she leaned in and kissed him. He responded to the kiss and his hands began slowly moving up and down her back. The kiss began to turn heated as she raked her nails against his shirtless body and he grabbed on her bum, before things could go further they were interrupted by a throat clearing.
"Having fun are we?" Both teens looked up to see Naruto with a huge shit eating grin on his face
"Ugh Naruto what do you want we were kinda busy" Ino addressed him very annoyed as she sat up straddling her boyfriend
"I'm just a clone boss just wanted to let Take-kun know that squad 7 was sent out on mission to Wave and would be back in a couple days"
"Oh cool tell him to be safe" Takeru answered
"Is there anything else?" Ino asked
"Yup just thought you should know that Yugao-san is very close and I dont think you want her finding you too having...to much fun" the clone chuckled
Ino sighed but then smiled "Thanks and here's a message to Naruto next time he interrupted our...fun time this will happen" she finished by quickly throwing a kunai into the clone's chest causing it to disappear
"Wow ok 2 things one...that was brutal…" Takeru started
Ino looked down at her boyfriend "and 2"
"...fun time?" he finished with a chuckled this caused her to slap his chest and get up off of him teasingly slow
"Fun time is over...for now" she smiled picking up her sword
2 days later
Location: Woods on the Outskirts of Konoha
Naruto, Hinata and Sasuke were headed back to the village with Tazuna, Tsunami and Inari on fox back. The mission took 2 days though it normally would have taken a week at the most. Naruto was greatful for his fox summons and they all bonded really well with his team he reached down and petted the fox he was riding on.
Tazuna had been happy to see the team when they arrived in Wave Country. He was more than happy to prepare a group to bring supplies to aid Konoha and join the team on the way back with his family.
Naruto glanced at his girlfriend smiling and thought back to the day before Tsunade's coronation
Flashback
Naruto had just been returning from a long talk with Konohamaru he loved the kid like a little brother and after their talk he was walking him to speak with Tsunade but upon finding her Kono remembered something his grandfather said and this steeled his resolve to train hard to become Hokage.
Naruto smiled as he hirashined home stepping to the front door and he smelled that Hinata was inside. Oopening the door and was met not with a smile but tears as he saw Bachan comforting his girlfriend.
"Hinata what's wrong what happened?" he asked softly
She looksd up tears stinging her eyes "Na...Naruto-kun"
"It's ok I'm here" he said with a smile trying to make her smile
"I need your help" She explained what her father told her. He warned her that the elder council was angry with her and wanted to give her the branch family seal in order to punish and control her.
Naruto's dojutsu flared to life he was pissed. "How dare they try to punish you for what, gaining strength, for fighting for your honor…" he growled "...I'll rip them a…"
"No...Naruto-kun please stop" she said holding his hand tightly "I...I don't want any problems from my clan...my father asked me to lay low until he found a solution to the problem he told me to go to the one place I knew id be safe so I came here to you"
"Poor child im sorry you are going through this you are more than welcome to stay here until this blows over"
She smiled wiping the tears away "Thank you very much"
Naruto calmed down and helped her up "You can take my room im used to sleeping in the same room as Takeru or the couch so its no problem at all"
"Thank you Naruto-kun"
Naruto helped Hinata settle into his room. He didn't need to give her a tour as she had been there plenty of times before. Takeru was on a mission with Genma and wouldn't be back till the morning so he took his brother's bed. As she got ready for bed there was a knock on the door she opened it and it was Naruto.
"You ok?"
"Yes Naruto-kun thank you...again I could never repay you for this"
He pulled her in for a hug causing her to blush "Id do anything for you Hinata you dont ever have to worry about payin me back your love is all i need"
She smiled as she snuggled into his check she looked up placing a hand upon his cheek and leaned in for a soft peck of a kiss. The kiss was short and sweet and as the two seperated her blush could light up a room "Good night Naruto-kun"
"Good night Hina-hime"
She closed the door and allowed her heart to calm down. As she removed her robe wearing nothing but underwear, she laid down on Naruto's bed and snuggled in quickly it was warm like him and had his scent. She felt safe and warm and fell alseep quickly with a smile on her face.
Present day
He was happy to do anything for her. The team got closer to the village and landed on the walking path and sent the foxes away and walked the rest of the way
"You really have grown haven't you Naruto" Tazuna stated
"I guess so we all have" Naruto smiled as he could feel the tug of his front gate seal "Alright everyone grab on"
Hinata boldly hugged her boyfriend while the rest placed a hand on his shoulder or back and soon they all were transported to the front gate with ease. Surprising the front gate guards.
"Team 7 reporting in mission complete" the blonde called out as he ushered Tazuna and family to get registered in Naruto walked back to his friends "Well that was a quick mission"
Sasuke sighed "I'll say, the foxes do make it faster to traverse the land but watch out dobe I'll be catching up to you soon"
Naruto smiled "I don't doubt it Sasuke I'm actually looking forward to it"
Tazuna's family was finally registered and Hinata offered to take Tsunami and Inari to get checked in to a hotel while they boys ushered Tazuna to the hokage's office.
With Tsunade
Location: Hokage's Office in the Academy
The busty hokage continued the dreaded paperwork until an Anbu appeared in front of her. "Pardon me lady Hokage but Team 7 has returned to the village and our on the way to meet you here" Bear reported
"Thank you Bear please retrieve Yoto Takeru and Nara Shikamaru along with their sensei's and bring them here" she ordered
"Hai" Bear responded as he disappeared
She then called for Shizune who quickly appeared in the room "Shizune will you head to the mission room and prep for the promotion"
"Yes mam" the young nurse responded Tonton oinking in response
With Hinata
Location: Konoha Tourist Disctrict
The Hyuga Heiress walked with Tsunami and Inari as she lead them to the closest hotel. Along the way the older woman asked a question.
"So you and Naruto huh?" Tsunami smiled
This caused Hinata's face to go a blaze as she thought about her boyfriend "Yes we've been together since the chunin exams"
"That's so exciting I'm so happy for you I can see how much you've changed since we first met"
Hinata smiled "Thank you Tsunami-san"
Tsunami smirked "I'll be looking forward to coming to the wedding and eventually meeting…" she pointed towards her son
Hinata's face was in full blush mode thinking about a future with Nartuo.
With Naruto
Location: Hokage's Office in the Academy
The three eventually made it to the Hokages office and Tsunade welcomed Tazuna after meeting him. They shortly discussed the plans for rebuilding and Tazuna said that a small work force is ready in his village awaiting word to come and get started. Tsunade smiled and called for a Shinobi to escort Tazuna to meet with the Konoha rebuilding committee and as he headed out the door Hinata walked through the door to join her team Shikamaru walked in with her.
"Yo Shikamaru you know what are you doing here" Naruto asked fisting bumping his friend
"Not a clue...its such a drag I was in the middle of a nap when an Anbu popped up and told me to come here" Shikamaru yawned
"Lazy as always" a voice said as they all turned around to see Takeru enter the room
Tsunade quickly interjected before they continued "Excellent you're all here if you would please follow me"
All five left Tsunade's office heading to the mission office. Upon arriving they entered to find the Shinobi council gathered. Kakashi, Asuma, Anko, Yugao and Iruka. Yugao was unmasked and wearing the standard Jonin outfit. As everyone settled down Tsunade called the genin to line up.
"We are gathered here today to honor one thing...progress..." All of the genin stood paying attention to Tsunade's words "...your progression as a shinobi is important to all those with in this village, because it is your progression that will shape not only your own path as a shinobi but the history of this village. Some believe that due to the exam being interrupted by the invasion that none of you should rank up and I have not been here long enough to really know any of you that well but from the reports and stories I've heard and gathered you are all well worthy of what is about to happen." Tsunade finished nodding to the genin's sensei's
Asuma held a package and stood in front of Shikamaru as Tsunade continued "Nara Shikamaru from the reports I've read and the praises the 3rd gave during your match against the Oto and Suna-nin regarding your tactical genius, I Godaime Hokage do hereby grant you the rank of Chunin"
Shikamaru sighed as Asuma handed him the chunin jacket "Shikamaru your performance in the chunin exams despite your...laziness was exellent, your intelligence and strategic mind makes your a perfect choice congratulations"
"What a drag…" he smiled "...thanks Asuma-sensei, Hokage-sama"
Takeru smirked as Yugao stood before him "Yoto Takeru I've seen your skills for myself and matching it with your mission count and reports from the chunin exams saying you also showed tremendous skill and ingenuity during your battle against Gaara, I do hereby grant you the rank of Chunin" Tsunade continued
Yugao handed him the vest "Takeru as a candidate for the rank Tokubetsu Jonin it was expected of you to outperform your fellow leaf shinobi but instead you stood by their side defending them from harm this is the true strength of Konoha shinobi, I am proud of you and I know Hayate is too"
"Thank you Ka...Yugao-sensei, Hokage-sama" Takeru responded with a smile looking over seeing a smirk from Inoichi
Tsunade looked at the last three genin and she smiled at the look on Naruto's face beaming with joy. Hiashi's face kept its stoic nature but deep down he was proud of his daughter despite everything going on with them right now.
Tsunade continued as Anko, Iruka and Kakashi stood in front of Hinata, Naruto and Sasuke respectively "Uchiha Sasuke for your role in aiding your team during your A Rank mission in the invasion, your increasing fighting prowess as a shinobi and your fierce protection of your comrades..." Kakashi handed him the vest
She continued "...Hyuga Hinata for your role in aiding your team in the A rank mission during the invasion, the battle prowess I witnessed first hand and determination to protect be it client or ally…" Anko handed her the vest with a cheeky smile
Iruka handed Naruto the vest as Tsunade continued "And last but not least Uzumaki Naruto...the reports of your missions and the actions I have seen up close, for your role in taking down the Shukaku and saving the village during the invasion and the power you showed in facing Kabuto and defending my life I do hereby grant the three of you the rank of Chunin, congratulations on being the first 3 man squad to achive the rank together."
Kakashi spoke looking at his team "I've been watching you three since the beginning of our journey and while I'd like to think I've done my best to prepare you for the future, the truth is each and everyone of you have become stronger through your own convictions and drive you've shown skill beyond the level of any genin and stood toe to toe against a bijuu and you did it together as a team im so proud of you guys"
Hinata smiled "Thank you Kakashi-sensei, Anko-sensei"
"I'm actually proud of you squirt" Anko smiled
Sasuke nodded and smirked which is something Kakashi took as a thank you.
Iruka smiled "Naruto first I gave you your headband and now I hand you your chunin vest I am extremely proud of you" Iruka smiled
Naruto smiled holding the jacket "I wouldn't be where I am now if not for all of you, I am a better shinobi because of you being in my corner rooting me on thank you all"
'And you too Kurama-sensei' he thought
"YOU SAID YOU'D SHOW THE WORLD OUR POWER THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING KIT" Kurama replied
Everyone smiled at his words and beneath Tsunade's smile was a single thought as she watched the new chunin congratulate each other while the shinobi council clapped for the newly ranked shinobi. 'Cherish it now Naruto because your life is about to change in many ways'
Anko smirked "You gaki's managed to pull it off so what do you have to say for yourselves?"
"ALRIGHT! we did it guys" Naruto bellowed out
Hinata smiled at her boyfriend antics both her and Sasuke looked at the vest and unknowingly had the same thought 'This is proof that I've become stronger'
Takeru smiled and looked up to the heavens knowing that his parents all 3 of them were looking upon him with pride this day
Shikamaru simply yawned "What a drag this just means I have to do more work doesn't it"
"Indeed it does, congratulations to you all for achieving the rank of chunin I expect nothing but hard work from the five of you in the future but before you all go celebrate this achievement I need you all to come with me there is one more thing that needs to be discussed all of you come with me" Tsunade stated as she and the shinobi council got up
"Hai Hokage-sama" they all called out
