Chapter 5: Yusho Sasaki's Tale
Zuzu was speechless as she ran over to Yusho crying next to him while on her knees.
Alexis and few students were confused at the younger girl's reaction.
"I figured I get this kind of reaction." Yusho said petting the girl on the head.
Zuzu looked up with tears of relief. "Why are you here?"
"A lot of stuff happened before I came here I was in the Xyz Dimension." Yusho replied.
"Wait, you were in Xyz." Zuzu said surprised. "But Duel Academy already invaded there!"
"You seem to know a lot as well." Yusho said with a frown.
"Yes, I encountered several duelists that came from that dimension." Zuzu explained.
"I see, anyway I was in the XYz Dimension when the invasion was underway, there I was sent across the Dimensions by a certain youth." Yusho said.
"A certain youth?" Zuzu asked confused.
"Yes, his name is..." Yusho began to say.
Meanwhile in the Xyz Dimension.
In a Duel Academy base.
"Ah, its getting late, its getting late, its getting late!" A man protested impatiently. "According to my calculations the progress of the Arc Area Project in the Xyz Dimension has falling behind the schedule by 3 days, 18 hours, 43 minutes, and 58 seconds!"
The man was pacing left and side while looking at his pocket watch. "Now look, its turned into 44 minutes, at this rate, the Professor is going to scold me for this, we have to turn all the residents into cards as soon as possible, you all get, you, you, and you as well!" He shouted pointing at some tech workers.
"YES SIR!" Two men stammered.
"Good grief...and while I'm losing my mind here, the Commander-in chief who was supposed to take my charge is absent today as well, where the heck did he go?!" The man asked even more impatiently.
Out in a open area.
A man wearing a hooded cloak was walking through then he took out a half card which was Smile World. "Where did he go to?"
Somewhere not too far Yuya was walking nearby completely frustrated at what Ales told him. "One day, he just disappeared all of a sudden, he abandoned us and ran away!"
Yusho's son banged his hand on nearby wall. "That's not true, my dad wouldn't run away and abandon people who are suffering because of Duel Academy!"
Yuya began to walk. "Hey, Yuto I know you can hear me, did you know about my father and he came here?"
"I'm sorry I never met your father." Yuto replied.
"Don't lie to me, your words to me were exactly what my father said." Yuya spatted.
Flashback scene.
"Remember to keep the world entertained, to make people happy and to smile." Yuto said in a weaken tone.
Flashback ends.
"The kind of words are what my father would say." Yuya added.
"No, those words came from Lulu on that day we were attacked." Yuto stated.
A Flashback scene.
During the invasion.
People were screaming through the street while countless Giant Chaos Ancient Gear Giant destroyed nearby by flying jets.
Yuto activated his duel disk.
"This is wrong!" A voice cried.
He turned to see Lulu hugging a child while Sarah was watching her injured friend.
"Dueling isn't for creating fighting war and to hurt others!" Lulu added in a crying tone.
"Now that I think about it, Lulu probably learned about Yusho Sasaki's teachings through Sarah." Yuto stated.
Flashback ends.
Yuya reached into a locker and took out a card.
"Because it seems like Yusho was at Clover Branch, which Sarah attended."
"I see, then your using the same words as my dad is because..." Yuya said as he noticed a picture of Yuto, Lulu, and Shay.
Then he looked further inside the locker and saw Sibella hugging Sibella.
"Your sister seems to kind fond of Shay." Yuya said.
"Yes, he would protect her whenever she was teased for her vampire nature." Yuto said with a troubled look.
Flashback scene.
"When word got out that she was part vampire, some people were scared of her." Yuto explained.
He remembered a few people teasing her and calling her a freak of nature.
"She was so hurt by the people here, however..."
Shay and Lulu stood in front of her and glared at the people teasing.
"They manage to tell the people to leave her alone." Yuto added. "Ever since that day, Lulu and Shay were her first friends."
Sibella was then shown to dueling with a smile on her face.
"Soon, Sibella manage to warm up to other people in the city." Yuto stated with a smile. "I was happy for her and that she made a lot of friends, soon people of Heartland City, started to warm up to her."
Flashback ends.
"That's quite the story." Yuya said looking surprised. "I assume you saw Sibella use Fusion Summoning, did you?"
"Yes, I was little shocked but its quite obvious that she'll use it for good." Yuto replied. "I never been so proud of her."
Yuya then walked down a stairway. "I wonder if I'm able to talk to you like this because we're in the Xyz Dimension..."
"When you dueled against that Barrett I heard a voice seething from deep inside my heart." Yuto stated.
A flashback scene.
"Back then, our four Dragons were calling out to each other, as if they were trying to become one." Yuto added.
Linebreak.
"Yeah, I remember the unpleasant feeling during that time, which was the feeling of having your body and mind taken over by some unknown being..." Yuya agreed. "Maybe we being able to talk now has something to do with that." Yuto said. "Somehow, I feel that residing inside you..."
"Is that so, what is going then?" Yuya asked.
"What are you doing here?" A voice asked.
The Dueltainer turned around and saw from a broken wall that a man was standing on.
"Ah, well...I'm searching for my dad..." Yuya began to reply as the man jumped in front of him.
"Hmm, what is his name?" The man asked.
Yuya was quiet but confused.
"I'm asking your father's name." The man said. "I'l probably be able to find him."
"Huh, who are you?" Yuya asked suspiciously.
"Hurry up!" The man shouted impatiently.
"Uh my dad's name is Yusho Sasaki-" Yuya began to reply.
The man clenched his fist in anger. "You're the son of Yusho Sasaki?!"
That the young dueltainer's attention"Could it be...you know my father?"
"I could never forget that name." The man said looking angry.
"There's a person who hates dad here as well..." Yuya wondered in shock.
"If you really are Yusho's son..." The man said as he took jumped further away and activated his duel disk. "I can use you as bait to lure him out!"
"That duel disk is from..." Yuya said in realization. "Duel Academy!" Yuto finished sharing the same expression.
"Did you duel against my dad, when and where?" Yuya asked.
"It has nothing to do with you!" The man replied.
"Please tell me, what happened between you and my dad!?" Yuya begged.
"Enough chatter!" The man ordered impatiently.
Yuya realizing that he had no choice so he put his duel disk on and activating it.
"Field Spell: Crossover!" His Duel Disk proclaimed.
The field was activated with walkway blocks scattered above.
"I'll find out what happened between him and dad!" Yuya said with determination.

"I'll go first, I summon Performapal-Allcover Hippo!"

"Allcover Hippo's ability activates which lets me Summon another Performapal from my hand, Hip-Hippo, you're up!"

"Due to Allcover Hippo's ability, he and Hip-Hippo are switched into Defense mode!" Yuya stated.

"I place one facedown and my turn." Yuya added setting down a card.
"Let's see how this goes."
Yuto's spirit appeared. "Your opponent is from Duel Academy, don't let your guard down."
"I know, I need to talk to him about my dad." Yuya whispered.
"So you use Performapal Monsters, now I know for sure you're Yusho Sasaki's son." The man stated quietly. "Now I'll go all out, its my turn!"
He then took a card into a hand. "I summon Destiny Hero- Drillguy!"
Destiny Hero Drillguy Level 4 Attack 1600
"On the turn I summon a D-hero from my hand, I can activate the Spell Card: D-Pressure, This lets me Special Summon a D-Hero with an attack points that is lower than or equal of that monster's!"
A monster appeared from his Spell.
"Come out another Drillguy!"
Destiny Hero Drillguy Level 4 Attack 1600
"When Drillguy attack a monster in defense mode, it can inflict the difference as damage." The man explained. "GO DRILLGUYS!"
THe first Drillguy destroyed Allcover with its huge driller.
Yuya: 3200
Then the Second Drillguyd destroyed Hip-Hippo with its driller.
Yuya is sent flying on his back. "AAAAH!"
Yuya: 2400
"I place two cards facedown and end my turn." The unknown man said.
Yuya struggled to get up. "Are you alright, this guys seems to be serious about taking you down!" Yuto exclaimed.
"Even so, I...will still believe that we can talk through dueling...MY TURN!" Yuya declared drawing from his deck. "I activate Smile World!"
His spell activated and faces with smiles appeared around in the air.
"Until the End Phase, all monsters on the field will gain 100 attack for every monster on the field." Yuya explained.
2x Destiny Hero Drillguy Attack 1600-1800
The man clenched his fist again. "Smile World..." He grumbled.
"When I have no monsters on my field and the attack points of my opponents monsters goes up I can activate the Trap Card: Smile Potion!"
A potion with a smile face appeared and poured out purple liquid.
"With its effect, I can draw two cards!" Yuya declared drawing two cards.
"I activate my trap: D-Fusion, I can activate this trap during my opponents turn, its effect allows me to send my two Drillguys to the graveyard, to Fusion Summon!" THe man explained.
"Here it comes!" Yuto exclaimed.
"My two heroes who pierce through the bedrock of destiny, become one now and regin supreme in the pitch-black future, I Fusion Summon, Destiny Hero-Dystopiaguy!"
Destiny Hero-Dystopiaguy Level 8 Attack 2800
Yuya then ran off.
"Dystopiaguy's ability activates which inflicts damage equal to the attack points of one of the Drillguys that was used for its materials!" The man explained.
Dystopiaguy put its hand out and a light ball of energy came out of its palm.
Yuya continued to run but was hit the knocked on the ground.
Yuya: 800
"You're getting tossed around and you still intisting on talking to him?!" Yuto asked with a frustrated look.
Yuya began to pant. "Yes, I can talk to him, if its through dueling then I can talk to him."
"He's a member of Duel Academy, they burned down my hometown!" Yuto protested.
"He knows my dad!" Yuya shouted which made his Xyz counterpart silent.
"I want to know where my dad went, if I don't talk to him now, I probably won't get antoher chance to gain some clues!" Yuya chanted. "He hates Yusho Sasaki, in other words even if it were Yusho Sasaki he wounldn't be able to make him smile!" Yuto stated.
"When I and others returned here, saw this desolated scenery of this city, I had some second thoughts, bringing smiles through dueling,that is certainly an ideal, but we can only achieve that ideal...AFTER DEFEATING DUEL ACADEMY!" Yuto spatted in fury.
"Ugh...Ah...AHHH!" Yuya groaned in pain as his eyes glowed purple. "I use the Scale 3 Performapal Seal Eel and Scale 5 Performapal Chain Giraffe to set the Pendulum Scale, I'm taking control of this duel starting now!"
His two Pendulum Monsters appeared in the two Pendulum Zones.
"With this I can summon monsters that are level 4, Swing far Pendulum, crave the Arc of Victory, my monsters are ready to swing into action!" Yuya and Yuto chanted as their monsters appeared. "I Pendulum Summon!"
"What is Pendulum Summon?" The man asked.
"First off, Performapal SKit Skater level 4 Attack 500
"Performapal Helpprincess Level 4 Attack 1200
"This is Pendulum Summon!" The man said completely stunned.
"I activate Seal Eel's Pendulum Ability, I negate Dystoppiaguy's ability this turn and recover life points equal to the damage inflicted on me before." Yuya explained.
Yuya: 2400
"Then I overlay Level Skit Skater and Help-princess!"
His two monsters disfigured into energy and went up down to the ground.
"Cloaking in the shadows, relentless in its objections, I call upon the most dangerous of Dragons, I Xyz Summon: Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon Rank 4 Attack 2500
"I use one of Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragons Overlay Units, until the end phase, I can cut of Dystopiaguy's attack points in half and Dark Rebellion gains those attack points." Yuya explained.
Destiny Hero-Dystopiaguy Attack 2800-1400
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon Attack 2500-3900
"If only Dystopiaguy's ability wasn't sealed away." The man muttered.
"Furthermore, I can use the remaining Overlay Unit and cut Dystopiaguy's attack points in half and Dark Rebellion gains those attack points." Yuya added.
Destiny Hero-Dystopiaguy Attack 1400-700
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon Attack 3900-4600
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon attack, Mauling Manible Charge!"
"The effect of the trap Card: D-Fusion prevents monsters thar were Special Summon through its effect this." The man explained.
"You still take damage!" Yuya declared.
The man was sent to the wall of a building.
Unknown: 100
"I end my turn, at this moment Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's ability ends." Yuya added.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon Attack 4600-2500
"Including Seal Eel's Pendulum ability also ends."
Yuya regain his senses and felt the same pain again.
The man got up on his feet. "I didn't expect Yusho's son to be able to Xyz Summon, he said he came from a different dimension after all, it doesn't matter, I will do whatever it takes to defeat you, my turn!"
He drew from his deck. "I attack with Dystopiaguy, go Dystopia Blow!"
Dystopiaguy powered up its attack on its left hand and charged destroying Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon.
Yuya: 2100
"Performapal Chain Giraffe's Pendulum ability activates by destroyed it, I can special summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon which was destroyed in battle." Yuya explained.
the Giraffe brought back Yuto's Dragon with two pairs of chains.
"He hasn't learned his lesson and brought out that Xyz monster again." The man stated. "When my opponent Special summons during Battle Phase, I can banish one D-Hero from my graveyard, like my other Drillguy, then I activate the trap: D-Devil Dance, which I can reduce Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's attack points by the same amount as the banished Drillguy!"
The man's trap unleashed a light stream of energy and hit Yuto's Dragon on its chest
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon Attack 2500-900
"When a Monster is targeted by this effect, a D-Hero can attack it twich during this turn." The man added.
"A monster Special Summoned by Chain Giraffe's Pendulum ability can't be destroyed this turn." Yuya declared.
"But you won't be able to avoid damage!" The man stated.
Yuya was sent flying away again on the ground.
Yuya: 200
"From my hand I activate the continuous Spell: D-Death Match and end my turn." The man finished. "If you keep using Xyz monsters you won't ever be able to defeat me."
Yuya looked at the Continuous Spell realizing what the man was talking about.
"With this card, during every End Phase, I can copmare the total of Levels of all Monsters, if I have the higher Total levels, A D-Hero on the field gains the attack points equal to the difference between the total levels times 100." The man explained.
"But Totals Levels..." Yuya said confused.
"Xyz Monsters don't have Levels." Yuto said knowing what his Standard counterpart was getting at.
"Exactly, my Dystopiaguy is Level 8 while your Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon has no Level, so the defense is 8, Dystopiaguy can gain 800 attack points." The man explained.
Destiny-Hero Dystopiaguy Attack 2800-3600
"At this moment Dystopiaguy's ability activates when its attack point is modified, it can destroy a card on the field, I chose to destroy Seal Eel!" The man declared as his Destiny Hero unleashed a wind that sucked in Seal Eel into the palm of its hand. "Now you can no longer negate Dystopiaguy's ability, I'll have you take some damage as well, see my Trap: D-Death Match effect deals you damage equal to the amount that Dystopiaguy gained."
His Continuous Spell unleashed a purple stream of energy and Yuya ran off then snatched an Action Card.
"I activate the Action Spell: Acceleration, so the effect damage is zero!" He explained dodged the energy stream.
"What?" The man asked confused yet shocked. "I see, you can't beat me, Due to D-Death Match's effect every End Phase, you will recieve damage!"
"I will not forgive him!" Yuto's voice said angrily which made his Standard look alike gasp. "He's been hunting down my comrades like this...I'm sure he's defeated the Duelists of the Resistance."
"Yuto!" Yuya said in shock.
"Right now, I'm regretting that I've ever gone to the Standard Dimension, if I had stayed in Heartland with the others, we would've have probably been able to protect those, including Kite's family and my many of my comrades!" Yuto protested angrily.
"ENOUGH, STOP IT, YUTO!" Yuya shouted as he felt the same pain in his chest and drew from his deck. "Its here, I activate the Spell: Rank-Up-Magic Phantom Knights of Launch, using this card and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon as Martials."
Yuto's Dragon was then engulfed into darkness.
"I can now Xyz Summon a Monster with a higher Rank, from the depth of Purgatory, sing the song of Rebellion dedicated to the restless souls, let it echo for all eternity and appear, Rank-Up Xyz Evolution, Rank 5 Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon!"
Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon Rank 5 Attack 3000
"Now Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's ability activates, once per turn I can use one Overlay Material until the End Phase of this turn I can reduce a Level 5 or higher Monster's attack points to zero!" Yuya explained. "Then I can add that amount to Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's attack points!"
Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon unleashed a dark energy like rope onto Dystopiaguy which tied it up.
Destiny Hero-Dystopiaguy Attack 3600-0
Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon Attack 3000-6600
"That's useless, when Dystopiaguy's attack points is modified, its effect will activate and your dragon will be destroyed!" The man stated with a glare.
Dystopiaguys had a dark hole on its chest and inhaled.
"I'll use anothe of Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's overlay Units, I Special Summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon then negate Dystopiaguy's ability!" Yuya explained.
"He managed to summon the Dragon and negate my effect!" The man said frustrated.
"Now Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon Attack Dystopiaguy!" Yuya commanded as his Dark Requiem Dragon flew higher into the sky.
On the Dragon's wings were lighten up with symbols on its of wings span. "This ends, Requiescent Disaster Manible Charge!"
The man then ran and grabbed an Action Card but then tossed it aside as he looked at his hand. "There is no other choice, I send Destiny Hero-Dynamiteguy from my hand to the graveyard to activate its ability, when my life points are lower than my opponents, battle damage is negated and both players recieve 1000 points of damage!"
"WHAT?" Yuya asked.
Dynammiteguy's ability caused a huge explosion.
Yuya: 0
Yuya was sent flying into a building wall which collapsed into rumble burying him under.
The strange cloaked man fell on his left knee.
Unknown: 0
Just then an approaching vehicle arrived.
"Hurry, Commander-in-Chief, are you hurt?" A man asked.
Yuya was barely conscious but was still able to hear the man. "He's the commander-in-Chief?"
Meanwhile at Fusion Dimension.
"His name is Aster Phoenix." Yusho finished who was holding a piece of Smile World. "He's the Commander-in-Chief of Duel Academy."
"Aster Phoenix." Zuzu said as her teacher gazed at the half part of Smile World.
