Yuya was beginning to wake up after his duel with a mysterious Duel Academy. "(Uh, that man, why does he hate my father, more importantly, is my dad ok?)"
Just then he heard some pieces of rumble slightly kicked which caused him to turn around.
There walked towards him was William the duelist that he and his Standard friends met during the Battle Royale.
"I remember you, William is it?" The Dueltainer asked.
William scoffed at his real name. "My name is Wolf, no longer William."
Yuya was slightly confused at the former member of the Resistance's behavior. "Uh, what are you talking about?"
Wolf ignored the question and activated his duel disk. "I got a score to settle with you, Yuya Sasaki!"
This left Yuya confused. "Wha, why do you need a settle a score with me?"
"You have defended a Fusion Freak back in the Standard Dimension!" Wolf snarled.
Yuya's eyes narrowed in realization as an image of Sora came to his head. "Oh, you mean Sora Perse, look he's not-"
"Sora was a member of Duel Academy, you didn't seem to realize he was hiding secrets like him being a warrior of Duel Academy!" Wolf interrupted.
"Ugh, I know, I admit I was shocked by Sora's sudden behavior when he dueled against Shay," Yuya said sighing.
Wolf then had a smirk on his face. "Yes, I was told that brat threw a temper tantrum after his strategies were countered easily, that Sora Perse a loser!"
Yuya's eyes twitched at William's remark.
"A sore one at that, he deserved to get a beaten, if I were the one dueling him in the Arc League Junior Championship then I would've turned that brat into a card!" William stated with a creepy smirk.
"Sora isn't here!" Yuya shouted. "Secondly he's not the enemy anymore!"
William found the Dueltainer's slight temper tantrum quite amusing. "Ha, you have quite the temper, that doesn't seem like something from Yusho Sasaki."
Hearing William speaking of his dad caught his attention. "My father..."
Flashback scene.
"Yusho Sasaki was our teacher and taught us to the world of Dueltaining and duel with a smile," Sarah stated.
Yuya remembered Sarah's words about his dad being a teacher at the school and the one that Sarah and Alex went attended.
"Your father is a coward, he left us without saying a single word, leaving us to rot!" Alex protested.
Flashback ends.
William noticed the Dueltainer's face. "I assume from that look on your face means that my former comrades told you about your father?"
Yuya nodded his head slowly. "Ye-yes."
"Aha, it's lucky he's not around, we don't need any comrades who would leave their own to fight a hard battle." Wolf clenched his hand.
Yuya began to feel a slight of anger fueling his body but recollected himself. "Ugh, look my father would never abandon anyone!"
"Oh really, why did he leave you in the first place then?" Wolf asked.
"Cause he found about the Dimensional wars including Duel Academy's plan of attack on Xyz Dimension!" Yuya answered.
"Of course, but on the other hand, who was the one first to tell him about Duel Academy and the invasion of our hometown?" Wolf asked.
The Dueltainer went suddenly quiet and didn't have an answer to that.
"I think I know who told him," Wolf said getting Yusho's son's attention. "It's possible that know-it-all Leo President, Declan Akaba was the one that told your father about Duel Academy and their plan of invasion Xyz."
"What, Declan would never keep that kind of stuff from us Lancers!" Yuya shouted.
"Amazing, you seem to trust Declan now." Wolf chuckled amusingly. "The last I checked, you were so furious that Declan knew about Duel Academy was going to attack Standard, he used the Battle Royale to keep things smooth, and witnessing the falls of those that were defeated by Obelisk Force."
"Look, I realize Declan was only trying to help us, he acts cold once and while but he's a caring guy!" Yuya stated.
"If that's so, who was the one that told your father about Duel Academy's dimensional war?" Wolf asked.
"ENOUGH!" Yuya screamed angrily.
"Touchy are we, anyway after coming back home to Heartland City, it felt good taking down more Duel Academy thugs," Wolf said smiling maliciously. "Seeing those punks at my mercy felt so great, not as great seeing them scream for their lives, like little pigs meeting their end."
"Duel Academy isn't going to change if you and your friends keep fighting like as you all are now!" Yuya protested.
"Duel Academy will never change and that is why we should fight to show no mercy!" Wolf remarked clenching his hand.
"Conflict is wrong, that's not what dueling is supposed to be about!" Yuya shouted. "If this fighting keeps up then it'll never stop nor hate and anger will be gone!"
"Tsk, I don't care what you think, Duel Academy will fall in ruins one day and then Leo Akaba will be next!" Wolf snarled.
"Not on my watch, I have friends that need rescuing and to make the world smile!" Yuya proclaimed. "I will not let anyone use dueling for conflict!"
Wolf smirked sinisterly. "Is that so, when are you going stop me first?"
Yuya decided to wait to answer that.
"Is that a no, then you and your wannabe girlfriend Zuzu can just go take your ideas to someone who cares!" Wolf chuckled.
Hearing his friend Zuzu being called a wannabe made him mad. "How dare you call Zuzu a wannabe!"
"Then make me take it back in a duel!" Wolf snarled with an evil smirk.
"Bring it!" Yuya declared angrily
They both activated their duel disks.
Yuya: 4000
Wolf: 4000
"I'll let you go first since your Yusho's son." Wolf chuckled.
"Fine then!" Yuya declared taking a card into his hand. "I Summon Performapal Skit Skater!"
Performapal Skeeter Skimmer Level 4 Attack 500
"I place card facedown and end my turn."
Wolf smirked at this as he put his hand on top of his deck. "I sense anger just like when he dueled against Iggy Arolo and Declan Akaba."
The Dueltainer noticed the Former Resistance Warrior's face. "I'll wipe that smirk off his face."
"I draw!" Wolf declared drawing from his deck. "I summon K-9 Shaggy Beast in attack mode!"
K-9 Shaggy Beast Level 4 Attack 1000
"When this card is successfully Normal summoned, I'm allowed to summon out another K-9 Monster from my hand that's Level 4 or below."
He took a monster from his hand and placed it on the Monster Card Zone. "I chose K-9 Wolf Solider!"
A Black Wolf wearing a military uniform appeared wielding a pistol gun.
K-9 Black Wolf Solider Level 3 Attack 600
"Now its ability activates whenever its Special summoned due to a card effect, its level increases by 1."
K-9 Black Wolf Solider Level 3-4
"I activate the Continuous Spell: K-9 Strike Unit, whenever there is two or more K-9 on my field, once at each end of my turn, my opponent takes 400 points of damage for each one on my field," Wolf explained. "I will end my turn now."
The Continuous Spell fired three energy beams at the Dueltainer which send him rolling across the ground.
Yuya: 3200
Yuya got up on his feet. "Man, guess that duel against Aster has gotten a toll on me."
"What's wrong, you look a little winded?" Wolf chuckled in a mockery tone.
Yuya shook his head. "No, this duel is just getting started!"
Alex and Sarah were searching around the school area which was Clover school.
"This school wasn't like this before," Alex commented.
Flashback starts.

"Jason was an excellent duelist, he was very strong and always put on a good duel," Alex said. "He and Leonard were rivals, they always had a rivalry towards each other, but they always did duel very well."
Sarah sighed. "Yes, William, he loved dueling, to be honest, he started to take lessons about Dueltaining, he did well, he always put a great show like Yusho Sasaki."
Alex gritted his teeth. "Yes, I too looked up to Yusho Sasaki but he left us all to fight alone, he never came back, which proves he's a coward!"
Flashback scene.
Cerea was now their mind. "Yes, there was Cerea, she loved flying with her Sky Guardians, they would always love to do the same flying stun that Yusho did when he summoned his Magician."
Alex sighs were heard. "Yes, she had a cousin, Carla, she did look up to Yusho in a way."
"However, since the last full attack," Sarah said sadly.
Flashback continues.
Images of their comrades fell in battle and were carded. "It's awful losing our friends, now I failed to protect Cerea's cousin."
Sarah was searching around a street and then walked into an alleyway. "I found Cerea's cousin against two strong Amazon duelists, they were so strong, I wanted help, but I...I felt fear in my body because that I ran away like a scared puppy!" Sarah remembered how she ran away and then heard Carla's scream of defeat.
Then Sarah returned to the base telling Cerea about what happened. "I told I found her, I was going to help her, then the two amazon warriors were given off a strong power, I let fear overwhelm me!"
Cerea's face had a look of anger and disappointment. "I'll never forget the look on her face, which haunted me including what she said to me next."
Cerea grabbed Sarah by her shirt with her hand. "You...you...left her... you coward, YOU LEFT HER TO SEALED IN A CARD!"
Sarah had tears of guilt in her eyes. "I'm so sorry!"
Cerea scoffed away. "We're not friends, I need cowards for friends, you and the Resistances are on your own."
Flashback ends
Sarah put her hands on her face. "I'll never forgive myself, I let Carla down and Cerea is angry at me, she's right I am a coward."
Alex put his hand on her shoulder. "Look, you need to get a grip, Cerea was just upset."
Sarah lowered her head and her eyes hidden.

In the location where Yuya and Wolf were dueling.
Gong and Sylvio arrived.
"What is this?" The Dojo man asked.
"Looks like Yuya is dueling..." Sylvio's eyes widened. "Hey, you're one of Shay's pals!"
Gong sighed. "No duh."
"I draw!" Yuya proclaimed drawing from his deck. "I set Scale 8 Harmonizing and Scale 4 Performapal Trump Witch to set the Pendulum Scale, I'm taking control of this duel starting now!"
His two Magicians appeared in the Pendulum Zones. "Now I can summon monsters between Level 4 and 7 all at the same time, SWING FAR PENDULUM, CRAVE THE ARC OF VICTORY, MY MONSTER IS READY TO SWING INTO ACTION!"
His monster appeared from the hole that was in the sky. "Let's turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon Level 7 Attack 2500
"He summoned out his Dragon already!" Gong cheered.
"Wolf is in for now!" Sylvio added with a smirk.
However, Wolf just smirked. "He thinks he can defeat me using Pendulum Summon including Fusion and Xyz, he's in for a surprise too." He thought gazing at his deck.
"Odd-Eyes attack K-9 Wolf Soldier!" The Pendulum dragon unleashed its fiery breath at the wolf soldier as Wolf dashed and leaped onto nearby floating platforms. "Like the wolf, I'm swift and cunning." Yuya wondered what the older man meant. "I activated from my hand a quick-spell: K-9 Escape, by sending a spell card from my hand, like this Action Spell Evasion, I can stop one of my opponent's attacks!" The K-9 soldier swift escaped the wrath of Yuya's dragon.
"No way!" Sylvio exclaimed. "He used an action spell to activate his quick spell."
Gong had to admit he was impressed. "Yeah, Gong realizes this dude could've used a spell from his hand, but he may save other spell cards he might have in his hand or maybe he doesn't have any more spells at all in his hand."
"Not only that but dropping K-9 Wolf Soldier's attack points to zero I can a draw one card." William drew a card from his deck and glanced at it with a faint smirk as Yuto's spirit caught a slight glimpse of his comrade's reaction. "I have a feeling things are going to get tough."
K-9 Wolf Soldier Attack 600-0
Yuya took a card from his hand. "I placed a card facedown and not only that I tribute Trump Witch to add a Polymerization from my deck." He looked at his hand. "Hmm, I don't have the card I need to fusion summon Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon or anything, so I'll wait." He looked back at Wolf. "I end my turn since I did, K-9 Wolf Soldier's attack points back to normal."
K-9 Wolf Soldier Attack 0-600
Gong saw the look in his friend's eyes. "Yuya must have not the right monster for a fusion summoning."
Yuya then looks towards William. "It's your move," William smirked. "Yes, it is." He drew from his deck and his eyes widened with satisfaction. "Ha, this shall be your nightmare!" Yuya, Sylvio, and Gong gasped in worrisome.
Wolf-like beast with black fur that was dark as the night sky appeared and letting out a howl while the other was another wearing a magician-like uniform and wielding a magic staff which the top was the head of the wolf.
"I set the Pendulum Scale Scale 1 Star Beast Welf and Scale 7 Star Magician Wolf, with these comes a better pack of canine creatures that'll give you something to howl about!" A light came from the sky and onto the field. "I Pendulum Summon Tuner Monster Snow Fang of the Arctic!"
Snow Fang of the Arctic Level 2 Attack 1000
"A Tuner Monster!" Yuya exclaimed in surprise.
"I tune Snow Fang of the Arctic with Level 4 K-9 Shaggy Beast!"
"He's Synchro Summoning!" Gong exclaimed in surprise.
"Behold a beast with super speed and strength that can withstand the chills of Arctic!" A blizzard-like mist appearing through the area.
Sylvio started to shiver. "Dang-it, why-is it-getting-so-so cold..." His teeth chattered as his body trembled.
"Don't a-a-ask Gong..." Gong shivered.
"I Synchro Summon: Level 6 Arctic Shaggy K-9 Dogman!" A white fur shaggy-like dog creature appeared through the cold mist with glowing eyes brightly shining through the mist as it let out a chilling howl.
Arctic Shaggy K-9 Dogman Level 6 Attack 2400 Defense 1900
"I now activate its special ability: Chilling Blizzard!" A strong chilling blizzard blew around the area as Yuya covered his face with his arm. "Dang it, this blizzard is strong!" Suddenly he caught a glimpse of Odd-Eyes starting to shiver and then it was frozen solid. "What have you done!?"
Wolf smirked. "Your dragon is frozen, see whenever my opponent has monsters that are a non-water monster that monster is frozen unable to attack or defend your life points."
Yuya realized the situation and noticed that Skeeter Skimmer wasn't affected. "Good, I can still Skeeter's ability to defend itself and myself too."
William knew what the Dueltainer was thinking. "Let me guess, you're hoping that Skeeter's ability will save you?"
Yuya groaned realizing the other guy knows his strategy which confirmed William's guess. "Yes, that would be the case, but I'll show you, Arctic Shaggy Dogman attacks his little insect pest!" The canine-like dogman charged towards the little bug monster with high speed. "I activate Performapal Skeeter Skimmer's ability, whenever it's in attack mode, I can switch it into defense mode plus negating your attack!"
Performpal Skeeter Skimmer Defense 1600
That insect switched into a defense position and negated the dogman monster's attack. "Nice try, but I have to share bad news, see when Arctic Shaggy Dogman fails to destroy its target, by dropping 400 for this turn-"
Arctic Shaggy K-9 Dogman Attack 2300-1900
"It can attack twice!" William finished as Yuya flinched as he looked around quickly and saw an Action spell on one of the nearby platforms. "Sweet!" He dashed towards the platforms and jumped as he snatched one as the Dogman monster drew closer to his insect creature. "I play the Action Spell: Evasion, which saves my monster!"
"Sorry, to disappoint you but whenever I use K-9 Dogman's ability my opponent can't activate spells for during the battle phase!"
"Oh no!" Yuya exclaimed as his poor insect was swiped by the Dogman beast and destroyed creating resulting shockwaves as Yuya covered his face using his arm while Willam just stood still calmly.
"Then both players take damage equal to that monster's attack points!"
Yuya: 2700
William: 3500
"Don't forget I have a K-9 Dog soldier too, so it's fair to let him have his attack!" The wolf-like soldier aimed and fired his pistol at Yuya knocked him down to the ground. "Ugh!"
Gong and Sylvio gasped in shock. "Yuya!"
Yuya: 2100
"Don't forget since my turn is ending my continuous spell: K-9 Strike Unit shall take 400 points of damage for each K-9 monster on the field, since I have two, you take 800 points of damage!"
The spell card fired two energy-like beams at Yuya that struck him and send him falling onto the ground. "AAAHH!"
Yuya: 1300
"Gong can't believe this, Yuya is far behind!" Gong exclaimed in disbelief.
Sylvio's eyes filled with concern. "If this keeps up then it's curtains for Yuya!"
Willam laughed insanely. "Hahaha! This quite amusing seeing you scream like the animal that's being attacked!" He calmed down a little. "Hah, I shall end my turn."
Yuya got up slowly as his vision began to get blurry. "Man, this is getting so-"
Yuto gritted his teeth. "Man, William went through a change, it's almost like he lost his-"
"Yuya, stand strong, you can't pass out!" Gong cheered.
"Yeah, if you lose like this, it'll make me look bad!" Sylvio protested raising his arm. "If anyone is going to kick your butt in a duel, it's gonna be me!"
Yuya struggled back on his feet. "Right, I'm not done yet!" He drew from his deck. "I play one of my face Peformapal Replacement, by banishing the destroyed Peformapal from the graveyard I can summon out the same monster as long as its name is Peformapal and Level is the same.
A snake-like creature with a black top hat with a yellow bow appeared. "Come out Performapal Whip Snake!"
Performapal Whip Snake Level 4 Attack 1700 Defense 900
"I activate my other trap card, Performapal Lucky Draw!"
Gong was intrigued. "Yuya must have an idea."
"Since I can only activate this when I have one Performapal monster on my field, however due to this trap I can't normal summoning!" The Dueltainer explained.
Sylvio was jaw dropped as he began to wave his hands comically. "What's the deal, how can you do that!?"
Gong whacked him on the head. "Easy man, Yuya can still special summon!"
"Right, as I was saying thanks to this trap I can draw the same number of cards as of my Performapal's level."
William just stood calmly as Yuya continued. "Whip Snake is level 4 so I can draw four cards from my deck!" He drew four cards from his hands swiftly as he glanced at each one and smiled.
Gong smirked as he knew his friend was about to turn the tables or curtains on William. "It's showtime..."
"I SWINGING TO ACTION ONE MORE TIME!" Yuya proclaimed as he held the four cards he drew which gave off a glow that shined brightly. "The first card I play is Performapal Surprise!"
A bunch of party horns blew. "Whenever there's only one Performapal Monster on my field, I can summon out the same one from my hand whose level is the same that's on the field." He took another card from his hand. "I choose Performapal Camelump!"
Performapal Camelump Level 4 Attack 800 Defense 1800
"With Performapal Camelump and Whip Snake, I shall build the overlay Network!" William knew where this was going. "Don't tell me-" As the dark shadowy fog appeared.
"Yes, Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective, I call upon the most dangerous of Dragons!" A wing dragon appeared from the dark shadowy fog. "I Xyz Summon: Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
"Yuto's Dragon! I see you summoned like my rival's dragon." William said as he smirked. "I bet you're going to take revenge for the trash talk I said about your father."
Yuya was silent as he took a deep breath. "No!" The other man's raised his eyebrows. "I don't want revenge, I promised that I show people the joy of dueling and make them smile!"
William gasped quietly as Yuya continued his speech. "I met countless duelists that lost their way but mostly the duelists from the Xyz Dimension have lost themselves!"
Gong nodded. "That's right, you may not know this wolf guy, but those that are still with the Lancers and that came here with us have remembered what dueling is truly about!"
William's mind was trigged as a memory of him with Yuto and the others.
William remembered countless days that he dueled against Yuto. "Back then, the duels were fun, I lost count of the duels I won and those that I lost but, I remember that one defeat which by Yuto, he was strong and gave his all including what he said in our first duel."
Yuto approached the falling Willaim. "Hey, you dueled very well, you know you can hang out with us I mean it's not fun when hanging all by yourself." He offered his hand as a sign of respect which William took.
A small smile began to form on his face. "Back then Dueling was a joy and giving the crowd...a show..."
"I activate my third card, Performapal Reverse Time!" Yuya proclaimed.
"What does that do?" William asked.
"By giving up 1000 life points-"
Yuya: 300
"I can reverse the frozen effect that you did to Odd-Eyes!" Yuya finished as the ice that froze his dragon began to melt giving Odd-Eyes to break free from the ice letting out a roar of triumph. "In other words, I can undo my dragon's frozen and use it against my opponent's monster!"
"Oh no!" William shouted in shock.
The Shaggy Dogman was frozen in its blizzard.
"Last card I shall play Polymerization!" A fusion vortex began to appear from behind the detainer. "I Fuse Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon with the monster the card I drew a while ago Performapal Knight Warrior!" A man with black hair in a ponytail style and wearing silver armor and wielding a silver shiny sword appeared. "With Beast Tamer merge with the Odd-Eyes to become the perfect team of dueltaining!"
The vortex glowed brightly. "So I Fusion Summon: Silver Eyes Dragon Rider!" The Odd-Eyes's body was all silver-like scales with silver eye color and on his back was the Knight Warrior wielding a sword.
Silver Eyes Dragon Rider Level 7 Attack 2600 Defense 2000
"I activate its special ability!" Yuya proclaimed. "For every monster that was special summoned, Silver Eyes gains 400 attack points, shall we count down on many were!?"
"Odd-Eyes!" Gong answered excitedly. "Then, Whip Snake and Camelump!"
"K-9 Shaggy Dogman, and K-9 Wolf Soldier!"
"Right, one more monster which is Silver Eyes Dragon Rider!" Yuya stated. "Which total of 5 monsters which means Silver Eyes gains 2000 extra attack points!"
Silver Eyes Dragon Attack 2600-4600
"4600 attack points!?" William exclaimed in surprise.
"That's right, I shall use them!" Yuya stated as he jumped onto his dragon's back. "Also whenever Silver Eyes goes into an attack, my opponent can't activate any spells during the battle phase!"
William flinched in shock. "No, That's mean I can't-"
"It means you can't use any action spells!" Sylvio answered. "So bring this win home, Yuya!"
"You got it!" Yuya replied. "Silver Eyes attack K-9 Wolf Soldier with Silver Burst breath!" A silver breath attack was blown from the dragon and engulfing the wolf soldier thus destroying it.
William was engulfed by the attack and sent flying away. "I-I-lost, but this was-" Yuto's face flowed through his mind. "Yes, it was fun, wasn't it?" A voice asked which made the other man gasp quietly but he smiled a little. "It sure was."
William: 0
The action field spell vanished as Yuya jumped off his dragon and ran over the other man. "Great duel, that was fun."
William looked up at him and grinned. "Heh, sure was, I'm sure Yuto would've liked it." Yuya agreed as Yuto's spirit hovered behind him. "Well done..."
Sylvio has his arms crossed. "I admit, Yuya hasn't lost his touch."
Gong smirked. "Yeah, I wish Shay and the others were to see this."
Hearing that jogged Yuya's memory. "Oh right, we forgot, I left and I'm sure the others are looking around for Kite!"
William's face went to seriousness. "If that's the case, you guys go on ahead, I'll get the rest of my group!" Yuya nodded and joined the two Standard dimension duelists went their way. "Hang on Shay, we're coming for ya!"
