CH. 1 Goodbye and Hello

The final battle had finally reached its climax and there they stood, sweat and blood ran from their bodies making their clothes stick while rubbing grime and muck in the wounds they sustained. Kagome wiped her eye where blood started to dribble down into it causing her eyesight to blur, a figure moved out of the corner of her eye and she whipped around, strung another arrow and let it soar through the air killing the oni that snuck up behind Inuyasha. Quickly doing a double take on the surroundings and the condition of everyone during the fight, Kagome allowed her eyes to stray to each individual.

Kagome's eyes first laid upon Sango, a deep bloody gash ran across her side. Looking her over further, Sango's skin tone is slightly pale, clearly from all the blood that Sango is losing while her body is absolutely littered in cuts and bruises, Kagome's eyes travel further down and saw that she has a slight limp on her left foot.

The next one Kagome's eyes strayed to is Miroku, he was throwing sutra's at approaching demons before he switched and opened his hand. Unrestrained agony spread across his face before crimson liquid flowed from his eyes and mouth as more and more poisonous hell bugs were sucked within that black hole of a hand.

Shippo was left back with the village in Kaede's hut to keep him as far from the battle as they dared. Kagome looked upon Kirara's battling form in the sky, the sounds of crunching bones along with muscles and limbs being torn and shredded echo through the bloody battle ground as Kirara ripped through hordes of demons.

On the ground the fields are painted with the crimson and black essence that courses through each of us. Kagome's gaze finally landed on her old love Inuyasha, deep long slashes went across his back with some of his flesh barely hanging on, there is a gaping hole right above his hip where one of Naraku's tentacles pierced through.

Kagome though, has claw marks going through her shoulder and a nasty laceration reaching from her hip down to the back of her right knee. Kagome's head was also pounding with black dots dancing around her vision from a head wound she sustained by an oni coming up from behind and striking her to the ground before she was able to sense him and pull an arrow out to string on her bow and shoot. Inuyasha managed to maneuver his blades of blood attack to kill the oni without it also striking her down in the process. Kagome was breathing heavily and it was becoming harder and harder to concentrate from the blood loss and head wound.

The fight with Naraku and his endless horde of monsters lasted day after day night after night and we were beginning to tire to the point of passing out. Finally she had a chance to focus her gaze upon Naraku and search his form for the accursed sacred jewel, Kagome's power and strange connection with the jewel allowed her to pinpoint and see it buried within the flesh of his left shoulder. Notching another arrow she somehow managed to conjure up enough strength to move her arm and pour reiki into the arrow, as it was being released she almost dropped to the ground. A bright purifying pink light burst forth, zooming and cutting through the air, before anyone had a chance to really respond it made contact with the jewel.

A sudden sharp pain cut through her form as an arrow embedded itself into her shoulder, Kagome let out a blood curdling scream, she managed to fight through her tears and pain to take a glance behind herself. There stood the stoic Kikyo with a faint smirk starting to stretch across her face with the bow still positioned in her hand. Kikyo pulled another arrow from her quiver notching and pulled back on the string, Kagome braced herself for death, just before she released the string Sango's hiraikotsu cut through the air breaking her bow and arrow while directly hitting her. Kikyo's clay body cracked as hiraikotsu sliced straight in the middle, her body turning back into the dirt and graveyard soil it was created from. Suddenly bright lights lit up the area as they flew out of the pile of dirt, one of them headed straight towards Kagome and hit her right in the chest making her stumble.

A few seconds passed before warmth engulfed her and the strained pain she carried all this time from a chunk of her soul missing vanished and a feeling of being complete washed over Kagome. With adrenaline pumping and renewed strength, Kagome stood up straight with a glare of determination. She notched another arrow and as she did this her eyes changed and turned the same color as the intense purifying pink her body was encased in, releasing the most powerful arrow she could muster. Pink reiki sliced through the air and dug a crater in the ground, purifying all demons that were caught in its path of conquest. Collapsing to the ground, the last thing Kagome heard before the icy cold embrace of darkness claimed her was the dying screams of Naraku as he was finally vanquished.

~~~o0o~~~
Cold, that is the first thing Kagome felt, then she opened her eyes to see black fog surround her in an endless pit of midnight. Fear gripped her heart, 'where am I? Where has everyone else gone?' Virtually blind Kagome risked the chance to call out, "Inuyasha!" Terror made her heart beat faster, 'I can't call out, my voice is gone! Where are the others? Are they okay? Someone needs to be there to clean and bandage their wounds, to give Miroku the antidote for the poison.'
Rising to stand on her feet Kagome's eyes widen from surprise, 'my pain is gone,' looking down upon herself, 'all my wounds have vanished also.' Suspicion and mistrust began to creep into her mind at the thought, shaking her head to rid her mind of the thoughts she decided to walk a few steps. 'My feet make no noise at all.' A very faint dull and muffled noise reaches my ears from close by, there is still nothing but darkness surrounding her though. Panic joined with Kagome's fear making her run, Silence isn't good, after being around Inuyasha and the others for so long and almost always in battle, silence is one of the things you fear. To suddenly hear a faint noise in the stillness of it all can not be a good sign, so she ran, what else was she supposed to do? Kagome was without her weapons, No bows, daggers, none of that.
The noise suddenly turned to muffled voices making her stop. 'They sound so familiar, but they are too faint for me to recognize.' Blinding pain enveloped her body as the voices grew louder, only one thought was able to be processed through her mind, 'run, run, run I have to run. I have to escape!' Kagome's heart felt like it was going to rip itself out of her chest as fear and panic took hold of her like never before when she looked down and saw her legs vaporizing and mixing with the black fog as she went. Kagome suddenly felt herself being caressed and that one little movement stilled her. The feeling of being held from behind erased all her fear, pain and panic as her eyes began to droop from the heaviness of them and sleep threatened to claim her once more. The faint invisible arms and gentle hand holding and caressing her sent pleasant shivers down Kagome's my spin while soothing her. A faint male whisper ghosted across Kagome's ear as the words "thank you" touched something deep inside her soul as the dark abyss called sleep finally took her.
~~~o0o~~~

Kagome awoke to severe mind joggling pain as what also felt like white hot fire coursed through her blood. Some of her muscles twitched involuntarily and that little movement only caused the pain to increase. The voices she heard hovering over her only made the pounding pressure from her head intensify. Kagome's mouth refused to work and her eyes were too heavy and painful to open them to see who it was that was speaking. Suddenly the sound of shushing echoed around the room and reached Kagome's ears, just as she was about to fall back into darkness the feeling of eyes watching her, scorching a trail of fire across her body, fell over Kagome. It felt as if she was slowly being dissected. Kagome could no longer take their gaze and would have said something if she was able to move her jaw, her throat was so parched and dry, she needed water. Thinking of how the feeling of water would run down and reach the soar dry tissue around her vocal chords and alleviate some of the pain made her stomach protest at how empty it is. Hunger, the thought of cooked sweet food made her begin to salavitate, what little she had, in her mouth. The need for food almost overwhelmed her body's need for water.

Another slight twitch of a muscle brought her mind back to the pain coursing through her, 'if I could only bring enough concentration forward I could heal myself, the need for stitches would not be necessary. No scars will be left behind either.' It bothered Kagome that she couldn't use her reiki right now because of the pain clogging her mind. Kagome's reiki is a piece of her, the last time she was unable to use her reiki it almost cost her life, the feeling of being naked swept over her at that fact. It brought fear to her over not being able to use the one thing she could almost always rely on, before the fear could become too great she felt that familiar carasse on her soul and she remembered the male voice that came with it, peace enveloped her once more.

Kagome tried one more time to open her eyes as the peace was calming her. When her eyes cracked open she fought not to close them again as light momentarily blinded her. At first Kagome's vision was distorted and blurry but her eyes finally regained their concentration and she was able to see once again. Looking up Kagome saw all her companions and friends hovering right above her, relief and worry written all over their faces. Sango started to smile and cry when Kagome looked upon her, Miroku let out a sigh while smiling, "it is good to see you rejoin us lady Kagome." Inuyasha looked as if he had glued himself to her side, worry, relief, and sorrow practically oozing out of him.

Shippo jumped off Kirara and started to nuzzle Kagome's hand, "Mama, you're alright! We thought you had died." Kagome felt big tear drops splatter on her arm while shining bright green eyes peek up at her. Her eyes glanced toward Miroku with wordless questions and he sat up straighter preparing to explain.

"Lady Kagome, fourteen days have passed since the battle and Naraku's destruction occurred. When you struck Naraku with that last arrow, a pillar of bright pink light erupted and surrounded you. After the light disappeared and our eyesight refocused we saw you unconscious, floating in a sphere of holy energy." Miroku closed his eyes while taking a deep breath before continuing, "Inuyasha was able to push you back to Kaede's, but as soon as you were in the hut you were lowered onto the ground. Your barrier didn't go away, none of us could go near you, your reiki zapped any who approached and touched the barrier after we got here."

Kaede walked through the door and picked up where Miroku left off. "Hai child, all here feared the worst. Before ye barrier lowered, Inuyasha and Shippo picked up ye's heartbeat waning. When ye's breathing stopped and heart died, ye's barrier around thyself vanished. An air of peace surrounded and mixed with ye's aura."

A sigh left her lips before she continued, "not but a moment passed when ye heart started beating and gaining strength. Tears of sorrow soon turned to tears of joy from ye's companions that were now able to reach ye. Child, ye body seemed to have healed most of ye's wounds. Ye reiki also dispelled the poison from Kikyo's arrow that struck ye."

Kagome tried to open her cracked lips but a clawed finger pressed up against her mouth. Sitting up, Inuyasha pulled Kagome gently in between his outstretched legs as Sango handed him a glass of water. He helped tilt her head back a little and put the glass to her lips. Kagome drank greedily of the water until it was all gone.

After the water soothed her constricting and sore throat Kagome managed to croak out a few words though her voice was hoarse, "thank you everyone for staying and looking after me."

Inuyasha narrowed his eyes and scowled, "keh, save your voice and get better wench."

Kagome smiled as she struggled but succeeded to raise her arms and slightly wrapped them around Inuyasha's neck. Slightly turning she motioned for Inuyasha to bend down, when he did she took that chance to quickly kiss his cheek as a thank you. Inuyasha glowered but didn't allow her to move from between his legs.

Eyes drooping once more, Kagome grabbed onto Inuyasha's haori and looked upon him with a frightened glance and whispered only for him to hear. "Please… stay. I can't go back to that black pit all alone… I'm afraid, Inuyasha."

As he looked down upon Kagome his eyes marginally softened, understanding shifted through him. He soon scowled and moved so he lay beside her on a futon, careful of her small injuries and soreness, he pulled her up against his chest and draped his arm over her waist. Inuyasha watched her a little longer as her breathing evened out and sleep claimed her, before he too, allowed himself to drift back to that all consuming darkness that held him for fifty years.

-0o0-

Kagome awoke feeling refreshed and new. She has been drifting in and out of unconsciousness for three days now, all of her wounds have now been healed and her body no longer was sore. Kagome felt a little weak but that was to be expected, only eating and drinking between the times you were able to stay awake.

Sitting up from her futon Kagome stretched out her arms, popping the kinks out of her back and neck. She severely wanted to be able to walk out of this hut and go to the hot spring and wash all the blood and filth off. Kagome wasn't able to do it while she was asleep and after that she couldn't stay awake long enough to be able to, she also didn't feel comfortable with someone washing her, especially in the middle of Kaede's hut where anyone could walk in.

The smell of Kaede's stew is what awoke her in the first place. Kagome's stomach was more demanding than the need to bathe was. Blinking her eyes, she looked around and found everyone gathered at the fire pit with Kaede beginning to pass out wooden bowls and spoons to everyone.

Sango was the first to notice she was awake. "Kagome! Are you feeling better? Are you able to eat by yourself?"

Kagome just chuckled at her friend hovering over her like she was a delicate doll. Kagome began to speak after Sango handed her a cup of water, "Sango, calm down. I am fine now, all my injuries are healed and my muscles are no longer sore." Following that statement joy lit up her eyes at the thought that just occurred, "After we eat, would you like to go down to the hot spring with me? I am absolutely filthy and wish to have all this grime and blood washed away. I would suggest going now, but my stomach is making higher demands at present."

Sango gave her a soft look and a little chuckle, "of course Kagome." Just then one of the bowls was set in front of Kagome. Sango just shook her head and smiled at the excitement rolling off of Kagome in waves.

Sitting still, drool was slightly starting to gather and pool at her lips, the aroma of the stew permeating the air and entering her nose. Wasting no time, she quickly snatched her bowl off the floor in front of her and began devouring its contents. A sigh of relief through parted lips as her tongue briefly darted out to lick away the remnants of the stew, Kagome's hand grazed Inuyasha's on her way to set the bowl back on the floor. She had swiftly finished off the food, noticing how everyone stopped eating for a moment, beginning to stare at her with an eyebrow raised. Kagome also took note of the fact that she was the first one to finish the meal, so Waiting until the others were done, Kagome sat with a warm smile while gazing into the eyes of every being there.

Sango abruptly stood and walked over to Kagome and placed a hand on her shoulder to keep her from standing. Sharing a look with everyone there, she stared at Inuyasha as Kagome looked confused when his ears fell against his head. "Is there something wrong Inuyasha, has something happened while my body was rejuvenating."

"No…" he closed his eyes before letting out a false scowl. "Sango here seems impatient, I was going to wait until later but I guess now is as good a time as any." A gasp broke through Kagome as Inuyasha pulled out a defiled whole Shikon no tama from his robes.

Everyone watched as the little round jewel instantly purified to a shining purplish pink as soon as it made contact with Kagome's skin. "Am I right to presume that the time to make the final wish is here? That all of you are ready to fully end this journey?" When she saw them nod their heads, Kagome took a deep breath, "I do not know what will happen after my wish is made, so I want to say my goodbyes now. The well could seal with me stuck here unable to return home or I could be forced back to my original time. The future and what it may bring has been weighing heavily on my mind these past few months, I knew the end was fast approaching and my mind wouldn't let me rest. Continuous thoughts swirled and invaded most of my waking hours on what the wish may be, I think I now have it."

Standing up, Kagome started to walk to each friend. "Miroku, over the two years we have known each other you have become so precious to me. I was weary at first because of your lecherous ways but that didn't last long. You went from being a companion to being a friend and finally I now see you as a brother. Listening during times of stress and sharing wisdom, you even started my priestess training, teaching me when you saw that I had none and couldn't wield my powers unless under extreme emotions. I am forever thankful for everything you have done and am lucky as well as happy that I was able to meet you, laugh and travel with you, and fight by your side. You will always be family and someone I will cherish and never forget. Treat Sango like the gem she is."

Miroku smiled and bowed, "I am honored lady Kagome, in all my years I have never met someone like you. Compassionate, and kind yet fierce and determined. You automatically draw everyone near you, touching many people's lives without even knowing it. I believe I speak for everyone here when I say, we all love and view you as family." After speaking those words all there nodded their heads.

Kagome felt so much joy and happiness in that moment that tears started coursing down her cheeks. "Thank you. Sango, you went from enemy to comrade to friend to sister. Someone I could talk to and bathe with, a loved one whom I could share all my secrets with. All of us have laughed, cried, fought, and sacrificed many things together. You taught me how to fight, to also keep a cool level head in times of distress. I am truly blessed to have met you. My sister is what you will always be, I will never forget you and the times we share."

Sango could barely get words out of her mouth, she threw herself at Kagome, hugging and crying into her shoulder. "I love you too, sister. None of us will ever forget you."

Crying just as much as Sango, Kagome then approached Shippo. "I have loved you since you first joined us. You are my kit, my son and I will always view you as that. Work hard, take care of yourself and become strong and we will see each other again in five hundred years. I will fall down into the well in the year nineteen ninety seven, if I am pulled back today remember this date, August second, nineteen ninety nine. I love you so much Shippo, my little kit."

By this time Shippo had already jumped into her arms and began to cry into her chest, "I will remember mama, I will be there when you get back don't you worry. I love you, forever."

Wiping her tears Kagome then approached one of the hardest people to say goodbye to. "Inuyasha…" She wasn't even able to get more than that out before finding herself in a crushing hug.

"Wench, I will be waiting for you on the other side if you are pulled back. After the death of my mother and then you walking into my life… You have become my sole family, I love you Kagome. I am sorry for the way I treated you during these two years, I should have put Kikyo back to rest. I know that it was painful to have your soul split like that, even though you tried to hide your constant pain from us, I just… I had a chance to see and be with Kikyo again, though I never should have trusted her. Please forgive me for how bad I treated you all these years." Kagome could feel the tears coming out of Inuyasha's eyes and wetting her hair.

"Inuyasha, you are one of the most special important people in this world to me. I forgive you, I don't think I could ever hold a grudge against you. Inuyasha, you were my first love, and over time that had turned into familial love." Kagome then straightened herself out after Inuyasha let go of her and addressed everyone. "I love all of you, every single one of you has become my second home and family. Kaede you have been like my grandmother. This time, place and events that have passed I will never let slip from my mind, all of you are ingrained into my heart and soul in my eyes you all will permanently stay with me."

Kagome dried her tears and gave them all a big smile before looking down at the jewel in her hand. "Shikon no tama, disappear, forever." Once those uttered words left her mouth the jewel glowed so bright you had to shield your eyes, then a crack was heard and all of it just vanished. She felt a tugging at her arms and legs, like she was being bound in chains. Suddenly she found herself being lifted and pulled through the air towards the well by an invisible force. All of her friends chasing after her, branches scraped her face and twigs tangled in her hair.

When Kagome burst from the forest into the well clearing she began to panic slightly. Inuyasha was only a few feet behind her, just when she was thrown over the well Inuyasha reached out to grab ahold of her hand only to miss. Right when the blue lights started to surround Kagome, a massive amount of yokai was felt, unlike any she had ever felt before. Then she was gone, swallowed by time.

_CcC_

The great dog general Touga Inu no taisho floated in an endless void, his soul consumed by darkness. Sitting there he thought about his past and how he died. The first thing that came to mind was the deep rich gold of the morning sun shining through the windows and highlighting the features of his beloved wife's smiling face, making her glow. She was so petite and docile, even covering up her laugh when she thought something amusing. Touga met Izayoi when he was visiting one of the human lords on his lands. Walking around looking at the lord's estate he suddenly saw a beautiful woman out of the corner of his eye, when Touga fully turned his head she was no longer there, so he decided to head in the direction he saw her last in. Touga ended up entering the gardens of the estate and his breath caught when he finally laid eyes upon the dark haired hime sitting by the koi pond with the sun shining down upon her like a halo.

Approaching the lovely maiden while taking a strand of her hair he couldn't resist and began saying how beautiful she looked right at that moment. She had the most adorable blush stain her cheeks, so timid and so frail. Izayoi's father found us at that moment and immediately pushed her towards Touga, thinking he would gain prestige, money, or more land. Soon he took the hime as his mistress, but the longer he spent with her, the more he began to fall in love. Promptly breaking the marriage off with Sesshomaru's mother he began to court Izayoi. Soon they were married and two days later he scented her conception of Inuyasha."

Touga and Izayoi were both so thrilled at the thought, so Touga took her back to his home, the western citadel where she remained. The day of Inuyasha's birth though, Izayoi's family called for her to come and visit them. At that time Touga had to go and defend his lands from Ryukotsusei. Izayoi's father was absolutely furious when he found that he would gain nothing by his daughter's marriage and instead his social standing ended up going down. The reason they called her back was to try and force her to be with the man they were originally going to marry her to, Takemaru, the palace's head guard. Seeing Izayoi pregnant, Takemaru tried to convince her to get rid of the child, when she refused he let his obsession and lust for her drive him to the decision that if he couldn't have her no one would. Preparing for an attack he had his guards line the citadel waiting for the Inu no Taisho to show. Frightened beyond belief Touga immediately charged towards his hime when he heard what was happening. Ignoring his own fatal injuries, Touga managed to break through the enemy line and into the citadel right when Izayoi died by Takemaru stabbing her After the birth. Bringing Izayoi back to life, Touga briefly glanced once more at his wife and child before covering her in the fire rat robe and naming his child. Knowing he was going to die from his injuries he told his wife to run. He burnt to death fighting Takemaru.

When Touga next awoke he was floating in this dark pit. Though unable to speak he was still able to watch the outside world through his blades that contain a piece of his soul and were given to his sons. Even now, remaining safely concealed, was the Tetsusaiga that lay in the belly of his skeleton. Touga was able to watch the world go by through a pearl embedded in Inuyasha's eye to keep his grave safe.

His eldest son Sesshomaru was gifted with Tenseiga, though the sword can not cut it holds the power over life and death. Only one with a compassionate heart that Touga deems worthy may wield such a powerful weapon. Unused the sword remains tucked away in his sash for Sesshomaru holds no value in life, only the strong will survive. His son walks the dangerous path of supreme conquest, wandering the land with no real destination in mind, killing all who disobey and cross him. Touga watched with pained eyes at the course in life his eldest has taken, his actions hold cold contempt and disdain for almost any living creature.

Two hundred years he watched as the world passed in a blur of time, Touga's interest was immediately piqued though by Inuyasha. He saw when the boy learned of the shikon no tama and scowled when his youngest sought after the jewel for the power that it possessed. The strength that it gave is false and only makes you weak in the end by leaning on that power. The urge to somehow strangle the boy arose from within him when his search led him to meeting Kikyo. Touga's hackles instantly stood up and his instincts were warning him not to trust this woman, rage sprang forth and the powers he still possessed through Tetsusaiga came and deflected all the arrows she shot at his son. Touga wanted to laugh at the anger he could clearly see in the woman's eyes at not being able to shoot Inuyasha, so instead she gave off warnings to stop or she will not miss the next time.

The outrage Touga felt at Inuyasha and the wench Kikyo, continued to grow. He wanted so badly to slap some sense into that boy, Kikyo could clearly see that Inuyasha began to develop feelings for her and she started to use that to her advantage. She sat down on a field with him one day and asked him to make a wish and turn human so they could be together, saying a good wish will purify it from existence. Touga could still see the coldness and disgust in her eyes when she looked upon Inuyasha and her intentions became clear, she only wanted to use Inuyasha to try and get rid of the jewel instead of herself because she isn't smart or powerful enough to do so herself.

Touga could promptly tell that the demon before Inuyasha was not Kikyo, she long ago gave up trying to shoot him because they would never make contact with their intended target. This being also deliberately didn't aim for Inuyasha. The feeling of betrayal sank down even into Touga's grave, being foolish Inuyasha then went and tried to steal the jewel. Torture and murderous thoughts began coursing through Touga's mind when Kikyo finally ended up shooting and sealing Inuyasha to a tree. Having no power in death to free Inuyasha, he was then stuck with only having the ability to see with Tenseiga and travel with Sesshomaru.

Fifty years later Inuyasha's sight began to come back and he was finally able to see through the boy's eye again. What Touga saw though would have stopped his breath had he been alive, there sitting on the ground looking stunned was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her radiance, aura, and inner light absolutely shined and even surpassed Izayoi's. The glare Touga gave Inuyasha would have even stopped Sesshomaru if he had been able to see it when Inuyasha stupidly mistook this girl as that cold disgusting wench. The only features that they have in common are a few facial features and not even many of those. This girl had wavy black hair that looked more like a midnight blue, a heart shaped face, lightly tanned skin, big bright blue eyes, and curves that would make some female demonesses jealous of. She was wearing very inappropriate strange clothing, but what really drew his attention and made his attraction for her grow was the spitfire she turned into when his son mistook her for that wench called Kikyo.

When that centipede demon attacked and bit into her side ripping out the accursed jewel Touga's beast awakened for the first time in centuries and started acting like she was already his mate, it went feral with rage and rattled at the cage, the wrath Touga felt was unlike any he felt before in his life when she was injured then possessiveness and the urge to protect sprang forth like nothing he has ever felt before. She screamed in pain as the girl watched the jewel that was taken from her body. Suddenly the demon trapped the girl against Inuyasha and the tree and started to surround them, he heard his son ask the girl to remove the arrow and she did without even knowing it was an enchanted one. She is by far that wenches superior in the strength of a miko, what also confused him was why anyone would leave a girl of such power untrained. When the girl freed him and Inuyasha sliced the demon to pieces easily, for the first time, Touga had thoughts of killing his son when he turned around and tried to kill the girl when she freed him, all for the shikon no tama.

That rage dissipated completely when the village elder priestess stepped up and put a kadoma on Inuyasha, the girl who was now identified as Kagome, used a command that was meant for normal canines and subjugated his son to wear he fell face first into the earth and made a decent crater every time she said 'sit'. Touga had never laughed so hard in his life and wanted her to say 'sit' more often.

When Inuyasha went to try and steal the jewel from her while Kagome was taking a bath, Touga sported a boner from hell when he caught sight of her through Inuyasha's eye. Being dead, your body doesn't necessarily react like it would in life, so how he was even able to have one, Touga had no idea. While he deeply enjoyed the sight of her naked curves and bountiful breasts, he did not like that his son witnessed it also. Touga wanted to attack his son for even daring to look, let alone beginning to become aroused from her sight. Only he was allowed to see her like this.

When Sesshomaru and his annoying little imp attacked Inuyasha and bound Kagome Touga was seething, not only for his eldest disrespecting his wishes but for threatening and binding Kagome. When they reached his resting place and Kagome looked in awe of Touga's sheer size and the power he possesses from myoga's tales, he felt pride and lust and wanted her to continue to look upon him, to appreciate and take in every detail. He isn't planning on staying dead and when he resurrects he plans on claiming what is his.

He knew precisely when Kagome entered his remains. All of his attention was on her; however, he was also aware of both his sons movements. Angered at Sesshomaru, he wouldn't even let him touch Tetsusaiga which meant he was burnt every time he tried. Inuyasha he wouldn't allow him to use the sword because of his idiotic nature and how he treats HIS future mate. When Kagome ran past with concern for his youngest, she lightly gripped Tetsusaiga without truly trying and her meer touch alone sent shivers down Touga's spine and throughout his body, still unknown how but that sensation alone made his length instantly harden, his eyes drooped to being half lidded. Allowing his future bitch and mate to pull Tetsusaiga from the pedestal it laid in, Touga made sure to protect Kagome when Sesshomaru covered her with his poison. She ended up having Inuyasha continue to be her protector so he permitted him to use The blade as long as he protected Kagome with it.

All Touga could see was red when Inuyasha wasn't able to protect Kagome from that demon witch Urasue, Seeing that hag suck Kagome's soul out while it flowed into that evil wench Kikyo had his nails and fangs lengthened. He began to slowly calm down when Kagome called back her soul, it still surprises him how everyone believes, even after all this time, that Kagome is that woman's reincarnation.

Blind jealousy enveloped Touga when the scene before his eyes showed how Kagome began to love Inuyasha. It was clear to him that his boy started to love and care for her more than what he deemed necessary. Every time Inuyasha hurt Kagome and made her cry leaving her defenseless for that piece of clay, he made sure to put him through pain also. Touga sent zaps of energy throughout his body burning him, he also sent nightmares into his dreams at night. This feeling of warmth and being whole filled Touga and chased away the chill that comes with death every time he was able to protect her through Tetsusaiga. He protected her, not Inuyasha, and the times that Kagome was able to hold him had possessiveness, lust, and the overall feeling of taking her and keeping her safe at all times wash over him.

During one of the fights with an incarnation of Naraku's, Inuyasha started to become careless. The filth was able to get it's fangs around the blade and snapped the sword in two. Overwhelming pain and agony shot through him at that instant, through a haze he saw Inuyasha start to transform and his demon blood take over. Without a second thought Touga wrapped himself around Kagome to protect her. After Kagome was able to subdue and turn Inuyasha back they set off towards Totosais to repair the Tetsusaiga. The whole journey there Kagome looked at the sword and shed tears, for a moment he thought their eyes met and the tears, the tears were shed for the pain he felt.

Touga knew everything was going to be okay but he couldn't control the fear that ceased and grabbed ahold of his heart and body when the infant of Narakus captured her. The final fight with Naraku at last approached and it was like watching his worst nightmare play out in front of him. Kagome had serious and fatal wounds, and with the injury to the head if she lost consciousness or fell asleep she may never wake back up. That hellish thought did in fact partially come true, after the final blow she delivered to Naraku she couldn't keep the darkness at bay and it finally encompassed her mind. Fear, dread, panic, and sorrow took root inside of him when he also saw her awake and appear in the void with him which only meant that her body was starting to shut down and die. He saw Kagome look around and could practically taste the despair and anxiety ooze from her in waves. Touga couldn't bear to watch anymore so he easily went behind and enveloped her in his arms, beginning to caress her soul like he has wanted to do since Inuyasha's eyes opened and he saw her.

Touga covered her in his warmth and let his feelings be known as a source of reassurance and safety. He faintly felt a shiver before all her tension fled and she leaned into the embrace of his arms, as her heart gave its final beat he let his lips graze the edge of her ear before he whispered right into it, "thank you." Touga then took all his will power and used his ability over life and death to set her heart in motion once more with a final kiss to the back of her head.

He watched as her body started to disintegrate and disappear from this place with a little smile and a softly spoken sentence to the last piece of her vanishing, "I love you Kagome." He paid attention and was able to see once more from the sword, he watched the woman he claimed as his begin to awake. Touga still felt a little jealousy with Inuyasha as he held her in his arms and fell asleep, even though neither one of them have those types of feelings for the other than a familial love. Three days passed before Kagome awoke and managed to stay awake, after she ate she said her goodbyes and made a wish.

As the well and forces beyond our control dragged her back to her time, Touga felt his body become consumed by scorching heat and his power exploded around him, the pain and strain on his body caused him to close his eyes. Gradually the pain dulled down until it faded into nothing, then he felt his body strike the hard ground and his armor clad shoulder spike scrape against his face. Leisurely he felt his eyes open, the first sight that greeted him was of narrowed golden eyes and silver hair. Touga sat up with a slight groan because of how tight and tense his muscles were before looking everybody straight in the eyes and stopping with his youngest son, "Inuyasha." His deep voice almost seemed like it shook the area around them.

Inuyasha frowned before stuffing his hands in his hoari sleeves, "keh, what do you want old man."

Touga's laughter made Inuyasha flinch some, though he quickly covered it up like nothing happened. "So I take it that you do know who I am?"

Inuyasha huffed and stuck his nose up in the air while looking at him, "Of course I know you, I remember when you briefly appeared during Sounga's sealing. You smell like a combination of lord ice cycle and me along with your appearance, it's not hard to figure out. How did you come back father?"

Hearing the others behind Inuyasha gasp, Touga decided to make this short. "I was already planning on coming back to the living realm but the destruction of the shikon no tama helped speed up the process." looking at the others he decided to skip introductions, "Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Kirara, my name is Touga the Inu no Taisho. I have been with Inuyasha since his birth, so I know all of you." The others looked on in amazement at him.

Miroku decided to speak before Inuyasha butted in, "so you know... everything, about us then and what happened?"

Touga looked at the monk sternly, "everything, be lucky monk that the slayer keeps you in line. If I had been alive during this you would have probably been missing your hand and eyeballs."

Inuyasha took the lead and butted in at that, "hey you've been following me since I was born, fuck that's really disturbing. What the hell are you doing anyways threatening the monk like that? He didn't do shit."

With a stone cold face that rivals Sesshomaru's, Touga looked at Inuyasha. "You are not going to take this well. Though not physically yet I am staking a claim on Kagome to be my mate." Seeing Inuyasha about to go into one of his childish fits he continued, "I protected you from Kikyo fifty two years ago, that is why she wasn't able to shoot you and she just kept giving warnings, shielded your presence from most of those Youkai that hunted you down while growing up. You know a youkai's beast, right Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha kept silent for now and listened, nodding at the old man's question.

Touga took on a calculating look as he continued. "I was able to see the world go by even though I was dead, through my swords. Tetsusaiga and Tenseiga. As you know Tetsusaiga was in my grave, that was in your eye. I was able to see through your eye, and I wanted to strangle you the first time both of us saw her and you mistook her for that wench. The only things that look a little similar are some facial features and not many at that." Touga took a breath before continuing. "Kagome was never Kikyo's reincarnation, not only do they not look similar but their aura is completely different, and Kagome is much, much more powerful than that woman."

He saw his son flinch but continued. "I felt attraction to her the moment I saw her and my beast reacted to her sight and her pain. You know a beast never responds to any female or even tries to break free to mark and protect that female unless that female is their mate or will become their mate. I am the one that sent pain through you when you caused Kagome pain and gave you nightmares. I am the reason Tetsusaiga stopped working when you weren't protecting her, I shielded your camp and your companions when you disappeared in the middle of the night. I am the one that brought Kagome back to life after Naraku's defeat. Her body was dying, she appeared in the place of death with me. Calming her down, I whispered in her ear while shooting power and letting it surge through her very being to restart her heart. Effectively pushing Kagome's spirit back in her body in the living realm."

He spoke a few more words when everyone looked frozen, "I attached another piece of myself to her so I could protect and be with her when you left to go to that clay pot. I refuse to abandon the woman I love. I will be there waiting on the other side of that well when she returns."

That remark made everyone's eyebrows rise almost to their hair. "I will build my wealth back up from nothing and continue to do so. My mate should not have to want for anything, Kagome will have everything she deserves and more. Inuyasha and the rest of you may follow and stay with me as you wish. Thank you for looking after my love." With that said Touga instantly started to walk away to begin preparations for his mate. 'You will not have to want for anything love, all you desire shall be yours.'

The others watched him still too stunned to speak before they left to say goodbye to Kaede and follow Inuyasha's father. Inuyasha gave a sad smile before shaking his head, 'the old man will be good to her and treat her like she's the only thing that matters and exists. He'll worship her.' With that done Inuyasha said goodbyes and went with his father, he now has a chance to know the man his mother loved so dearly.

Kagome was floating in an area that looked like you were in outer space, soothing magenta lights swirled and mixed with the color black with little balls of white that looked like stars. Kagome knew that she was home as soon as her knees touched the dusty earth and skeletal remains of the wells bottom. The space she was floating in soon faded until the only thing left was the feeling of time passing and the comfort it provided.

Laying down, Kagome curled in on herself smudging more dirt that mixed with the dried blood covering her being. Completely filthy, Kagome let tears leak from her eyes as they made their tracks down her cheeks, the feeling of being lost and losing loved ones consumed her mind. She laid there, head in a daze, when the feeling of those arms wrapped around her and the masculine voice faintly whispered a 'thank you' into her ear came to the surface of her thoughts. Remembering the feeling of security and warmth that enveloped her finally snapped Kagome back to her senses, she knew she had lain there for sometime since her whole right side was completely numb.

Using her left arm, she crawled to one of the well's walls and grasped at it, turning it into her crutch to stand. Finally on her own two feet again, she pressed the weight of her back up against the side of the well when the tingling sensation of regaining feeling in your limbs began to shoot through the right half of her body. Kagome took long deep breaths as the sensation dispersed before beginning to move towards the wells latter. Out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of her black bag innocently sitting down beside where she had lain, she finally had to move on to a different bag when the bottom of her yellow one became worn and started to rip at the seams. Carefully she made her way over to it and began to pick it up. Turning she walked before taking her first step on the latter to her new life in her own time. Quickly scaling it she heaved both her bag and herself over the lip of what once was her portal to see her friends and continued adventure, now, no magic could be felt emanating from the old wood.

Feeling drained she made her way to the door with a sigh and slid it open without looking to begin the walk to her house. Kagome had taken two steps out of the building before she bumped into something hard, stumbling backwards the weight of her backpack began to make her fall. Hands, strong and sturdy, made contact with their grip upon Kagome's sides. Very defined and muscular arms that clearly belong to a man, wrapped themselves around her waist and set about pulling her into a chest. The embrace of the man and the arms wrapped snugly around her felt so familiar, almost like the male's presence that comforted her when she was in the darkness.

The pure masculine scent of sandalwood, spices, and pine wafted into Kagome's nose as her face was slightly buried in the male's chest as he held her. His smell was addicting, Kagome couldn't resist the urge to press her face into the masculine chest some more and inhale the soothing aroma. Kagome could have sworn she felt the man shudder a little when she did that, no longer slightly bending down, the male stood up fully and Kagome's head only reached to the bottom of his chest.

Giving one last tiny squeeze he released his hold upon her and slightly back up, now able to see who caught her, Kagome's mouth fractionally dropped when she saw the person in front of her. He looked like a male in his late twenties, the first thing that drew her attention was the long silver hair tied up in a top knot. This man had slightly tan skin, and eyes that looked so similar to her friend's that she said goodbye to but at the same time different, this man's eyes were pure ever changing pools of molten gold. His high cheek bones have a jagged blue stripe that mirrored the other, his eye lids were also painted in that same dark blue. Then Kagome looked to the side slightly when her eyes caught sight of pointed elf-like ears, the same as Sesshomaru's.

Her eyes started to travel downwards and followed the structure of his strong firm jawline to his lips which were thin but a little plump, they were perfect in her opinion. When the man faintly smirked she could see a fang barely poking out from his lips that curved. Movement of his hand coming up to straighten his tie drew her focus there, she could see his razor sharp claws where his blunt human nails should be, while he was wearing a pristine black business suit with a silver shirt underneath.

Kagome could feel her eyes clouding over with images that began to pop up in her mind, This male is clearly related to Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. Realizing where she was and the man in question was still standing before her, she shook her head to get rid of the lustful images that invaded her thoughts. It is better to stop herself now before her body reacts, and save what dignity she had while stopping the embarrassment of him being able to smell her attraction.

Startled, she jumped some when he began to speak, "Kagome, let us make our way inside so you can wash away all the blood and dirt you sustained from mother and father are also very worried and expecting to see you." If a voice alone can arouse a woman then his would be it, the man's voice was so very deep and sensuous. Kagome thought she would melt and become a pile of goo.

Kagome's thoughts came to a screeching halt, 'Wait, I know that voice. He is the one that came and comforted while wrapping his arms around me when I was in the darkness.' she couldn't stop herself, she had to know. "Who are you?"

He chuckled and it was deep and dangerously low, Kagome bit her lip to stop whatever noise wanted to make its way out of her mouth. "All will be explained when we reach your house, I would also advise you to go upstairs and take a shower before your parents see what state you are in. I will be in the dining room when you are done, then you may hear who I am and how I know you. I have already explained things to your mother and father." All Kagome could do was stare at him and nod.

When the two of them walked through the door, it was too late to hide what happened to her from her parents. Standing by the stairs she saw the look of horror and freight from their faces as Mrs. Higurashi gasped and her father went wide eyed. The looks they gave her caused new tears to threaten to build up in her eyes if she didn't go, the hand that gently nudged her was able to get her moving. Kagome quickly ran up the steps and down the hallway where she then threw open her bedroom door. She immediately appeared in front of her dresser and dug out a blue sports bra and underwear, then some denim shorts a few draws down, once she had that she went to her closet and pulled out a black tank top. Since she was done with that, she made a clean break in making it to the bathroom where she locked the door and turned the hot water on.

Kagome waited until the water was nearly scalding before she stripped and stepped into the tub. It seems her mind froze once more as she watched the dirt and blood swirl down into the drain, Thoughts of Sango, Miroku, Kaede and everyone else surfaced making her feel like cracked glass again. The memory of everyone made something firm inside grasp her causing her resolve to strengthen, Kagome mentally bitch slapped herself for how weak she is acting. Her friends were never this weak, she gained ahold of her emotions and firmly made a statement to herself. 'No more shall I be this frail! I will become stronger like in the past, like how my friends are!'

Touga had to fight not only himself but his instincts and beast, five hundred years and he is now able to actually touch her. His beast still howled in anger at the sight and smell of her blood covering her. When she tripped he unconsciously grabbed ahold of her and then brought her close, but when she buried her head in his chest and inhaled his scent he almost lost it. pupils dilating from being able to breath in her scent Touga was now struggling with his need to ravish and show how much he loved her by taking her as his mate then and there up against the wall of the well house. When he finally found the strength to barely step back, his male pride shot through the roof when she started to check him out and gained a look of desire briefly.

Touga knew that they had to move on so he spoke with his voice the tiniest bit husky and led her into the house so she could clean up and change. Instantly turning serious, Touga turned to look upon Kagome's parents and began to speak. "When I first came to you sixteen years ago, and told you about your daughter's fate you did not believe me, but you still did not tell Kagome about me either which is good. It would have disrupted the timeline, but as I have said she will return to you and stay in the end." Him and her parents sat down in chairs in the dining room. "Two weeks Ago I made the both of you an offer, have you considered the deal and all that goes with it." Touga saw both Mr. and Mrs. Higurashi exchange looks at each other.

The father of Kagome, Kosei Higurashi looked Touga in the eyes. "My wife Fuyumi and myself have examined and spoke about the offer and what might be best for our beloved little girl." Mr. Higurashi's eyes turned to steel as he continued, "neither one of us think it would be problematic for Kagome if she were to go and live with you. Already you have stated that our daughter will want for nothing, and we know you to be a very honorable man. However, the final decision rests upon Kagome and what she decides. My wife and I would like to be able to come and visit and stay every now and then and for her to come to us here at least once a month if the final decision is a yes."

Fuyumi Higurashi smiled sweetly but spoke sternly, "I am not sure if she will agree but there is a high probability of that chance. I have no doubt that you would give her everything but my motherly instincts will make this known, Both my husband and I want to ask and make sure that she is happy and taken care of. If anything comes up or you need anything, doesn't matter what, please do not hesitate to ask. Also because of her travels, she doesn't have the best of grades and is lagging behind the rest of her classmates, if she is struggling in anything please help her and walk her through that subject till she understands. We want what's best for our precious daughter."

With a slight bow of his head for respect, Touga went about addressing their concerns. "All of her wants and needs will be met. My door is open to both of you Mr. and Mrs. Higurashi, I will grant whatever she desires to do as long as it will not put her in danger, if anything, myself, personally will be there to help her no matter what it might be."

Kagome's parents' shoulders sagged at his declaration and they both smiled and gave a respectable bow back. Right when that was over Touga heard Kagome's footsteps on the stairs coming towards them. As soon as she rounded the corner, Touga felt his heart stop for a brief moment then felt all his blood rush to a particular part of himself that is inappropriate at this time. Touga's future mate stood there in a soft black tank top that hugged in all the right places and knee length shorts that clung to her smooth gorgeous legs and comfortable looking black sandals.

Kagome stood there at the entryway to the dining room looking between all three of them, but her eyes kept seeming to stray and stay glued to Touga. He had to hold himself back. "Who are you is my first question, I remember you from that dark void in the past, your arms and voice."

Touga blink surprised but beyond elated, he didn't have a corporeal body but she knew his presence and connected it back to him. "In this day and age I go by Touga Taisho, my true identity that you would know is Touga the Inu no Taisho. I am Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father." Touga saw her eyes widen and her mouth actually fall open at this information. Unable to suppress it He and her father began to laugh, They both immediately stopped though at the glare she shot at them.

Touga straightened up and leaned back in his chair and became serious. "Your traveling group in the past, my presence has been there since the very beginning. As you know my grave was inside a pearl that was placed in Inuyasha's right eye, Though dead, my consciousness remained and pieces of my soul were attached to this world." At Kagome's nod and the shocked and bewildered look her parents made he continued. "I was able to view the world through my two swords both sons had, but since the Tetsusaiga was in the pearl I was able to see everything through my youngest's eye. Watching him grow brought me both joy and sadness, while also pain at seeing the path my eldest walked on. I was there when Inuyasha first met Kikyo or wench as I like to say, anyways, no matter the warnings or shocks, nothing I did would make him listen and stay away from her. She tried to kill him at first but with my mere presence, the arrows were deflected by the will power my spirit carried."

Sighing, he continued on. "Kikyo started to give him warnings about how she would not miss the next time as excuses because she could not actually hit him. Inuyasha thought that she just did not want to kill him. He began to develop feelings for her, seeing this the wench decided she would use this to her advantage and have him get rid of the jewel through a wish instead of her. She was far too weak and corrupt for the wish to be pure, she still looked at him with disgust even when she asked him to be human. The wench knew full well that it was not Inuyasha who attacked her. She managed to hit him though, and seal him."

Touga briefly smiled when he continued, "The next thing I'm able to see through Inuyasha is you sitting on the ground, I wanted to slap him senseless when he thought you were her or that you are her reincarnation. You are completely different, in power level, purity, aura, even your soul size is larger, the only thing you have in common is some vague facial features and not a lot at that. Anyways I protected you and your camp when Inuyasha left in the night or he just wasn't able to. I am also the man in the void you briefly met when you died, I restarted your heart, after all Tenseiga got its power from me." Her parents looked absolutely horrified when they found out she died.

Touga closed his eyes before reopening them. "I made up my mind to come back to the living world about a month after Kikyo was resurrected through your soul. The wish you made on the jewel and the power combined with Tetsusaiga brought me back to the living world. My mind made up long ago I would start from scratch and rebuild my fortune and give you the life you deserve."

His eyes sharpened when looking at her then, "The deal I offered to your parents was that when you came back you would come and live with me, your school, clothing, books, uniform, everything and anything you desire will be provided for you. Your family will never have to work or lift a finger for money or anything else again. In the two years of traveling with you, even without you knowing, I have grown to deeply care about you. And so as the richest man and owner of the top thriving business corporation in the world, I also wish to make you my heir."

When he finished Kagome looked like she was starting to hyperventilate and stood stock still from all the information. Touga got up from his seat and took her by the arm so she could sit down, after a couple of minutes she started to breathe okay and looked up at him with a grateful smile. Turning she saw her parents giving loving and improving looks at her, Touga saw her turn and look at him again and the feel of her eyes on him made him deliriously drunk on happiness and pervertness. "A new school with people that do not know me would be nice, a scenery change too. I suppose I accept your offer to live with you, the only thing that needs to be taken care of is packing."

Touga gave a knowing smirk. "I thought that you would agree so I had a moving van already on stand by at the shrine stairs. Managing to convince your parents a little before time, they packed away most of your clothing, supplies, well everything. The movers are demons so they will be quick and everything will be easier to handle for them."

Touga watched as a curious Kagome questioned him, "have you already decided what school I will be attending?"

"The prestigious Ouran Academy, I find that their choice of clothing is… well…. I just believe you would prefer the male clothing. I'm positive enough that you will choose the male uniform to the point I already have a male ID prepared for you." Touga had a proud grin, He knew he was correct when thinking that she would have picked the male garments. The school shouldn't even call that yellow thing a dress.

He wanted to laugh at the expression she gave him when she had a look that said, I highly doubt it could be that bad, instead he waited until the information settled some more. "There is also someone at our house that has been anxiously waiting to speak to you again. It has been five hundred years." He could see her give a curious but surprised look, just waiting for me to tell her who. "Your son Shippo wanted to come and take you away with or without your permission so I made him stay home. He also was of a similar mindset in thinking you would prefer the males to the females. Shippo wanted to surprise and impress you with how much he improved on his magic so he made an illusion ring that will turn you male for when you start to attend school."

Kagome practically yanked his arm in her excitement at the mention of Shippo. Her feelings are understood, it has been five hundred years for Shippo since he last saw his mother and a few hours to Kagome since she last saw her son. Some points of separation are hard to bear, so her rapid fire of questions were not unexpected. "Shippo will live with us?! Oh, how long until we reach the house and then Shippo? He was pretty small, so how much older does he look?"

Kagome looked at him and blushed while shrugging sheepishly, "Sorry about the bombardment of questions. It has been centuries for him, but the idea of leaving and not being able to come back makes the few hours i've been here seem like years. My son is in my timeline and I missed out on so much of him growing up, I wasn't there during that period. The only other friends of mine that would live to this point would be Inuyasha and Kirara, in a way Koga too. Moving on, will you show me the two uniforms for Ouran, I doubt the female's are that bad."

Having to contain himself, Touga turned his back and spoke over his shoulder while walking to the front door. "This is advantageous for me, my car along with the moving van are both at the bottom of the shrine steps. Just allow me to retrieve the uniforms and tell the movers to begin taking boxes down, I can help you pack the rest. Now, the reaction all of you are sure to make, will most likely prove to amuse me, so not even your parents have seen them yet."

Kagome felt like she might faint from both the information and the mere presence that Touga emits. She was looking forward to seeing her son, also seeing how much Inuyasha and Shippo have aged physically. She had always hoped her son would be well off in the future so he wouldn't have to struggle, but she had no idea just how well off he had become. Shocked speechless was how she was when Touga first introduced himself, she had heard of him before but never really took much interest in the financial standing of people, so she never looked up what the man looked like. To find out that he is Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father, WHO WAS ONCE DEAD, made her stagger a little.

Over five hundred years Touga had managed to gain enough influence and money to the point that right now, in the twenty-first century, mankind has labeled him as the current richest man in the world. He currently has a net worth of one hundred and seventeen billion dollars, he is also a multi-billionaire. He currently makes around one billion four hundred million dollars a year. To think that Shippo lives with him, and she guesses has since he came back, is mind boggling.

Kagome watched as he moved towards the door, she could see the firm outline of muscles in his back and arms through the suit. In her excitement when he mentioned her son, she had stood up and tugged at his arm to get answers from him. Kagome still feels a blush on her face from her slip up in acting like a child. She walked over to the stairs and took a seat near the bottom. Leaning her head against the railing, her thoughts wandered back into the past, two years previsily to the beginning of her adventure.

When she first met Inuyasha, her eyes widened and shined at seeing the handsome boy that was pinned to a tree. He had a serene look upon his face while slouching over slightly, as if he were merely asleep. However, once he awoke and she began to travel with him, the feeling of needing to strangle some common sense and manners into his thick skull, was overwhelming. Over time, a puppy love crush developed, but having her heart repeatedly ripped out and stomped upon by his actions awoke her to the realization that she did not love him like that, no he was more of a brother than anything else.

The first time she and Inuyasha went to his father's grave, her eyebrows rose to the point they were covered by her bangs. Looking on in awe, the humongous skeleton of the Inu no Taisho's remains was still covered in his armor. His size alone was intimidating, he rivaled the height of a mountain, that's not including the sharp heavy duty battle gear.

Riding upon a skeletal bird, they finally reached his bones. Inuyasha and her went inside right when Sesshomaru went to grab Tetsusaiga and pull it from its pedestal. Kagome, from the first moment of laying eyes upon it, felt some type of presence hovering around and covering the sword. Running to help Inuyasha, her hand grazed the hilt of the sword on the way there, heat swallowed her body. The Tetsusaiga pulsed in her hand as the feeling of acceptance and the embrace of a lover washed through her spirit, any fear seemed to have been erased and the sword calmed her down.

During the battle with Goshinki, fear seized her for Inuyasha. The boy was struggling so badly and in pain. When he went for another attack and swung the Tetsusaiga at him which he caught between his jaws, pain, grief, sorrow, and anger filled her when the sword was snapped in half. When Inuyasha started to transform and kill Goshinki all Kagome felt was horror, then the feeling of being embraced settled over her once again, that gave her the opportunity to 'sit' Inuyasha and make him come back to his senses. Her group she traveled with started in the direction of Totosai to have Tetsusaiga repaired, She cried while looking at the sword, it was almost like she could feel the pain it was in. Her true protector was the sword but she thought she saw a vague silhouette of a limping body and when it turned she swore she locked eyes with it before the vision disappeared and she cried again for that specter.

When they reached Totosai's cave and he plucked one of Inuyasha's canines out to mend the blade, the specter and the thrum of Tetsusaiga felt a little more alive, younger she guessed. Before in the grave and up to the point it was broken, the sword's presence had felt a little worn, tired, ragged. Now she understands that the aura around the blade and that spirit was Touga, seeing that he has another chance to live makes her heart somehow feel lighter and happy. 'Hmm, what could be so bad about the female uniform that both Shippo and Touga are certain that I will pick the males and go as one.'

Amused, Kagome began imagining different types of dresses; each one more unfavorable than the last when her thought process was interrupted by the opening of the door. The first thing she saw come through the door frame was two black garment bags, following them was a pair of powerful legs that made the silky looking texture of pants stretched against a pure muscled thigh with defined features. The two keisters were separated and the rest of Touga appeared with his arms outstretched.

An unconscious hitch in Kagome's breathing had him sharply turning his head in her direction. Speaking in a slightly deeper and rough voice Touga began to address her. "Kagome, will you please go and stay by your parents side while I prepare the clothing to be brought in. I believe the first experience of witnessing them should be shared together." Nodding Kagome turned and began to head into the dining room with an extra sway of her hips, if she were to turn around she would have seen the faint red glow in his eyes as they were glued to her backside.

She didn't exactly know why but she felt safe around Touga. Kagome didn't expect to feel the attraction she felt upon laying eyes on him though, she couldn't explain it exactly but the intensity of his gaze sweeping over her and his reactions to every little thing she did made her feel sexy... desirable. Touga made her feel like a woman and the deep rooted desire she felt for him, all of him not just sexual attraction, she had never felt for anyone else. Kagome wanted him to yearn for her, and center his whole attention solely on her just as she felt a need and craved his attention and the feeling of safety and protection that came with him. She didn't quite understand what she was feeling but she liked it. From the time he was only a spirit and following us around with the sword she felt immediately drawn to him, at the time she didn't know the sword was him but that attraction and the affection felt made being near feel like she was truly home.

When she reached the dining room she took up the chair that Touga had vacated earlier. Not but a few seconds after sitting down did Touga walk in holding something behind his back. "Presenting the male Ouran High School uniform that my lovely Kagome will be wearing." Softly sucking in air when he complimented her and stated she was his, her focus was brought back when he held up a really nice suit. There was a white batiste silk undershirt with a pristine purple blazer to go over it. The tie that came with the outfit was black with purple stripes going down the middle, the black dress slacks looked soft to the touch while the shoes were a glistening black. Standing up she approached Touga to feel the clothing deciding if her conclusion was indeed correct, she sighed dreamily at the texture of the material. So busy looking at the uniform she missed the gleam and loving look in Touga's eye when that happened.

Touga reached out a hand and patted her on the head to gain her attention, "I will leave the male uniform in here with you Kagome dear, but I must go to retrieve the female garments. I will not be long." With that said Touga lowered his eyelids and began heading back to the entryway to retrieve the other black bag containing the dress.

When Kagome saw him come back into the room all she did was stare at his sensually deep warm honey colored eyes. She shook her head to clear it of the fog when she saw the abhorrent look written on both faces of her parents. She turned back to see a slight quirk of his lips before she allowed her eyes to travel lower, when they reached their destination she blanched at what she saw. There Touga stood, carrying a yellow THING, it had long sleeves with white cuffs on the ends along with poofy shoulders, a white pointed collar with a loosely bowed red tie, the upper half hugged your body snuggly while the bottom took on the shape of a bell. White tights for underneath with black shiny shoes to complete the outfit, making Kagome cringe.

She would have found it slightly humorous how both her father and herself voiced their same opinion simultaneously if it wasn't for the circumstances, "How is that thing supposed to pass as a dress! That thing is an IT!"

Kagome backed away from Touga who was still holding the yellow dress. "I will not be attending school as a yellow puffy cow!" Kagome inched closer to the dress to feel it, "IT is also scratchy feeling." She looked up at Touga who had a mysterious twinkle in his eyes as he stared her down, "Thank you Touga. You not only went ahead and made me a male ID but you took into consideration what I like and what I would not, you also are helping me and my family. Even if you didn't make the male ID I would have refused to wear that to school."

He bent down a little until his face was only mere centimeters away from Kagome's, inhaling deeply before puffing the air out upon her lips. "You are welcome my dearest Kagome. I think it is time that you go and finish packing all your things away while I finish speaking with your parents." Kagome's mouth formed an 'O' as her knees began to shake and grow weak. 'This male is just too much! I will go insane living with him before a month even passes.' Kagome's mind began to drift after that while she headed up the stairs.

Touga began silently chuckling as he watched her go in a daze up the flight of steps. A slight sigh passed through his lips as he turned to walk over by her parents. "Mr. and Mrs. Higurashi, if there happens to be anything at all that you will need please don't hesitate to ask. My home is open and welcome to you." He spoke with them a little bit longer about certain things and how they are to be treated before he bowed and bid them goodbye.

Touga walked out of the dinning room and front door with his mind racing, only when he took in the fresh scent of the shrine grounds that had a lingering trace of Kagome's sweet scent in it did he begin to straighten his thoughts out. He gazed around the place his sweet woman grew up in, his eyes strayed to the Goshinboku who had helped guide her through life. His feet began to move of their own accord in setting him on a path to the sacred tree, he raised his hand to the bark and closed his eyes. "I thank you for everything you have done for her. Guiding her through the journey while protecting her and becoming a pillar of strength. You are an old spirit such as myself, You have gained wisdom but maintained your caring nature throughout your millennium; I pray that you live for many more centuries to come."

Raising his head, Touga had a gentle smile upon his lips when a soft breeze caressed his face once he finished speaking. The wind gently tousled his hair as he began to walk towards the stone steps of the shrine, simply relaxing in the calm air that surrounds the land here. When he reached the bottom of the stairs Touga walked to the other side of his vehicle and slipped into the driver's seat. Eyes slightly closed, Touga reclined back a bit while thoughts on what the future may bring entered his mind, the ideas and images were abruptly shattered by Kagome when she opened the passenger side door to slide into the seat. He stared intently at her legs until the sound of her voice reached his ears. "You sure do flaunt how rich you are by your choice of vehicle. I mean really, a black Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita?"

He just gave her a smug smirk, "a good car comes at a good price." Starting the vehicle, his smirk turned into a heart stopping beautiful smile, it is finally time to welcome her home, to the home he built for her.
