1. Prologue Ren's POV

Just another usual day for Kylo Ren. He had to raid villages and terrorize people. Yes, that was his life now. But he was doing this for the First Order. For peace.

When he'd joined (yes 'willingly' joined, not fled to out of desperation) Snoke and the First Order he had not expected it to be like this.

They had to bring peace, security and justice to galaxy not despair.

But Snoke had convinced him that this was the only way to ensure order in the galaxy. If people were afraid they would submit to the First Order. Through this they would be able to bring harmony to the galaxy and correct all the mistakes that the Republic had made.

It was a failure. They could not keep star systems and planets in line. Slavery, Crime Rings and Drug Cartels still existed on worlds that were a part of the New Republic. They hadn't done a thing.

So, naturally only a true ruler and an Emperor who would rule with an iron fist could ensure peace and stability in the galaxy.

Kylo Ren would finnally be able to reach his true power. He would finish what Vader started.

He would be able to let go of the light, be able to ignore it's call.

Sometimes, during one of the many sleepless nights he would wonder if he could let the light in. Go back home, back to his family.

Oh, but he knew there was no place like home for him in this huge galaxy. The First Order was his home.

His parents had never wanted him back then- when his Force abilities had just surfaced and he was a boy, why in the world would they want him now?

After all that had transpired?

After all he'd done?

They were ashamed of him, always had been.

They abandoned him.

Sent him off to live with his uncle and pursue a life he didn't want.

Now his goal was to locate Luke Skywalker. The map was said to be found on Jakku. That junkyard of all places. And then at last he would have his revenge. He would end Sywalker's life and thus would kill the last Jedi.

The Resistance was also after the map, hoping that they would find Luke and bring him back.

He would not fail this time. He had foreseen it. With that thought he let his mind drift back his other visions, one of a girl...

A/N: I know this chapter is a little different and as will be the next one but, these are important as they show the characters feelings and their bond before the events of The Force Awakens so please bear with me!!
