Chapter 3: War

In orbit, the Turian fleet that was helping the fifth fleet came out of hyperspeed along with the Ebon Hawk and headed toward the capital of Palaven.

"This is Atton, I work for the Federation. We are here to help with some strange attack?" Atton asked on the intercom.

"Permission granted, we will send you the location of where this is all going down at." A Turian officer said on the intercom back.

"Can you tell me who's doing this?" Atton asked.

"The Aogiri Organization." The Officer said.

"I thought we destroyed that Organization on Coruscant?" Atton asked.

"These are the last two remaining Aogiri members, one of them has a clone ability that's causing chaos at a street fighting a few of our officers and a group of unknown individuals that are holding their own." The Officer said.

"We'll give them an extra hand." Atton said.

The Ebon Hawk and Turian fleet zoomed in the sky toward Cipritine.

"I think I see a commotion in that sector." Atton said as he looked at the scanner and then out the window.

The Ebon Hawk flew in low and with its automatic turret aimed at the clones and shot at them.

The clones got close to the others to avoid getting shot.

"Damn, I can't risk getting those civilians killed." Atton said.

"We got reinforcements it seems!" Riruka shouted to the others.

One clone kicked Riruka right into the wall of a building and headed toward her.

"Oh fuck no you did not!" Riruka shouted.

Riruka aimed her gun and charged it for a moment before firing it and vaporizing the top part of the clone.

Another clone was headed her way but Akira shot at it but regular bullets didn't do anything.

The clone turned around facing Akira and suddenly a sticky grenade hit its face and exploded.

Makoto threw the grenade and grabbed another before Kugo ran past her and leaped at Kento with his blade out and swung it down slicing Kento from the head down his body.

The remaining clone nearly was able to strike Kugo but was obliterated by the punches thrown by L'aera.

Kugo knelt down checking on Kento before standing back up.

"He's dead." Kugo said.

They heard another explosion nearby and two Turian starfighters fell from the sky crashing into a nearby building.

"Come on, this way!" Akira shouted.

The group ran through the alleyways until reaching a square opening with a fountain in the middle.

Sion was climbing the fountain to reach the glowing orb that was hovering over it.

"Halt!" Makoto shouted aiming her gun.

Sion looked back and rolled his eyes.

"This is getting ridiculous." Sion said.

Sion jumped down and walked toward them.

Makoto began to shoot at him and Sion held his hand forward to use the force to deflect the bullets away.

L'aera ran at Sion but Sion used the force to hold L'aera in place and shot him up into the sky and right into the path of an incoming starfighter, blowing both of them up.

"Damn it!" Kugo growled.

Riruka shot at Sion but he deflected the bolts with his force power again.

"Simple weapons don't match my power, you're looking at the new leader of Aogiri!" Sion shouted.

"Your friend is dead, the Aogiri Organization is crippled down to just you. It's over." Akira said.

"So it would seem." Sion said clutching his fists.

"What is that thing?" Riruka asked about the orb.

Sion cornered his eyes and looked back to the group.

"This is the key to anything anyone's heart desires for. With it, I will see this Federation wiped from the face of the galaxy!" Sion shouted.

"Not if we have anything to say about it." Yukio said.

Yukio waved his hand at Sion and there was nothing that happened.

"What the hell was that?" Kugo asked.

"That looked cooler in my imagination, I was going to blast him away." Yukio said.

Sion gave a deadpan stare at Yukio.

"You're going to die first." Sion said.

Yukio moved to stand behind Kugo.

Akira eyed the orb and frowned as if something felt off about it.

"Makoto, we need to lock that thing up and send it to the Federation." Akira said.

Sion leaped at them with his arms clutched around him and right as he got down in front of them he spread his arms out sending a force repulse to knock all of them back right into the building behind them.

"Out of my way, children!" Sion shouted.

Sion ran toward Yukio.

Akira got up immediately and punched Sion in the face twice and Sion's knee'd Akira in the gut knocking him down.

Akira noticed everyone else was painfully trying to get up and he saw Sion heading back to them to kill them.

Sion lifted his foot up to stomp on Yukio but Akira jumped on Sion knocking him through a window and into the building.

"Damned brat!" Sion shouted.

Sion grabbed a piece of glass and stabbed it right into Akira's ankle making him shout in pain.

Makoto leaped in and aimed her gun at Sion's head.

Sion without having to look lifted Makoto with the force and slammed her into the ceiling and then slamming her down onto the floor next to him and then grabbed her neck choking her.

"Let her go!" Akira shouted punching Sion in the face.

Sion threw Makoto out the window and grabbed two pieces of glass and stabbed them through Akira's palms making him cry out in pain and then Sion cut off Akira's right index finger and left ring finger before grabbing his neck and throwing him right into a terminal.

Akira shook in pain trying to move.

"This is where you face your destiny! Your Federation is over!" Sion shouted.

The left side of Sion's head exploded from Makoto's gun.

Makoto was laying against the broken window with her gun still aimed at his body and dropped her gun taking a breath as blood ran down her mouth.

Riruka painfully moved and clutched a comlink to call for help and to make a ping to their location.

Atton and over fifty Turian soldiers ran to their location and looked around securing the area.

Six medics rushed in to help everyone.

Makoto weakly grabbed onto one of the medic's hands that was helping her.

"Akira." Makoto said.

"We have him and are transporting him to the nearest medical bay." The Turian medic said.

Makoto let out a sigh of relief and passed out.

As the group was taken to a nearby medical facility, Atton looked at the orb over the fountain and approached it.

"Officer, I need a bag." Atton said.

The officer handed him a bag and a set of pinchers to clutch onto the orb and he placed it in the bag locking it up.

"Finally found this thing." Atton said.

"What about the invasion? We should focus on that." The Turian officer said.

"Agreed, I will see if those two detectives can take this to Coruscant. I think Ken said something about this thing must be destroyed. I think the smelting factory on Coruscant is the safest bet." Atton said.

Atton walked off while carrying the bag and the orb in the bag began to glow and then dimmed back down.

A day later, Akira woke up and saw Makoto sitting in a chair beside him sleeping.

Akira smiled at her and patted her hand to wake her up.

Makoto's eyes opened and when she saw he was awake she gave him a hug and even a kiss on the lips.

"You're okay!" Makoto said cheerfully.

"I'm not going nowhere, I promise." Akira said.

"Hey hey! You're awake!" Kugo said walking up with Riruka and Yukio.

"The Federation gave them pardons." Makoto said.

"I'm glad to hear it." Akira said and nodded to them.

"I guess the Federation want our talents for something big about to come. Told us we are to travel with a guy named Atton to the fifth fleet of the Federation." Riruka said.

"You, talent? Ha." Yukio said.

Riruka decked his head.

Atton walked in.

"Glad to see you're okay, you sure took one nasty beating." Atton said.

Akira looked at his hands and frowned a bit.

"Women love battle wounds, trust me." Kugo said.

Makoto grinned and rubbed Akira's head.

"Thank you detectives for your help on this. The Federation ask if you could take this to Coruscant, to their main building please." Atton said handing over the bag with the orb in it.

"Why us?" Akira asked.

"Truth is, the galaxy is going to be invaded by some strange organic creatures. We need all hands on deck and we was told that they are on their way right now, perhaps already in the galaxy." Atton said.

"We can handle this for you." Makoto said.

"Thank you. The Federation will greatly reward you all for what you have done today. You saved many lives." Atton said.
