Chapter 4: Death
An hour later, Akira, Makoto, and the group walked out of the medical facility and looked at one another.
"Guess this is where we part ways." Kugo said.
"I suppose." Makoto said.
"Kind of don't want to part ways." Yukio said.
"Maybe we can help you guys when we get done delivering this thing?" Akira suggested.
"That'd be great, show you two how it's really done." Kugo said with a smirk at the end.
"Those without abilities like yours can still get the job done." Makoto said.
"Oh ouch, psh." Kugo said rolling his eyes.
They all shook hands and Akira and Makoto headed to a shuttle while Kugo and his group headed off with Atton to the Ebon Hawk.
Akira and Makoto sat down in the small shuttle and Akira looked at the orb.
"Something about this thing feels strange." Akira said.
"Like your holding onto power?" Makoto suggested.
"Guess what Atton said that it is, some sort of power to grant wishes. Though he said he doesn't know much about it other than a friend of his told him that it must be destroyed." Akira said.
The pilot was talking on his comlink and looked over to Makoto.
"I was told you can fly?" The pilot asked.
"Yes, I can." Makoto said.
"Can you head to Coruscant? I'm actually needed to the Turian Fleet. Something about two space stations in our system went silent two hours ago." The pilot said.
"I can take us to Coruscant, be safe okay?" Makoto said.
The pilot ran off with a few other pilots to some starfighters and Makoto operated the shuttle with Akira on the passenger seat.
The small Federation shuttle headed out to space where a few lines of Turian fleets was stationed in a defense cycle orbiting the planet.
"I guess whatever is coming to invade us isn't no pushover." Makoto said.
"Maybe we should hurry and then help these guys?" Akira suggested.
"My thoughts exactly." Makoto said.
The orb began to glow again but this time there was a slight spark that came out of it but they didn't notice it.
"Here we go." Makoto said.
The shuttle launched into hyperspeed.
"So, coffee date after all this?" Makoto asked blushing.
Akira blushed and put his hand on hers making her smile brightly.
She looked at where his left ring finger would of been and she gently patted the knuckle above.
"Least I got the other ring finger- and the middle ones to point at the guy's grave." Akira said.
The two chuckled.
Suddenly their shuttle left hyperspeed pre-maturely and the ship went sideways on it's own and launched into hyperspeed, but it was different, it was a lot faster.
"What the hell!?" Makoto said typing on the console
The shuttle's console was off which surprised her.
"What is this?" Akira asked looking out the window.
Suddenly the shuttle left hyperspeed and was drifting in the dark vacuum of space.
Makoto checked her comlink but everything was off, there was no signal, it was dead silent.
"I can see a galaxy far off in the distance- but that isn't our galaxy." Akira said looking off to the horizon of dark space.
"I don't see any stars either- wait, I think I see stars." Makoto said.
The two narrowed their eyes but suddenly realized, the stars they thought were stars was lights since they all had the same pattern.
The lights stretched from the east to west endlessly.
"I got a bad feeling about this." Akira said.
"Those are, ships...?" Makoto said.
The ships were fifteen thousand meters long with a triangular design to them and they was all in three rows, one above the other and beside one another circling something massive, something that was the length of Jupiter.
"Is this the invasion that guy mentioned?" Akira questioned.
"I don't think so, we aren't in our galaxy judging by that distant galaxy over there. We're somewhere else." Makoto said.
The shuttle began to disintegrate and before they could yell, the orb flashed and they appeared in a dim light hallway.
"What is going on?" Akira said.
The two began to panic.
"Akira, the orb." Makoto said.
The orb teleported out of the bag and was floating away from them.
"We need to catch it." Akira said.
The two chased after it but met a little blonde girl sitting on the floor doing something and looked up at them scared and ran off.
"Wait, we aren't here to hurt you!" Makoto shouted to her.
The girl hid away, her yellow eyes staring at them and her small fangs visible.
Akira noticed her small pointy ears.
"She isn't human, just a near-human." Akira said.
"It's okay, we won't hurt you." Makoto said holding her hand out to her and giving her a smile.
"He will hurt you as he has hurt me." The girl said.
The girl ran off again and disappeared in a dark hallway.
"He? Makoto questioned.
All of the lights suddenly turned off and they was left in the dark.
"I'm scared." Makoto said.
Akira and Makoto held one another looking around in the pitch darkness, they couldn't even see themselves.
They heard faint footsteps coming toward them.
"Oh no." Akira whispered.
The two backed up but suddenly they was put in stasis and they couldn't move their bodies.
"Don't let me go." Makoto said tearing up.
"I'm not, I promise." Akira said.
Akira glared out in the darkness to where the footsteps were coming from.
A deep echoing voice spoke to them.
"Humans, your kind have come so far in this pitiful existence, but you came too far it seems." The voice said.
"Who are you!" Akira shouted.
"If you touch us, we will kill you!" Makoto shouted.
"My life spans eternal. A day, a year, a millennium—it matters not. I hold the patience of stone and the will of stars. Your striving is insignificant. Let your death be the same." The voice said.
"Who are you!" Akira repeated.
"Die in ignorance." The voice said.
The footsteps grew close enough to where they knew he was standing in front of them.
Makoto and Akira began to burn alive and both was screaming holding onto each other till in a manner of five seconds they was ashes.
The orb appeared beside the dark figure and then teleported off somewhere.
"Only one foolish mortal's energy left to obtain." The voice said to himself.
The figure walked off and his footsteps grew quieter and quieter till it was dead silent once again.
Meanwhile, at the fifth fleet, Atton returned with Kugo, Riruka, and Yukio.
"So we meet your Admiral, tell him who we are, and set up?" Kugo asked.
"Yes. Your boss will be Admiral Decorus and your field commander will be Ken. I am to introduce you to everyone." Atton said beckoning them.
"I hope we see Akira and Makoto soon." Riruka said.
"I'm sure we will." Kugo said.
The two looked at Yukio who was on his game and Kugo decked his head.
"Ow! Yeah I hope we see them too!" Yukio said and gave them both a frown.
"Come on, get off that. We got an Admiral to meet." Kugo said.
Yukio sighed and put his game away.
The Three followed Atton to the bridge of the ship.
Meanwhile on the planet Naboo.
Two children was playing around in a flowery field while their parents was nearby talking with one another.
The two children ran to the nearby river and skipped rocks but one of them noticed their reflection in the water, but then another reflection. A reflection of a large moth like creature.
The two children looked up at the sky and saw fifteen gigantic winged alien moths coming down to the planet.
There was screams coming from nearby and the two parents screamed running and holding onto their kids looking up in fear.
The Federation fleet that protected Naboo was crashing down to the planet, shown to have been decimated by this alien force.
The galactic invasion has begun.
