Dancing

Piper

The mood was awful Annabeth and Percy had just told their stories from Tartarus and they were both looking horrible. Annabeth had tears in her eyes, Percy was keeping a straight face and biting his lip but she could tell he was shaken, they looked much better from when they had first arrived. Back then their arms were like twigs and cheeks so sunken in that Hazel had fed them nothing but classic New Orleans food for the whole week and meals would be more or less like this

"Eat"

"Hazel we're fine"

"Eat"

"But-"

"Eat!"

Annabeth was also coming to Piper for advice a lot and the three of them became very close. Piper took a second to look at each of the crew members, Hazel was hugging Frank both looking on the verge of tears, Leo was looking away clearly trying to find a distraction and Jason was looking down as if someone had died. She knew she had to do something so she said "How about you all get some sleep and Leo and I will take first watch," Leo looked like he wanted to protest but Piper silenced him with a look.

While on watch she pulled Leo aside and said "I am gonna need you to set something up for me" she told him the plan "I'll have it done by tomorrow evening chica," when it was Jason's turn to keep watch Piper told him too he passed the message on to Frank and Hazel so that everyone knew except Percy and Annabeth.

The next day in the morning they stopped in a small town and there Piper took Hazel and Annabeth shopping for dresses. Annabeth did not know that she thought Hazel and Piper were shopping for rope and other things that would be useful.

Piper had always noticed Annabeth liked the music in general, in camp she almost always had an MP3 to listen to, even now she was tapping her foot to the music in the store and twirling occasionally.

While Annabeth bought supplies Hazel and Piper slipped into the dress section and got 3 dresses. One gold dress and a gold necklace for Hazel that matched her eyes, a white floral off-the-shoulder for Piper (which Hazel sneakily bought) with an aquamarine ring and a short gray halter lace dress for Annabeth, and a sea-green gemstone bracelet.

They also bought 3 tuxedos with 3 different ties one Gray for Percy, one Light blue for Jason, and a Gold one for Frank. Hazel seemed worried to pay since they were more or less broke but first of all the items were all on a 75% percent off discount and second of all under Piper's pillow that morning was 2000 euros and she knew exactly where they had come from, (Hint it was Aphrodite).

They paid, got Annabeth, and left, when they got back they made sure that Annabeth had not seen the lounge, For it was being prepped by Leo.

Piper was tired because she did not sleep all of last night, so when she got to her cabin she crashed and had one of the worst dreams ever.

She was in a cave and there stood Percy only it was not him it was a flashing image between him and a mix of all the giants they had faced then the image stopped and changed to Jason with the cruelest, look his once handsome face contorted with anger and rage, he lunged at her and she woke up with a start, drenched in sweat.

By that time the sun had started to set and Leo would probably be done.

A knock came on her door and she answered it, it was Hazel, "it's time" she said grinning they were really excited and so was everyone else Piper went over to Jason's cabin and he was sitting there on his bed writing something, Jason looked up and smiled and said "Hey pipes" she let a small sigh but then said to him and said "time to get Percy" he looked pumped and Piper left smiling.

She and Hazel got ready to go get Annabeth. They walked into her cabin to find her Asleep in front of a huge book that looked bigger than Piper's whole forearm. She was gasping and crying muttering "no, no not him too, please!" that really made Piper realize how much Annabeth needed this, they walked to her side and gently woke her up. She woke up with a start and looked around saying "what are you guys doing here?" Hazel grinned and said "To be normal teenagers for once," "and what does that mean?" Annabeth replied with a smirk on her lips.

Trying to get Annabeth into the dress was a nightmare not because it didn't fit that was not the problem, no her problem was the sheer fact that she had no intention of getting into it.

But when it was on she looked magnificent and herself loved it. Getting Hazel into hers posed no such problem, she too was stunning, PIper wanted to cry and say "you're so pretty" all night then Hazel pulled out the dress she bought for Piper and like Annabeth, she had no intention of getting into it, but unlike Annabeth, both the girls were stronger than Piper so it only took half the time.

Then came the hard part: Blindfolding Annabeth to take her to the lounge. So to do this they did the best option they asked "can we blindfold you?" Annabeth kinda confused said "um sure?" and that was it. So maybe not so hard.

When they got there Percy was already there sitting blindfolded, he was tied up which meant one thing: boys were very stupid. Leo took off Percy's blindfold while Hazel took off Annabeth they both immediately blushed, Piper felt like a proud mom.

Percy

After being forcefully blindfolded by Jason and Leo and Frank Percy kinda expected something more, well scary. He found himself in front of Annabeth and she was looking fabulous; she was wearing this beautiful short gray halter lace dress with the most beautiful bracelet.

Then it clicked the decked out lounge, the suits this was supposed to be a prom but the thing was no one was doing anything everyone was all just standing and being kinda awkward, Annabeth was trying not to meet Percy's eyes and it killed him how skittish she was around him it was probably because of a terrifying dream, he had them too.

Leo was looking kinda lonely since everyone had paired off but he was all alone, Annabeth looked like she just got fed up and so was he, they had made it this far battled countless monsters gone to fricking Tartarus there was no way a stupid dream would let him and his closest friends have a little fun

That was when she walked over to Piper and Hazel and told them the plan they nodded and grinned at them she went over to Leo and whispered in his ear he grinned and ran to the DJ section. Annabeth grabbed Piper's and Hazel's hands and ran to the dance floor.

A song started to play The girls danced like a group of Broadway stars. At first, they were just freestyling and not doing anything in particular but still looking amazing then they started to sink-up, and soon they were dancing a choreographed dance routine. Gods she was amazing, all Percy wanted was for her to be as happy as she made him.

The music stopped and they posed, Annabeth ran over, grabbed Percy's hand, and pulled him to the dance floor. Percy had no clue how to dance. Annabeth saw how tense he was and whispered in his ear; "it is just like training," that worked, Percy loved her for that she always knew how to motivate him and make him feel better.

Soon they were dancing like no one's business and he loved every second of it. Then Leo called out from the DJ set-up "Time for a brother-sister dance!" and he started dancing with Piper both laughing and having a really good time. Hazel grabbed Percy's hand and he was shocked Percy never thought Hazel would pick him as her brother, but was happy. She started doing classic dances from her time and Percy tried to follow but he was sure he looked like an idiot.

Percy glanced to his side to see Annabeth having fun with Frank and Jason, Frank was a seal and doing what looked to be the seal version of the worm, and Jason and Annabeth were dancing around him. Percy was mesmerized by Annabeth's dancing ability, she could move beautifully she was twirling around Jason who was doing some breakdancing.

Then the music changed and Leo said "final dancing of the evening so grab your partner and sway to this slow song because I am out!" Annabeth went over to Percy and said "May I have this dance?" "If you want to," Percy said, smirking, she giggled and they slow danced to the song happily in each other's arms.

After the song ended they walked back to their cabins and Annabeth said looking down as if she was embarrassed "hey I was having a terrible nightmare about the pit can you stay with me?" she sounded worried, almost scared? It tore Percy's heart out to see his strong fearless Annabeth this scared and broken. He lifted her chin so she had to look into his eyes and said "I will always be there for you," that they cuddled and talked, eventually falling asleep, together with the way it should be.
