This story took place right after the finale. I know there are a lot of fanfics about this, but I assures you, it will be different. I personally always think that Joey's feelings for Rachel is deeper and Ross was having a hard time by it. Especially when he caught Rachel and Joey kissed that day on season ten. So, how Rachel and Ross getting back together just after a few months after Joey and Rachel broke up might upset Joey more than we can ever imagine. Joey is a kind and loyal friend, so he might concealed his feelings from the world, but it would still left him heartbroken.

I will definitely bring that to this story somewhere along the way, on how Joey's lingering feeling towards Rachel would eventually affect Rachel and Ross relationship in a way and another.

Oh, and let's just say it started around March. Don't get to hang up on the little details like date. Haha. I tried my best to make it sounds real.

And I'm sorry for the grammar errors, English isn't my first language.

Enjoy! And Please Read and Review! I'd appreciate that! Thanks :)

Chapter I

"The One With The Talk"

The morning after the gang said their last goodbye to the iconic purple apartment. Ross woke up and saw a beautiful creature sleeping on his side. He took his time to admire how her eyes were slightly twitched every now and then, how her chest rose as she breath, and how her hair covered part of her face. He could stay like this forever. He still find it hard to believe what is happening for the past few days. Rachel is finally his. This is it. They finally manage to tell each other how they really feel. No more messing around, this time is forever.

He gently brushed her bangs aside,"Hi..", Ross said as Rachel slowly opened her eyes.

"Hi..you..", she replied with the biggest smile on her face.

He landed a kiss on her forehead and said, "Good morning gorgeous."

Rachel smiled back as she said, "Good morning."

"So..What do you want to do today?" He asked

"Well, first I have to call Paris to clear out few things and ship back all my stuff.. And, my mom gonna drop off Emma at 11 and then I free I guess?"

"Okay, what about I make us dinner later after Emma asleep?"

"Okay, sure"

He then kissed her and got up from the bed to take a shower.

Before Ross could step outside the room, Rachel called him, "Ross.."

He then slightly turned his body to face her, "Yeah?"

"Should I move my stuff back to Joey's or..." Rachel trailed off.

"Move it to here." Ross asked quickly and he could see a hint of smile on her face, "Unless you feel it's too fast." Ross said, just to make sure they were both at the same page.

She smiled from ear to ear, "That'd be perfect." She said.

He couldn't help but smiled giddily, "Really? He asked and she nodded while still smiling, "Alright, then I'll make some room for your stuff." He said and he walked toward her to plant a kiss on her lips. "Thank you. You have no idea how happy I am right now." He whispered on her ears which quickly sent chills down to her spine.

"I think I know. Because I do too." She whispered back and kissed him passionately.

They were both staring happily at each other for a few moments before Ross went to the bathroom.

Rachel laid back down on their bed and sighed in happiness. Just last week she wouldn't have thought that she will wake up next to Ross. She knew she would never love another man other than him and that day, a few weeks ago when he accompanied her to Long Island it confirmed everything. She was still in love with him. Now, everything is at the right place. A part of her was feeling ecstatic than ever, but another part of her was petrified of the changes that happened so fast. One day she was ready to leave New York and the next day she left everything for him, for the sake of their family.

Then guilt suddenly crept into her mind. How could she ever think to separate a daughter and her father?

Thankfully it wasn't late for her to avoid probably the greatest mistake she would ever make.

She was musing when the door opened and Ross was smiling at her with a tray of breakfast on his hands. She immediately grinned happily, sat up, and rested her back on the headboard.

She sighed happily. What did she do to deserve him? She thought to herself.

"Ross, honey.. You don't have to do this." She said as he put down the tray in front of her.

He sat down next to her and gave her a kiss.

"No, I have to. After all you sacrifice for us and leave all your dreams behind, this is the least I can do for you." He said wholeheartedly.

"That's where you got it wrong." Rachel said.

"What do you mean?" He asked, puzzled.

"Going to Paris wasn't my dream. Yes, it would change my career, but it wasn't my dream. I realized it that night when I decided to get off the plane." Rachel said with a sweetest smile on her face.

"Really? Then what was your dream?" He asked.

"Us. To have a family is my dream." She sighed and continued, "Listen.. You don't have to feel sorry or guilty for asking me to stay. Because believe me Ross, this is my dream. To be with you and Emma is my dream." She said and he smiled.

"And I'm sorry to even think to separate you from Emma. What was I thinking?" She said with a hint of tears on her eyes.

He then pulled her into a hug and gently stroked her hair.

"Don't be sorry. You were just doing what you think was best for you and Emma. It's only normal and it's okay." He reassured her.

"Okay.. I love you so much, Ross. And I want to be on your side forever." She whispered.

"I love you so much and I'll make sure you'll forever be with me, no matter what. I promise." He said.

...

Later that night, Emma was sleeping, Ross cooked dinner for the two of them, he even set up some candles, romantic music, and even bought Rachel her favorite, white lilies bouquet. Everything seems perfect, like it should be. As they enjoying their dinner and talk about Emma, Rachel suddenly changed it to a particularly topic. A topic that they both know they have to talk about at some point. There's no better way to start this new chapter of their life than talked about the things that have been haunting them for years.

Rachel smiled, held both of his hand, and said,"Ross?"

"Yes?" He answered timidly.

"You know at some point we have to talk about the stuff that has been happening for the past seven years, right?"

Ross suddenly felt anxious, because he knows what she's referring to. It was inevitable. He then took a sip of the wine and answered, "Y-yes."

"But first I need to point this out. I didn't bring this up to blame anyone, I just want to make everything clear before we do anything further with us. I love you Ross, and I want to be with you." She said wholeheartedly.

"I know what you mean and I love you too." He then kissed her.

She took a deep breath and continued, "Okay, first, about the 'we were on a br-"

Ross suddenly shushed her with his finger, interrupted and said, "It was my fault, I admit it. Even though we were on a break, I shouldn't do that to you. I hurt you badly. I couldn't take it back, but I am really sorry for that, I really am. I'm also sorry for blaming it on technicalities and worse, I blame you."

"It is not entirely your fault. I shouldn't told us to take a break in the first place. I should've spare my time for you, for us, on our first anniversary. I should've believe you about Mark, I shouldn't invite him over that night. There are so many things I regretted that night and it took me years to finally see it from your side. I understand how upset you must've been that day." She couldn't hold her tears any longer, she let herself cried that night.

"But still.. If I just go home that day ..." Ross muttered.

Ross paused as he tried to find the next word to say. Rachel put both of her hands on his cheeks, lift his face slightly and looked at him in the eyes.

"Hey, Look at me Ross.. Whatever happened between us that time already happened and we cannot change a thing. I made peace with it and I forgive you for it. So you better stop joking around about 'we were on a break' thing again. Okay?"

He chuckled and answered, "Okay, I promise"

He hesitated to bring up the topic, but since they want to clear things up, he knew he has to ask her this.

"And Rach.. About Joey?" He asked hesitantly.

"Okay Ross.." she took a deep breath and continued, "First of all, I think what I felt about Joey was just a fling. We were roommates, we saw each other every day, and things happened. But when we try to make something out if it it became awkward and wrong. So, we decided to let it go, because we both know we cannot be more than friends. He's like a big brother to me."

"O..okay." He was a little bit relieved at her explanation. All he knew about Rachel and Joey was that the two of them were dating for a week or so then decided to break up. But he only heard the story from Monica. To hear it all from Rachel herself, it made him felt better.

"And about your grandma's ring." Rachel sighed. It was a stupid miss understanding, but she knew how hurt Ross was from that incident. They were that close to get back together after Emma was born but one fake proposal and crazy hormones ruined everything.

She paused for a few seconds and then continued, "I know what I did back then hurt you so badly and I'm really sorry for that. I think that day I'm just way too tired. I haven't sleep for like 40 hours. Do you remember Janice came to our room that day." She asked

"Yeah, it's kinda hard to forget her presence that day." He chuckled a little.

"Well actually before you came in I have this conversation with her. She talked about how things changed her family after her first divorce, especially between her twins and her ex-husband, twins' dad. After her ex-husband got remarried, the twins barely see their dad again, and she said stuff about our situation. And I was scared you will leave us after you found another woman. Joey was there, and I said yes to him out of my fear of being a single mom."

"Rach, you know I wouldn't do that to you and Emma.." Ross said as he wiped tears from her cheeks.

"I know you are different, you wouldn't do that to us. But I was scared and it got into my head. I couldn't stop thinking about it for the entire day. But i knew this for sure, it's not about Joey. I'm not sure if I told you this before, I basically would say yes to a gorilla if he's proposing to me that day. I was just in a really bad shape."

Ross gave her a hug and kissed her hair

"I should've understood you. I mean you have suffered for 21 hours. I should've understood how tired you are that day. I guess I was mad because my plan got ruined. I'm sorry.."

"What plan?" She asked curiously.

"Well that day I was about to start our relationship again. I wasn't going to propose, but I was going to tell you how I feel."

"Oh my God Ross, I'm so sorry. I wish I wasn't that stupid. I should've trusted you."

She looked down. You can tell how guilty she felt.

Ross held up her head, looked her in the eyes, and said, "Look at me.. It's fine. Just like what you did, I also made a peace with it too. What's matter is us now, the future. Let's forget about what happened in the past, we couldn't change it anyway. Let's just make it a bitter life lesson and move on." He smiled and she hugged him tightly. They were stay hugging for minutes that felt like an eternity. Both of them felt a sense of relieved to finally pour their heart and fears to each other and cleared things up. For the first time in seven years, they were able to talk about this delicate stuff without yelling to each other. They've been more mature than ever and it made both of them proud.

"Rach.."

"Yes?"

"Do you regret it?"

"Regret what Ross?"

"Getting off the plane. Giving up your career."

"No. Of course not. It is the best decision I've ever made. I may have a huge career ahead, but I know this for sure. I will never be as happy as I am right now, with you. Our family, Me, You, and Emma. I can't trade that for anything in this world. I think I never felt this happy before. "

He smiled and grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer.

"Well..Not until now.." he smirked
