Glitchy arrived at Fuchsia City, after backtracking to obtain the Old Rod from a Fisherman in Vermilion City and the Super Rode from another Fisherman. She headed to the Safari Zone. There she caught a good number of Pokémon, found a set of Golden false teeth and was given the HM for Surf. She then spent some time training her team in preparation for their battle against the Gym Leader Koga, with the aid of an item called the VS Seeker.
Once her team was ready, Glitchy challenged Koga for her fifth badge. Abba, with the help of Caddi, demolished his team of poison type Pokémon, earning Glitchy her fifth badge and the ability to use Surf.
Just as Glitchy was about to prepare her team for their battle against Sabrina, she heard Team Rocket had taken over Silph Co. Office Building and Sabrina's gym. So she made a detour to the offices to stop whatever they were doing.
Glitchy and her team made their way through the company's office building, defeating all the Rocket Grunts and those siding with Team Rocket on the got jumped on by Springs who was eagerly waiting to challenge her but she proved to once again to be too much for him. She then received a free Lapras who she named Lara. She taught Lara the move Surf. At the top of Silph Co. she came face to face with Giovanni once again and once again Glitchy and her team were able to defeat him. As thanks for defeating Team Rocket and their leader, the President of Silph Co. gave her the Master Ball. She left the Silph Co. Office Building with a brand new Pokémon and the Master Ball.
