Mt. Hakobe
The snow fell lightly on the ground but footsteps could be heard moving on a mountain pass. A group of men all clothed in winter gear were walking along the pass till they entered an ice cave.
"Alright boys gather 'round" motioned a dark green haired man.
All the other men in the cave circled around the aforementioned man, who was standing on a raised piece of ice.
"Those fairies may have thought just because they took out the Barumn Alliance dark guilds would just disappear, but guess they didn't think we'd just move out of sight!" The man laughed arrogantly.
All the men in the room immediately laughed along with their master.
"Little did they know that we would move here to Mt. Hakobe and not only that but we would have a secret weapon." The man said as he reached into his jacket and pulled out a glowing orb.
All the men awed at the orb amazed at its magical glory.
"Here I hold a forgotten piece of magic made by the one and only Zeref. With this little powerhouse we'll bring back the Barumn alliance even better than before and make the magic council wish they'd left us alone!"
All the men began to cheer loudly proud of their amazing and brilliant plan.
"You think that little toy is going to take us down!?"
Everyone in the cave turned around only to see Mira and Laxus standing in the entry of their cave hideout.
"Oh crap it's the Dreyar's!"
"We gotta get out of here!"
"I don't wanna die today!"
All the men began to panic and were just about ready to run for their lives, when their leader spoke up.
"Grow some balls you bunch of cowards, attack!"
As their master gave the order some listened and attacked the two wizards while others ran away as fast as possible. Those that stayed were subject to electrocutions from Laxus and powerful physical and magical attacks from Mira. Together the couple crushed the over confident dark guild, leaving a message to the dark guild that no one even should try to mess with Fairy. This only made the arrogant master more angry and prompted him to attack.
"You may be able to take on my men fairies but let's see how you withstand this!" The master bellowed as he held the glowing orb forward and began to charge it.
Mira in the midst of the battle noticed this and knew what she had to do.
"I'll take care of the weapon!" Mira yelled as she then flew towards the man in her She-Devil form.
"Wait Mira no!" Laxus tried to call out but was otherwise too preoccupied
With terrifying speed Mira came flying at the dark guilds master and clutched onto the glowing orb with her clawed hands.
"Ha so you think you can stop me by grabbing the orb? Well I'm sorry to tell you but you either let go or be obliterated by the magic about to be released!"
"We'll see about that." Mira said with a scowl as she clutched the orb harder till it began to crack.
"What! No stop you could kill us all!" The man said in great distress as the cracks grew wider and more numerous.
However instead Mira crushed the orb harder and harder till bright beams of light began to shine through the cracks.
"No no noooo!" The master cried as the orb shattered and consumed the cave in light.
Everyone that was left was completely blinded by the light as it shot through the cave to the outside. But then once it subsided everyone opened their eyes to see not a person was hard. However they did see Mira holding the dark guilds master, who was basically speechless, by the collar in her clawed hand.
"Anyone else want to test me?" Mira asked in a serious tone.
Simultaneously everyone shook their head, knowing the She-Devil meant business. However Laxus just smirked proudly feeling honored to have a kickass woman like Mira in his life
Outside the Cavern
After all was said and done Mira and Laxus brought the remaining dark guild members outside where the magic council's enforcement group waited. At the lead of the troupe was none other than their friend Mest, the now part time member of fairy tail and the enforcement unit. At the moment his unit was guiding the criminals into carriages to send them off to prison to pay for their crimes.
"We can't thank you enough for helping us capture yet another dark guild. Without your guilds help, I don't know how we would track and capture all these wizards." Mest thanked graciously.
"Our pleasure, not to mention you do pay rather well for these jobs." Mira said in her usual delightful manor.
"It's the least we can do, especially with all your growing families. Speaking of how's your little boy doing, I haven't seen him in a while?"
"He's already a couple months away from turning four and his magic power is starting to show!" Laxus said very proudly, his son being his greatest joy in life.
"Wow so big and strong already! But then again he is your two's son!" Mest laughed.
The three continued to catch up till they all heard a ruckus coming from one of the prisoners. They turned to the director of the noisy ruckus and saw the dark guild leader laughing hysterically and trying to break free.
"Hahaha you fools think you've won! Ha just you wait, you've played right into our trap!" The man bellowed arrogantly as he frantically struggled in his chains.
"Silence wizard, you're the one trapped!" A soldier ordered as he struggled to shove the man towards the carriage.
"Haha so you think, little did you know we were just a diversion for the fairies!"
The man then managed to break free of the guards and bolted off. However thanks to his chains he struggled and the knights managed to set an enchantment that trapped him. Mest, Mira, and Laxus then ran over to him, determined to know what he meant by diversion.
"Alright smart guy, talk! What did you mean by diversion?" Mest asked roughly as he walked inside the enchantment and grabbed the dark wizards collar.
The wizard looked up arrogantly and chuckled maliciously at Mest.
"You may have taken down the Barumn Alliance council scum, but there are still alliances within the remaining dark guilds. We were sent to keep the She-Devil and thunder dragon distracted so our allies could take their little kiddie away."
As the dark wizard spoke those final words Mira and Laxus's hearts stopped and the world around them seemed to spin. But shortly Laxus snapped, bolted into the enchantment, and lifted the arrogant wizard into the air.
"What have you done with my son!" Laxus bellowed in absolute rage.
"My ally has found a good use for him, you'll see for yourself soon enough!" The wizard managed to choke out as he hung.
"Who is your ally!?" Laxus ordered as he brought the wizard down to eye level and looked him in the eyes.
"I'm not a snitch."
Laxus filled with rage raised his free hand and charged it with electricity.
"Tell me now you good for nothing criminal or I'll pump you so full of thunder you could power a city for ten years!" Laxus demanded having level zero patience when it came to his son's well being.
"I'm surprised you haven't guessed by now, you know him personally after all." The arrogant man stalled, still full of pride.
"Spit it out!" Laxus screamed as he brought his fist within inches away of his antagonist's face.
"It was Ivan! Your father!" He at last blurted out with great fear in his voice.
Laxus's face went completely dead and as did his body. In one motion Laxus dropped his fist and the wizards collar, causing him to fall with a great thud, as a nightmare played in his head. His precious baby boy was in the hands of his no good father, the one who treated him like nothing. But how when he knew his father was arrested and why was he back after all these years?
Mira wasn't taking to the news any better as her hands cupped her face that was leaking with tears. Her baby, her sunshine, her beautiful little boy was taken and she wasn't there to stop it. For a good moment the two were in despair unable to feel nothing but shame.
But eventually Laxus snapped out of it knowing that just standing and thinking about what had happened wasn't going to save his little boy. So without speaking a word Laxus left the enchantment and went over to his wife. He crouched down and helped her to her feet all while helping her dry her tears.
"Mira we have to go, if we want to save our son we need to act now." Laxus said as tenderly but straightforward as possible.
Mira nodded her head knowing her husband was right and that tears would do nothing at that moment.
"You're right we have to go back, for all we know maybe Ivan hasn't gotten to Daimon yet." Mira said, trying to be optimistic.
"Maybe, Mest! We have to go, our son…"
"I know, don't worry we'll take care of the rest of the dark guild. Go help your son!" Mest told them understanding what it was like to lose someone.
"Thank you!" Laxus said as he and Mest bro hugged tightly.
Mira did the same wrapping her arms around him in pure gratitude. Then almost immediately Mira transformed, grabbed Laxus's arms, and the two flew off at the fastest speed possible.
1 hour later
Within the hour the two returned to Magnolia, but both were praying their son was still there. They landed about fifty feet from the guild and then ran into the guild hall, but what they found was not hopeful. The couple saw the depressed faces on many of the members' faces.
Several of them were holding or consuming one of the kids, which meant two things. One none of the other parents were there so none of the other children were taken. And two if they weren't in the daycare room that meant something bad happened to...Lisanna.
Once Mira and Laxus had entered the guild their presence was quickly noticed. Almost immediately Cana came running up to them, holding a sleeping Nashi, with a distressed look on her face.
"I take it you two know?" Cana asked as she was lightly rocking the sleeping baby in her arms.
"It turned out our job was just a set up, a calculated plan of a dark guild alliance." Mira said with a melancholy face.
But Laxus responded by angrily slamming a nearby table.
"That bastard! I'll kill him when I…" Laxus began to bellow in absolute rage before he was quickly stopped by Cana.
"Laxus stop you'll wake and scare the kids, they've been through enough today! Besides you both need to see Lisanna, she's in the hospital wing, she was hurt when Daimon was kidnapped." Cana told the couple urgently.
Mira's eyes grew wide and immediately bolted to the hospital wing, desperate to see her sister. Laxus followed behind feeling equally concerned about his sister-in-law. Within seconds they were in the Hospital wing and saw much to their deep sadness, Lisanna battered up, her eyes closed, and looking very weak. By her side was Bixlow holding her hand and Master Makarov standing close by her bed.
"Lisanna!" Mira cried as she ran to her side and took her other hand in hers.
"Master what happened?" Laxus asked, his voice full of worry.
"We heard the sounds of battle outside but by the time we had finally gotten to them, Lisanna was hurt and Daimon was unconscious. We tried to fight to get him back, but Ivan used his illusion magic to get away. We were powerless to stop them, I am so sorry my boy, I should have done better!" Makarov said as tears leaked from his eyes.
Makarov was about to break down from his inability to protect his children and his own great grandson, but Laxus quickly interjected. He hugged his Grandfather as hard as he could, ensuring he didn't blame him whatsoever.
"I know you tried your best gramps, but looks like I'll just have to get him back myself. I'll show that good for nothing bastard just what taking my kid will get him!" Laxus stated as his eyes glowed with energy and fatherly rage.
"Not without me you aren't." Mira said as she wiped away her tears and stood from her kneeling place.
"No, I won't lose you to my father too! You need to stay here and look after Lisanna!" Laxus said protectively.
"That won't be necessary."
Everyone turned to see Porlyusica walk into the room, her usual scowl on.
"Porlyusica, you came!" Makarov said rather surprised.
"Honestly old fool, when was the last time I didn't come to help in an emergency. While I may not be fond of humans, I am loyal to fairy tail nonetheless." Porlyusica said in a salty manner.
"Thank you for coming, but I need to know, will my wife be ok?" Bixlow asked urgently and full of anxiety.
"Well let me see her first before you go asking me!" Porlyusica said in one of her human triggered rages.
"Yes ma'am!" Bixlow said submissively as he backed away.
Porlyusica then went up to Lisanna and did a few tests as everyone else waited with great anticipation.
"She's been quite drained of magic power and bruised but she will recover in due time."
"What about my babies? Are they alright?" Bixlow asked once more.
"They are fine, your wife's magic energy was luckily more than enough to defend them in her womb." Porlyusica said dryly.
Bixlow sighed with relief, happy to hear his wife and children were going to be ok.
"However I will need to attend to her to ensure her magic energy comes back steadily. In the meantime if you want to get the raging lightning dragons brat back from Ivan you'll all have to go."
Laxus about attacked the older woman as she called his son a brat, but Mira held him back. She didn't feel any better about the woman's terminology, but she knew they needed her to help Lisanna recover so she held her tongue.
"You think it will take all of us Porlyusica?" Makarov asked curiously.
"This is Ivan we are talking about, while he is one of the worst sort of human imaginable, you know very well he is incredibly powerful." Porlyusica pointed out as she began to mess around with her medicines.
"I've beaten him and his guild before, I can do it again!" Laxus said angrily.
"While that may be true, last time you had nothing to really lose. This time he has your child to threaten you with, you will need more than just yourself to beat him."
"She's right Laxus, you have to let us help you. Don't forget who birthed Daimon in the first place, I want to make Ivan pay just as much and save our son!" Mira told her husband as she clenched her fists with unvoiced rage.
Laxus looked around the room and saw Laxus and Bixlow nod in agreement with Mira. He knew then he couldn't and wouldn't be allowed to do this alone. Whether he liked it or not he needed their help if he wanted to rescue his son.
"Alright, then let's get on our way. I won't let my son spend more than twenty four hours with that monster!"
"We'll bring him back home together!" Mira said as she took her husband's hand in hers.
Together they looked in each other's eyes, both knowing this was do or die. Neither was about to let their son be subjected to the cruelty of Ivan, so alongside Makarov and Bixlow they left. Together the team was on a mission to save Daimon and bring him back home, no matter the cost.
The Raven Tail Base
For a moment it was dark but as Daimon began to come to, he felt so weak and incredibly cold. Then little by little light began to flood his vision making him cover his eyes. After about a minute Daimon's eyes finally adjusted and the little boy looked around himself.
As he did so he noticed he was in some sort of large clear tube and a bunch of strange men working on something. He also saw that the room around him was rather dark and that the only light was his tube. After taking in his surroundings Daimon, with support of the walls of the tube, managed to get on his feet.
"Whew am I?" Daimon asked himself as he leaned on the wall.
"Why, you are at the Raven Tail base little one."
Daimon turned to the voice that unexpectedly answered his question only to see it was the man who kidnapped him, Ivan.
"Who.. who awe yous?" Daimon asked slightly afraid of who this man was.
"You don't remember, I'm your grandfather." Ivan said with a sly smile.
"No! No yous not! Yous not gwamps! Yous a meanie an huwt auntie Lisanna!" Daimon screamed, throwing a mini tantrum as he pounded on the glass.
"My my aren't we a feisty little tyke. But whether you like it or not, I and the old man are both your grandfather. For you see your "gramps" is my father and your father is my son." Ivan said in a very condescending way.
Daimon immediately stopped his tantrum and his eyes grew wide.
"Yous..yous daddy's daddy." Daimon said shocked at such news, having never heard of his father's father before.
"Yes, I'm not surprised you've never heard of me till now, your family and I have always had a rather "hard" relationship. You see little one many years ago your grandfather banished me from the fairy tail guild. I had learned a rather important secret of fairy tail that I was not supposed to." Ivan said as he snaked around the tube his grandson was in.
"Wa was it?" Daimon asked nervously as he watched his grandfather walk snakily around him.
"Something your little mind wouldn't understand, and it doesn't matter now because thanks to you I'll get my revenge on fairy tail at last!" Ivan said as he stopped in his tracks.
"Me? But how?" Daimon asked, surprised at the older mans words.
"My dear child are you unaware of what's inside you?" Ivan asked as he bent down to look Daimon in the eyes.
Daimon timidly shook his head and backed far away from his so called grandfather.
"Well when your father was a little boy not much older than yourself, I put a lightning dragon lacrima inside him. I did this to harvest it on a future day and little did I know it wouldn't even be what I wanted in my son. For you little one hold both lacrima and bane particles in your blood, together they have mutated and created a never ending flow of magic energy inside you. Unfortunately you're still too young and weak to harness it causing some rather unfortunate side effects. But luckily I know how to use it and I plan to harvest your power like a little battery. And with that power I plan to destroy fairy tail once and for all!" Ivan bellowed with great arrogance and malice.
"No ! I won't wet yous huwt faiwy taiw! Dey's my famiwy an I'll pwotect em!" Daimon cried out bravely, not truly understanding what his grandfather said except that he would hurt his precious guild that was full of his beloved family.
"I'm afraid you don't have much of a choice, little boy, you're my new weapon and I intend to use it. Fire up the extraction machine!" Ivan commanded the men around him.
"Yes Master Ivan sir!" All the men cried out as they immediately started the machine up.
Suddenly the tube around Daimon began to glow and buzz.
"Wa wa is yous doin?" Daimon asked nervously afraid of what was going to happen.
"Let's just say you're not going to feel so good." Ivan said with a cruel and honestly evil smirk.
Daimon looked like he was about to cry from the fear, and then he began to scream in pain. His body glowed and golden lighting shot up and out of him. He fell to his knees and cried as so much power was being taken out of him, and the more that was taken the worse it felt. Daimon continued to scream but was completely ignored as Ivan sadistically sneered at him.
"Magic extraction levels are stable and constant!"
"Magic power transferring to the whole base and magic weaponry!"
"Starnes are under control and running at 80% optimal functionality sir!" The last man told Ivan.
"Perfect, with the combo of the child's power and his hostage value, I will never be stopped! And Fairy Tail will feel my wrath!" Ivan cried out with wicked glee.
Everyone cheered with him happy to know that they would reach ultimate victory. But little did they know that they as a whole, made the worst mistake of their lives.
