Epilogue
Shari zipped through the cool air of Cyberspace, arriving in the nighttime vista of Frogsnorts. Just outside of the academy walls were the homes of several wizards, many of whom like Shari taught at the wizarding school. Bringing her Zoom-Broom in for a landing, Shari dropped onto the stoop outside her front door and let herself inside.
Leaving the cyberpod with Jackie, Shari had returned home as quickly as she could, alternating between the thrill of the new flying broomstick and worrying what disasters waited for her at home. Matt was a good father, Shari would never deny it. But…he wasn't really adept for keeping young wizards in line.
The front hall was upside-down when Shari walked in on the ceiling, and the light fixture at her feet was smashed. Wandering into the next room, Shari found it rightside-up and the red-haired twins sound asleep in amongst stuffed animals that had grown three times their size. Having noted that the children were fine, Shari began to hunt amongst the toys.
"There you are."
Ribbit!
Taking the frog, with the ridiculously long fox tail into the kitchen, Shari waved her wand over it until an indignant Matt appeared in the frog's stead.
"What took you?" he asked.
"Sorry, dear, Jacks and I ended up saving Cyberspace and kept Hacker from taking over the world."
Matt's face softened. "No kidding? What a day you've had. Well, spill! I want to hear everything."
Shari began her narrative as she fixed herself a cup of hot chocolate. Meanwhile, Matt moved about the kitchen, gathering ingredients. It wasn't uncommon for him to bake something in the evening, especially after a particularly grueling day of being the brunt of the twins' magic.
"What are you making?" Shari asked as she went to sit down at the table.
"Cookies."
Shari stopped midway into her chair. "How about a cake?"
"Um…okay." Matt looked over the ingredients, then over at his wife. "Well?"
Shari smiled as she lapsed back into her story. "We had just dropped off Inez and were heading to Control Central when…"
