Ok, before we start with the chapter, i'm just going to go out of my way and say I am extremely sorry that this took so long to get out. Between life, and several other things, I either didn't have the time, or didn't have the motivation to get this cranked out until now. And of course the fighting was, without a doubt, the hardest part of this chapter for me. As such, here we are, almost three quarters of a year later, or something like that. I honestly don't remember when the last time I posted a chapter, which goes to show you, either how bad my memory is, or how hectic everything has been for me.
I'm not going to go on a tangent for a whole page or anything, so I'll leave it here.

Blake had several things going through her head when she left with Chrom, Lissa, and Frederick. She wasn't surprised to find that the knight was coming, considering the fact that wherever the prince went, his aid followed suit. It didn't matter that Chrom insisted that Frederick not be called an aid. The man had taken to being called as such more then once, with pride instead of anger like some would have expected. If she was honest, it was a little on the weird side for the young Faunus to see someone so happy to be in what was basically servitude, but she wasn't about to judge the man who had finally warmed up to her.
Still, even as she dug her blade into yet another invisible enemy, she couldn't stop her thoughts from going right back to Ruby, and the fact that, while her team leader was finally starting to get back on track, Blake wasn't completely sure where the silver eyed woman stood with everything. Ruby had been disconnected from her team for what had felt like years to the faunus, though in actuality it was only five months at most.
5 months since they had joined this world, and had taken to having to kill others to survive. It had been a grueling process for those like Yang, and Weiss. Blake, having at least desensitized herself to killing enough by being around Adam, wasn't hesitant to do so, even if she left like a monster every time. But as always, it had been Ruby that the three women had been the most worried about. That had proven to be a good call due to how little the reaper had interacted with everyone.
Getting her mind off of it for the time being, Blake's gaze narrowed as yet another one of the invisible 'Warthog' rushed at her with something that was decidedly not a tusk. A quick slash over the creature's body left it sprawling on the ground, before it seemingly vanished in a sort of pink flame. She still wasn't completely sure what to think of the woman who was leading the group that was after these 'Warthogs' but now wasn't the time to have such thoughts anyway.
Jumping to the side right as an arrow whistled into the spot she had just been, Blake eyes scanned before what had shot at her, before she took of in a mad dash, faster than most would have been able to follow, and with a single stroke of her sword, decapitated yet another of the creatures.
"Well done, you're quite impressive." A voice spoke up, Blake giving an even stare towards the butler that was with the other group "Not many are so light on their feet."
A part of her wanted to just ignore the man and go back to the fighting, but a more rebellious part of her won out instead, causing her to speak up "You wouldn't be able to stop me if I wanted to kill you."
She said it in a tone that she knew would likely anger the battle butler (something she amusingly dubbed him in her head), something that was spot on as he scowled towards her "I wouldn't be so sure about that. I can tell that I have more experience fighting than you."
"Keep thinking that." She dismissively said in response, even as she moved once again, killing yet another of the monsters that was trying to sneak up on the battle butler "Pay more attention to the battlefield."
She could almost feel the angered gaze upon her back as she went into the fray once again, her sword at her side almost like an extension of herself. It was only thanks to Frederick that she was even as strong as she was now with something other than gambol shroud. The killing edge she had was slightly on the expensive side for a weapon, but it was closer to what she was used to, and as such Chrom had shelled out the gold for the weapon.
She intended to pay him back somehow, someday, no matter how much he insisted that she didn't need to.
To be completely honest, she wasn't sure how long it took for the fighting to completely stop, but when it had, the woman leading the other group was standing next to Chrom, her expression filled with a sort of relief. She hadn't heard the woman speak until them, but to be honest, her voice sounded a bit rough, but not unpleasant "Alright, I think that's the last of them."
"I ran a check through the woods again to make sure." Blake spoke up, catching Frederick's eye, something that knight simply nodded his appreciation for, before Blake's attention shifted to Chrom "All in all, Bandits were more trouble than those were."
An amused tone left Chrom as he spoke up "Glad to see that Frederick's training has helped you Blake, Nevertheless, I owe you Corrin, you and your allies have my gratitude."
A slight blush appeared on the woman's face as she quickly waved a hand "We were the ones who got you involved in this mess, think nothing of it. Really, I'm more sorry that we put you and the people here in harm's way. I promise you, this will not happen again."
"Those… beasts… attack without warning." Jakob spoke up with a hint of warning in his voice, directed towards Corrin "We cannot promise that you will not see them again."
"Regardless of that, I trust you to try your best." Chrom spoke up, a smile on his face, even as she continued "You and your lot seem resourceful after all."
The hint of amusement in Chrom's voice caused a similar smile to appear on both Frederick, and Lissa's faces, their thoughts likely lining up with the prince's. Blake was likely thinking the same thing, after all, this Corrin's group sounded awfully similar to the Shepherds.
"Milady, we should start heading home." Jakob spoke up once again, causing Corrin's eyes to widen slightly, before giving a firm nod.
Holding out her hand, almost right away Chrom grabbed it and shook it, even while she spoke "It was a pleasure meeting you Chrom. Perhaps someday we will meet again. I would welcome it to be honest."
The prince in turn gave a hearty laugh, and a nod as well, his smile seeming to grow "I have a feeling we will. Until then, you all stay as safe as you can be."
The group gave a quick bow at that, before they took off, something that Blake honestly wasn't sure how to feel about. Seeing Frederick's questioning look, she voiced her thoughts "On the one had, it was nice meeting Corrin, but on the other hand I wasn't a big fan of Jakob."
"Regardless of that, I could see the two of you at least could work together. I did see that you covered him, while he was fighting a few times." Frederick spoke up, even as Lissa and Chrom, after making a motion that they were going to continue, started to walk with them following.
Giving a nod towards that, Blake still followed it up with her normal deadpan tone "That doesn't mean I like him. He's sort of like Vaike to me. He's a good fighter, someone I would trust on the battlefield, but I don't like him as a person."
Vaike was honestly way too arrogant for Blake's taste. It left her with some bad memories of the White Fang, something she tried to her best to ignore. Frederick gave a simple nod towards that, not questioning her statement any further. Thus the silence continued as they walked. Frederick was quick to position himself in front of Chrom and Lissa after her quick talk with him, while the two royals rolled their eyes in a good natured sort of way at Fredericks over protectiveness.
Scanning the area around them once they were a slight distance away from where they had been fighting, Blake's eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of a prone figure in the grass ahead of them. With getting a bit closer, her eyes widened instead at the sight of the figure, a man if she were to guess, passed out in the grass ahead.
"Chrom! There's someone passed out ahead of us!" Blake's voice sounded out, even as she started to move a bit ahead on her own.
The faunus took note of the sound of Chrom's voice behind her, warning her to be careful, but she ignored that as she slide to the man's side, quickly checking him over for any injuries, Turning towards Lissa and Chrom, the black haired woman's voice carried a hint of confusion "He's not injured in any way that's obvious, but that's all I can tell, Chrom."
"We have to do something." Lissa spoke up, her hands tightening her grip on her healing staff, the tension in her shoulders showing she wished it was something she could do.
Crossing his arms, Chrom looked towards the man as well, worry shining in his eyes "Well, what do you propose we do?"
"W-we could try to carry him on the horse or something…?" Blake trailed off, before noticing that the man was starting to stir slightly "He's waking up."
Bending down slightly to make sure the man could see him, as well as Blake and his sister, Chrom gave a soft smile "I see you're awake now. There are better places to take a nap then on the ground you know."
"Here, let me help you up." Blake spoke up, though she didn't know why. She did reach out with her hand, seeing a wink from Chrom, though not that was received with a roll of her eyes in response, afterall, Chrom was the one who liked it more then anyone when the Shepherds were friendly to strangers.
The man was slightly taller than Blake, all things considered, his hair a startling white color, and his eyes being brown, confusing her slightly, only because she hadn't seen anyone but old people with white hair while in this world. Still, she didn't comment on it. It was more the cloak that he had on that caught her attention. It was a dark purple color, with lighter purple marking as well, and brass buttons to keep it closed if need be. In all it looked warm, along with the wool Tunic, and the tick pants he was wearing. Her eyes narrowed a bit at the yellow Tome he had strapped to his side, but she didn't say anything since Fredrick had probably already spotted it even if Chrom hadn't.
"You alright?" Chrom asked, his eyes trailing over the man in front of him, likely looking for any injuries now that he was standing up.
The man held out his arms slightly, likely to keep his balance, even as he nodded "Y-yes. Thank you, Chrom, er, that is your name right? I think that's what she said?"
"That's right." Chrom said, a pleased twinge to his smile appearing on his face, the type Blake had typically seen on his face when he was treated like anyone else "What about your name stranger?"
A hint surprise appeared on the man's face, his mouth opening to say something, only to stop and have his expression turn into one of confusion, and then swiftly to panic "I-I can't remember."
Blake wanted to roll her eyes, and call out the man for lying, as Amnesia wasn't exactly a common thing, but the fear and panic in the man's eyes weren't something that could be easily faked. Sure, it wasn't completely impossible, but some things were harder to fake than others. Then again, she could just as easily be wrong considering her less than stellar history on trusting people. The Shepherds, and her team both, were an exception if she were being honest.
"Hey, I've heard of this before! It's called Amnesia!" Lissa spoke up, gaining the eyes of those around her.
The huff from Frederick in response was expected, even as he spoke the words they all knew were coming "It's called a load of Pegasus dung. You expect us to believe that you were just passed out in a field with no idea of your name?"
"And if it is true?" Chrom spoke up a second later before the stranger could, his eyes set on his aid "We can't just leave him here to fend for himself."
"If it means anything to you Frederick, I can keep an eye on him." That was something that Blake, at the very least, felt she could do without a problem.
Frederick's frown grew at the statement, but he just let out a sort of sigh, before nodding. Chrom, seeing the exchange in turn, gave a pleased smile before speaking up once more "That settles it then. We'll take him back to town with us, and sort out things from there."
"Wait, don't I have a say in this?" The man asked, his eyes widened in both confusion, and worry.
Chrom put a hand on the man's shoulder, a smile appearing on his face "Peace friend. I promise you we mean you no harm, and we'll hear all you have to say once we get back to town."
"I- Alright." He said a moment later, a sigh leaving him, before his eyes trailed towards Blake or more specifically, her ears "Um, if it's not rude of me to ask, are those real?"
Blake's eyes narrowed slightly, even as they started to move as a group, Chrom sending the rouge a sly look "Yes they are. Is that a problem?"
The blunt tone caught the man off guard, and his cheeks started to pink slightly, even as he held up his hands "No, of course not! I just, I don't think i've ever seen someone who had cat ears upon their head before. Well, not that it means much considering."
Staring at him for a few more seconds to make sure that he was being genuine, a huff left Blake as she looked at the man "It's alright. I'm not exactly a common sight for anyone that knows me either. It's alright to be curious I guess."
"I see?" he asked with a confused sort of tone, before he looked away, and spotted something in the trees "Oh! I think that's a robin in the trees over there."
Blake followed his gaze to see several of the birds in the tree in question but thing she noticed more than anything was the single bird bird in the flock was an unnatural white color in comparison to the greys and yellows of the other birds. A bit of amusement went through her at the fact that the single bird was sort of like the man they found on the ground surrounded by the rest of them.
"I suppose you're like that bird. If you can't remember your name, I suppose we could just call you Robin." Blake said after a moment, something that caused the man to startle slightly.
It was a few minutes of silence after that, something that led Blake to wonder if maybe she had said something to offend him. This was proven false when he broke the silence a moment later "I think I like that name."
Nothing else was said after that, but it wasn't hard to assume that everyone had heard Robin.
Awakening of a rose.
There were more thoughts going through Robin's head at the moment then he could ever remember, not that it was saying much considering his amnesia. That still didn't stop his mind from racing from one thought to the next as quickly as they were. Waking up without your memories wasn't exactly something one could be calm about, but now his thoughts were on whether they were even worth trying to recover.
On the one hand, he might have a family still that he didn't know about. Ones that were likely wondering where he was, or if he was even still alive, those sort of things. But on the other hand, what if he, and by proxy whatever family he had, were a bunch of dastards that left him with thoughts of maybe he should just forget his whatever, or even whoever, he was before. It was partially that thought that led to him taking the name Robin in the first place.
Then there were the people around him, and his thoughts to them for that matter. Chrom was someone that definitely confused him more than a little. The man held himself like he was a knight or something along those lines, but the clothes he wore were really well made. Even without memories, it was something he could instinctually feel, like the quality clothes, and the way he walked didn't seem to fight together.
Lissa on the other hand, seemed to be a genuine ball of sunshine no matter where she was. It didn't take Robin very long to notice that the girl did not like to be treated like a child. Other then that, however, there wasn't a lot for him to go off of with the girl, as she had quality apparel just like her brother did, but the staff she held showed she was a healer at the very least.
Frederick, on the other hand, was a walking fortress for all that Robin could tell. The man was ever vigilant, always taking note whenever Robin's eyes landed on him, as well as his surroundings as well. It would be incredibly difficult to ever slip anything past the knight, not that he was really thinking of doing anything like that. Still, it was a comfort to know that they were not likely to get snuck up on, though the added comfort he had came from the fact that he had a sword on him, as well as a book. Even if he didn't remember anything, his body would instinctively know what to do until he could get the hang of it again. Well, assuming he had trained enough to.
Blake, the last person of the group, was even more of a puzzle to him, and one that he seemed to be attracted towards to try and solve. The cat ears upon her head were only a small portion of the puzzle in question. She held herself unlike anything he knew of. Her feet barely made a sound upon the ground, and she seemed to almost slink across the dirt road. Her eyes were a bright amber color that seemed to scan everything almost as effectively as Frederick's own vigilance. More than once already he had to avert his eyes before she took notice of him staring.
Before he could really stop himself, he felt his mouth open, and asked a question "If I can ask, what exactly are you Miss Blake?"
The sound startled the woman, causing her attention to shift towards him, his face starting to heat up in embarrassment as he saw the questioning glance "You don't have to call me miss, but why do you want to know?"
"Well, to be honest, I want to know more about you, and anyone like you if I meet them." Was the first thing out of his mouth, which wasn't exactly a lie.
He just didn't add the part where he was trying to learn about her, not unlike a puzzle.
Blake opened her mouth to say something in response, only to stop as her nose twitched like she was smelling something. Her amber eyes widened with shock, before she grabbed Chrom's shoulder "Chrom, I smell something burning ahead of us, and I'm fairly certain it's the town!"
Robin tested his own sense of smell to see if she was right, only to not smell anything, but those words drew a curse from Chrom, who said "Damn it! I knew there were Brigands around, but to think they would be brazen enough to attack a town…"
"I'm going to go ahead so that I can see their number." Blake spoke with a serious tone, before as if by magic, she disappeared a second later. The only evidence of how fast she was going was the black blur that was heading towards the town.
Robin couldn't help the startled noise that left him at the speed, causing Frederick to look towards him "Milord, what about Robin?"
"Unless he's on fire as well, it can wait!" Chrom started with a serious tone, even as he started forward.
The suddenness of the whole situation just made everything more confusing for Robin, but before he could really think about it, he started chasing after them. Sure enough, like Blake had said, the town in front of them was on fire, large columns of smoke billowed into the air, and there were screams coming from the town as well. He didn't really think much of it as he rushed into the fray, a simple sword being pulled out of a dully colored sheath. The blade traveled through the air a moment later, stabbing into a random Brigand that had tried to attack Lissa from behind.
"Robin! You followed us! Why?" Chrom's surprise was overshadowed by the man he put to the sword a moment later, but it hardly seemed to stop him from his question.
Swallowing thickly, the white haired man spoke quickly "I'm not completely certain myself, but i do know that I couldn't stand back and not help. I'm armed, and I know my way around a fight it seems, so if you'll have me, I would help."
A hint of what seemed to be relief appeared in the man's eyes even as he nodded "Of course, strength in numbers and all that, but stay close. Until Blake returns we don't know how many there are."
"I have good timing then I suppose." Came said woman's voice, startling Robin, his hand hovering over the yellow tome he had attached to a loop inside his cloak, but she didn't notice him as she spoke "There seems to be a total of 10 men left other than the ones you've taken care of here. Two of them were mages, and took shots at me as I ran, while 5 of them had swords, and the last 3 had axes from what I noticed. All of them are in the center square near the church."
Robin's brain ran overtime as he heard this information, and he couldn't stop himself from asking a question outloud a second later "Do you know if there are any back allies, or side paths towards the square?"
His voice seemed to surprise the group, even as Blake seemed to out of instinct speak back as well "There were a few side paths that lead towards the square, but none that would be able to have more than a single person go through, and that would be no one if someone in armor went through."
"We could have you go through the side allies, and sneak up on some of the men, taking them out quickly, before hiding once again, while Frederick and Chrom take the front to distract them." Robin started to speak, his mind racing, before he stopped for a second, his cheeks heating up as he spoke up again "I-i'm sorry. The thoughts just came rushing out before I could say anything."
Chrom, instead of being mad, just gave him a smile of a sort before saying "No, that's a solid plan actually. We'll go along with it if you don't mind."
"Er, I'm happy to be of help then." Robin said, the slight awkwardness to his form shown even as he prepared to speak again "A-anyway, that would leave me and Lissa behind the two of you, with me using Magic to attack, and Lissa to be a fallback point in case someone needs to be healed. This also has me protecting Lissa if she gets attacked, assuming that's fine with you Frederick."
The knight gave a stern look towards the white haired man, before speaking "I do not trust you at the moment, that is true, but so long as this plan of yours works, I have no complaints."
Seeing as that was the best he was going to get at the moment, Robin looked towards Blake, who in turn was giving him an unreadable look. The staring lasted for what felt like hours, before the black haired woman nodded "Alright. I'll attack when I see an opening."
"Don't risk yourself if you don't see one Blake." Was Chrom's immediate response, something that simply caused the woman's expression to turn into a slight scowl, one that Robin noticed, but the other man didn't seem to.
Blake disappeared a second later, and Robin took note of the scowl in question for later, before he noticed that Frederick and Chrom were starting to move already. Following after them, Robin's eyes narrowed in anger at the sight of all the destruction around them, even as they slowly continued forward. It wasn't until they were almost to the square that Robin felt the hair on his neck almost stand up on end. Turning his head to the right, the White haired man saw a man with what looked like Robes on holding a red book, fire already heading towards them.
Reacting before he could really think, Robin stepped into the line of fire, Lissa being behind him, causing the fireball to wash over him. He grit his teeth slightly at the feeling of the fire causing his skin to blister slightly, but he ignored that, power rushing to his fingertips in an instant. The next thing he knew, a bolt of lightning rushed from his fingertips, a single yell of 'Thunder' leaving him, as the bolt traveled to the attacker in an instant.
There was the distinct smell of charred flesh a moment later as the mage was fried by the electricity. The idle thought of the enemies robes being inscribed with runes that were supposed to suppress magic with the users own mana came to mind, but it seemed that it mattered little when the amount of magic was enough to kill.
"Robin! Are you ok?" Lissa spoke up a moment after his thoughts came to a halt.
Managing to slow his thoughts down for the time being, Robin took note of Frederick and Chrom taking care of a few men with swords and Axes, even as Lissa was already healing him. Taking a staggered breath, Robin nodded "Yes. It was slight blistering from the heat, but it seems whoever I was before, I had runes put into my clothes to keep me somewhat safe from magic."
"You must have a lot of mana to not have been injured too badly then." Lissa spoke up with a furrowed brow, though she did look more relieved then anything at the moment.
Giving a nod, Robin spoke up once more "We have time to dwell on that later, right now we have a battle to fight."
A sound of affirmative came from lissa, and there even seemed to be a sort of gratefulness about not being treated like a kid from her, but he pushed that to the wayside for the moment. Focusing forward, lightning came to life upon his fingertips once again, a bolt of magic flying from him, and hitting a swordsman that was trying to go around Fredrick. The knight gave a slight nod, before the spear he held dug deep into the Myrmidon's chest, A quick swipe to the side after the blade left his opponent, and the knight was off to someone else.
Chrom on the other hand, seemed to be bashing his opponents with his sword more than slicing them. Robin almost had the thought that it was confusing why Chrom held a sword instead of an axe with the force behind his swings, but it was the sword going through his opponent's weapon, an Axe's haft to be specific, and cutting into his enemy that halted that thought. Whatever that weapon that Chrom held was made out of, it certainly didn't seem worse for wear after said swing.
"Eyes up front Robin." Blake's voice suddenly sounded after a moment, startling the young man, as lightning flashed in his hand again for a brief moment. A second after said magic disappeared Robin could see the amusement on the woman's face, even as she spoke up again "There wasn't much I could do with sneaking up on them. I poked my head out, and a fireball was launched in response."
Robin couldn't stop the disappointment he felt at his plan not working, but he brushed it to the side, as he launched another burst of magic forward, causing one of the last mages to duck into cover as a response, "No plan survives first contact with the enemy."
"Mark, the Wandering Tactician of Elibe?" Blake asked a moment later, her eyes surveying around them.
Robin eyed her for a moment, before nodding "I'm a little surprised my knowledge of literature is still intact, and I know common things, but for the most part, my memory is blank."
Blake gave a simple nod afterwards, before she decided to dash towards the front, right in time as it was, as she blocked a blade that was aiming towards frederick's back, even as Robin launched a bolt of lightning towards a mage once again, this time hitting, and stunning him long enough for his life to end by Chrom's blade.
If Robin was honest, for the most part, the enemies they were facing were untrained Brigands, that barely knew how to cast spells, use or sword, or even swing and axe. It was relieving, and disappointing at the same time if he was honest. For whatever reason, he really wanted to show that he could be trusted so he could either go on his way and try and figure out what was going on, or something else. He wasn't sure to be honest. A part of him humored the thought of joining whatever group Chrom led, but he didn't think it was too realistic all things considered.
Before he knew it, there was only one person left out of the group of Brigands, the rest having either fled or been put to the sword. The last man, either not knowing where the rest of his men had gone, or just simple didn't care, let out a loud laugh at them approaching "Here sheepy sheepy, Come to the slaughter!"
There was a sadistic sort of glee on his face with the words, even as an axe left his hand. The blade flew right past Robin's head before he could really react, an arm pulling him into cover before another one could actually hit him. Chrom and Frederick were not too far away as well in their own cover, Lissa hiding behind the large armored horse that Frederick was on.
Wait, when did he get a horse?!
Giving a shuddering breath, the white haired man spoke up while ignoring the previous thought in his head "I can distract him with some magic, but that's all I have."
"It should be enough. You keep his attention, I'll sneak up on him." Blake said a second later.
Seeing the resolve on her face, Robin gave a simple nod, before he moved up slightly, the sound of another axe crashing into a piece of wood sounding out. Waiting for one more throw, Robin ducked out of cover after the sound rang out, lightning flashing onto his finger tips, the bolt being launched in an instant. In the same instant Blake broke cover, rushing forward faster than most people would be able to follow, the lightning covering her movement.
Ducking back into cover a second later, Robin could feel the impact of the axe through the fruit stand he was leaning against. He waited a few more moments, before ducking out in the opposite direction to launch another bolt of lightning at the man, Blake being nowhere to be seen for the moment. The Brigand having to move to the side due to the lightning didn't notice the shadow over him the next second before it was too late, even as a grin spread Robin's mouth wide at the sight.
Even from the distance, Robin could see the weapon dig into the man's shoulder. From the angle the blade was at, it was digging through the soft flesh of the shoulder, and down into where the man's heart no doubt was if the fact that he seized was anything to go by. A second later he collapsed into a heap, dead on the ground.
Robin couldn't stop the relieved sigh he felt leave him, even as he, and the others regrouped with Blake "Well, that's the end of that."
"Lucky for the town, we were close by!" Lissa spoke up with a smile, though Robin could see a hint of sadness in her look as well, no doubt due to the dead "But holy wow Robin! Magic, weaponry, and planning! Is there anything you can't do?"
Blake, amusement coloring her eyes. Spoke up a second later "Think before he speaks when asking someone a question it seems."
The heat he felt in his cheeks was most definitely in embarrassment this time, even as he laughed nervously. Still, he didn't have much time to dwell on that, as a moment later Chrom put a hand on his shoulder "Well, even with that considered, You were of great help today friend."
"It was sloppy technique, but it was enough for me, at the very least to consider you telling the truth about your memories." Frederick spoke up a moment later, his expression set into a scowl, though Robin did notice when his expression changed "Nevertheless, milord, did you notice? The leader had a plegian accent."
Chrom nodded, "The weapons were clearly of Ylissean make however, shoddy as they were."
The two terms were confusing for Robin considering the situation, something he quickly voiced. The explanation he received from Lissa in response told him enough to form his own opinions at the very least, considering the fact that it seemed that Plegia was sending over Brigands to harass the people without making it actually look like they did it. While there was no proof of this, Robin felt somewhere deep within his being this sort of discomfort from the name of Plegia.
"Enough of that for the moment I suppose. Robin I have a question for you." Chrom's voice sounded out, breaking him out of his thoughts "You do not know your origins, and while that has been proven, I would ask, would you like to join the Shepherds?"
Amusement seemed to spark to life in his eyes, even as Blake spoke up "The Shepherds, for a lack of a better term, are a group of Militia that do their best to protect Ylisse from threats, both foreign, and domestic."
Giving a nod towards that, Chrom continued "You are a talented tactician, and you fought bravely for Ylissean lives."
His words seemed slightly awkward, like he wasn't used to being all official about his offer, but even then, Robin could see the sincerity of his words. If he was honest, the white haired man had idle thoughts about what it would have been like if someone else, less kind, had found him, but he left those to the wayside. Chrom was as nice of a man as he had ever met, and there was almost something drawing him to the blue haired man as well.
Reaching out his hand, Robin took hold of Chrom's in a strong grip, accepting the offer with a smile on his face.
So, no Omake this time, mainly due to the fact that, to be honest, I was only planning on writing 4 of them to show my ideas as to where each of the girls of team RWBY could head towards in the future. If you want me to make more in the future I could, but for the time being i'm not going to. I was planning on doing the Thanksgiving one as well, but to be honest, I had nothing come to me during the time, so I'm leaving that out for the time being. There will be one for Christmas though, and I do plan to get the next chapter out a lot sooner than I took to get this one out. Assuming nothing goes wrong again of course.
