"Get away, yah pesky Heroes!"

Hito Okame yelled as he ran down the street, darting into a small alleyway between to shops. This was ridiculous! There weren't supposed to be Heroes patrolling this area at the moment, it was the perfect time for the wolf mutant to snatch a bag or two and run. Except there had been Heroes. Vlad King and some kid, to be exact, though Hito didn't really care, the Pro had actually stayed behind to help the woman he'd shoved over after grabbing her purse. He clutched the purse to his chest, looking around madly as he shot out into the street on the other side.

"Sorry, can't do that. Please return what you stole."

Hito stared at the well-dressed young man standing beside him, as though he'd been waiting, his dark grey three-piece suit not even ruffled. The man grinned as he shoved the purse into the pocket of his coat.

"The hell kind of a Hero are you supposed to be, kid?" he laughed, taking a swipe at the teen's head, who easily ducked under the obvious punch, "I bet yer quirk ain't worth shit!"

"I would prefer not to have to use it, to be fair," the boy sighed as he backed away from the man, leading him towards another alleyway as he continued to dodge the inexpert attacks, "It can be kind of scary."

"Scary?" the older man chuckled as the teen sidestepped into the alley, Hito following him, "I'll show you scary!"

The man shoved at the teen, stumbling when the boy hopped back and to the side, sending Hito crashing into the dead end just behind the teen. The wolf man scrambled to his feet, spinning around and letting a deep growl escape his throat as he stared down the teen.

"Cute," the boy laughed.

Actually laughed at Hito. The man wasn't used to this, especially considering how intimidating he looked. A seven-foot-tall wolf man, covered in dark grey fur, even if he was slightly gaunt and sickly looking from living in the streets. But this kid had laughed at him.

"Bastard!" Hito howled, "I'll beat your ass!"

His fist stopped in midair. Well, that wasn't completely accurate, it was more like his fist was stopped in midair, the teen not even straining to hold the much larger man's entire arm back. The boy gave a grin, Hito feeling a shiver run up his spine as he watched a tendril of what looked like blood extend out of the teen's palm. It snapped to the side, a loud squeak, followed by a furious chirping noise coming from a pile of boxes as the tendril pulled out a large rat.

"Sorry," the teen said as he grinned, grabbing the rat in his hand and biting down on it, "I get hungry when I have to chase people."

Hito felt a distinct warmth between his legs as they gave out, the taller man collapsing to the ground as he watched the rat twitch a few times, then fall still. The boy threw the corpse aside as though it were nothing, another tendril of blood reaching out and wrapping around the shocked Hito, before dragging him out into he street, Vlad King running up to the a moment later, asking the kid all sorts of questions. Hito didn't react until the cops had put the handcuffs on him and they were already driving away in the police van.

"He ate a fucking rat," he breathed, "That little fucker just…ate a goddamn rat."
