Note: Just something I really wanted out of Season 11, and something I hope we get in Season 12
'Have you noticed how, distant, Hetty has been for the last few months?' Callen asked his buddies.
'Not exactly. She's probably busy with something.' Sam said.
'Probably involved in a dangerous spy mission that she can't tell any of us about.' Deeks chimed in.
'Or she's depressed about something personal.' Kensi said.
'I'm gonna go over and ask her.' Callen responded.
Hetty's office
'Hetty, can we talk?' Callen asked.
'Yes Mr. Callen, please sit down.'
He sat down.
'I just want to ask, are you okay?'
'Why yes, why wouldn't I be?' She responded.
'I've been noticing how distant and sad you've been for quite awhile. I just want to know if you're okay.'
'I'm not sick, if that's what you're wondering.'
'Nice to hear. But, is there something more, something I should be concerned about?' Callen asked.
Silence.
'Sigh. I'm, lonely. I miss having a drinking buddy, I sometimes wonder if I have somehow failed this team and don't know about it. I worry that I've let this team down by always being absent.' Hetty said, with a sad face.
'Hetty… You've never let this team down! You've never let ME down. And whatever the reason for you being absent, I'm sure it's a good one.' Callen said with a comforting voice.
Hetty looked like she was going to cry after hearing that.
'Oh, come here and let me hug you!'
They hugged, and Hetty cried.
'Come on guys, let's have a group hug!' Callen said to the team members standing nearby.
They brought it in for a big group hug.
'It'll be okay Hetty! (Kensi) We're here for you! (Sam) We love you so much! (Deeks).'
'Oh! I love all of you so much!' Hetty said, while crying.
Endnote: I really didn't like how Hetty was ignored in Season 11 after Mother.
