Chapter 19
During their walk, Selina did not release her head from its position. They traversed through the rest of the Lower Ground and walked through the main side street and the station; they reached the park. The place was lush with green grass and the sunlight barely reached them for the blockade of clouds.
They walked through that as well and were on their own main street. Not theirs, strictly, for Selina resided elsewhere; yet Bruce was too accustomed now to see Selina in his place, and his mind was a deceitful trickster that nevertheless patted him on his shoulder in every instance he fell.
They stopped. Bruce held Selina from her cheeks, and he kissed her.
