Does anyone remember when they started banning lyric stories? That was pretty interesting. Goodbye half the stories and emo songs.
Please comment and review. Even if it is to tear me a new one. My writing is quite, QUITE rusty and I'm no stranger to taking it in the ... well. Ya know.
My first reviewer was forestreject and love their heart it made me happy! I will say to you what I said them:

TFH Out.
Switzerland was a gorgeous country. The housing complex for CERN was clean, concise, and coincidentally far far away from her issues. Trinity sat herself down in a chair she positioned to look out the window. The housing complex was situated into the side of the mountain which gave million dollar views to most people in the building. Without anymore strength, she cracked, sobbing into her hands unsure of why it hurt so bad this time.
She was a survivor. Strong. Brilliant. Resilient. With a scream she kicked over the chair and was left huffing. That was enough wallowing in self pity for her.
Mirrors didn't lie. She looked awful and angry. Green eyes seemed to glow due to the swollen redness of her skin. With her left hand she pushed her hair into some shape and noticed her engagement ring. How hadn't she thought to take it off? Trinity shoved the ring into her bag and hopped into a scalding hot shower.
At what point had she become so gullible and stupid? Really, Trinity had no grasp on romantic relationships. She was either too oblivious or focused on work or had shoved her volatileness down far into her body. Friends were fine. Family, wonderful. Long ago she had been placed on mood stabilizers to help and they always helped along side exercise and heavy amount of introspection and sometimes long term isolation. Research was kind in that most projects can be done offsite.
Her twenties had been kind to her compared to the rest of her childhood. Trinity had skipped a lot of world building with her peers due to her superior, savant like intellect. It was time to cut herself some slack. At 29 she was one of the world's leading theoretical particle astrophysicists and had a wonderful, loving supportive family who understood her demons. She smiled into the water.
I'm ok. This is ok. Move on Kholer. Walk strong.
With a renewed mental state she was glad that Mason had disappointed her time and time and time again. This time she was going to forward hard and fast and proud. There was no more room for regret and hurt. Here she had the opportunity to truly delve into what she loved, into what she knew could move humanity to the future: science.
Trinity pulled on some nice dark jeans, something she would be comfortable in all day, crawling around in colliders during a very exclusive tour set up by her long time mentor. Otherwise she kept it simple: glasses, white t-shirt, black blazer, and her small, non invasive black backpack.
Devin Tran came and picked her up. Trinity always noted how gorgeous he was. There was a slight feminine charm in the older gentleman but he could still qualify as a runway model, which he had been at some point. Allegedly.
Several hours later Trinity had been introduced to some of the most qualified technologists and scientists on the planet. Yes, the days of singular fame was gone, but now they all strived for the goals that would take decades to accomplish. The selfless existed here. Those who wanted to contribute and may never see the fruits of their labour. If was a great honor and she had all but forgotten the torment she experienced several days ago.
The workday came to an end and the collider was on a brief hiatus for classified reasons. Trinity grinned wildly. Devin got her prepped to enter the underground chambers and ready to stroll through the mechanical marvel that was the Large Hadron Collider.
"So how's this tour treating you, fledgeling?" Trinity scoffed and smiled at his particularly bizarre nickname for her. Trinity had met Devin around 14 or 15 and now he was like her science father. She trusted him as much as her actual father.
"Devin … I'm speechless. I'm dumbfounded and amazed. This is insane. I feel like Alice through the looking glass."
He flashed her and award winning smile and dropped a glove clad hand on her shoulder. "I think you needed this and I needed you. You're going to make history here I think."
They walked in silence through the passage ways. It was a technological labyrinth. Eventually they came to the CMD, a massed 15m diameter mess of magnets. "This is where the real magic happens," he said just as giddy as she was.
Devin put her on a cherry picker to get a closer look. While up in the air Trinity heard a disturbing noise and gasped. Something rocked her in the air and she clung to the railing while getting on her knees. The bars of metal around here suddenly seemed insufficient and traitorous.
"Devin!?" She gasped frantic.
"I don't know what it was. Turn the key and enter the code on the side of the panel and you can lower the picker! I have to go see what that was!" Trinity was flabbergasted. He was going to leave her up in the air during … well she didn't know what was happening but the shock came again and she struggled to raised herself up to the panel out of sheer fear.
"Devin! Don't you fucking leave me here!" It was too late. His long, deer like legs sent him out of site and now she was alone in the monstrous, technological cavern. A few minutes passed and the shock didn't come again. Trinity urged herself up just enough to start fussing with the control panel so she could get on the ground.
Slow and shaking she started to arm the panel for function but then the worst happened. The collider all around here was coming to life. This seemed most certainly dangerous.
What the fuck.
Her nerves kept her pressing the wrong buttons and shock waves were coming faster, shorter, and stronger. Suddenly she felt like she was smashed in the head, stomach, and side with bricks. The building around her wretched in an unfamiliar, bizarre, unrealistic way.
Until it didn't.

Two months had passed since the troubling since Uhura had effectively dumped Spock. Both were in unstable emotional conditions, but Spock handled it much better, especially since Kirk and McCoy were good "bros" as Jim called it. She decided to take a position on another exploratory vessel. It pained them both, but it was her choice and Spock would not interfere despite knowing her value as a crew member.
There were three weeks left until they reached Earth. The Enterprise's warp needed a little bit of buffing up, even with all the skilled mechanics, they just didn't have the right equipment, that was all back on base. The last couple of months were purely for testing the ship's new capabilities and refits after being obliterated.
"Spock." It was Kirk.
"Captain, to what do I owe this visit?" Spock was currently eating breakfast in the cafeteria bay. Kirk grabbed a sandwich and sat across from him in the booth.
He gave his friend a sympathizing look. With a strangely modest and soft voice, "I just wanted to make sure you were alright. This can't be easy."
Spock nodded and sat down his fork. "It is complicated, but I remain optimistic that time will correct such emotions and the remainder of our attractions will diminish. I have no ill will to the Lieutenant and we will remain courteous, professional, and … friendly."
The answer Kirk received made him blink for a few seconds. Spock's words were always weird and difficult for Jim to digest, but this left something unsaid. Jim's brow furrowed and he leaned in closer to Spock across the table.
"Spock, it may not work out that way. A lot of things that end, stay that way. But, we're here for you and plus there will always be another who may understand you so much better. I think people can love each other in the wrong ways and in the right ways. Sometimes it is hard to figure out the difference."
Jim grinned like the Cheshire Cat. "I could always help … You know what I mean."
Kirk was now wagging a finger point into Spock's face. Spock gave him a tip up at the edge of his lips. That caused Jim to brandish a full smile. "That's my Vulcan! Ah man, when we get back we are hitting every single bar in the city! Maybe I can call up a few of my lady fr-"
"Ah, I understand." Spock replied before he could say anymore. Then there came an all call from Chekov.
"Yellow alert. Yellow alert. Keptin Kirk. First Commander Spock. there is un urgent matter on ze bridge, Keptin and Commander there is un urgent matter on ze bridge." They looked at each other and rushed off.
While walking down the halls Spock grabbed onto Kirk's shoulder. "Jim. Thank you."
Kirk smiled. "Your one of my best friends, how could I not?" And with that both returned to hurrying to the deck. They were anxious on the lift. Kirk was joking, rattling obscene hap-stances but Spock was not as comical and was spinning out ideas as to what could be so emergent.
As the elevator opened, they froze. Nothing was on fire, no one hurt, but everyone was in a spaced out circle, staring intently at something on the lower part of the deck. "Chekov! Status report!"
"Oh, Keptin, Commander, thank goodness you arrived. Come, come see." He point across the room, there was a rapidly growing hole in the middle of the room. It wasn't large. "Oh god! You don't think you could have told me it was a bit more urgent!"
Chekov stuttered but said nothing. Commander and Captain split up to their respective stations. "Mr. Spock, start running scans, I want to know how it got there."
"Captain it just showed up out of nowhere. We don't know what caused it either!" Sulu started. Kirk waved for everyone to step back. "Captain, do we need to evacuate the ship?" The Kelpien Chief Security Officer Nahva, proclaimed.
"No not yet. Spock, any readings?"
The half-Vulcan was viciously typing into an interface panel. "Neither the origins nor compounds creating the anomaly are showing up. It is too soon to establish any residuals."
Sulu came up to speed now. "Romulans?" Kirk frowned and Spock simply looked at him.
No answer came.
At that moment the hole started spinning viciously, bridge alarms almost deafening with the air and sound in the room distorted. All the crew jerked their attention to the vortex in the room. There was a howl from the air pressure change.
Jim gave the order, "To your stations and brace yourselves!" A giant sucking pulled on the crew members, everyone grappling onto the ship. Spock thought he saw something and reacted instinctively along side Jim to block it from the others.
Thoughts? I'm struggling with getting my chops in but I hope it will pan out.
CERN is a true place and they have amazing and wondrous projects and facilities. It's mind blowing. If we ever have starships I'd imagine they are the cornerstone.
