Spock and Jim rushed to vortex as small screws and debris were being flung about the bridge. Jim managed to block something metal and hefty from crashing into one of the comm panels or splitting open Sulu's skull. Spock was closer to the whirling vortex which resulted in him being pinned to the ground by the largest and final object. It was heavy and gasping for air.

"Mr. Chekov, status report!" Jim barked at the young officer. Pavel raised his hands in disbelief and reported, "All systems are functional Keptin. No damages. It is as if nothing happened."

Jim frowned and glanced to where the vortex had been just seconds ago. His eyes floated down, still holding an outdated wrench.

Silence settled onto the bridge, save the huffing of a very shocked Dr. Trinity Kholer.

Her vision was blurry. Maybe it was dust, stress, and vertigo but her vision had yet to focus. One minute she was scared mindless on the cherry picker and the next it felt like she had been forcibly catapulted into the stomach of a snake. There was constriction and pressure which ripped the breath from her body. It didn't register that she had landed on another person entirely.

The bridge crew looked on in beguiled horror at the scene. Spock managed to catch her but crumpled onto the floor from the sheer force of her fall. Trinity rolled onto all fours over Spock's legs while he managed to prop up onto his elbows. He noticed Uhura, hand over her mouth, getting up to presumably check on him. He let her know he was fine with a gesture and she froze in place. Trinity gasped and coughed on the floor in a daze. Her ears rang. Oh how they rang. Christ what had happened to her? Slowly but surely she came to a little and patted the floor, trying to … Well she wasn't sure what she was trying to accomplish.

Eventually she found something soft? Fabric? It was sturdy enough to try and push herself up but her balance was non existent. She nearly fell over but something or someone caught her. Her current delirium was exacerbated by the pain she experienced and loss of her glasses.

"Devin?" She rasped. No. Whoever it was, was much paler, taller, and broader. Hands held her up by her elbows. If not for those she would have crashed to the ground again.

Spock stabilized their visitor and looked to Jim who had located her glasses. Both of the senior officers were quiet but exchanged peculiar looks. While Spock held her up, she muttered stupidly, "It sounds bad and I can't see …" This was worse than her worst hangover.

Spock's eyebrow flicked up and somewhere in the background one of crewmen chuckled.

"Here you go, careful now." Jim spoke calmly and slowly while putting the freshly cracked glasses on the woman. Leaning into his first officer, "We need to get her into sick bay. I think she's going into shock. Bones is currently in surgery though. Mr. Sulu you have the bridge and can we get some people in here to clean this up."

Sulu nodded, "On it now captain."

Trinity felt herself being shifted and practically dragged off by mister pale man and glasses tan guy. There wasn't much protesting on her end but at least a partial amount of her vision was coming back to her. Where did all the weird lights come from? It was so bright.

A door shut in front of her face with a swoosh and finally she could make out facial details. Jim noticed her staring at him. "You doing ok Miss?"

"Do you work here? I didn't see you earlier." Her voice was slow and she was so very confused. Was she made of jello now? With a slight giggle she mumbled, "I hope I'm peach flavor." Jim grinned and laughed. Looking up at Spock he said, "I think our guest here is feeling a bit loopy from her … journey? Any theories so far Commander?"

Spock looked down at the woman who was giggling gently to herself. "She seems to not understand what has happened yet Captain. Otherwise, that was very much a wormhole."

Trinity looked up at the word wormhole with a perplexed look on her face. "It can't produce that much energy, you know that … Did I not meet either of you on the way in? Huh. I'm Trinity. Devin brought me on. Also, my sincere apologies about Dr. Atlassian."

"I don't think she knows what's happening here," Jim said as they pulled her off of the turbo lift and down the hall. Trinity looked around wildly, since when had there been a hallway in the collider? Had she fainted? Her stomach lurched and head throbbed. Her breath had caught up with her and so had her vision but her brain was not processing fast enough to protest being taken by two strange men.

With a spike of adrenaline and seeming moment of clarity she yanked back hard enough to free herself from their grasp. Sadly this motion promptly landed her on her ass in the middle of the hall staring up. At this angle and with her adrenal response she could clearly make out the two men. Her face twisted in confusion and she wildly whipped her head around. Terrible idea for that made her condition much worse. Her breathing was starting to come out in gasps.

"What the -? Who - you? Wh-what?"

"Captain we need to get her to the sick bay before this becomes a serious medical issue." Jim nodded and knelt down beside her, his hands up.

"Hi there. My name is Jim. This is Spock. You're safe. We're Starfleet officers and we'd like to take you to our sick bay to make sure you aren't hurt or going into shock." Though it seems like she was most certainly already in shock.

Trinity didn't necessarily feel like she was in danger but she was also starting to not feel her feet either. "Hi, I'm Trinity," she said, introducing herself for a second time though she was paler.

She held out her hand to him and Jim took it gently, "I'm going to pull you up now Trinity. Ok?" She nodded and once on her feet she found herself face to face with the dark haired man. She tipped her head to one side in confusion. What had happened to his eyebrows? Her hand went up slowly. Jim grabbed it but threw an amused look at Spock. "Let's not do that, shall we? Off we go now. The commander is going to grab your other arm now ... and she fainted." Trinity was officially out cold and on the floor.

Delirium made people act strangely Spock noted as they gathered her up. His previous training in medicine and anatomy had taught him about odd and inappropriate responses to trauma but this woman had just tried to pet his eyebrows.

Once again Trinity was being hauled off but due to her unconsciousness Spock let Jim put her on his back. In the sickbay Spock unloaded his new backpack onto a biobed. Jim hustled over one of the junior medical staff. The poor kid was shocked that the captain was giving him a patient directly but he took it in stride and had her blood pressure stabilized in no time. After a few more hypo sprays he gave her one last injection, then was dismissed for privacy.

Trinity slowly regained consciousness, feeling weak but not as disgustingly flimsy.

Opening her eyes she was greeted with a kind, yet mirthful smile to her right. "How are you feeling?" Jim asked positioning himself on the edge of her biobed.

"I feel like I've been smashed in the face with a brick ... " Gaze traveled around the room. Before the conversation continued a disgruntled man in a blue shirt came in swearing in a fashion she had only heard in Alabama. "Bones! Glad you could join us." McCoy rolled his eyes.

"Here I am elbows deep in an Andorian hypo-athletraxia and one of my nurses comes in telling me the Captain and Hobgoblin just dumped a woman in my sick bay. Jim would you like to tell what in the sam hell is going on or who this woman is?" All the while his prattling continued he grabbed a tricorder to double check that poor nurses work and make sure she was stable. Some of the scans came back a little funny but the doctor over looked it for now in the interest of find out who this woman was.

"Hobgoblin?" Trinity watched the cantankerous man and found his colorful prose amusing, but at this moment she didn't have the energy to fully appreciate it. But how could a doctor be so rude? And was he calling the other man a hobgoblin? The man in yellow surely resembled a normal and very attractive man but ...

"Oh my god." She became fixated on Spock, mouth slack and eyes wide. His ears ... His eyebrows. If he hadn't looked primarily human she would have asked if he was a cat. "Sir, are you ok?" She almost made this known to the doctor but the look on the stoic man's face made her stop. Maybe he knew. Maybe she was being rude?

"You don't know what he is?" Her whipped back to the man in yellow. "What he is? What do you mean what he is? He's a he a isn't he?" Was this a riddle? Her head was still achy and this wasn't helping.

"I'm Vulcan Miss ...?" Spock said, hoping to lead her to introduce herself as opposed to playing twenty questions about his ears.

"That like a band or something? Hold up, where am I? Did I faint? Where's Devin? And who are you? What is this?" Jim sidelined the other two, scratching the back of his head.

"Could she have amnesia? How many Devins are on the ship?" Spock sighed, "We have zero Devins aboard the ship or on the roster."

"Jim, how did she get here?" Leonard asked. He seemed to be the only one finding any real answers today. Jim retold of the very dramatic yet short bridge event in hushed tones.

Trinity, finally ok enough to sit up and breathe properly, looked upon the three man huddle. It was obvious to her they were wearing uniforms because of the varied insignia in the arm cuffs. While that was odd, the room was even odder. There were so many things she could potentially name based on context but had never seen before. Everything was so streamlined and advanced. It looked like if Apple had built a hospital.

"Hey fellas, sorry to interrupt but can someone please talk to me?" Her voice trailed off when she saw what looked like a window. Trinity popped up spryly and raced over. Was it night? When she got to the window her stomach dropped. "What is this?" In this instant she became a statue, fixated on ... stars. Those were stars.

Leonard pulled over a chair for her to sit in. He pressed on her shoulders and she obediently went down, still staring into her dreams. Jim swiveled the chair and he sat down in front of her, Spock near the doorway to prevent visitors, and Bones leaning against his office desk.

"We're in space. My name is James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, member of the United Federation of Planets. This is our Chief Medical Officer and over there is our Chief Science Officer and First Officer, Mr. Spock."

"So you're absolutely fine with the notion that we're flying through space right now, correct?" It was incredulous, preposterous and yet, she believed it.

"Listen," came the southern drawl but Trinity took it upon herself to throw a hand up to stop him. With a hard swallow, she said, "So I'm in space?" which was followed with an affirmative.

Spock joined their chat at a distance and asked, "Can you tell us what happened to you? Anything you tell us could prove helpful in returning you." Trinity gave him a suspicious look and a frown. These men seemed alright as she prided herself on her judge of character and there was overwhelming aspect of being shot out of luck.

"I'm Dr. Trinity Kholer. I was recently brought on to participate on a wide breadth research project at CERN. I don't know what happened. I was checking out the CMD on the cherry picker and then ... I don't know what honestly. I think I must have fell off of it and hit my head or exposed to some radiation or something. I don't know. And now I'm in space? How did I go from being on Earth to being in space?" It felt like someone dumped cold water on her suddenly.

She looked down at her clothes and noticed her bag still draped over her shoulders. Frantically she dug through for her cellphone. She shook her head. Only an hour had passed.

"Captain, Dr. Kholer, I think it would be best if we had this conversation somewhere more private." Honestly it was peculiar to have three leading officers interrogating one obviously shaken woman in the sick bay. Trinity didn't have much room to argue and followed them to a private apartment on the ship in an empty corridor offshoot preparing herself for the worst.
