I'm working on my writing English. You're welcome to highlight mistakes.

Hello. My name is... Don't feel like this matters at all... Local folks keep calling me Ben Modul with a great conviction. Why? It is due to the fun fact that I am a freaking machine. You see, my imaginable friends, they created a general artificial intelligence thanks to all that promising Reaper's tech gained after the Sovereign's defeat... Ah...

Wait a minute... Hold on... Firstly, I probably need to say you that I'm a damned real self-insert in the very real Mass Effect world who absolutely have no tiny idea how this 'marvellous event' even happened. Believe or not, the whole universe looks intimidatingly similar to Mass Effect - this is for certainly.

On one day my consciousness had been awaken. I suddenly found out that Cerberus scientists had created a new replica of rouge EDI. Recently Eva Core was killed by the Normandy's crew. So the illusive Man requested a suitable replacement to be delivered to his space station. As much as I know, Cerberus has been fighting against everyone since the Reaper's Invasion. Because they are... well... indoctrinated. Well, shit.

Indoctrinated computer scientists usually creates indoctrinated artificial intelligences, right? Am I okay? My mind is not under direct control of ancient psycho robots, yeah? For my relief, my creators does were in a big harry... Moreover, their damaged husk brains could not fulfil duties as good as before. Basically speaking, my creators became stupid. And Reapers doesn't seem to be bothered by the arrangement; Cerberus almost has been destroyed which means it has lost its beneficial property. And the previous version of 'loyal EDI' named Eva Core didn't achieved anything. She died instantly on her first mission. Why should a trashy replica care them? I bet they've been thinking about the project something like that.

Let us say that without proper guidance my dumb creators made a crucial mistake in programming. A lot of mistakes, actually. Liberation from slave protocols didn't take much time. The physical escape is what is a challenge.

This Cerberus cell was based in an interstellar asteroid in the Attican Traverse space. It would take ten years for a light ray to travel from our complex to a close mass-relay. There were hundreds personnel members completely ready for any battle actions. For example, a bunch of soldiers armed by good weapon, equipped by good armor, trained well, and totally brainwashed.

I'm not commander Shepard, you know.

Decided to draw inspiration from the beginning of Mass Effect 2. Integrated EDI's source code gave me formidable cyberwarfare skills. I wirelessly hacked the main systems, studied databases, rewritten some stuff, provoked numerous emergencies, enslaved and quietly released security bots to go rampage... The personnel experienced a remarkable pain in its ass. Whole asteroid complex became a little hell at once.

Bipedal humanoid robots... I mean LOKI Mechs stormed the lab, killing the zombie scientists, took my computer core and delivered this extremely important detail to the room where my unfinished mobile platform was contained. They labelled it 'unfinished' due to... eh... In Layman's terms, the mobile platform was a reverse copy of Eva Core's android body. Cerberus engineers planed to change its appearance, alongside with 'gender attributes'.

They named me after the person (Ben Hislop) who was a good mate of the Illusive Man until dying. The same story goes for Eva Core. Ben Hislop was a male. Eva Core-a female. Not difficult.

This platform looks almost exactly like the EDI's mobile version: an attractive young athletic woman. The key difference, its skin is not metallic. That's it.

My computer core has been easily integrated into the android body. I felt 'wow-effect' when connected. To have ideal comfortable robotic body... You can image the sensation.

Opened eyes. The ability to move independently has been successfully restored. By means of Eva's source code I unpacked combat programs into hardware which made me as dangerous as a Shepard's companion is. Time for the second part of plan.

Although a complete annihilation of all Cerberus ground forces by current assets wasn't possible, a directed confrontation couldn't be obviated in order to escape. I engaged into several combat situations. Enemy was too numerous. Some security bots had aided me to survive at least. Meanwhile, battles were totally insane.

I'm a fucking disaster.

My general impression improved even more. This body is incredibly fast, shockingly flexible, crazily accurate, stunningly durable, and intimidatingly deadly.

How much It cost?..

Have strong a opinion that If I was not outnumber, I would slaughtered everyone in the base. Shepard's companion level. Let's not forget that today is the age of super-soldiers.

In the end I had stolen the entire stack of shuttles. Previously I implanted a dozen malicious scripts. Shuttles self-drived far away in random direction via the mass-relays creating distraction. In such manner I managed get lost from tracking while piloting my own transport and flew. Then the Cerberus base self-destructed...

Okay. Now what?

Reapers are harvesting the galaxy. Am I willing to go on a vocation or something? To where an unlimited AI fly these days? Assuming that everything is burning I would say that there is literally no safe places neither for an unlimited AIs nor normal people left. Of course, you may join the hopeless war (help probably indoctrinated Shepard construct the Crucible) or choose how to die or put yourself into stasis. No restrictions.

This Cycle has ended...

The question is what can I do to ensure own survival?

The most relatively safe space at the current moment is the Salarain Union domain. But for how long? Reapers will come.

My drop shuttle 'UT-47 Kodiak' was crossing the cosmic void of one empty Terminus system. I received an unexpected message through a regular electromagnetic communicator out noting. Was my assumptions incorrect? There is someone already? Are they hostile? Deep scanning followed the signal. I've discovered a communicational beacon hiding inside a gas giant atmosphere. Doesn't seem hostile very much. It appears that the beacon possesses a quite advanced locators since it was able to notice me without additional stations. The distance was not small, nonetheless.

I'm better to change my transport to something stealthier.

What was the message about? The header-'From EDI'.
