Courtney is sitting on a bench at a park. She is relaxing.
"Courtney?" Someone says behind her.
Courtney's eyes widen. She recognizes that voice. She never expected to hear that voice again. She turns around is shocked at who she is looking at. She hasn't seen this person in 5 years. She never expected to see this person again.
Courtney: "Duncan?" She asks shocked.
Duncan smiles.
Duncan: Longtime no see."
Courtney: "Yea, your right about that. You want to sit down?"
Duncan:" Sure."
He sits next to her.
Duncan: "How are you?"
Courtney: "I'm doing well. How long have you been out of jail for?"
Duncan: "I was released 2 years ago."
Courtney: "That's nice, how has life been since?"
Duncan: "It has been great. While at jail, I suffered a lot. Going through so many bad experiences made me realize I didn't want to be a troublemaker anymore. Since being released, I've cleaned up by bad-boy act, and have been working at a tattoo shop.
Courtney smiles
Courtney: "Wow, that's great."
Duncan: "Bridgette tells me you're a lawyer. How's that going?"
Courtney: "It is fun and busy."
Duncan: "That's nice."
Courtney: "I've actually changed as well.
Duncan: "You have?" Duncan asks curiously.
Courtney: "Yes, after All Stars ended, I realized I had an anger problem, and my control freak and bossy personality were getting out of control. I realized I needed to calm down. Since, then, I've managed to calm down, and be a more nice and peaceful person. While I'm still competitive and a control freak, I'm much better than I was before. It's fun to relax, and not be crazy and stressed out all the time.
Duncan: "Wow, it's nice that both of us have changed for the better."
Courtney: "I agree."
After a few moments of silence, Courtney speaks.
Courtney: "So, I was able to mend things with Gwen after All Stars."
Duncan: "Gwen told me that."
Courtney: "You're friends with her again?" She asks curiously.
Duncan: "Yea, she visited me a lot while I was in jail. In her first visit, we apologized for how things went down and All Stars, and agreed to be friends again.
Courtney: "That's good, I apologized to her for the chart incident again after All Stars, and luckily she forgave me and became my friend again. We've been going strong since.
Duncan: "Oh, yea, I remember watching the chart fiasco while in prison. Good thing the two of you made amends."
Courtney: "Yup."
Duncan's smile then turns into a serious expression.
Duncan: "Courtney, I am glad that I ran into you because, I wanted to talk to you about something."
Courtney becomes confused.
Courtney: "About what Duncan?"
Duncan: "It is a sensitive topic."
Courtney: "What is it Duncan?" She asks more confused.
Duncan is silent.
Courtney: "Come on Duncan. If you want to say something to be, then just say it. We're grownups. I can take it."
Duncan is still silent.
