Santalune City Pokémon Center was quite the busy pit stop for upcoming trainers coming from anywhere south of the forest that followed the city's name sake, and it was also where many trainers got their first gym badge. Davaid came rushing through the doors, Nurse Joy immediately took notice of the wounded Houndoom in his arms, "Chansey get a medical bed now," said Nurse Joy as she rushed out from behind the counter, "what happened to this Houndoom? "To put it short, her leg got caught in a bear trap," answered Davaid. Soon after, the Chansey came out with a medical bed, and Davaid quickly laid the hellhound on the bed, and waited outside of the surgery room.

Davaid sighed, "after she's healed, she's probably gonna want to return to her home," he mused as he awaited the Houndoom's status. A nurse came out of the room holding a clipboard, "her leg doesn't appear to be broken, and we bandaged the wound, but she will have to stay here for at least a few days," said the nurse, "if you wish you two may stay in one of the many guest rooms," she added. After nodding he was allowed into Houndoom's room, "hey Houndoom," he lowered down and reached out to pet her, before deciding against it. She probably wasn't too fond of him petting her right?

Nurse Joy later came into the room, and told him that he should move the Houndoom to one of the many rooms that were opened to trainers on their journey. Laying Houndoom on one of the beds, he made sure she was comfy before leaving her to her own devices. Davaid took a step into the Pokemart, which was conveniently off to the side in the Center's lobby, "congratulations! As a first time customer you won yourself a Premiere Ball and a potion !" Said one of the employees. Before subsequently handing him the items, "thank you sir," he said, before just deciding to head back to his room.

The first thing he saw was, of course, the Houndoom sleeping, but something seemed off about her. Occasionally when he peeked over at her, she had one eye slightly open that would close as soon as he noticed, "probably just doesn't trust me," he mused before turning back to the television. On it was some guy, who was wearing a suit with red highlights, talking about the beauty of the world, and the people in it, "and we need to rid the world of impurities!" Finished the man before the T.V was shut off, and putting his bag and sweater off to the side. He stretched and yawned, before pulling the covers over him, and falling asleep.

I was pretending to sleep while the human, who I believe is called Davaid, stared at a box in the corner of the room. Even though I had just met him, he seemed like a nice guy that I could possibly trust. I was only waiting for him to fall asleep, so that I could finally get up and move around. My leg still stung a little bit, but I felt as though I could walk around. To my luck, Davaid finally laid down, and not too long after started lightly snoring. He had tried petting me earlier, but for some reason decided not to. Despite how I had already trusted him, and even would have let him touch me after he helped me out. I jumped down from the bed, making sure not to apply too much weight on my injured leg, and climbed up the bed Davaid was on.

Davaid's eyes snapped open as he felt some amount of weight on the side of the bed, suddenly the Houndoom was standing on his bed. He was silent, "shit, shit shit!" He thought to himself.

I took notice of how he stared at me in the eyes, they looked like he was secretly panicking on the inside. I knew that what I did in this exact moment could easily lead to me being free, if I knew just how things would have played out, I would've made the same choice each time. I laid down and put my head close to his, and scooted closer to him. He wrapped his arms around me as he started petting me, never before had I felt something this heavenly. Eventually, we both fell victim to our drooping eyes and fell asleep.
