after I had deposited the take out boxes into a nearby trash can, I took a seat next to both of my partners, "well you two, let's get going to the professor's lab," Ruby barked while Snowy nodded. After I had gotten up, I whipped out my map of Lumiose, and began walking.
We had been walking for a few blocks, occasionally stopping if something had caught one of our eyes. After about half way through the second block, Davaid had begun to carry Ruby, while also trying to read the map, slowing down the pace at how we were walking. For once I felt jealous of the attention the Houndoom was being given, but it was only natural that she'd be getting the most attention. She was his first Pokemon, while I was technically not even his pokemon to begin with.
I put that jealousy aside, I knew I had much more to worry about. I ran away to try and protect Davaid on his journey. I kept checking our backs constantly for that person who attacked him earlier. I looked over once, and it appeared that Ruby had begun sleeping in Davaid's grasp, I smirked at her. Back in Aloha Houndoom were quite fierce and easily one of the most difficult pokemon to train, and now one was sleeping in a child's grasp.
I had to admit, being in my trainer's arms was quite comforting, "we're here!" Said Davad, before expertly putting the map in his pocket, and quickly moving it back to keep me in place. I heard shoes on tiles, telling me we were at least inside of the lab. I hadn't paid any attention as I was asleep, I only got small clips of the conversation, which sounded mostly boring to me.
The ID process wasn't anything too amazing, it was just a bunch of questions, such as, "your birthday," but thankfully it didn't last too. After my Trainer ID had been officialised I walked outside of the lab, Ruby was still in my arms, they were starting to get tired, but I didn't mind it. Just a short walk away from the lab was a Pokemon Center, so I figured we could stay there for tonight.
After we walked inside, I noticed there weren't too many people inside, but most of them had been eying me and Snowy for some reason, Snowy was more than likely being stared at since her species aren't native to Kalos, but I had no idea why the people were eying me. What I did notice was that kid with the Pikachu from earlier, said Pikachu was all scratched up and bruised.
The T.V in the lobby was playing the news, so I took a seat in one of the chairs, and sat to see what was going on with the world. I Realised there was enough room for the three of us, so I picked up Snowy, and put her on my lap alongside Ruby. I gently rubbed the back of their heads as a new story made its way onto the screen.
"And here we have an aspiring pokemon trainer showing exceptional promise, already managing to tame a wild Houndoom," said the reporter, who looked a lot like Malva from earlier. A picture of me and Ruby flashed, then my monotoned recalling of how we both had met in Santalune Forest.
My eyes finally snapped open at the sound of Davaid's voice coming out of the T.V. I growled quietly to myself when it cut to the reporter still going on about the story, and I could tell Davaid was also getting a bit fed up with it, "alright you two, let's go book for a guest room now," we both jumped down from the chair and followed him up to the front desk. The only time I've heard him speak like that was when Malva had came to interview him.
