Somewhere in Lumiose City a lady in a white suit rushed through; she had been running for the entire day up until this point. Rushing into the police station, she bumped into the chief of Police.

She was lucky that the brat couldn't tie a knot properly, "officer! A crazy kid butchered my Pokemon!" The officer nodded, "we will dispatch a group of officers to investigate." After she had left the station, she took off her sunglasses and grinned, "your days are numbered kid."

I lazily got up from where I had fell asleep, I cringed at the pain in my arm, and my burn was still just as bad as when I got it yesterday. My arm could still be used, but I knew I couldn't try carrying anything heavy, and I definitely can't write with it. My Holo Caster started buzzing off, I hit the button, and took a sip of water.

"Warning to trainers on route 5, Police have discovered the body of a victim, a Malamar who was slaughtered. Police also found a knife wedged into its body, Fingerprints were found on the knife, and they matched up with one person, Davaid Hyles."

I quickly spat out my water, the lady from yesterday escaped, and reported what I had done to the police of all people! I urgently nudged both Snowy and Ruby, "guys, we need to move!" The both of them jumped up, "Davaid what's wrong?" Asked Snowy after I quickly packed up camp with one arm, I rewinded the Holo Caster.

Ash's eyes widened as the news came through Clemont's Holo caster, "we're on route 5…" said Serena as she held her Fennekin closer, "we're going to have to keep watch while we're out here," said the kid from Pallet Town, "if we see him, we should try to constrain him, and call an officer," he added. The Holo Caster proceeded to give details as to who this Davaid Hyles was.

The fire inside of me was burning hotter than ever, I knew Davaid did kill the Malamar, but he could've died if he hadn't. We now had to travel through the woods instead of on the main road, "if we see him, we should constrain him, and call an officer," we were close to somebody who heard the news. Davaid quickly got low to the ground, Snowy and I quickly dropped to the ground.

Froakie had been staring at the tree line ever since we started eating breakfast, "what is it Froakie?" I asked, "froakie!" I stepped closer and saw a snow white Ninetales and a Houdoom. I quickly turned tail to warn the group.

My heart beat dropped, a kid just spotted me and Ruby, "Davaid, we need to hide!" I telepathically told him. Suddenly a Thunder rushed through and struck Ruby, "shit!" Cursed Davaid, he quickly ran to shield the unconscious Houndoom. We might have to fight this one out.

I quickly grabbed Ruby's body and checked for a pulse, I sighed in relief when I realised she'd only been knocked out. The only problem was I struggled to carry her before one of my arms were burnt, and now I needed to flee from a group of people. What looked like a Water Pulse nearly hit Snowy, who had stopped it with her Telekinesis, and was then shot back out of the bushes.

I jumped out of the bushes after resending their Water Pulse back at the opposition, I knew they had never seen an Alolan Ninetales before, but this battle was still going to be tough. I didn't care, "Snowy don't said Davaid," who was behind me. I turned around, he was doing his best to hold Ruby despite his injuries, and he also stepped out the bushes. I quickly stopped another Thunder from hitting Davaid.

I weakly opened my eyes, all I saw was a blur, "we surrender!" I heard Davaid's frantic voice. I could smell salt from his tears, he had noticed me regaining consciousness. I whined at not being able to stop him from crying.

I fell to my knees as this group surrounded me, my burn hurt like hell, but it didn't hurt as much as having the sight of my best friend in such a state. I looked over at Snowy who had been pinned to the ground by a kid with a big backpack, "it's okay Davaid, we'll find a way out of this," she tried to reassure me.

I was slightly bewildered to see the kid I saw day one inside of Lumiose staring into my eyes, "we're going to have to tie up your Houndoom," he said, which made me hold Ruby closer, I wasn't letting go if it killed me. I sat down, laid Ruby in my lap, and started gently rubbing her injuries. Snowy quickly got out from her captor, and ran towards me. She quickly wrapped herself around us, "if we are to be condemned, we're going to be condemned together," I said, wrapping my arms around my Pokemon, and awaited to be tied down.

Some of you might have noticed that I deleted what once was chapter 13. I decided to take it down as I wasn't proud of it. Sorry to those of you who liked it, but I think this is a better direction of the story.
