I decided it was best to let whatever had just happened solve itself, I didn't know why that Lucario went crazy, and I definitely didn't know a single thing about Mega Evolution. We started walking up to the Pokemon Center, I picked up Volpsei, and entered the building. I could see Ash's Pikachu and Lucario being moved into their rooms on medical beds. I don't think now would be the time to say hello. I walked up to the Pokemart, grabbed more pancake mix, Pokemon Food, and a burn heal.
I could hear Davaid's heartbeat kick up when he grabbed the weird items and placed them into his shopping basket. I tilted my head at the smell of one of the items, I pawed his face. He flashed a smile at me, "I'll try and get you something," he said, he quickly went up to a small shelf of items. Davaid grabbed three of the same thing, "these things'll keep you three occupied while we're traveling."
Davaid had just grabbed a couple of Tennis balls, which got me excited, it would be just like back at home. I noticed that Davaid picking up a lot more medical supplies, "hopefully none of this needs to be used," he grabbed a few more items, and walked up to check out. After Davaid had paid for the items, he sat down in the lobby, set Volpsei in his lap, and rolled up his sleeve. Snowy was smiling while Davaid applied the medicine onto his burn.
Just like magic, the burn went away almost immediately after, "well, at least the pain is gone," said Davaid, he reached down and petted me and Ruby, "hey Davaid!" Said a very familiar voice, "heh?" Davaid looked up, and I turned around. It was our neighbour's kid from back in Vanville.
I knew this girl was travelling with Ash, but I don't think I ever spoke to her. I hadn't left home up until my journey began, "uh… hey," I tried my best to not to sound awkward. Thankfully, Ash and the rest of his travel buddies walked up, "heya Davaid!" Said Ash, extending his arm. I shook his arm, "I see you've got a new Pokemon!" He pointed at Volpsei, "yup, got him a few days ago, "he's so cute!" Said Bonnie, who reached out to pet him.
Ii jumped up onto the chair to look at Davaid's healing arm, which was quickly wrapped around my neck, "hey Ruby," whispered Davaid while Volpsei got acquainted with Ash's friends. He hugged me, petting me, and it felt good. I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder. Something about my trainer always made me feel safe when I was with him, I licked his cheek, and started to lightly doze off.
I jumped away from Bonnie, who was still petting me, and jumped on Davaid's lap. I barked at him to grab his attention, he scooped me up with one hand, and he started rubbing my cheeks while still petting Ruby. After being petted by Bonnie, I instantly started relaxing.
Ash had began explaining to me what hapened outside with Lucario, "is Pikachu alright at least?" I asked, I felt kind of stupid for asking that, "yeah, he's doing fine, just took a Bone Rush," he said. I smiled, "well, good luck on your Gym Battles," I said, as he ran off to check on his Pokemon, "got it!" He waved. Now I had a sleeping Houndoom... I picked her up, she was still snoozing, and my right arm didn't feel like hell when I picked her up. The Burn Heal worked.
After getting caught up with Ash and his friends, we headed outside of the Pokemon Center, and went to check out the Mega Stone mines. "Faster!" Said Volpsei, who was riding on my back, "now, now, we can't just run forward in this cavern," I said, but I did pick up the pace just for him. Davaid tripped over a rock, which quickly uncovered something shiny. Ruby had landed on his back, quickly woke up, and got off of him. She began to rub her against his, "Ruby, it's fine, it's just a little trip," he said, before sitting up, and rubbing his back.
I picked up the shiny object on the ground, it was orb-like with the double helix of a DNA strand. My eyes widened, it was a Mega Stone, "holy son of a b-" I stopped myself, remembering my company. I picked up the Stone, "we're gonna have to figure out which stone that is," said Snowy, we all turned around, and ran off to try and figure out exactly what we had just found.
"Looks like the twerp got us something valuable to steal."
