"Okay Volpsei, I want you to think about something, put some energy into it, and then direct it at Davaid," I instructed, he nodded. Davaid turned his head over, "Snowy, did you just teach Volpsei how to use telepathy?" Ask Davaid before grinning. I nodded, "well, now I'm gonna feel a little extra crazy" he joked, walking over to us, "hey Volpsei, here's the belly rub you wanted."

He soon scooped Volpsei into the air, and started tickling the little guy. Davaid shortly put him on the ground, "it's getting kinda late guys,"he then walked away to do his usual routine. Volpsei was out of breath from the tickling, it looked like he had a question, so I waited for him to gain the energy to ask.

Volpsei jumped up and down, "can I do that to anyone I want?" I shook my head, "I'm afraid not, we're not psychic types, and so we have a bit of trouble communicating with new people," he started frowning, "well, you could, it'd just take much more effort given our typing, but we can easily communicate with those we spend a lot of time with," he nodded, getting the idea.

We all started setting up our tents, well Ash and his friends did, I sold mine to the Pokemart. I never used it thanks to Snowy and Ruby being really being here for me, keeping me safe, and relatively warm. I laid down on the grass, resting my head on my arms, "you don't have a tent do you?" Asked Bonnie, "nope, don't worry about me though, it's no big deal," Ruby laid next to me, and laid her head on my chest. Not too long after, Snowy, Volpsei, and even Oasis gathered around me. Bonnie got the message before returning to her tent,

Davaid was putting a lot of trust in us, laying out in the open, with only me and the rest of his Pokemon to keep him safe. I could see why, I could tell that Snowy, despite her appearance, is multitudes stronger than she lets on. Ruby also looked like she could be pretty strong. Volpsei was just a cute, cuddly ball of fluff that kept him company, and he was was resting on top of Davaid's abdomen.

I started yawning after I laid down on my trainer's belly. He patted me on the head, "goodnight guys," he whispered, pulling his hat down over his eyes, and I snuck up to steal it again. Before I could, Davaid took it off, and put it on my head, before chuckling, "good night kiddo." He ruffled my fur before letting out a long breath, and shortly after started snoring.

I squeezed my way out of Ash's tent, I have een trying to talk to Snowy ever since we started traveling together. I knew she was ignoring me, probably annoyed at my constant advances. I wanted to hear stories from when she used to travel with her old trainer and battle. Judging from the short battle we had, she was probably experienced, and that experience had to come from somewhere right? I crawled over to the sleeping Pokemon Pile that was Davaid and his partners.

"I know you're there," said a weird voice, it reminded me of telepathy, and I assumed it was Snowy who said it. The Ninetales was still wide awake and staring at me, her tails were covering her trainer and the rest of her friends, "hey," I sat down in front of her, "what do you want?" I started telling her about how I'd wanted to hear stories from her previous journey.

This Pikachu wanted a story, I was almost tempted to tell him about Necromza and the wormholes incident, but then we'd both be here all night. It was probably best to tell him a nice short one, or one that was a bit more exciting… "how about my first Trial?" That got him to tilt his head, "what's a Trial?"

"A trial is kind of like a Pokemon Gym, except instead you do a little "Mission" for a trial captain, and then you fight a Pokemon that's a lot stronger than your average Pokemon called a Totem Pokemon," I briefly explained. He nodded, his eyes were full of wonder, "I still remember that first Trial like it was yesterday, I was still a Vulpix, and I had to help a pack of Lycanroc during it…"

I lazily woke up at the sound of Mom talking to somebody, Ash's Pikachu sat in front of her, while she told a story. I gently got down from Davaid's belly, to try and hear it a little bit better, "I was severely outmatched in turns of typing, Elizbeth and I were ready for that, and we got through the Mission like a piece of cake, but the Totem Pokemon gave us a ton of trouble."

"We both made it through the trial, but I was beaten to a pulp, my trainer didn't leave to get the Z-Crystal which would show that we completed the trial. She stayed by my side until the Trial Captain came by with medicine," I finished the story. I began smiling, "the trial captain gave Elizabeth the Totem Lycanroc as an added bonus for completing the trial," Volpsei was awake as well, listening to my tale, "the rest of my team is still at home, Davaid spent so much time with us, that I'm surprised he didn't become on-!"

Suddenly, out of habit, Davaid pulled me closer like I was a teddy bear, "old habits die hard huh?" Asked the Pikachu, who was trying not to laugh at my new predicament. I smiled, "this is just. Like when he was old enough to walk, he spent all of his time in my team's room, playing with us, or holding us," I twisted so I was facing Davaid, "I'd recommend you get back with your trainer, cherish every single moment with him," he nodded, before running back to Ash's tent.

Volpsei crawled backup Davaid's belly, yawned, and fell asleep. I smiled at the memories from only 40 years ago, my new trainer buried his face into my mane. I licked the top of his head, before closing my eyes, and started dreaming about those oh so amazing times.

Holy crap, I didn't expect this chapter to be this long, but hey! More to read right?
