I shot a Hydro Pump and the Liepard, who had just narrowly dodged it, I started hissing at it. I didn't care if I accidently hit its trainer either, he was the one attacking us! I could feel the air around me start heating up, I looked over and Ruby had transformed! The horns on her head were much longer, and pointed upward instead of towards her neck, that was all I could see, before having to dodge a Dark Pulse.

"Ruby, use Overheat! Oasis let's hit them with an Ice Beam!" Davaid was letting me have full reign as to what I'd do to Tyrantrum. Whether or not he gave me an order, I was more than capable of forming a strategy myself. Tyrantrum are Dragon and Rock if I could recall correctly. A Stone Edge wouldn't be fun if I got hit by one of those, but Ice Type moves would be more than enough to knock it out. I was also a Fairy Type, so Davaid must've put some thought into why he made me fight the Tyrantrum. It would also be quite slow, unless it decided to use Head Smash, so I could easily hit it without issue. I shot a Moonblast at it, and it made a direct hit.

Oasis had kited the Liepard with her Ice Beam, as soon as it landed back on the ground, I hit it with an Overheat, knocking it out cold. It also left a burn on it, I knew that wasn't going away anytime soon. The enemy grinded his teeth as he stared daggers at us, "you little brat! You think you're tough huh? Tyrantrum hit him with a Head Smash!" his confidence dropped when the Tyrantrum fell to the ground with Snowy sitting on top of him, she was grooming herself like ithe fight was nothing to her. He reached for his belt and pulled out another Pokeball, "I didn't think I'd have to use this, go Duclops!"

I grinned, this guy was pretty stupid, not only was he at a disadvantage, but he didn't think to bring a Water or Grass type to this battle, both of which could very easily make this fight turn out differently. Snowy sat on the downed Tyrantrum, "alright Ruby, let's hit him with a Dark Pulse!" In an instant, Dusclops was knocked out. The man returned his two Pokemon, then reached for his third Pokeball, only to realise that was his Tyrantrum's Pokeball, which he had given to me after I "bought" it earlier. He ran away, he abandoned it, he abandoned his Tyrantrum like a coward.

"Davaid, what do you want me to do with this Tyrantrum?" she asked, I left Volpsei out of my backpack, who looked confused as to why I forced him inside of it earlier. He tilted his head, "Davaid, what happened? "We had a bad guy attack us, he's gone now," I answered. I walked over to Snowy, who still had Tyrantrum pinned down. He was conscious again, but was weak from having to deal with Snowy. I crouched down, and started petting Snowy, "I dunno about what we should do about this guy," I rubbed Snowy's jawbone and praised her for her victory over Tyrantrum.

I turned my focus to Tyrantrum, who was struggling to get out from under Snowy, "now… Snowy, get up off of him, I have an idea," she nodded. Even after Tyrantrum was having a difficult time getting up. I got close to his head, it was risky, but I did it anyway. I started petting his jaw. At first he looked shocked, but started enjoying it. He leaned his huge head into my hand, and even started licking me. I smiled at him, he was actually a big old sweetheart, he just had an asshole of a trainer. I started thinking of a name while I patted him on the head, "how do you like the name Rexy?" At this point, my Pokemon, all except Volpsei, were looking at me like I was a crazy man.

I couldn't blame them either, I was being nice to our enemy, who had just tried killing us moments before. On top of that, I was taking him in! He nodded at his name, I pulled out a Potion and started spraying his injuries with it. He remained calm despite how it probably stung, and just like magic, he was able to get up without issue again, "well buddy, welcome to the family!"

I turned and tilted my head when I saw Mom and Ruby's reaction to Davaid helping out Rexy. He was just being nice to it, "I think Davaid's a bit crazy," said Oasis, "I think he's more than just a bit crazy," responded Mom. Ruby nodded, "even if he is crazy, he just made best friends with that thing."

I couldn't say that I expected Davaid to be nice to me after what I had just tried doing to him. I tried to help my old trainer hurt him and his friends, and he knew that. Yet here he was petting me, giving me a name, and even welcoming me to come with him! He is quite the trainer if I've ever met one, I licked his face repeatedly to thank him for his mercy.

"Davaid, did staying up all night drive you insane?" asked Snowy, I shook my head, "everyone has a bit of good inside of them Snowy, that good side might be dormant or small, but it's there," I responded, i finally stopped petting Rexy, "I don't think that kind of thinking is full proof," she said, before smiling, "but I like that thought," she added. She and the rest of my Pokemon walked up to greet our new friend properly this time.

I came up with the name "Rexy" from Jurassic Park, where the T-Rex in it was named Rexy. I think I know what I'm going to be doing with these "Special Chapters" . They'll mostly be shorter, and focused on Pokemon battles, or will be longer and might follow something that doesn't fit the main plot, but goes a bit into a character's past.

Anyways, I'm probably gonna be sleeping, I was up all night writing the last chapter(a Jurassic Visit) and this special one to get them both out at the same time. I hope you enjoyed the chapters, and I'll see you in the next one!
