I promise CHiz is only here a little.
4th is best old man
"A favour? My good sir… we certainly are friends and allies - but regardless, my favours don't come cheap. The premise?"
Chizuru Kagura had just finished a rather successful day. All her meetings had gone well. Stock was back on the rise. The unionization attempt had been squashed - sued into oblivion. The new liver cancer treatment was a 98% success rate, and was essentially printing money... And Nikaido had lost four million on their last attempt at shorting her. Chizuru didn't benefit when that unaffiliated hedge fund lost money - but she had a one-sided rivalry with that firm, and found herself greatly satisfied when they bet against her and lost.
So Yagami's esteemed Fourth Elder caught her at the right time. It was 6 pm and Chizuru was packing up to leave 3 hours earlier than she normally did. Everything was settled. Everything was going well. She was feeling friendly, and the Fourth was always a pleasant conservant.
He was also crafty, and was willing to assist her when she needed somebody disappeared. Of course, Iori could also do the job, but when he did he made sure everyone within a two block radius knew. The Fourth had people who could take care of things discreetly - something uniquely valuable to Chizuru's purposes.
So when the Fourth Elder called her, she was ready and willing to negotiate. She could play hardball - sure, but ultimately the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Refusal was a betrayal, and Chizuru couldn't afford to burn this bridge. She eased herself back into her office chair, crossed her legs, and gazed out her skyscraper window as the Fourth made his requests known.
*Ah, Ms. Kagura - It's nothing much. Nothing that would hurt you. In fact, I'm sure you would appreciate this information very much. It would be fantastic for Public Relations. United States Public Relations.*
That piqued her interest. The United States was her largest market, and she could always use a reputation boost with them… and if the Yakuza was paying for it? All the better.
"Interesting... go on."
*United States CIA Director's daughter has gotten into a bad car accident recently. The impact injured her lower spine - and surely she needs a rather expensive surgery only KP can perform. Her father is willing to do anything to save his daughter, and if KP is willing to transmit our request, the Yagami clan is willing to foot the bill.*
Chizuru furrowed her brow. Lumbar injuries were serious and if KP was going to handle it, they did not need other doctors poking around in this girl's spine beforehand. Time was of essence… why wasn't she contacted immediately? Surely the moment something like this happened to anyone with power, her private line immediately lit up.
She replied urgently.
"Fourth, when did this happen? We need to begin work immediately."
*Tomorrow. 4:30pm. Washington DC, Bloomingdale District.*
Ah… now things made sense. This was a hit. Not that she had any issues with it. It would never be traced back to her, and she'd gain clout with the CIA Director. Always helpful.
"...And your request?"
*Something small concerning an active CIA case. It will be nothing for the Director.*
Chizuru nodded.
"Four million."
*Deal. We'll wire the money now.*
OoOooo what's 4th planning?
