As soon as I woke up, I got ready to get out the door, "c'mon guys!" Ruby was very quick to get up, "good morning girl," I hugged her. She barked to try and wake everyone else up. Thankfully we had plenty of time until noon, so we could waste a little time. Volpsei jumped after Ruby's constant barking, he scampered around the room, getting Oasis to wake up as well. I walked over to the small kitchen, "I think we have enough time for some pancakes right?" I looked to my left and jumped. Snowy was sitting in the kitchen, like she had been sitting there the whole time, "I heard pancakes," I chuckled, ruffling the fur on her head, before going to make us all breakfast.
We didn't have a table to eat the pancakes, so we all sat on the floor to eat. I looked at the clock, it was 9:00AM, we had three hours to get to Lumiose tower. It was roughly a 30 minute walk if you started from any of the four major roads. I looked around, and everyone except Axl had eaten their food. In fact, he hadn't touched his dish!
I was hypnotized by the smell of the food, was I dreaming? Davaid had picked me up, then laid me in his lap, "hey buddy, are you not hungry?" my stomach started growling, he picked up a pancake off of my plate, and held it out in front of my face. Davaid was seriously hand feeding me! I took a bite out of the pancakes, my taste buds exploded, back when I lived in the Team Flare base, we were hardly even given food. Just enough to keep me and the other Pokemon from starving to death, then there was Davaid! I tried to kill him when we first met, yet he was feeding me.
On the counter was a stack of pancakes that were huge! I had already finished my plate after Davaid started hand feeding me. After I was done, he rubbed my belly, and let me off to my own devices. I tried to grab one of the pancakes on the counter, "Axl, those are for Rexy. he hasn't eaten anything since he's been in his Pokeball all night and morning." I hid my head under my paws, "if you're still hungry, I can make you something else. I don't think we have enough time for pancakes," I nodded. I wasn't even hungry, Davaid knelt down and moved my paws off of my head.
"Hey, don't feel bad for almost stealing pancakes, you didn't jump up on the counter and eat them all, right?" Axl shook his head. I lifted him up into the air, and started tickling him. Even though this very Pokemon had tried to kill me, he deserved to live a good life. I wasn't going to beat him for nearly stealing pancakes that weren't his, Axl just needed a little push in the right direction, and he could be one of the nicest Pokemon in the world. I settled my friend back on the ground to let him recoup from me tickling him.
As every second ticked by, I started bouncing with excitement, the clock was at 10:00AM! Just two more hours and I could take on the Lumiose Gym with Elizabeth like old times, except we weren't taking on totem Pokemon this time around. Davaid sat down next to me, and ruffled my fur again, "we're about to start heading out guys," hey got up to grab Rexy's plate, and we all started out the door.
I was let out of my Pokeball after we entered the lobby, which was more than enough room to let me stretch around. Sleeping inside of a tiny Pokeball was surprisingly comfortable, like somebody had taken a mattress, and made it huge! I lowered my head down to Davaid, who quickly started petting me, "so, how'd ya sleep Rexy?" I nearly knocked him over with my big tongue. I saw a plate of food in his hands, "can't go without breakfast, right?" He held them out for me. I licked him again to thank him, and dug in. after I was done, Davaid held my Pokeball out. I sighed, I wish I wasn't so big sometimes, then I could walk by my friends without much hassle.
The moment we stepped out the door, the same guy from yesterday came up, "hey! I've got the deal of the century! Ten thousand PD for one Ninetales!" I ignored him and kept walking. What did people like him not understand? My Pokemon were like a second family to me, and this guy thinks they're worth monetary value! I could easily get in trouble with the Police again if I punched this guy right in the nose. He stepped in front of me again, "you better take my offer, or my buddy's gonna rip you to shreds!" standing behind this asshole was another asshat. He looked like he was a Pokemon Trainer of sorts.
I urged Volpsei to stand behind me, while Snowy could probably send these guys flying, he was obviously still a baby. I wasn't going to take any chances with Volpsei getting hurt. His friend cracked his knuckles, then sent out a Salamence! It looked big and scary, it really did, but Snowy just sat and stared at it. She grinned, before probably telling its trainer to fuck off, "hey! Teach your stupid Pokemon some manners!" I shook my head, "she's already well mannered, you're the ones threatening me with a Salamence."
I had already told Elizabeth about our current situation, it wouldn't be long until she came by and completely demolished these two fools. You don't threaten my trainer and best friend, then expect to walk all over him. Davaid had called everyone except me and Ruby back into their Pokeballs, "fuck off," I told the Salamence's trainer, which got him pissed off, "teach your stupid Pokemon some manners!" I ignored the "stupid" part of that sentence, he and Davaid, well, mostly the trainer started yelling.
I saw my son getting threatened by a trainer with his Salamence, Snowy had a protect up over him. Probably to make it look like she wasn't capable of taking it on. I grabbed a Pokeball, and sent out a Lycranroc midday form. He saw what was happening to Davaid, "hey Rush, let's use a Continental Crush on that Salamence!" I tapped my Z-Crystal, and struck a pose. "Snowy! Keep that protect over Davaid and his Houndoom for me!" she looked back, and nodded. Davaid turned around and smiled, "hey Mom!" he turned around to watch the Z-move instantly knock out the Salamence.
"Now, step away from my son, or I'l press charges on you," I ran up to greet Mom, Snowy Ice Shard to scare off the scam artist, then followed me to greet her trainer. Mom stopped me and ruffled my hair, "Alola Davaid!" I grinned, "Alola Mom! That was awesome!" Rush pounced on me, and knocked me over. He was my Mom's Totem Lycranroc from her first trial! He started quickly licking my face while Snowy did the same to my Mom. i squirmed around, before finally being able to sit up, "Heya Rush, long time, no see!" he barked at me. After Snowy let Mom up, she turned to Ruby, "so you're the infamous Ruby I've been told about," she reached out, and my started to pet her head, "so Mom, why are you in Lumiose? You said you were going to take things slow when we arrived in Vaniville!"
I shrugged, "I couldn't help myself, the Gym Challenge sounded intriguing to me," Ruby had laid in my lap, and started licking my cheek. Davaid put his hands on his hips, "she already likes you!"
There was something about Davaid's mother that I already liked, she had Davaid's smell, and probably raised him to be the way he was. I assumed she had similar views as he did, minus Davaid not wanting to take part in Gym Battles like his Mom. i licked her face one more time, before going to greet Rush, he was huge! "Hello!" he was almost just like Snowy, scary as hell one moment, and then a sweety the next, "hey, I'm Ruby!" we both crouched to the ground, before playing with each other.
This Houndoom was Davaid's first Official Pokemon, a friend of his was a friend of mine, and it'd take an idiot to not realise that Ruby was his friend. She had a Mega Stone around her neck, just like Z-Moves, it required a special bond to use them. We started wrestling for fun, I was genuinely surprised by how strong she was given her smaller size. Ruby had actually managed to pin me down! Davaid knelt down, and patted us both on the head.
"So Davaid, how about I see the rest of your team?" asked Mom, "oh right! I know there's a battle field I can show you them in. Some of my Pokemon are a bit too big for the sidewalk," we eventually saw a park, Mom sent out her team, obviously Rush and Snowy were a part of it. She also had Smalg, a Hydreigon, Eniac, a Metagross, Gladi, a Silvally, and, Mushu, a Gyrados. Mom's entire team were a bunch of powerhouses, "hey guys!" they all cried at me.
I stepped back, and pulled out my own team's Pokeballs, Oasis, Rexy, Axl, Volpsei, Ruby, and then Snowy. We both shared her on our teams, since Snowy will follow orders from either of us. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get Mom's team to listen to me when it came to battling. Only Snowy and Rush had listened to me when it came to that stuff, "your looks like it's capable of taking on a lot of the Gyms in Kalos y'know," I shrugged, "Mom, you know I'd still rather not battle," she nodded, and ruffled my hair again.
"Now, how about we head to Lumiose tower, huh?" Mom recalled her team except for Snowy and Rush. I had Snowy's Pokeball, and Rush just prefered not being in a Pokeball. I returned everyone except Volpsei, Snowy and Ruby, and we all started walking to the heart of Lumiose City.
This chapter was by far the longest thing I've written. I think in the future I'll have special chapters for Elizabeth's Gym Battles, and snippets of her journey in Alola and Kalos. Anyways, thanks for reading, and thank you for the support. And I'll see you all in the next one!
