I crouched outside of Laverre Town, I let Ruby and Snowy out of their Pokeballs, and we all laid low in the grass. I pulled out my holo causter, "Ash, where are you and your friends right now?"a hologram of Ash sprouted out of the device, "we're hiding just outside of town," I nodded, "you and your friends stick together, if you see somebody in an orange-red suit, it's safe to probably take him on solo. If you see somebody in a white suit, solo him out, and gang up on him," he nodded. I got up, "alright you three, let's take this town back from Team Flare!"

I was lucky Eniac was the only one to get injured, it still stinked, that was the first battle I've lost in ages. Now I had Gladi and Smalg out and ready. I figured if my son was going to put up a stand, I was going to help him out. That lady's Houndoom was strong, I knew that much, and that I have never had to have more than one Pokemon out in a battle except for one Trial. One day I'll have my rematch against it, for now I need to take out as many of these guys as possible.

Now was the time for me to embrace a "talent" I've yet to touch, I even sent Volpsei out to take down some of these grunts. Despite how young he was, his sudden burst of energy and his raw strength made him a force to be reckoned with. In the distance I heard an explosion, like a Thunderbolt hitting its mark, Ash must've been putting some serious work in. Rush and Snowy's chemistry in a battle was close to unmatched, taking down several grunts at once, "Ruby use a flamethrower!" and with that, another grunt's Pokemon fell.

Pikachu and I just took down another grunt's Pokemon, we were having little to no struggle with them. What scared me would be those people in white suits. One of them apparently brought down Davaid's mother in a battle… and she was one of the toughest trainers I've seen in awhile, "Pikachu!" my partner pointed towards the Pokeball Factory, which was much more heavily guarded in comparison to the rest of town.

Gladi swiftly defeated another grunt's team, as long as I didn't run into that one lady again, I would be more than fine. The only issue was, how long was it until my Pokemon tired out? I had Mushu and Smalg, who were the only two other Pokemon with me that were in a good enough state for a fight. It was almost a double edged sword letting Rush travel with Davaid for awhile, in this mess, Davaid would have more of a fighting chance, but I'd have less options during all of this. Thankfully the RKS System made Gladi versatile enough to make up for that for now... In front of me was probably one of the admins, he was wearing a white suit, and he cracked his knuckles.

"I recommend you leave again, or your Pokemon will be a lot more injured than the last time you fought us," he threw out a Liepard… this group seemed to mostly used Dark and Poison types from the looks of it. Gladi stepped forward after I handed him a Fighting Memory, making him a fighting type, "now hit them with a Focus Blast!" and just like that, the Liepard was knocked out… that meant the lady and her Houndoom were the biggest threats to us right now. If she didn't plan on overwhelming us again, I knew Smalg or Rush could take her on. Things weren't going so well anymore, Gladdi had already started getting tired, I pulled him closer. He looked up at me with sorry eyes, "hey bud, don't look at me like that, you did more than enough work," he smiled at me. I let Smalg out of his Pokeball once more, "okay Smalg, I need you to take over the battling for Gladi for the time being, okay?"

I returned the Silvally, he deserved a huge bowl of ice cream after all of this; all of my Pokemon deserved at least that for the work they're putting in for me.

Things were just not going well, Volpsei had just got knocked out by one of the White Suit guys' Mightyena, I quickly ran in to protect my friend, after seeing her son get knocked out cold, Snowy immediately ripped out the Pokemon's throat, and pounced on its trainer… not once have I've seen her that mad. Rush acted like this was normal, had she done something like that in the past when somebody close to her got injured?

I turned Volpsei over, he shortly woke up, and he weakly smiled at me, "did I do a good job?" he asked, looking for approval, "you didn't just do a good job, you did an amazing job," Volpsei grinned, and tried to get out of my arms, but I wouldn't let him, "Volpsei, you're not getting out of my arms until I get your injuries healed up," I pulled out a Full Restore, it costed a pretty penny, but it was the best medicine I had on me. Snowy ran over and licked Volpsei's scrapes. The trainer's head, who she had pounced on, was a solid block of ice, he was definitely not waking up from that.

After I saw the Mightyena knock out my child, an unyielding amount of hatred flooded my body, my only goal was to make these two pay, and they were going to pay dearly. I didn't even blame Davaid, Volpsei ran in because he wanted to help me and Rush in the battle. I quickly dealt with the Mightyena, ripping its jugular out, and immediately going to work on its trainer. I clawed and bit at whatever I could reach, and put all that hatred into an Ice Beam, he was dead long before I hit him with that Ice Beam.

I licked Volpsei's wounds while Davaid rubbed a Full Restore all over him, "you did an amazing job," said my trainer. He had finished applying the medicine to him. I licked Davaid's face for taking care of my son, "Volpsei, don't hop into battles like that, you could get yourself killed," I told him in a calm voice. He didn't deserve to be yelled at, after having done some serious work to that Mightyena before getting knocked out. His ears laid flat against his head while Davaid rocked him back and forth,

My injuries had already healed, Mom and Davaid were being overprotective, but I didn't mind that. I loved being in my trainer's lap already, and loved Mom already. I felt Davaid's hand caress my cheeks, "Volpsei, don't hop into battles like that," I lowered my head when Mom told me that, I knew she wanted my well being first and foremost for me. I couldn't be mad at her for that, she proved she wasn't angry at me by licking my face, "just promise me you'll let me and Rush take the battles from here," I nodded. I couldn't bear to see her distressed like she was right now.

This wasn't even the first time I've seen Snowy completely lose it in a battle before, she loved fighting, as long as it was just a friendly one. Hell, Elizabeth's entire team loved it, but Snowy always lashed out at people that were bad and had done something to somebody she cared for. She nearly ripped out a mugger's throat out for trying to rob Davaid back in Alola, back when he was too young to remember it. I walked up to comfort the baby Ninetales while Ruby kept watch for any other incoming Team Flare members.

Smalg blown through the Pokeball Factory's doors, "hey Mrs. Hyles!" said Ash, he and his group ran into the building, not long after Davaid ran in. One of his Pokemon was in his arms, it was Volpsei, and Snowy was at Davaid's side. Her paws and mouth looked like they've just been used to kill somebody… I could already paint the picture if I had a canvas, that baby Ninetales must be very important to Snowy if she killed somebody for him.

We all walked into the Pokeball Factory's CEO, who was refusing to hand something over to one of the admins. Without hesitation, Snowy used Confuse Ray to slow down the admin, then quickly knocked him out with a Shadow Ball, "oh thank goodness! Team Flare has been holding me hostage for days now!" he relaxed back into his chair like it's been the first time he could relax in years. He then quickly grabbed the nearby phone, and called the Police. I looked out his window, most of the grunts had escaped, but the few that were stuck in the Factory would likely be in jail for an act of terrorisim.

I had finally been set on the ground to walk around, whatever Davaid rubbed all over me worked like a charm, it was almost like I've never been injured to begin with. I happily skilled and jumped as high as I could into the air. Now was the time to celebrate our victory over Team Flare. Taking what I learnt from Vulcan Village about cheering everyone up, so I went around the room licking everyone's faces, and happily yipping. Davaid caught me mid air, "hey, Volpsei's got the right idea, once everyone's recouped, we should throw a party!" that was something everybody could agree on.
