I took a step into Hourner City, people with Houndoom and Houndour walked up and down the streets, there were a few strays here and there, but all of them looked well fed. Ruby hopped and skipped by my side, I looked around, a bus stopped, and people started flowing out. Snowy was keeping Volpsei on a very tight leash, each time he tried running off, she'd pull him back with telekinesis. A trainer with a shiny Houndoom walked up to us, "hello sir, how much for that Houndoom, Mega Stone included?" this guy could not be serious, I pinched my temples, "look pal, I dunno what the hell goes on in your mind, but my best friend isn't for sale."

The Houndoom that had walked up to us with his trainer had been eying me, before taking a step, "hey babe…" he was trying to sweep me off my feet. I turned my eyes to Snowy and we both rolled our eyes. The Ninetales turned over to Volpsei, "if you go about looking for a mate like that, I'm going to lash you," she said jokingly. The shiny Houndoom made an advancement while Davaid and its trainer argued, "c'mon, you know you'd like a guy like me," Snowy stepped forward, "hey buddy, stop harassing my friend, or I'm throwing you into traffic."

He began laughing like he just heard the best joke in his life, "of please, what do you, a Ninetales expect to do to me?" I looked around and saw an empty flower pot, "as I said, I'll throw you in traffic," the Houndoom kept on laughing, "yo, get your Houndoom off of mine, or a fight's gonna break out," said its trainer, "you heard him, back off-" I was just about to throw the flower pot into his head, but Davaid turned to us, "let's leave this guy, his Houndoom's giving Ruby some weird looks."

Mom still kept me from running off, "c'mon Mom! I wanna meet some people!" I complained, "no, you'll get yourself lost," she pulled me in, and laid her head on mine, "and I'll get worried sick," with that I stopped trying to get away. I noticed behind us that the trainer with the blue Houndoom was following us, "okay, okay I'll stop running," she smiled, licked my cheek, and kept on walking. I ran up in front of Davaid, got on my hind legs, and barked at him a couple of times. He picked me up, "you're too cute for your own good," he tickled me for a couple a couple a seconds, "hey bud, I wasn't done negotiating with you!" he sighed, "can't I just enjoy some time with my Pokemon for a couple of seconds?" he settled me back on the ground.

I swear, this guy does not understand when to just stop, "look, listen, and pay your full attention. My Pokemon are my best friends, and you're asking me to sell one of them to you. Does that sound right to think that my friends have monetary value?" the trainer pulled out what looked to be about one hundred thousand PD, "I'll give all of this, plus a coupon to the nearest Houndoom store, for your Houndoom and its Mega Stone," the offer was very tempting, but I stuck up my middle finger, "I'm. Not. Selling. My. Friend," I picked up Ruby, "now, get the hell outta here, or I won't stop Snowy from throwing you in front of a speeding bus."

"C'mon, once my trainer hashes out a deal with yours, we can be together," he tried sticking his paw on my shoulder, which I quickly took a step back, "I don't want to be your damned mate. How hard is it to get that?" I sighed, Snowy stepped in front of me again, "what did I say about harassing my friend?" I used my telekinesis to take the flower pot from earlier, and hit him in the back of the head, knocking him out. The trainer began panicking while Davaid picked up Ruby, "hey Ruby, did that Houndoom mess with you in any way?"

I couldn't but notice just how uncomfortable my best friend looked around that shiny Houndoom, Ruby nodded, "he tried making advancements on her," said Snowy I nodded. I took a deep breath while pinching my temples, "that Houndoom needs to know how to treat a lady," I positioned Ruby so her back was to the ground, and started rubbing her belly. I at least got some idea of why that trainer was trying so hard to buy her off of me, other than the fact that she looked pretty strong by just glancing at her, and she had a very valuable item around her neck. Ruby started howling while I rubbed her belly.

I honestly loved it whenever Davaid rubbed my belly, it felt good, and it nearly made me forget of that Houndoom from earlier. My trainer repositioned me in his arms, so I can lay my head on his shoulders, "hey auntie, are you doing alright?" Volpsei was looking me dead in the eyes, he saw me as an aunt? "I'm fine Volpsei, don't worry, he didn't try mounting me or anything," I started relaxing in Davaid's arms when he started rubbing my cheeks, "hey, a Pokemon Center!" we walked inside, then Davaid did the usual "leave us in the lounge while he bought travel supplies" before doing that however, he put me on the couch and looked me in the eyes.

"If you want, I can carry you in the Pokemon Center so you'll be left alone," I shook my head, I licked his face for being concerned for my safety, and barked. Davaid nodded before patting me on the head, he handed us all a toy, then started off to get us supplies. Volpsei and Snowy played Tug of War while Axl simply went to sleep, and I simply gnawed on the bone Davaid gave me. A Houndoom sat down next to me, hello!" I turned to study them, it was a male, "hey there," he laid down, "are you waiting for your trainer?" I nodded, "my name's Doomy! My trainer and I are here from Johto to sell some stuff from our farm. He just needs to get a permit from the farmer's market."

Doomy started sniffing me, so I started sniffing him, most Pokemon with a strong sense of smell can find out a lot about another person with just smell alone. He smelled nice, he nosed the Houndoomite around my neck, "you must really love your trainer huh?" I nodded, then went back to gnawing my bone. We were both silent for several minutes, before I accidentally laid my head on his shoulder, 'whoops!" I jumped, "hey it's fine, I catch myself accidentally rolling on other people sometimes," he chuckled, "nothing's wrong with doing that either, accidents are accidents, right?"

Eventually Doomy did have to run off to his trainer, "you liked him, didn't you," said Snowy, who booped my nose, "hey! That's not true!" she giggled, "then why are your cheeks warming up?" I sighed, she sat up next to me, "y'know, he actually doesn't seem that bad," she put her paw on my back, "but if we stayed together, then one of us would have to leave our trainer behind," I added. I sighed, "besides, my main priority isn't finding a mate," I started gnawing my bone again. She and I left that topic there. She laid on top of me though, "you make for a good pillow."

I stared at Davaid from a cliff that loomed over the City he was in, "you can't be serious, you want to be a human's trainer?" asked my younger brother, "well, what else do I have to do?" I sat down in my Hero of Many Battles Form. i turned to him, "take care little brother," I jumped down the cliff, and started running for the town. Zamazenta jumped in front of me, "are you crazy? You'll get seen the moment you step into town!" he sighed, "if you're going to travel with him, wait until he leaves town to meet him," I hated admitting that my younger sibling was right. I sighed, "fine, I shall wait here."

Now, there has been a review asking for a sequel with just Snowy and Volpsei after Davaid and Elizabeth have passed away. I'm already working on something, but it won't come out until I'm 100% happy with the first for it, which I am, so it should be out by the time you're reading this. When it does come out, this story will still keep going, it's far from over. Anyways, thanks for reading and I'll see you later!

One more thing, BadStories had a question about the Pokeball prototype I described in the Pokeball Factory tour. I was gonna answer this last chapter in an A/N, but I forgot. In the Pokemon Movie involving Celebi, I think it was Pokemon 4ever or something, where a younger version of Professor Oak(Sammuel) uses a Pokeball that was very similar to what I described.
