I lifted Snowy off the couch, then settled her in my lap, "hey girl," I hugged her while watching the T.V. Ruby jumped up beside me, then laid her head on my side, I reclined back. These two made everything very calming, and I loved it. Axl jumped up beside me and barked several times, "what is it boy?" Snowy got up off my lap, "he wants to lay on your lap," said Snowy, before laying her head on Ruby. The Mightyena laid down on top of me, I was reminded of just how big he was. He was still a big fluffy ball that wanted attention, so I patted his head while he began to doze off.

I reached over and grabbed a few things for Davaid, a map of Hourner City, a brochure, and laid my head back down on Ruby's back. On the news flashed a picture of Elizabeth, she had her eighth Gym badge sewed into a hand knitted scarf, Davaid and I grinned, she only had to wait a few months for the tournament! Every fiber in my body shivered, I would be fighting by her side when that happens, and I'll help live her dream. Axl rolled over in his little nap, he was enjoying Davaid's belly rubs a bit too much.

I was just about to get up to head to the front desk to book a room, until the same guy from earlier stepped in front of me, "what the hell do you want now?" he extended his arm out, "my name is Rowler, and I'm still looking to see if you'll sell me that Houndoom of yours," if it weren't for the fact that we were in a hospital, his nose would be broken by now. How hard was it to just… understand the word "no?" I sighed, "hey Axl, can you move for a second," he nodded, and jumped off. The Mightyena locked eyes onto the asshole, while I pulled Ruby onto my lap.

I sighed when I saw his damn Houndoom next to him, he had a few bandages wrapped around his head, it was tight where Snowy had hit him in the head with that pot. Despite the fact that he was injured, he still kept his tough guy look, "hey Houndoom, maybe to help sweeten the deal…we take one of his Pokemon?" it nodded, before lunging and pinning down Volpsei, "hey! No fighting in the Pokemon Center!" yelled Nurse Joy, she walked over, and bodily removed the Houndoom off of him.

I felt dizzy after getting pinned down, Mom would probably chase after that Houndoom and kill him if I wasn't somewhat dazed. She started licking my face while Nurse Joy started checking to see if I was hurt. Davaid petted me, "hey buddy," he picked me up, and settled him on his lap. He looked like he was about to kill somebody, he looked up at Rowler, "what the absolute fuck is wrong with you?"

This guy might as well have punched a baby and kept it hostage, he had his Pokemon pin down a very young Ninetales, just to make me want to negotiate? I pinched my temples, "seriously, what the ever living fuck goes on inside your head?" he was lucky Volpsei needed the attention, or I swear Snowy and I would have beaten the shit out of him until he bled. Nurse Joy put on a small smile, "he's not too injured, just a bit dazed, and a tiny bit bruised. I would recommend carrying him so he doesn't trip while he's dizzy," I nodded, "thanks Nurse Joy, can you get security to remove that guy and his Houndoom for me? He's been following me ever since he laid eyes on Ruby."

Even I was pissed off, this trainer wanted to buy me, which in itself is pretty dumb seeing as he was Davaid denied him twice already. He then attacked a child of all people! Shortly after Davaid had asked Nurse Joy to remove Rowly and his piece of shit Houndoom, a couple of guards walked in, then started shoving the two of them outside the building. I sat down next to Snowy, "you shouldn't go after them, scumbags like that aren't worth the time of day, or the space they take up," said Snowy. For once she was the voice of reasoning, "it's alright buddy, we're gonna get a room so you can lay down," said Davaid, who was still caressing the Volpsei's cheeks.

I recalled Axl, who was following Rowler out the door, probably trying to get even. I picked up the dizzy Ninetales, he squirmed around in my arms until his belly face towards me. I knew what he wanted, so I started scratching his belly, and his tongue started hanging out. He was so cute! He pawed at my face gently, and started snoring right afterwards, "rest tight kiddo," I hugged the little fella while Nurse Joy opened the door, mumbling about how Pokemon aren't worth all the money in the world.

Davaid settled me on the bed, while pulling the covers over me, and laying his head close to mine. Mom quickly threw the covers off of us, before laying her tails over me and Davaid. Mostly me, I felt her tails getting colder to help my bruise recover faster. I moved some of my tails over Davaid, then turned up my body heat to keep Mom's tails from freezing him, "hey boy, no need to worry about me being a bit cold under Snowy's tails," he pulled me closer to him, and I embraced the hug. Before I knew it, I was already asleep.

I laid my head on Davaid's shoulder, then kicked up my body heat. I could feel how cold Snowy's tails were from the other side of the bed, and that could probably give him a frost burn. I pawed the Alolan Ninetales on the back, "hey Snowy, I think your tails are a bit cold. Davaid's shivering under your tails, "oh!" I felt the tails over Davaid slowly warm up, "thanks Snowy," he said, before yawning. The warmth of me cuddling up on top of him was quickly making him sleepy. I moved my head on top of his face, and that sealed the deal. He started snoring, then I grinned. I licked his face goodnight before hitting the hay.

I took a deep breath, then pulled Volpsei closer to me, laying his head on my chest, and wrapped more of my tails around him. I got comfortable, then started cleaning the tuft of fur on his head, and started cleaning his ears as well. While he was too big to be carried around by me, he'd never be too big for me to not be my child, and he never will. I licked the last piece of dirt out of his ears, then I laid my head down. I closed my eyes, let out a long, deep breath, and fell asleep with my son in my grasp.
