I got up off the ground when the cops showed up, "so this is what's been running around?" the officer crouched down in front of the Charizard, and he poked it a couple of times with his baton. I crouched beside him, "so, what's gonna happen to him?" the policeman shrugged, "he didn't kill anything, so we can't put him down." he reached down to pet it, but it growled at him like it growled at me. The officer sighed, "think we might lock him up if we can't get it to stop growling at everyone," he got up, "can you stay with him until we get a cage to put him in?" I nodded. With that officer got in his car, and left.

I looked away from Zacian for a second to see Volpsei pawing at the Charizard's face. In an instant Snowy was right beside him, in case he accidentally got one of the ropes loose. I walked over to to them, then knelt down beside Volpsei. I picked him up then settled him in my lap, "heya buddy," I greeted while rubbing his jaw. The Ninetales yawned, I didn't blame him, it was 1:00 in the morning, and we hadn't gone to sleep while trying to be on the look out for this Charizard. Snowy pawed my leg, "go sleep, you need the rest."

Snowy then used her telekinesis, to lay me against Zacian's side, settled Volpsei beside me, and then laid her tails over the two of us. She then laid her head on my chest, her eyes were locked on the Charizard, and she yawned. I pulled her closer to me, "hey girl, you need some rest too," she reluctantly took her eyes off of Charizard, then closed her eyes. Shortly after, she started snoring, "g'night girl," I patted her side, and wrapped an arm around her.

I padded over Zacian's sleeping body, then slid down next to Davaid, "oh, hey Ruby!" he said, he reached out, and started petting me. One deep breath, I laid down directly on top of my trainer, and sighed. It was too late at night for this, I yawned again, and went to sleep.

"Psst, kid," my ears tiwtched, "hey, you stupid Ninetales!" Volpsei drowsily lifted his head up, then face the Charizard. He got up, stretched, then started scratching at an itch, "set me free!" Volpsei stopped scratching, and stared at him. He titled his head, "why should I?" his tone sounded much more serious than he did yesterday. There was less of a "child's innocence" in his voice, just calm, cold, and serious, "I'll be your best friend!" said Charizard, hoping that would convince the Ninetales. Volpsei got up, then padded over to the tied Pokemon, then settled his paw.

"I saw what you tried doing to Davaid yesterday, you don't get the nice little puppy me, you're getting pissed the hell off me instead," said the Ninetales. What was with these two Ninetales being threatening as demons? He looked me dead in the eyes, "if it weren't for the fact that the Police are coming to retrieve you, you'd be dead by now, keep that in mind" I was taken aback by just how much anger was in his voice. I had nearly whimpered in fear at a baby of all things!

I scoffed while the Charizard retracted, then remained quiet after I scared him. Who knew imitating Mom worked well for scaring Pokemon? Well, it wasn't mostly just imitation, I was mad at this Charizard, attacking my family, and having the audacity to try acting like I'm buddy-buddy with him! I growled at the Charizard, which made him broke, he was whimpering, "please don't kill me!" Davaid woke up at the sound of the Charizard's constant whimpers, "jeez Volpsei, I didn't know you could be as scary as Snowy!"

Just like that, Volpsei went from acting like an angry Ninetales, who had its tails pulled, he yipped like a pup, and laid in my lap. I chuckled, "back to the cute little pup you are, huh?" he nodded, then rubbed his head against my cheek. That did get me thinking, if Volpsei was hiding a side of him that could instill fear into that Charizard of all things, what else was he hiding? Maybe he wasn't hiding it, and it was just natural for Ninetales to be really scary when they needed to be. Either way, he was straight back to being a happy little Ninetales again.

I turned to the scared Charizard, he looked like a Pokemon that was cornered, and lost the fight for its way out. Volpsei was staring at me, "you feel bad for him don't you?" I turned my head, Snowy had just woken up, and was walking towards us. I nodded, "I think you and Volpsei scared him a little too much," she nodded, "well, it's that, or he'll try getting out and attack us again."

I took a seat next to the Charizard, then took his head out of the ropes. All that did was scare him even more, so I moved it onto my lap. His eyes darted all over the place, making sure Snowy nor Volpsei would pounce on him, "heya buddy," his eyes locked on me. Instead of fear was bewilderment. They looked like they were trying to seize an opportunity to get out, but the rest of his body was still tied down. He looked around and saw Volpsei and Snowy still staring at him. The Charizard reverted back to his eyes shuttered, then buried himself under my arm.

Suddenly he remembered what he just buried himself in, and sighed. He moved his head to my lap, I started petting him, which made him relax. After being satisfied with him not shivering in fear, I moved his head, and got up to make my Pokemon breakfast. I sat down, then pulled out the pancake mix, I let everyone back out of their Pokeballs now that there was no threat. Axl stretched and yawned while I got the pan ready. Oasis slithered around, then laid out in the sun.

After I started cooking, I figured I could leave the pan for a couple minutes, and I walked over to Ruby, who still was out like a light. I picked her up, then walked over to the makeshift stove. I laid her in my lap, and took the spatula. I took out six plates, flipped a pancake, and then took out a seventh and eighth plate. Now that Rexy wasn't travelling with us, I wouldn't need to make a four foot tall stack, but now I was cooking for eight, myself included.

I put the last pancake on my plate, each place except mine had four pancakes, and mine had two. I had ran out of pancake mix, so I shrugged, and gave everyone their plates. Without hesitation, my five usual Pokemon started digging in, Charizard just stared at it, while Zacian tilted her head. I patted Zacian's head, then held a pancake for her, "c'mon girl, it's food," she took a bite, then her pupils widened. She quickly started digging into her plate, I think she just found her favorite food.

I crouched in front of Charizard, "hey bud, go ahead and eat," I picked one up, then brought it up to his mouth. He started sniffing it, then looked at me, "go on," he took a bite, then calmly finished the pancake in my head. I pushed the plate closer to him. Charizard started digging in, so I walked away to start on my dish.

Just as I took a bite, Charizard managed to free himself, then landed right in front of me. There was no sign of aggression, he just stared into my eyes, "uh… heya," he then rubbed his head against my cheek. He then sat down, "uh…" I had no clue if he was setting me up, so he could kill me or not. Snowy sat down next to me, then stared right into its eyes.

"You attack him, or even attempt to, I'm ripping your wings off, and then I'm gonna force them down your throat," I threatened. He nodded, "I don't wanna hurt him this time I swear!" He closed his wings in an effort to hide them. Davaid just looked confused, "he could get out the whole time?" were his thoughts. He slowly took another bite out of his pancake, then handed me his second pancake.

I put my claw on his shoulder, licked his face, and then took off. Maybe one day I'll find him again, he was at least a decent person… for a human. From this point on, maybe I should give the humans a chance before attacking them and their team.

I honestly don't know what to say, "looks like the police officer won't be retrieving him today," said Snowy while she took a bite of the pancake I handed her. Hopefully we wouldn't get in trouble for letting him get away.
