"Hey it's Davaid!" said a voice from behind me, "oh, hey Ash," he extended his arm out, and I shook it, "so, how's it going?" I asked, "I'm doing great! I'm just about to head to Snowbelle City, wanna come?" I debated about it for a couple of seconds, "well. I guess I'll come along," not long after Ash's friends ran in holding ice cream, "Ash what are you do-" they stopped when they saw me holding a fully grown Mightyena like it was a puppy, "oh, hey Davaid!" greeted Bonnie, "hey," Axl jumped out of my arms, then sat down next to me.

Ash peeked over at Snowy, "I see Snowy's still looking as strong as ever!" Pikachu jumped down from his shoulders, and then waddled over to Ruby. its eyes were caught by the Mega Stone around its neck, "Pika! Pika!" it said while pointing at its collar, "hey Davaid, have you gotten into battling?" I shook my head, "Ruby and I were given that by the professor," I knelt down, then lifted her off the ground, "so, when are we heading out of Anistar?" Ruby was already asleep in my arms, "we're just about to head out."

"So where are we heading?" I shivered when I heard Ruby snore in my arms, "we're heading to Couriway Town for Serena's next Pokemon Showcase," said Clemont while pushing his glasses up. I nodded, even though I had no clue as to what that is. Ash's Pikachu was trying to escape Volpsei during a game of tag while we walked along, only to be outpaced by the Ninetale's much larger strides. I rolled my eyes while the Pikachu did its best to get out from Volpsei's grasp. One thing was for sure, Volpsei was getting faster if he could keep up with that Pikachu.

While we were taking a break so everyone could rest up from walking, I watched while Serena brushed her Braxian. Ruby lifted her head out from my elbow, yawned, then looked around, "mornin' sunshine," I said while patting her head. Only now I had just realized how messy her fur is, so I grabbed a brush out of my bag, and let Ruby sniff it. I usually used this brush to keep Snowy and Volpsei's fur nice and neat. Ninetales usually liked their fur that way, but what about a Houndoom?

I stroked the top of Ruby's head with it, which started making her relax, "you aren't doing it right," said Bonnie, who sat down next to me, "and… how am I doing it wrong?" I kept brushing Ruby, who seemed to like getting brushed a lot more than I expected. Bonnie pointed over at Serena again, "see how she's doing it?" I shook my head, "no, not really. If it gets the job done, and it doesn't make my friend uncomfortable, I don't care about how I do it," Snowy then pawed me, "yeah girl?" she pointed at the brush, "may I go next?" I shrugged, "I might as well brush you while I'm at it."

Bonnie reached over to pet Snowy, who then moved out of her arm's reach, "alright, Ruby's brushed and pretty looking," I said jokingly after setting her on the ground. The Houndoom rolled her eyes and barked. Snowy jumped up onto my lap, then closed her eyes, and got ready to get brushed. Bonnie pouted at the thought of Snowy not wanting to be petted by her. Volpsei stopped for a second, but when Bonnie reached to pet him, he kept on running, "he let me pet him when he was a Vulpix."

I just ignored Bonnie while I brushed Snowy's tails, being extra careful not to accidentally tug on one on them with the brush. I looked up for a split second to see Ruby rolling in the dirt while wrestling Volpsei, "looks like all of that grooming was for nothing," joked Snowy, "yep, no big deal though, she just had a bedhead," I said while I moved to her next tail. I accidentally caught the brush on tangled fur, which caused her to wince.

"Oh shit! I'm sorry!" I froze still when Snowy turned to face me, she glared at me for several seconds. I was genuinely scared of what she'd do to me, "Davaid, you just pulled on my tails..." I closed my eyes and embraced to get cursed, "you know what that means, don't you?" I nodded, but kept my eyes closed. Suddenly I felt a tongue caress my face, "I wouldn't curse you, silly," she rubbed her head, "it was a mistake, we all make them," I sighed in relief and hugged her, "sorry for tugging on your tail," I said while she licked my tears away.

"Davaid, you know I wouldn't hurt you," she kept licking my face until all my tears were dried away, "you're good at acting," Snowy rolled her eyes. She stopped licking my face, and I grabbed the brush again to continue my work. After she had been brushed, I laid my head on her back and Ash patted me on the back, "we're going to get moving again," he said before getting up to catch up with his friends.

Without hesitation, I got up with Snowy still in my arms, and ran to catch up as well. I could hear water running, Couriway Town was in sight.
