I sat down in my hotel room, "alright… the best part of the day, the time where we can just relax," I put my bag beside the door while my Pokemon got settled. It was feeling a bit lighter, I'd probably have to refill on supplies. Snowy stared out the window while everyone else was laying down, and getting ready to sleep. I sat down beside her, then reached out to pet her again, "Davaid, don't even try it," I sighed, then retracted my arm, "Snowy, you're usually not this pissed off," she gave me the same face she made when I accidentally tugged on her tails. Snowy definitely wasn't in the mood for me talking to her. I got up to go cuddle up with Ruby for the night.
I hugged Ruby's sleeping body, then sighed, "you do know why I am mad at you, correct?" Snowy was right in my face, "is it because I tugged on your tails while brushing you?" she shook her head, "while that may have some part of it, I'm just not happy with how you're being lately," I sighed, Snowy was either going to scold me, or probably freeze me alive, "you nearly got us in trouble with the police by nearly letting the Charizard fly away, you're pretty damn stupid" she was definitely pised off at me, "look, I know I'm an idiot, I know that better than anyone," Snowy growled at me, then climbed up onto the other bed where Volpsei was, and laid down.
I laid awake all night, the time ticked and ticked, but it felt like time was frozen. I buried my face deeper into Ruby's fur, "goodnight, I guess," I knew everyone was already asleep, there was no point in me saying that. I thought about what Snowy said, she was right, I am stupid. I stared out the window, the night sky teased me with endless opportunities to be something better than I already was. I felt my eyes droop multiple times, but I still didn't go to sleep. My brain wouldn't let me, now matter how much I tried to sleep. Now I got to live with the fact that Snowy probably hated me now.
I groaned when I saw the sun rising in the east, it was already morning, and I didn't sleep at all. I got up to make everyone's breakfast. So when they woke up they could just eat, I wasn't in the mood for cooking, so I just poured regular old Pokemon food into everyone's bowls, then put some plastic wrap over them. I walked back over to the bedroom, then stared at Snowy, I wanted to pet her, but she'd probably rip my arm off if I did with how she feels about me right now. Instead of just sitting around, I wrote a note for my Pokemon, then stepped out the door to go on a walk.
After Davaid had stepped out to go on a walk, his Pokemon slowly started waking up one by one. The first one up was Ruby, she looked around, and realised Davaid was nowhere to be found. The Houndoom got up, then nudged Snowy awake, "Snowy, wake up," the Ninetales raised her head, then yawned, "yeah Ruby?" Ruby pointed at where Davaid was sleeping, "he's gone missing," Snowy rolled her eyes, "probably getting some extra supplies from the Pokemart, there's nothing to worry about."
I walked all over town before I finally figured it was time to head back to the hotel room. The sun was a little higher up in the sky, my watch said it was roughly 7:30AM. I was so tired that I couldn't feel my legs, or any of my muscles for that matter. I stumbled around, wanting to get some rest in my hotel room. Luckily everyone inside the Pokemon Center's lobby didn't notice me running to my room. I pulled out my room key, then unlocked the door. Everyone was already eating the food I set out for them, "Davaid! You look like you haven't slept!" said Snowy, who ran up to catch me, when I fell flat on my face. I finally got some rest.
"Davaid!" barked Ruby, she helped carry him over to the bed, "why is he so tired? I thought he went to sleep shortly after I did!" I shrugged, "I don't know, but we should keep watch over him," the rest of the Pokemon in the room came to see if Davaid was alright, "Mom, what happened to Davaid? "I don't know, Volpsei," after a few short minutes, he started coming back around. He grunted, "oh hey guys."
I almost instinctively reached out to pet Snowy again, but retracted my arm. She probably still didn't want me anywhere near her, so I reached over to Ruby, who immediately started washing her tongue, "good morning girl," she laid down while she saved me having to wash my face, "Davaid, did you even get any rest last night?" I shook my head, "I don't know why I didn't sleep, I just didn't, Snowy," she slapped me with her paw, "you need rest, you're just a child!" she laid down next to me, and laid her head in my armpit, "sorry about yelling at you last night," I hugged both Ruby and Snowy while they kept me company.
After a few moments of relaxing, Volpsei jumped up on the bed, and stole my hat. I chuckled, jumped up, and pinned him. The Ninetales giggled while he was under my grasp, "good morning boy," I scratched his belly while he squirmed around, and then I picked him up. I retrieved my hat from out of his jaws, then used my thumb to wipe off some crumbs from his cheek. He yipped and barked in my arms, before trying to snatch my hat back, "you're a crazy little guy, aren't ya," I grabbed my sunhat, and gave it to him. After Volpsei was satisfied with that, I let him out of my arms so he could play around.
"Good morning Davaid," said Zacian, who climbed up on the bed, and was now crushing my lap, "hey girl," I patted her on the head while she relaxed on top of me, "when are we going to start heading out?" she asked, "we're just waiting for Ash and his friends to get ready and knock on our door," Zacian nodded, then climbed off my lap, which felt like a thousand pounds was lifted off of it. Zacian was really heavy considering her size is only five times the amount of Snowy. The Ninetales in question crawled over to me, and laid her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around her, and smiled. Suddenly all of my Pokemon, excluding Zacian piled up on top of me.
"Urk!" I grunted after everyone piled on me, "now get some rest before Ash and his friends come and knock on our door," said Snowy, who then used Hypnosis on me.
