I sighed while we walked along, all of the Pokemon in the group were busy playing with Volpsei. Well, all except Ruby who stuck to my side, "so Davaid, do you think you'll ever get to Pokemon battling?" asked Ash while we watched his Pikachu get out maneuvered by Snowy, "nah, I don't see myself doing that, nor would I be good at it," Ash put his hand on my shoulder, "don't talk like that, you don't know until you've tried it, right?" I just remained quiet, how could I be good at something I've failed at many times back in Alola?

After we had walked for several miles, for several hours, it was lunch time. I let everyone out of their Pokeballs while we waited for Clemont to prepare our food, and I sat down next to Snowy, "are you still pissed at me?" I asked, "a little bit," I sighed, "I may hate you a little more, but I won't stop loving you," she laid her head on my shoulder, which made me sigh in relief. I wrapped my arms around her, "uh… hey guys, I think Team Rocket's stalking us," I pointed up, "hey! What did we say about pointing us out!" yelled Meowth, who jumped out of the bushes.

"Hey, you really didn't say anything about that, now what do you three want?" I pointed at them, "we'll show you what we want!" said Jessie, who hit a button. Suddenly two crawls extended out from behind them, grabbed Ash's Pikachu, and Ruby. I ran up to Clemont, "lemme see that butter really quick," I said when a balloon popped up where the crawls came out of. Team Rocket got in the Balloon's capsule, then started slowly taking off. Before Clemont could respond, I grabbed the stick of butter, and ran full speed at the Meowth Balloon.

"Snowy, try getting me up to one of those claws," she nodded, and I was thrown into the air. I just barely managed to grab hold, "ok Pikachu, I want you to hold still for me," I started applying some of the butter around Pikachu's waist, which allowed him to slip out of the claws, and land perfectly on Ash's shoulder, "hey! You're not supposed to do that!" said James, Team Rocket's balloon began shaking, and the butter slipped out of my hands before I could get some on RUby's claws.

"Shit!" I looked down, we were too far up to jump down without being seriously hurt, or dead, "Team Rocket, as soon as this balloon lands, I'm going to kick your asses," I looked at Ruby dead in the eyes, "we're going to get out of this, okay?" she nodded, "now use a weak ember on the claw's hinge, it'll melt it a bit," Ruby did as told, "hey Ash, have Pikachu hit the balloon with a THunderbolt when I give the signal!" soon after Ash pointed at the balloon while saying something I couldn't hear, and Pikachu shot a Thunder at the balloon. I grabbed onto Ruby, and embraced for the rough landing below.

"I swear if we make it out of this alive!" That was all I could say before the balloon exploded, me and Ruby were sent flying, and everything went black.

I gritted my teeth while I watched my trainer's body fly out of range of my telekinesis, "Ash, if he doesn't survive this, I'm ripping your throat out," he jumped at my threat, before I turned to the rest of Davaid Pokemon, "I want you to stay here," I ordered, before walking into the brush to find Davaid and Ruby, and if they died, I wanted to at least find their bodies. If they were dead, then Ash had better hope I didn't find him again, or I'm making sure he returns to his mother in a body bag. Most importantly, I was going to find Team Rocket and ruin their lives for putting Davaid into this situation.

I felt nothing but pain when I woke up, Ruby had landed right on top of me, which hurt like hell, but it meant I at least cushioned some of her fall. Which made me feel a little better about this situation, if she died, I wouldn't want to be alive for much longer. I weakly moved my arm over her neck, I could feel her breathing, I took a few deep breaths, "hey Ruby, wake up!" I poked her nose a few times, until she twitched, and jerked her head. Ruby raised her head after opening her eyes, she looked completely fine, "how are you feeling girl?" she got up off of me, and whined.

I took a peek at my legs, "oh fuck," I cringed at the pain, my left leg was broken. I grunted, "we don't have a compass or a map on us, so I don't know where the hell we are, and I know I'm not going to e able to walk back to camp" I sat up before feeling a sudden pain in my chest as well. It was probably from when Ruby landed on top of me. Before I could say anything, the Houndoom put her nose under my arm, then managed to get me on her back, "whoa Ruby, we should get some rest first," she growled at me, probably telling me to shut up. At least Ruby's back was comfortable.

I ran through the forest in the direction where Davaid and Ruby's bodies had been launched, I wasn't sure if I was heading in the right direction anymore. My brain was overridden with the fear of my little brother being dead. Tears filled my eyes, everything was blurry.

"Ruby, we shouldn't be moving around so quickly, we don't even know where camp is," she barked at me, before sighing, "I got an idea," I climbed off her back, then cringed at the pain in my chest, and fell flat on my face. I waited for the pain to go away, "Ruby, can you help me get a bunch of branches and sticks?" Ruby nodded. I dragged myself around, grabbing branches, sticks, or whatever would burn well. When I came back, my friend had already got a stockpile of wood, "this is good," I put what I found on the pile, then took a step back, "okay Ruby, I want you to hit the pile with the strongest Flamethrower you've got!

I didn't know what Davaid was planning on, but I hoped it was a good idea. With all the energy I could muster, I fired a Flamethrower, no, it was too strong for it to be a Flamethrower. It was a Fire BlasT! David watched in awe, "Ruby… that was amazing!" I splattered on the ground, I had learnt how to use a new move, but it took a lot out of me. David picked me up off the ground, "are you okay girl?" I nodded, but I was panting like crazy. He sat down, then settled me in his lap, "now hopefully whoever's trying to find us can see the smoke."

Imy eyes widened when I saw a huge cloud of smoke, either that was Team Rocket's balloon, or Davaid was alive, and was using his brain. Whichever it was, I was going to investigate it. I picked up speed, "Davaid, you better not be leaving me this early," I said to nobody, and I kept on running, and running, and running. I eventually reached a little clearing, David was asleep, laying his head on a sleeping Ruby. My heart dropped when I saw them both in one piece.

I lifted my head off of Ruby's back when I heard something rustling in the bushes, "Ruby, we're not alone," I nudged her awake. She got out of my lap, got ready to attack whatever came through those bushes, and I was immediately pinned down by whatever was in the bushes. I flinched, then opened my eyes, "Davaid!" said Snowy, "I pulled her into a hug, I was relieved to see her, "oh thank Arceus!" I looked around, "where is everyone?" I tilted my head, "I ordered the rest of your Pokemon to wait for you, and I scared Ash for blowing up that balloon while you were still up there," I put my finger on her nose.

"Now, I don't think that was Ash's fault, he probably misheard me due to how high up I was," Ruby pinned down Snowy, and started licking her face. I chuckled, "Nine!" barked Snowy, Ruby got up off of her. The Ninetales looked over at the huge fire, "that was a smart move by you two, if it weren't for that, I wouldn't have found you," she then grinned at me, "so you are smart after all, you just need to use that noggin of yours!" she teased. Snowy rubbed her head against my cheek, "now, are you hurt?" I nodded, "Ruby landed on top of me earlier, I should be fine though."

I picked Davaid up with my telekinesis, "now, let us go back to camp," I placed my trainer on my back, and used hypnosis on him. Ruby started walking by my side, "he's heavy, isn't he?" she asked, "no, not really. I used to carry him around like this all the time," Ruby rolled her eyes, "of course he wouldn't be heavy for a beast like yourself," I growled, "hey, I'm not a beast! "You're right, you're not a beast. You're just a ridiculously strong Ninetales!" she licked my face, then focused on the path ahead.
