One a warm summer afternoon, the Destiny's Bounty lay drydocked on a secluded beach. Repleted palm trees swayed with heavy breezes that passed by from the north. The white sand, littered by microscopic fragments of seashells, was seemingly untouched by any living creature as the light tide lapped in rhythmically. The only feature putting a damper on the setting was the dark gray clouds billowing out the blue sky; a storm was brewing. Humidity made the air sticky, but that wasn't stopping Jay Walker from executing the epic lightning move he's been practicing for months. He got it right last night when nobody was outside to witness it. Not even Nya stayed up!

This time was going to much better, especially with all eyes on the Master of Lightning. Everything was perfectly set up with the developing storm above their heads. They just had to wait for a bolt of lightning to strike down is all. The thought exhilarated Jay. He stared up at the clouds a bit too long as he visualized the bolt hitting his golden weapon and rupturing in all directions to hit his targets in the same instant.

"Jay?" Cole prompted a few feet away.

He looked over at him, who held a special stone that would absorb the impending electric hit. His shaggy black hair threatened to drape over his eyes after swallowing his forehead. "Don't move," he reminded the Ninja of Earth.

"Yeah, but I still don't know what to expect. You promised it wouldn't hurt!"

"And if it won't hurt, then why is Zane sitting out for 'safety precautions'?" Kai whined as he held a similar stone, standing on the opposite side of Jay. His untrusting green eyes betrayed his pessimistic attitude for once.

"Because if something does go wrong, I don't want to be responsible for Zane's death!" Jay replied.

Cole gazed up at the cannon of the Bounty to see Zane standing with Sensei Wu and Nya. All three were out of the danger zone and waiting patiently for the show to start.

Just then, a flash went off within the clouds and a deep rumble followed. Jay immediately held his golden nunchucks above his head with each hand grasping the handles. The small electric bolt that connected both handles quivered oddly as the influence of electrons wavered in the atmosphere. He had to become a living lightning rod for this trick to work. Being the Master of Lightning made it possible for it to happen in the first place. All he had to do was equalize the charged area around his body at the same time as the air above his body, and then the bolt of lightning would strike!

Kai and Cole could feel the air change with how serious Jay was being about this. They held their stones out in front of them, ready for whatever was about to happen.

Jay could picture the event last night. He used his weapon to manipulate the electrons around his body, and then once the equalization occurred, the bolt erupted from the clouds and struck his nunchucks. All the dummies surrounding him were each obliterated as the raw electricity ripped the wooden fibers apart in an explosion of toasted charcoal. It was freaking awesome!

Lost in his own world of reminiscing, Jay failed to notice how the air was equalizing. Suddenly, a lightning bolt arrived from between the conjunction of gray clouds and landed neatly on the golden weapons. The blinding white flash and deafening thunder completely startled Jay. Without thinking, he scattered the bolt in more than two directions in the middle of a shrill yelp that was drowned out by the noise.

Cole and Kai never stood a chance. The smaller bolts emitting from the nunchucks avoided the stones and traveled all through their bodies. Their bodies both quaked and fell over onto the deck with distinct thuds. Nya's hands clapped over her mouth in horror as the lightning dissipated just as quickly as it appeared. Jay's eardrums rang, blocking out the sound of three pairs of footsteps descending to the deck in a hurry to check on the fallen ninjas. He looked around him to see Cole flat on his back but his arms and legs straight up in the air as stiff as boards. Zane knelt next to his head. Still momentarily deaf, he swiveled his head to see Kai propped up on an elbow, trying to get up but failing miserably since his other arm was stiffly bent and unwilling to move. Nya got on her knees next to him and tried to ask him if he was okay, but he couldn't get words out of his mouth. Instead, he mumbled and moaned as a response with a bewildered expression on his face. "Muh! Muh muh muhhh!" Jay heard as the ringing cleared in his ears.

The sight made Nya second guess her worry. She got a little annoyed because she thought Kai was joking around. "Come on, Kai. It's not funny," she insisted.

"Muhhhh!"

Some laughter ensued. Jay couldn't help himself as he watched her brother try to get himself together despite the temporary messed up brain functions.

Zane could sense Cole was alive. "I hope you know a god, Cole," he joked with him.

"Know a god? I just fist-bumped God!" Cole exclaimed, his limbs and joints remaining in their rigid position above his body.

Jay laughed harder. "Oops," he giggled, looking at Sensei Wu.

The old man shook his head and sighed. The move proved to be powerful, but this was the most outrageous training session to prove it.
