Chapter 1: heart

I have told many stories all with the same name a so simple, why many would ask? Well the sea, is different each time.

Each time it changes creates destruction. Everything in the world honestly I'm not executing I live with my parents.

My job is simple I work at a boring job but I want excitement I want a life. I want to be a hero. Who wouldn't?

I want to save the world.

-In a different time-

Marissa was watching her tv as she waited for her friend Allison to get on her boring job. Of course, waiting for life to pick up was so tedious.

Miraculous Ladybug was a good show. Seeing Adrien and Marinette jump around as Ladybug and Cat Noir was always entertaining.

"I'm here!" Allison called, arriving just in time.

She smiled at her. "Hey, Allison, how's life?"

Allison shrugged and said, "Same old, same old. Plus I got called in on my day off to fill in for Reggie, who's apparently sick. Luckily, my work is on the way to yours. Hey, is that Miraculous?"

"Yes. I'm fantasizing about Adrien." Marissa said in a simple tone scratching the dreamy boy while playing some music.

"I can understand," said Allison, smiling at her. And then she remembered something. "Oh! On the way home, I stopped at a stand selling DVDs and got this. I think it's a special edition Miraculous DVD."

Allison pulled a DVD out of her purse. It had Miraculous on the cover, and Ladybug and Cat Noir's pictures, but it looked different. Marissa looked at it. It kinda reminded her of some of the stories they made.

"We could watch it if you want," Allison offered. "I mean, we have time."

"Yeah, I guess. But this kinda feels strange." She popped out the DVD she had in. Then gestured for her to go for it. Most of the time they weren't busy anyway so her boss wouldn't notice.

"What's so strange about it?" Allison asked. "Is it because it's probably hot?"

"Is it hot? Are DVDs hot because that made zero sense." She waved it off. "I'm just saying some person sold it to you at a stand it could be a pirated copy."

"Hot means it was obtained illegally. Like the guy stole a bunch and is selling them before the official release," Allison clarified, with her hands on her hips.

"Ok, I don't do slang, Allison. Unless it's like yo and lit," said Marissa.

"You also don't like my Miss Martian impression," said Allison while taking the remote. "You want me to play the theme song or skip it?"

"I love singing though and drawing. And yes wanna hear the theme song. Hey, you about the latest Coronavirus case in New York?"

"Yes. I heard. Jeez," said Allison, shuddering. "I hope that guy gets some help from his doctor."

"Great not you too it would probably only kill you if your immune system is weak like the elderly or very young kids."

"Oh, I know," Allison said. "I just found it unsettling."

"Sorry. I've been getting shit all day. The others here think this place is gonna be closed soon since the scare." She banged her head on the shelf.

Allison patted her back and said, "Hey, it's okay. I only get nervous about my mother. Her immune system isn't the strongest. That's why we take precautions at home."

"Nothing too crazy I hope; some people get really weird about this. All you have to do is wash your hands and make sure everything is clean. You yourself should be fine, as should your other siblings around your mother." She pulled out the hand sanitizer.

"Thanks," Allison said while accepting the bottle. "This virus is having my parents and I remind my siblings to take cleanliness seriously. My little brother thought he could get away with not washing his hands before dinner. Ha! Dad saw right through that. Dope."

"I get it. My family doesn't normally get illnesses like these. My sister was exposed to her classmates who had the flu and chickenpox and didn't get either. I and her are never gonna get shingles. So we don't worry too much. Just make sure to wash our hands when we go to the bathroom and such."

"I'm told I'm not likely to get shingles. But that doesn't appear until you're older-" Allison said, and then trailed off when she saw the TV. "What is that?"

The tv shifted making them both disappear into the darkness.

-Paris-

Marissa awoke in a bed so unlike her own it was comfy and soft. She got up and looked around. The entire room looked different from her old one. There was a canopy bed, two dressers made from what appeared to be mahogany, same for the nightstand, which held a pretty looking lamp. Over to the side was a tall nicely decorated mirror. She got up and looked at her reflection, which was also different.

Her hair was long and went down to her knees, with one red streak in her bangs. Her eyes were blue. She was wearing soft blue pajamas. But the most noticeable thing was her age; she was younger! 14 at least!

She went to the draw. She pulled out a red and dark brown coat with stripes, a t-shirt with the name of a strange band she never heard of. Light brown shorts with a white pant leg. A red belt. One red stocking and one fishnet stocking and ten-inch high heeled ankle boots.

"Marissa, are you up yet?" asked a woman's voice.

"Yeah, I'm coming just let me get dressed!" She shouted unsure who it was.

"Okay! Breakfast will be served in ten minutes, darling," said the woman. Marissa wondered what was going on when the maids came in freaking the hell out Marissa. They came closer and closer.

Until a scream rang out of the house.

-Hours later-

Marissa felt violated. The maids had striped her and clothed her. Like she was some royal family.

"You look wonderful, my darling," said an adult woman who seemed to resemble her.

"Hi….mom…," she said.

"Your concert tonight is sure to be a success," said her mother, smiling.

Marissa was taking a glass of water when spat coughing a little at that. "Oh, really I…. I had completely forgotten."

Her mother shook her head and said, "That's okay. You'll have plenty of time to practice. Before that, you have school today."

"Right I should get going." She walked off, out the door, and got into a limo that drove off.

School

Marissa looked outside watching the clouds and buildings pass by. The gorgeous sky reminded her of those days she would sing by herself.

Once the car stopped her bodyguard came out and opened the door she swiftly unbuckled her seat belt and walked out. Going up to the building and inside.

"Keep your guard up, miss. You never know what could jump out," said her bodyguard.

"Uh….. I think you're being overdramatic besides there's someone here I have a crush on and plan to ask him out." Marissa bluntly said she looked determined.

"Already?" a familiar voice asked.

Marissa turned around and saw a young girl, who was shorter than her, with blonde hair just past her shoulders and green eyes. She wore a purple tank top, black capris, dark brown flats, and held her hair back with a pink headband with flowers. She looked different, but it was clear who she was. Only one person loved flower headbands that much. And was that short.

She looked super happy before hugging her. "Finally. I can hug you without worry, my adorable shorty."

"Seriously, Mari? You're bringing up my height now?" Allison asked, pouting a little.

"But you're so super cute being so short." She gushed.

"I really can't wait for my growth spurt," Allison said with a groan.

"Gonna be honest I'm hoping you're short forever." Marissa hugged her. "Gosh, I can't wait for a cute Adrien to come by."

"I myself am hoping for Nathaniel to show," said Allison.

"oh, why not the black-haired boy." Marissa smirked.

"Marc's so shy he'll run away from me," said Allison. "Nathaniel is my best chance to get a word in."

"Sweetie, you don't know my skills." Marissa commented right on cue Adrien came by and Marissa walked over.

"Hi, cutie."

"Hey," said Adrien, confused, and surprised at the same time. "Are you new here?"

"You don't know me? I'm the number one singer on the world's chart Marissa and I'd like to go on a date with you." Marissa smiled happily as she twirled slightly looking excited.

Everyone in school gasped at her declaration. Several looked at pictures on their phones to see if she matched up.

"Looks like your fans heard you," Allison teased.

"Yeah, I see that." She took Adrien's hand and pulled him inside her bodyguard following behind.

"Why is that girl touching my Adrikins?" Chloe angrily asked.

"You don't own him, Chloe," Allison said in annoyance.

"Nobody cares about your opinion, Shrimp," Chloe said as she entered the school in a huff.

"I'm not that short," said Allison in embarrassment as she went inside. "Also, Chole, shove it because you don't own him and he has someone better than you!"

Chloe growled and tore a magazine she had in her hands to pieces. Her 'friend' Sabrina looked nervous as she followed her.

At the same time, Marinette was just arriving at school. She was nearly at class when Alya caught her.

"Girl, you are not gonna believe who showed up today!" Alya said in excitement.

"Who? Someone famous?" Marinette asked.

Ayla nodded. "Yes! Marissa is here!"

"Marissa?! The Marissa!?" Marinette excitedly asked. "The big star around the world?! She's here?! Where?! I have to meet her!"

"She's in our classroom hanging out with Adrien." Ayla said dragging Marinette into class where Marissa was talking to Adrien.

Marissa smiled at him. "Come on. Don't you wanna go on a date with me? One word and I can have a reservation at Allison's parent's restaurant."

"The White Swan?" Adrien asked. "But it's impossible to get a reservation there so soon."

"Not if you're connected," said Marissa, winking.

Marinette stiffened at the sight. Marinette was a big fan of Marissa, but she was not expecting her to start flirting with the very boy she herself liked.

"Am I seeing this?" Marinette asked in shock. "Marissa, the big star, is hitting on the love of my life?"

"Of course I can please won't you go out on a date with me." Marissa said in a sweet tone. She kissed him on the cheek. "Please I bet I can make you forget about l.a.d.y.b.u.g."

Adrien's eyes widened in shock. He jumped back a little and said, "Whoa! Look at the time. I think class is about to start. Right, Nino?"

"It is getting close to class time," said Nino.

"Exactly," said Adrien. "Why don't you find a seat?"

"Might I make a suggestion?" Allison spoke up. "How about you two sit together?"

"But….. I sit next to Nino," said Adrien.

"Please? I like him. Ever since I met him when I was younger." Marissa said in a sweet tone.

"Wait just a minute here!" Chloe barked as she stood up and got in Marissa's face. "I've known Adrikins since I was little! And I've never seen you before!"

"Get away from her!" Shouted Marissa's bodyguard as he pushed Chloe back. "You will not lay a hand on this girl."

"To answer your question Adrien was smaller and I was in America my mother knew his father and mother and he came over. That was for a few months so of course, you didn't see me but I promised him when we were younger I'd marry him." Marissa said clearly and calmly. That was when Adrien seemed to remember something.

"Mari?" he asked upon realization. "Mari Van Helsing?"

"That's right, Adricutie," said Marissa, blinking sweetly.

"Seriously?" Alya asked Adrien as she entered with Marinette. "You know Marissa and never said the whole time you've been in this class?"

"Back then she was smaller and looked very much different," said Adrien. "And she was going by Mari then."

"So she had work done," Chloe concluded with a cackle. "I knew this hair had to be a dye job. And this whole image. Plastic surgery."

"Actually, Chloe, she just used to wear her hair in pigtails," said Adrien.

"Everyone knows Marissa's image is all real. She's not one of those girls who feel the need to hide behind a thick layer of makeup, like some people," said Allison, smiling smugly.

Chloe growled at Allison and shouted, "At least I'm the right height!"

Allison crossed her arms and sat in Sabrina's seat. "Nino, next to me so Adrien and Marissa can sit together," she said.

"But that's Chloe's seat. And you're in Sabrina's," said Nino.

Allison looked stoic as she asked, "Do I look like I care?"

"Get out of there right now!" Chloe shouted at Allison.

"Sorry. Can't hear you. In the zone," said Allison while supposedly playing with her phone.

"Don't ignore me," Chloe said.

Unbeknownst to her, Marissa had already taken her seat next to Adrien. She cuddled him. At the same time, Miss Bustier came into the room and saw Chloe yelling at Allison.

"What is going on here?!" she asked.

"Miss Bustier, Allison took Sabrina's seat and gave mine to Nino," Chloe tattled.

"Actually, Chloe called me a bitch and I politely replied with "I'll take your seat then." That's when I took it." Allison said in a sweet tone.

"She's lying!" Chloe yelled. "Back me up, people. You know that's not what happened."

Alix glared at Chloe. "That is so what happened."

Marissa was cuddling Adrien so she wasn't focused. From what she caught, many of the class were defending Allison's claim. Finally, miss Bustier clapped her hands.

"Enough now!" She said. "Chloe, you and Sabrina can sit in the two open seats in the back. Allison, Nino, stay where you are."

Chloe growled and then went to the back with Sabrina. Allison laughed in amusement as it went down.

"Brat," she said.

Miss Bustier cleared her throat and said, "Alright now, as you can see, we have a new student with us today. Marissa Van Helsing. And I'm not sure who that man is."

"Lucifer," said the bodyguard. "I'm Marissa's bodyguard. I'll be watching over her."

"That's very nice, Mr. Lucifer," said Miss Bustier. "Students don't normally bring bodyguards to class."

"Don't worry. I won't get in the way," said Lucifer.

Marissa smiled as she got her notebook out looking pretty excited.

"Okay," said Miss Bustier. "Well, Marissa, I hope you like it here."

"I'm sure I will," said Marissa, and then she gave a sweet smile.

After that Marissa studied her hardest to understand everything she could learn. She occasionally glanced at Adrien and inwardly hoped Allison could pull off her part to get them a romantic date.

-after class-

Marissa met with Allison after class. Allison seemed to have great news because she was smiling while waving her phone.

"I need to get everyone to like me but I need to remove Chloe. She's a nuisance." Marissa said as they watched.

"Well, people are already fans of yours. So that's a start," said Allison. "If it helps, I contacted the restaurant. There are some available tables this week in the evening. Including the VIP section."

"That helps but I must be so kind and sweet to everyone and that way they'd never believe I'd blame Chloe. After her I'll have to deal with Lila." Marissa said in a cool calm tone.

"What about Marinette?" Allison asked. "Will she be a problem with Adrien?"

"No, remember they never got together in the show. I'm sure she'll give up." Marissa smiled. "Besides I like her so I wanna be friends."

"I think I know who she needs to meet," said Allison, cracking her knuckles. "If you recall, Juleka has an older brother who fancied her since their first encounter. I also have two male cousins."

"Let's use Luka maybe make the encounter happen early. Now I just gotta make sure Adrien snaps out of his love for Ladybug….I won't be second best to her."

"Like you're second to anyone," said Allison in a flattering way.

"Hey, Marissa," said Alya as she approached, only for Lucifer to stop her. "Uh, can I interview you? I'm thinking about doing a segment in my blog about celebrities."

She took the girls' hands. "I get to be interviewed by someone so beautiful? This is so amazing." Marissa said in a sweet tone. "So yes I'd love to."

"Yes! Let's go to this table over here," Alya said as she led her to a table and set up her phone to record. "Hi there, viewers. Today we're taking a slight break from my usual blog to talk about someone new. For my first post of celebrity interviews, I have an exclusive interview with the one and only Marissa!"

"Hello, everyone." She waved her hand at the camera.

"Marissa, it's no secret that you're the number one singer in the world right now with your unique style of multiple genre music," said Alya. "How do you manage all those different styles? Is it hard?"

"Each style I take a unique personality for each style. It's not easy. Each movement is it's own heart and soul. That's why you need to make an emotional attachment to each song one does." Marissa smiled with a gentle laugh. "Of course the ones lower on the rank than I doesn't make them bad but it means they need to work harder take Jagged Stone for example."

"I hear you have a lot of respect for him," said Alya. "And it sounds like I heard right."

"I do have a lot of respect. But he does lack certain things he needs to change a few things. Like some of the lack luster songs lately. It's like he's not putting his soul into those ones lately."

"I guess you make a good point," said Alya. "You know, there's a rumor among some music fans in our age group. I hope you don't get offended by the question, I just want it cleared up."

"Fire away," said Marissa.

"XY claimed on TV that you and him dated once. Is that true?" Alya asked. "A lot of my class thinks he made it up. There are a few that think he didn't."

"No, he asked me out and rejected him. And in retaliation, he made this rumor up. I only love one guy and that's Adrien Agreste," Marissa said in a calm tone.

"Oh. Wow," said Alya, not expecting that. "Thanks for clearing that up. So, where do you get your inspiration?"

"Mainly the reality of the world and the events of it." Marissa explained in a calm tone. "There is a story behind most my songs. Witch Hunt is about an ancestor accused of witchcraft and was burned at the stake because of it. It tells so much some of her life and what a selfish act led her to her doom." Marissa smiled sadly.

"Oh my God," said Alya. "Will that song be sung at your concert?"

"Yes it will and a designer will be showing off his newest clothes as well." Marissa explained.

"That's amazing!" Alya said. "Who did you commission to make your costumes? Is it anyone famous?"

"His names Damien Delight. I'm also going to be in a movie soon." Marissa smiled at her. "Damien will be the designer."

"I look forward to seeing it," said Alya. "Just one more question."

"Yes?" Marissa asked.

"What are your thoughts on Paris' superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir?" Alya asked.

"They're both quite amazing. But I'm more a fan of Cat Noir than Ladybug. Don't get me wrong Ladybug is amazing, but Cat Noir gives you a hope deep in your heart that even if the world's in danger you can always know he's there to make a joke to help lighten the mood and helping you smile as well."

Adrien was nearby and heard everything. He had no idea that Cat Noir had that effect on anyone. It was nice to hear that the cat hero was appreciated.

"Thank you for your time, Marissa," said Alya before looking at her phone. "Hope you all enjoyed the show. I'll be back next with another great interview. Bye."

Once they were done, Alya got to work posting the video. While this happened, Adrien decided to talk to her.

"Hey, Mari," said Adrien. "I had no idea you were a Cat Noir fan. I mean, before now."

"Of course I am. But I love you. When we were young you were kind to me." Marissa said in a calm tone.

"And you were to me," said Adrien, smiling.

"That's why I want to date you. Give me a chance at least." Marissa grabbed his hands and held them.

Adrien was about to answer when Chloe grabbed him and pushed Marissa. The result was her bag going flying and the contents spilling on the ground. One-piece was a golden heart-shaped pendant of some kind on a gold chain. It looked like a locket.

"Adrikins, did the birthday gift I sent you ever arrive?" Chloe asked him.

"Yeah," said Adrien. "That was a really cool… mirror."

"It is, isn't it?" Chloe asked.

Allison and Alya helped Marissa pick up her stuff when Marinette found the locket. She picked it up and opened it to find a picture of little Marissa on the lap of an old woman.

"Marissa, I think you dropped this," said Marinette while holding the locket out to her.

Marissa immediately took the locket and held it close to heart. And then she hugged Marinette.

"Thank you, Marinette," said Marissa. "It was a gift from my grandma. Her last gift to me before-"

"I'm so sorry," said Adrien as he took her hand.

"You'd think she could've given her something less boring," Chloe carelessly said. Marissa started crying as a result.

"Chloe! Her grandmother's dead!" Adrien hissed.

Chloe flinched as their other classmates saw Marissa crying and learned the reason.

"So uncool, Chloe," said Alix.

"Have you no shame?" Mylene asked.

"I knew you had problems, but this is low," said Nathaniel.

"You better apologize!" Rose said.

"No. It's ok….." She put it away before walking away.

Adrien went after Marissa. "Wait!" he called. "Marissa….. I haven't seen you in so long… I missed you a lot…. I guess what I'm saying is…. I will go out with you."

She stopped. "No. It's fine. I get it I'm not sad." She wiped her tears away. She took a deep breath. "Thank you. "

"Would you like to have dinner at my place?" Adrien asked. "I'll most likely be alone tonight."

Marissa was about to answer when her brother spoke up. "Why don't you come over to our house for dinner? It'll be much more pleasant. Don't you think, Marissa?"

"Yes." Marissa said with a smiling face.

"Great!" Adrien happily said. "It'll be great seeing your family again. Speaking of which, nice to see you after so long, Arthur."

"You too," said Arthur. "Let's go, Marissa. You have a sound check."

"Can't it wait?" Marissa pouted slightly.

"Do you want your concert to have messed up sounds playing?" Arthur asked.

"No, but it's not like missing one will mess it up. So don't be overdramatic." She calmly replied before sighing.

"Guess that means you have time to hang out with your friends," said Adrien.

"Yes." Marissa smiled.

"Come on," said Adrien, holding out his hand. "We're going to catch up."

Marissa nodded and took his hand. As she smiled at him her heart thumped even faster. He took her to the park and got them both some juice.

"You picked a great time to show up," said Adrien. "There's supposed to be a statue of Ladybug and Cat Noir unveiled this week in the park. It's the mayor's way of thanking them for all they've done."

"Oh cool. Hey, how about I have a party at my place and we can have a small birthday for you?" She suggested in a sweet tone.

Adrien smiled at her. "You remembered my birthday," he said. "I'd like a party. Hopefully without one of my friends being akumatized."

"Cool. How about I tell your dad you're coming over to my place and I'll tell the others we're having a party for you that way your dad can't say no? I know my mom will help." Marissa smiled hugging him.

"Sounds dishonest and sneaky," said Adrien. "Let's do it."

"Oh, you're such a bad boy." She joked slightly.

"I'm finding that I need to take charge to get freedom," said Adrien while laughing.

She smiled happily at him. "Great!"

"I'll let Nino know!" Adrien happily said. "You know, this'll also be the perfect chance for you to make a good impression on the rest of the class as a fellow student and friend."

"It will?" Marissa happily asked.

"Yes," said Adrien while texting his friends. "I am sorry about Chloe being so insensitive. If she'd known, she probably wouldn't have said what she said. Actually, she probably wouldn't have said anything; I think."

She doubted it would matter but she was happy to be free from her duty for a day.

"Okay, I sent the texts," said Adrien. "I also told my father I'll be at your place. So he won't interrupt. So, when shall the party be?"

"6 hours. I texted my mom. She said she'll be at work for awhile anyway. She said she'll have Lucifer get everything done."

"Great!" Adrien cheered. "Since we have time together, how about telling me about what you've been up to since we last saw each other."

"You two can talk in the car. I'll drive," said Lucifer as he pulled up.

"I went to Japan and practiced my music. a

Actually, as I grew I learned about music styles and started writing songs." Marissa said with a smiling face as they got in.

"I'm guessing your mom noticed and got you started on your music career," said Adrien as the car drove. "With your talent, I'm not surprised she represented you."

Marissa nodded and smiled. "After that, we started traveling going place to place and my career took off. Everyone loved my music to the point everyone wanted to know me." Marissa smiled.

"When did you start acting?" Adrien asked. "I mean, you mentioned shooting a movie. I guess that means you're acting too."

"That's a more recent thing. I started practicing by expressing my emotions through my music even further."

"Wow," said Adrien, smiling. "That's amazing. My life's been pretty boring compared to yours."

"Thanks that means a lot coming from you."

"You're welcome," said Adrien. "I hope you can come to see Paris as your home."

"Me too." Marissa

The car stopped at a red light and Adrien glanced out the window. On the jumbotron was a report on Ladybug and Cat Noir. Adrien smiled at the memory of the mission the report was talking about.

"Where would Paris be without them?" Adrien asked.

Marissa looked at them. "I wish I could be a hero."

Adrien looked surprised. "You do?" He asked.

"Yeah, they're amazing." Marissa said with a huge smile.

"You know you'd be fighting scary villains, right?" Adrien said, trying to sound scary. "Like Stormy Weather. Or Lady Wifi. Or the Bubbler. Or…. Mr. Pigeon."

Marissa only laughed at him. "How are those names scary? Especially that last one. Mr. Pigeon?"

"You weren't there for him. Power to the pigeons!" Adrien said while doing an impression of said villain. He even made pigeon sounds. This only made Marissa laugh more. "I swear. This really happened."

"Even so, I would be willing to be that hero and protect them." Marissa smiled at the two heroes. "Even heroes deserve to be protected."

"Thinking about getting some kisses from Cat Noir?" Adrien teasingly asked. "Not that I'm surprised. They say he's the cat's meow."

"It's weird but he feels a lot like you. But I'm too afraid to feel that way sometimes. I may accidently fall in love." Marissa said in a calm tone.

"No one falls in love on purpose, it just happens," said Adrien, smiling fondly. "That's what my mom said before she disappeared."

She smiled at him. "I love you, Adrien."

Adrien's cheeks tinted pink. "Marissa…. I….. I…. I…." Adrien stuttered.

"Marissa, I'm going to order the desserts once we get to the mansion," said Lucifer. "I got the number of a bakery that was highly recommended. Dupain-Cheng."

"Oh I know them. They're the best," said Adrien, smiling.

"Any requests, Marissa?" Lucifer asked.

She looked to Adrien. "Any requests?"

Adrien blinked and asked, "How much can I get away with? Food-wise?"

"As much as you want. This is your day." Marissa smiled.

"Then chocolate and vanilla marble," said, Adrien. "And I'd like it big enough for everyone and decorated with that logo I saw on Marissa's guitar from her last concert in buttercream frosting."

Lucifer nodded. "I'll get to that," he said as he pulled in. "Now, you two head inside."

Marissa nodded. Before she headed inside.

"Your house is beautiful," he said with a smile.

"Not as handsome as you." She smirked before walking inside.

"Welcome home, miss Marissa," said a maid. "We all started setting up the minute we got your message."

"Thank you, Moira," said Marissa.

"I also called in the best for entertainment," said Moira. "Well, second best."

Adrien looked at Marissa in surprise. "Is she saying she called Jagged Stone?"

"Yep." Marissa smiled at Adrien.

"You did that just for me?" Adrien asked.

"You're a fan so you deserve the best," said Marissa, smiling.

Adrien had a look of shock on his face for a moment. And then he smiled and said, "You are amazing."

"Thank you," said Marissa.

Adrien looked at the table and his face lit up. "Wow! What a spread you got here," he said as he looked over the food. His eyes landed on some cat shaped cookies. "Purr-fect."

"Thanks. I love cats." Marissa said in a cheerful tone.

"Too bad there's only one cat miraculous. And there's a guy in Paris who has it," said Adrien, secretly boasting. "The only thing that could make this party more perfect would be if Ladybug showed up in the flesh. Everyone in class loves her."

Marissa frowned slightly at that. "Right…. Ladybug."

"What's wrong?" Adrien asked in concern.

Before Marissa could answer, a maid called, "Miss, your other guests have arrived. As have the bakers."

"Okay. Let them in," said Marissa.

The doors opened to reveal all of the kids from Marissa's class and Marinette's parents. The baker couple were led to the kitchen as they wanted to start the cake right away. Surprisingly, Chloe was among the crowd, but she was mostly on her phone.

"Welcome to Adrien's birthday. Please enjoy." Marissa said, holding Adrien's hand.

"Uh, Adrikins already had a birthday party," Chloe said from her phone. "Nino threw it. He made us go."

Nino looked very embarrassed as he hid his face under his hat. Alya saw this and pat him on the back.

"That party doesn't count," Alix argued. "Nino was akumatized into the Bubbler and held everyone hostage."

"And he forgot to bring Marinette," said Allison, pointing at said girl.

"I couldn't find her," said Nino.

"Anyway, where do we put these?" Alya asked while holding a present.

"Over there." She gestured to the other side. With the empty table.

"Thanks," said Alya.

Everyone put their gifts for Adrien on the table and Nino went straight for the DJ station. He started playing music and everyone danced and chatted.

"Great party, Marissa," said Rose while dancing.

"Yeah! This is so much fun!" Mylene happily said.

"Uck! What is this?!" Chloe asked, pointing something on the table. "Is that pizza?!"

"Yea as well as sushi and chicken wings along with a bunch of different things." She crossed her arms.

"You put peasant food on your menu? What were you thinking?" Chloe asked.

"Adrien asked for it." Marissa smirked.

Chloe looked surprised at Adrien. "Yeah. I asked for something for everyone," said Adrien. "And not everyone likes caviar or escargot."

"And he wanted some junk food."

"Well, in that case, I'm happy for you," Chloe sweetly said. "Wanna dance with me during the slow dance?"

"Adrien, actually promised me his dance. Since this is a date and birthday in one." Marissa sweetly said holding her necklace.

Chloe crossed her arms and pouted as Adrien took Marissa by her hand and took off.

"What does that show off have that I don't?" Chloe asked Sabrina.

"Well…. She is really nice…." Sabrina nervously said. "And she put this party together for everyone… especially Adrien."

"Please, Sabrina. She is such a phoney," Chloe remarked, unaware that Allison was listening while grabbing some food from the table. "The only reason she's doing this is to get everyone to like her. She doesn't have friends so she has to use flashy parties to make people like her. So pathetic."

As Chloe said every foul word about Marissa, Allison's anger grew. How dare that brat diss her friend like that, she thought. Marissa was one of the nicest and kindest people she knew. Allison refused to stand for this. She grabbed a sushi roll and got ready to throw it.

"Hey, Allie, you gotta get on the dance floor! This song is sick!" Alix said while grabbing her.

Allison dropped the sushi roll as she was pulled onto the dance floor. Adrien heard the song as well and held Marissa's hand as she danced. Chloe glared at the couple and then caught sight of the punch bowl. She whispered something to Sabrina, who nodded and snuck over to it with her. Everyone else joined in while Marinette frowned sadly.

"I don't have a chance," she said with a sigh.

"Marinette, you shouldn't worry about who dances with Adrien," said Tikki from her bag. "Marissa threw this party because she wanted Adrien to be happy and everyone to have fun."

Marinette smiled and said, "You're right. It's about happiness. So I'm going to join in."

She was just about to dance as well when she caught sight of Chloe and Sabrina carrying the punch bowl.

"What are they up to?" She wondered. They stood on a nearby table just as Marissa danced in their direction. Now Marinette knew what they were doing. "Marissa, look out!"

It was too late. Chloe and Sabrina dumped the entire bowl of punch on Marissa right in front of everyone. The impact made Marissa lose balance and fall to the floor in a heap of fruit punch. Marissa looked up for a moment, giving Chloe a chance to take a picture on her phone.

"Wait until everyone online gets a load of this," Chloe said, cackling as she climbed down. "You might be famous, but that doesn't mean you can have everything."

Marissa smirked. "Actually, Chole, this counts as assault. And I have a camera too. Our home does. I'm pretty sure you're about the most hated girl in the world." She whispered to her.

Chloe gasped and backed away.

Right then and there Marissa cried. Adrien quickly helped her up.

"Chloe, what's the matter with you?!" he angrily asked.

"Why? I thought we were friends…. I was so nice to you." She said in between sobs.

"So uncool!" Marinette shouted.

"What's your problem?" Nino asked.

"And you, Sabrina, why are you always such a tool?" Alix asked.

Marissa started to cough. "Adrien I… I can't breathe."

"Hang on, I'll get you to the hospital!" Adrien shouted.

"I'll get the car!" a butler yelled as he ran. "Rita, keep the guests calm."

"On it," said a maid with black hair said.

"Great, Chole, did you pour the guava one on her?" Allison asked. Crossing her arms.

"There was a guava one?" Chloe asked.

"Yes we heard Juleka and Rose liked it and so we got it and made sure Marissa didn't touch it because she was very allergic. She can die from anaphylactic shock. We were very careful; not a drop got near her. Marissa wanted each of the guests to be happy." Another butler said.

Kim looked at the card for the punch that Chloe and Sabrina swiped. His face was filled with horror. It was the very punch she had to avoid. Everyone gasped.

"You psycho!" Alya shrieked.

"I didn't know that punch had something she was allergic to!" Chloe retorted.

"Maybe you shouldn't have poured any on her. That was an option. I'm going to call her mother and ask that you be charged with attempted homicide." Lucifer said in a cold angry tone.

"You can't do that!" Chloe shouted.

"I can and will." Lucifer left.

"I was trying to embarrass her, not kill her!" Chloe retorted.

"Attempted manslaughter can get you 20 years even if you didn't mean to do it.."

"I'm 14. I'm still a minor," Chloe said.

"You can be charged as an adult. Especially in Paris," said Lucifer as he pulled out his phone.

"Well, let's see how the honorable mayor feels about his daughter being accused without proof," Chloe said while holding her phone.

"He won't have a say unfortunately for you. And I do the cameras or did you forget."

"And we all saw you, Chloe!" Ivan shouted.

"Oh yes, we'll have the prosecutor know each and everyone who was here." Lucifer let the phone ring.

Chloe dialed her father. "Daddy, you won't believe what happened at Adrien's party!"

"Yes, madam, your daughter's in the hospital and it was because of a girl named Chloe. Yes, that one. Yes of course I'll call the best prosecutor. And make sure the trail doesn't use her father as a way for her to win her way...yes right away I'll call the police." He hung up. Before going to dial for the cops.

"I'm telling you, daddy, it's all a huge misunderstanding! It was just a prank gone wrong," Chloe said. Her eyes widened as she went pale. "What? But I thought-But I didn't mean to. Okay. I guess all I can do is…. Hope."

"Oh boy. That is not good for her," said Ivan.

"My father said the best he can do is get me a lawyer," said Chloe.

"I hope, for your sake, it's a good one," said Allison.

Three days later.

The two families walked into the room Marissa was getting better in the hospital. So she and the prosecutor came.

"I assume you asked us here for a reason," said Chloe's lawyer. "I was explaining to my client to tell me what happened."

"It won't really matter once they see the video and hear the voice recording," Said the prosecutor to them as they entered. "But we're willing to cut a deal."

"A deal?" Chloe asked.

"Best not say anything," said the lawyer.

"Yes, 1 year in juvy and 10 months in mandatory therapy."

"I'd sooner spend my life in another country," Chloe said.

"Chloe, quiet," said her lawyer.

"If she doesn't take it we're willing to do attempted murder because we have proof Chloe knew Marissa was allergic to that fruit and know it said that."

"That's a dirty lie!" Chloe shouted. "I found out after!"

She handed the videotape and handed out a recording of Chloe's phone logs." Read this and think about it because I'm willing to let that psycho rot in jail once she turns 18."

Andre Bourgeois looked at the deal. "Chloe, I think we should take this deal."

"But I wasn't trying to kill her!" Chloe argued.

"Chloe, this is starting to look like our only option," Andre seriously said.

"Look ill talk to the mother I might even get her to make it 6 months but the therapy has to stay the same the mother was strict on that honestly I wouldn't even been offering if Marissa didn't speak up to her mother. Her mother wanted the minimum amount of year's which could be 40 years or life."

"I'm sorry, Chloe. But even the mayor's daughter isn't above the law," said Andre. "And, I hate to say this, you really need help. We'll take it."

Chloe was stunned for what felt like forever. After all, she went through to make herself look innocent, she was still going to juvenile hall. From there, she would go to therapy. All she could do was watch as her father and the lawyer he hired signed the papers.

"You made the right decision."

-Marissa's room; hospital-

Marissa was lying in bed watching the news. After hearing about Chloe she took it in stride and read the law. An assault was less severe if the person was charged.

The nurse stuck her head in the room and asked, "How are you feeling, today?"

"I feel a lot better thanks to you and the doctors. I owe my life to you." She smiled at her.

"That's good to hear. You have a couple of visitors," said the nurse.

When she let them in, it turned out to be Adrien and Allison. And both had gifts with them.

"Hey, guys. Did you hear about Chloe? It was so sad." Marissa sweetly said frowning the best she could.

"Yeah. I know what she did, but I can't help but feel sorry for her," said Adrien.

"I tried to get my mom to drop the charges but she was all but ready to let her rot in jail. So I convinced her to give her a shorter sentence."

"At least she got that," said Adrien with a sigh.

"Which is more than she deserves," Allison said.

"Please don't be angry with her. It was really an accident. I know she wouldn't truly kill me." Marissa said in a sweet tone.

"Yeah. But the school will be better without her pulling her shit every other day," Allison said.

"You know, Allison, you could be a little more sympathetic," said Adrien in disapproval.

"Please, Adrien, you gotta understand she was scared I'd die don't be mad at her." She took Adrien's hand. "I'm also sorry about your birthday."

"It's okay, Marissa. Up until the scare, it was a lot of fun," Adrien said with a smile. And then he handed her a large bouquet of red roses. "These are for you from me."

"Thank you. My absolute favorite flower." She kissed his cheek.

"You're welcome," said Adrien, blushing.

"Hey, Alya, can you record something for me?"

"Sure. What is it?" Alya asked.

"Just videotape me." Marissa smiled.

Alya got out her phone and hit record. She then signaled action.

"Hello, world. This is Marissa. I want to say I love you all and thanks for your support. I understand lately you've probably been mad at Chloe Bourgeois, but please don't be angry. Everything that happened was an accident. So, as my fans, be the best you and don't hurt Chloe with cruel words. Thank you."

"End scene," said Alya. "That was beautiful. Want me to post it on my blog?"

She smiled. "If you don't mind." But she knew realistically it might make it worse on Chloe.

Alya went to work posting the video. As she did so, Allison presented Marissa with other presents.

"This scrapbook was made by Rose," she said while giving her a book.

"It's beautiful." She smiled as Alya heard a Ding a comment came up and she frowned.

"Oh boy. Chloe may have to consider relocating when she gets released," said Alya.

Allison looked. "Only if that place has no people."

"Jeesh. Pretty harsh," said Marinette, who was holding a box of pastry. "All over a prank gone wrong.

"If it wasn't Marissa it probably would have been better but Chloe's gonna have to get her internet removed." Alya commented nervously. And then she saw Marinette's box and tried to change the subject. "Is that from the bakery?"

"Yeah. I brought Marissa some macaroons to help her feel better," said Marinette.

"Thank you. I love macaroons." She took one in her mouth and bit it. "So good."

"Best in Paris," said Adrien, and then gave her a drawing of Cat Noir. "Nathaniel drew you this. Sabrina thought it was a strange choice until I told her about you being a fan."

"Thank God I could at least convince mom not to charge her at all." Marissa sighed in relief before taking the picture and hugging it. "I wish I could meet him. That would be amazing."

Adrien smiled and said, "Might not be impossible."

"Might be hard to find an akumatized villain to fight. Hawk Moth might be short on negativity," said Allison while giving Marissa a meal. "Your favorite lunch from the restaurant."

"Unless Chloe is bitter right now." She frowned.

"I hope not," said Adrien. "Try to get better, Marissa. Everyone wants to get to know you more."

"I think I can with all of these best wishes," said Marissa, now smiling.

-with Hawk Moth-

Hawk Moth was using his miraculous to try to find negativity anywhere. He finally found something perfect.

"Yes. The feeling of injustice about harsh punishment due to a prank. The sorrow and rage that comes with your life being ruined," said Gabriel.

"Master, think this through. She could really kill Marissa or even Adrien," said Nooroo.

"Chloe Bourgeois would never harm Adrien. She's hopelessly infatuated with him," said Gabriel

"And Adrien likes Marissa. What do you think will happen if she dies? And what about her mother? She's your friend." Nooroo pleadingly said.

"Have you forgotten who controls your miraculous, Nooroo?" Gabriel asked.

"No, but I'm telling you to think before you do something you regret. What if Ladybug can't fix it? What if you can't if you get them? Do you want Adrien to feel the same pain you do with your wife?"

Gabriel balled his fists. He had an opportunity right in front of him. But Nooroo made a point. Adrien likes Marissa. And Marissa's mother was his own friend. In Chloe's state, she might be hard to control, maybe impossible to control. The risk was too great. And then he felt something else.

"This might be useful. A mother's rage for the attempt on her daughter's life. Nooroo, dark wings rise!" Gabriel said, and then he transformed into Hawk Moth. He called over a white butterfly and changed it black and purple. "Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize this angry mother!"

The Akuma flew out the open window and searched for its prey. It finally found her. It was Angelica Van Helsing, Marissa's mother.

The woman was looking at the song her daughter wrote as a young girl. "How could she hurt my little girl….. I'll make sure my husband gets that office so that man feels the pain I do. So that girl never has power again."

The Akuma landed on the paper with the lyrics and turned it black. Angelica lifted her head up as the Hawk mask appeared on her face.

"Music Queen, I am Hawk Moth," said a voice in her head. "I know all about what happened to your little princess. It seems as though the punishment did not quite fit the crime. So I'm giving you the power to use music to deal your own punishments. In return, I would like Ladybug and Cat Noir's miraculous. Can you do that?"

"It's time for Chloe to face the music," said Angelica.

After accepting the deal, the woman was covered in black mist. When it cleared, an entirely different person stood in her place. This one had purple skin, light blue eyeshadow, red lipstick, and dark blue hair in a braid that looked like a musical note. She wore a black bodysuit with a black and white skirt that looked like piano keys, high heeled knee-high boots, a crown on her head with musical notes, and in her hand was a scepter that looked like a microphone. She put the lyric paper in her belt.

"Angie, I'm going to see Marissa in the hospital. You coming?" asked her husband from the next room. "Honey? You okay?"

The door opened and the woman stepped out. She sang. "This world is cruel and unfair now all shall be in a new world. one of song. One that will allow me to punish her brutality. This world shall change and only my family will be royalty. So says Music Queen."

"Angie? What are you talking about?" Her husband nervously asked.

The music notes spread changing all around them. Marissa's father watched in fear as his wife sent the notes outside all over Paris. The citizens screamed in terror at what was happening. Even at the hospital where Marissa was resting.

"What's happening?!" Allison asked as they were all engulfed.

"I don't know!" Adrien said, and reached out for Marissa. "Marissa!"

The world changed. Everyone around was indifferent clothing. Her friends were outside a huge tower and Marissa was at the top. The hospital became a castle. And it looked old timely all-around maybe slightly like a Disney movie.

"What is happening? Why has the world suddenly changed?" Adrien asked in the form of singing.

Everyone gasped.

"Everyone remain calm, everyone remain still. There must be an explanation for this," Allison calmly sang.

"What should we do? What should we do? I can't stop singing. What do we do?" Ayla sang.

"An Akuma this be, an angry or saddened soul maybe, was likely the cause of this," Allison sang. "Our only hope, our very best bet, is for the superheroes to defeat the villain and bring us back to bliss."

"Then we must find them now and set Marissa free!" Marinette declared in song. And then she saw a poster. "And save Chloe too."

"Come one all to the execution come one all to the girl's doom. One who dared harm the Princess come one all to Chloe's doom." Nadja sang as she posted the papers.

Everyone gulped as they received the news. Adrien and Marinette used their chances to get away to find somewhere to transform. Once alone, Adrien released Plagg.

"Well, my friend, I probably don't need to tell you that we are in quite a pickle," Plagg sang. "Although my preferred choice would be a nice yummy cheese."

"No time to worry about food. We must free a princess and stop an execution!" Adrien sang. "Plagg, claws out!"

Plagg went into the Miraculous and Adrien transformed into Cat Noir. But his form was a bit different this time. He had a black long-sleeved shirt, long black pants, black gloves, black pirate looking boots, a black belt with a holder for his stick, and a black mask over his eyes with long tails. He also had on a black cloak.

He looked himself over. "What's this? So new. I like it, but even so, it's strange. Perhaps it has to do with the villains' power. I bet!"

Marinette let Tikki out and sang, "This is terrible. Just horrible. I may not like Chloe, but I don't want her to die."

"Then you transform to rescue her," Tikki sang.

"Tiki spots on." Marrinte transformed but instead of the normal outfit marrinte was in a red and poke-a-dot armor with her yoyo in the middle and it being the handle of a sword. "How interesting, yet strange. Never mind. I must find Cat Noir so this world can be saved."

While Ladybug went in search of Cat Noir, Cat Noir started climbing up the tower. In his mind, Marissa came first.

-tower-

Marissa sat in her bed wondering how this whole thing happened. One minute she was in a hospital room with her friends, the next she was trapped in a tower wearing a princess gown and a tiara.

Suddenly, she saw a shape in the window. It was Cat Noir in the flesh.

"How do you do, princess Marissa? Your heroic Cat Rogue has come to rescue you," Cat Noir sang as he extended his hand.

"Oh you sly cat, you have come at last. I'm so happy to see you, my handsome cat. But somethings wrong in this world I don't know what. Could a fan have been so angry and decided to become an Akuma."

"I'm not sure either," Cat Noir responded. "But perhaps you could me and Ladybug learn the truth. Once we do, we shall return everyone to normal."

"Yes oh yes we must but first I must stop the execution." Marissa held her hands together as she sang.

"Yes, oh yes, we must," sang Cat Noir as he grabbed Marissa and held her close. "Hang on tight."

"I'll never let go, you hold my trust."

Cat Noir extended his stick and used it to slide down with Marissa. Together they raced through the city. Along the way, they saw a red knight in spots.

"Please let her be safe." Marissa sang in a sad tone. "If she's not it's my fault."

"Ladybug!" Cat Noir called in song, making her stop.

"Cat Noir, I've found you," Ladybug sang in relief and noticed Marissa. "And Marissa? You're here too?"

"Ladybug oh great." She sang sarcastically.

"Is something wrong?" Ladybug asked.

"You mean other than we can only sing in song or could be that Chloe could die because of me." Marissa sang sadly

"Then we must hurry to the execution. The villain might be there," said Ladybug. "Then we must capture the Akuma and use my lucky charm."

She started to hum. "Oh Adrien, I hope you're safe. Adrien, I don't need anything but you Adrien I love you. Adrien, I'm sorry. I should have let it go. I shouldn't have lost my way. Adrien-"

"Marissa!" Cat Noir quickly said he gave her a kind smile as he sang to her. "You did nothing wrong. All that happened was because of Hawk Moth. Yes, the person made this wish, but it was Hawk Moth who made them a villain. Adrien will understand. I just know he will. He knows you."

"But what if it's my fault what if I had just let Adrien go maybe Chloe wouldn't have done it maybe if I hadn't let her go maybe if I had been more careful...she wouldn't be here now."

"We can't change the past. We can only move forward," Ladybug sang. "All we can do now is rescue Chloe from doom."

"But what if we could what if I could stop it. What if I can ask someone to change the scene."

"Marissa, you mustn't live in the past. Someone needs us all now," said Cat Noir, pointing in the direction where Chloe is imprisoned. "You can help us save her. You can help save our families and friends."

"You are right let's save her now."

Everyone ran to Chloe's prison, where Rodger was on guard. Oddly, he was the only one there.

They heard a song. "Burn the witch burn witch how dare she exist. Burn Burn the witch she is truly a bit- Burn the witch Burn the witch she dare harm the princess Burn the witch Burn the witch how dare she exist burn the witch!"

"No, please, no," Chloe sang. "I am not a witch. I never meant such harm. I only aimed to embarrass and humiliate."

"Probably a bad time to mention that is not any better," Ladybug pointed out.

"Burn the witch she is nothing more then a witch she dares to harm the princess and humiliate her Burn the witch Burn the witch she is no princess and thus she must thus must burn…!" They took her out of the cell and brought her to the stake.

"This is perfect, Music Queen," Hawk Moth sang. "Song Ladybug and Cat Noir will come to save the witch. And then the miraculous will be mine."

Just as the people were about to tie Chloe up, a yoyo snagged Chloe around the waist and pulled her away. Chloe found herself in the arms of Ladybug.

"Who dare Who dare Who dare Who dare Who dare free the witch that spiteful bitch we must burn the witch!"

"The princess doesn't want that," Cat Noir sang as he presented Marissa.

"She was merely foolish and not some kinda witch. Through her ordinance cruel she doesn't deserve this!" Marissa sang as she stood on stage.

"My daughter, surely you do not mean such things," Music Queen sang as she stood on stage.

"Mother?! How can this be?! Were you angry?"

"Yes. Yes, I was!" Music Queen sang. "I almost lost you, my precious child. And all because of some little witch thinking it funny to dump fruit punch on you! Now, as Music Queen, I can get you the justice you deserve!"

"This isn't justice, it's revenge….." Marissa sang she saw a guitar and grabbed it. Before she began to play. "I know how people feel I wanted Chloe to know I wanted her to understand that there was a way I stand back because I love him. Revenge isn't my place it's an act of disgrace revenge is nothing but a river if I could have power I would protect my friends if I could save the day I would because in more than me more than you. I'm then free I'm destiny evil won't prevail hear my emotions now hawk moth I challenge you."

Music Queen stared at her daughter for a moment. And then Hawk Moth sang to her. "Your daughter is no threat. Go after the heroes and get their jewels, the miraculous."

"I will, Hawk Moth," said Music Queen as she turned in their direction.

Marissa opened her father hoping she was right. Out came a cat-like miraculous. "I remember when I was young a story was told about hope and loss now Kitti show me what you got. Come out and let me see this kwami!"

A kwami showed herself and smiled. "I am Kitti, the white cat kwami. Please wear my miraculous, and you will gain the power of mimicry. All you need is to say Kitti, playtime."

She put the choker on. "How do I use your power the one special just to me?"

"You must choose who you wish to mimic, picture them in your mind, and say mimic. Then the power is yours. Of course, it helps if you have actually seen them," sang Kitti. "Shall we transform soon? Your mother seems to be giving the heroes a hard time."

"Hay mother listen closely and Hawk Moth look at me!" She sang in a cheerful tone.

Music Queen froze and Hawk Moth seemed to be her.

"Kitti, playtime!" Kitti went into the Miraculous and Marissa transformed. She had Cat Noir's outfit but hers was white and her tail was her hair becoming longer and twisting into a braid.

"Interesting," said Hawk Moth.

"Marissa, why would you transform in front of your mother?" Ladybug sang.

"This isn't any ordinary miraculous this isn't any ordinary challenge this isn't something one can take this can't be one stolen this can only be owned by one." She strummed her guitar. "Mimicry is my right." She charged and touched her mother's arm. "And such my power will be a music you played let's change the tide." A wave of water crashed at her mother sending her back.

Music Queen sat up and looked furious at her daughter. "You are grounded!" She sang and made the earth shake.

"Think now is a good time for a lucky charm?" Cat Noir asked Ladybug.

"I can't tell where the Akuma is," Ladybug sang.

"You aren't my mother so this ground won't shake. Listen closely queen this is me overthrowing you! Let's combined this power with something mimicry." She looked to cat noir touching his hand.

"I understand. Cataclysm!" Cat Noir sang and activated his power.

"Songa clysm." She made the music destroy her mother's clothing.

She screamed as this happened. She saw the dark purple paper and quickly grabbed it. She held it protectively.

"That's it!" Ladybug sang. "The paper has the Akuma. Lucky charm!"

The yoyo went into the air and made something appear. It was a flash from a camera.

"Okay?" Ladybug questioned.

"Take a picture it will last longer." Music Queen sang, regarding her lack of clothes.

That gave Ladybug and idea. "Okay. Say cheese!" She sang and then took a picture.

The flash was so bright it made Music Queen scream and cover her eyes. Cat Noir quickly grabbed the paper and tore it in half. The Akuma flew out and tried to escape.

"Before capturing….. Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug sang and threw the camera into the air.

The camera turned into a swarm of magic ladybugs which flew around the city and went to work at changing everything back. People smiled at being back in their normal clothes and being able to talk normally. Even the heroes.

"The Akuma!" Cat Noir shouted. "And I didn't sing it!"

Ladybug opened her yoyo and swung it to capture the Akuma. "Song's over, little Akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug caught the Akuma and pulled back. And then she opened it to reveal a little white butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly."

The mist covered Music Queen again, turning her back into Angelica. She woke and was confused.

"What happened? How did I get here?" she asked.

The heroes all fist-bumped and said, "Pound it."

"Excuse me, but could someone tell me what's going on?" Angelica asked. "What am I doing here? And why the heck is she here?"

"Excuse me?!" Chloe angrily asked. "You tried to execute me! Did you just forget?!"

"I did?!" Angelica asked in fear.

"You know akumas are normally responsible. They aren't doing it on purpose. It's not their actions."

"I didn't hurt my daughter, did I?" Angelica fearfully asked

"No." Marissa said in her suit.

"Yeah," said Ladybug. "Cat Noir rescued her and kept her safe."

"She's awesome," said Cat Noir, winking at Marissa.

"Okay," said Angelica. "I better call the hospital. Maybe the Miraculous cure brought her back there."

"No!" Ladybug quickly said. "Uh, you should go there. In fact, she'll probably call you."

"Okay," said Angelica. "Well, thank you, Ladybug, Cat Noir, and….. Uh…. Cat Blanc?"

"Kitten."

"Okay. Kitten," said Angelica. "See you around."

Angelica walked away to call a car. Once she was gone, Cat Noir picked up the paper and read it. He smiled.

"I think this belongs with its rightful owner," he said. "Great song too. She should sing it sometime."

"I'm sure she'll consider it." She said in a calm tone before Kitten left with it.

"We both should bug out too. We're about to change back," said Ladybug while pointing to her earrings, which were losing spots.

"Good idea," said Cat Noir. "Hey, LB, before we part ways, you think we could meet up at the hospital and visit Marissa?"

"I think she'd like that," said Ladybug. "I'll be there after I feed my kwami."

As Cat Noir left and found himself at the hospital. Marissa had transformed back and sat on the bed.

"You did great, Marissa," said Kitti, smiling. "Even if it was a little reckless transforming in front of a villain."

"It'll be fine. I won't let Hawk Moth hurt my family," said Marissa. She heard footsteps. "Hide. Quick."

Kitti hid and Angelica entered the room. She immediately hugged Marissa.

"My baby!" she cried. "I was so worried when I realized I was akumatized. I thought I hurt you. But here you are, safe and sound."

"Mom, I'm fine. You would never hurt me," said Marissa. Marissa took a deep breath and hugged her.

"I know, honey," said Angelica.

Marissa smiled at her. "Mom I love you."

And then Angelica heard a knock. "Who's there?"

A foot extended into the open. This was followed by the entire body. It was none other than Cat Noir.

"Is the lady allowed to have visitors?" He asked. "Cause I heard she's a fan."

Her cheeks blushed. "Cat Noir!"

"In the flesh," he said with his signature smile.

"Aren't you and Ladybug usually together?" Angelica asked, noticing his lack of a partner.

"Mom, who cares? This is cool." She hugged Cat Noir.

Cat Noir hugged her back and then found her phone. He grabbed it and held Marissa close to his face before clicking. That was when he returned it.

"Souvenir selfie," he said.

"Best day ever." Marissa hugged her phone her cheeks blushing.

Ladybug stuck her head and said, "Sorry I'm late, Cat. I entered through the children's ward. Lot of little kids."

She smiled even wider. "Ladybug, you're here too your so cool."

"Thanks," said Ladybug. "But I might've done something stupid."

"Like what?" Cat Noir asked.

"Mentioned I was here to see Marissa," said Ladybug. "When they heard, they went to work on a get well card and started begging to see her. Sorry, Marissa."

"Trust me this would have happened either way. Knowing my fans they'll come about sooner or later."

"Perhaps their favorite star could see them? With Paris' favorite cat and bug?" Cat Noir suggested.

"Sounds cool." Marissa played with her new choker.

"I'll walk you over," said Angelica.

With her mother's help and the heroes as escorts, Marissa made it to the children's ward where all of the kids were drawing pictures for her. One little girl lit up when she saw them.

"It's Marissa! And she's with Ladybug and Cat Noir!" she cheered.

"Yay!" They cheered as they gathered around her.

"No crowding. No crowding. The patient is still recovering," said Cat Noir.

"It's alright."

"Sorry," said the little girl.

"You sit over here, Marissa," said a nurse as she had her sit in a chair. "Everyone who's finished, line up and give Marissa your present. Everyone who hasn't finished, use this time to continue and finish."

The kids lined up and started giving Marissa their handcrafted presents. Some drew pictures, some folded paper animals, and a couple gave her a cookie.

"You're all very sweet," said Marissa.

"We love you, Marissa!" The kids happily said.

"It was a good thing you came today. The doctor said you can go home soon," said Angelica.

"Will you see your boyfriend when you get home?" another girl asked.

"Oh, you have a boyfriend?" Ladybug asked her.

"Well it's not official yet but I wanna ask Adrien to be my boyfriend." She said in a calm tone.

"Adrien from the posters?" a boy asked. "My big sister likes to kiss his picture. Made me so sick I had to come here."

"No it didn't," another boy said. "You had your tonsils taken."

"You really love him, huh?" Ladybug asked, smiling.

"Yes, he was the first guy to make me feel safe and happy." Marissa smiled holding her chest.

Cat Noir smiled at her and said, "You deserve true love. I'm sure you'll get it."

"I know you will," said Ladybug, smiling.

"Thank you," said Marissa.

"Marissa, do you think you could play a song for the little ones?" Angelica asked while handing her her guitar.

She nodded and took it. Cat Noir set up a keyboard he found while Ladybug grabbed a drum set someone brought.

"Need a band?" Cat Noir asked.

She nodded. The trio started playing their instruments.

Wise men say

Only fools rush in

But I can't help falling in love with you

Shall I stay?

Would it be a sin

If I can't help falling in love with you?

Like a river flows

Surely to the sea

Darling, so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand

Take my whole life too

For I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows

Surely to the sea

Darling, so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand

Take my whole life too

For I can't help falling in love with you

For I can't help falling in love with you

The children clapped for the trio and their song. The three bowed to their audience and then gathered for a picture.

"Now, I think you kids should rest up," said Ladybug.

"You too," said Cat Noir. "Adrien will want you in tip-top shape."

"Yeah, I can't wait." As she smiled her mother frowned when she got a call.

Marissa looked confused. "What's wrong?"

"Your ex is coming to Paris."

"Huh?!" Everyone gasped.
