Snowy pushed my chair out of the elevator, Mom had gone shortly after my dad got bodily removed. I patted Ruby on the head, she was asleep in my lap. All four of us were silent after Mom left, "Davaid could've died you bastard!" we turned our heads, Mom and Dad were arguing in the lobby, "I know, that's why I ran," I dug my fingernails into my hand, "Davaid, don't do that, you're already injured," said Snowy. She looked worried for the first time I could remember, "okay Snowy," her eyes were big and pleading, I wanted to hug her.

My Dad tried approaching me, but Snowy stepped in between us, "whoa, Elizabeth, train your stupid pet some manners, I want to see my son," Mom just stood there, "still not moving, huh?" He grabbed a Pokeball, and tossed it. My eyes widened, "Dad… that Houndoom that attacked me so long ago, is your Pokemon?" even after I saw it in our home being nice to him that night, I wanted to believe it wasn't his Pokemon. My dad raised an eyebrow, "yeah, what about it?"

I closed my eyes, looked away for a second, and then took a deep breath. Ruby and Volpsei seemed to somehow know what was going on, despite one of them being asleep, "Dad, you had that thing try to kill me didn't you?" he nodded, "yes I did, you got a problem with that," I sighed, "Snowy, don't waste your energy on his Houndoom, I want to get as far from this piece of shit as I can," she nodded, glared at my "dad" and then turned his focus on moving my wheelchair.

"Hey! Get the hell back here!" I turned back for a second, "get over here before I have Houndoom break your other leg!" he threatened. After we were several yards away from the door, Ruby turned around, and started growling. I could hear my dad laughing, "so you've got yourself a pet as dumb as Snowy!" that broke me trying to be civil. I tapped on Snowy's back, "turn this thing around, I wanna tell this guy something," for the first time in a while Snowy and I were equally pissed the hell off.

"First off, you do not insult my friend, second thing's second, Snowy and Ruby are better people than you'll ever be," I could see Mom watch the whole thing go down from inside the hospital. Dad just grinned, "we'll see who's talking when my Houndoom gets its jaws around your throat!" it jumped up, only for Volpsei of all Pokemon to pin it down. I heard an audible snap when the two landed, Dad's Houndoom at the bare minimum had some broken bones now. The Ninetales just sat on its body while it squirmed underneath him. Snowy just sat, awed by her son's sheer hatred that radiated off of him being.

I felt my heart thumping, every ounce of blood in my body was boiling, "you are going to take your Pokemon, turn around, and leave. I do not want to see you threaten my trainer ever again, you hear?" Davaid's father crossed his arms, "if I don't?" I put my paw on the Houndoom's throat, it screamed in pain, "this thing's corpse is going to be used to bash your rib cage in," he took a step back. He looked up at Davaid, "h-hey! Tell your Pokemon to calm down, we can talk this out!"

The Houndoom under Volpsei looked scared for its life. Even if it tried killing me, I felt bad for it. It had to have my scumbag of a father be its trainer. It didn't deserve to die for just following its trainer's orders "listen up you bastard, the moment Volpsei gets off of your Pokemon, take it to a Pokemon Center, and stay the hell out of my life," I looked at my Ninetales in the eyes. We both nodded, and Volpsei let off of it, Dad pulled the Hondoom's Pokeball, and returned it. He then ran the exact same way he did all that while ago. Just as quickly as he was pissed off, Volspei padded on over, tails wagging. I patted on my lap, "c'mere buddy," he carefully got up on my lap, making sure to not aggravate my leg.

"Volpsei, thank you," I wrapped my arms around him, his tails were wagging like crazy. His face wasn't the snarling, Snowy-like scowl, just his signature grin. Ruby and Snowy just stared at him, "Davaid, you don't need to thank me, I'm just glad that bad guy is gone, "Davaid are you okay?" Mom ran out of the hospital doors, Rush was at her heels, "yup, thanks to Volpsei here," she put her hands on her hips, and grinned. She patted Volpsei on the head, he barked, then jumped out of my lap.

"So Mom, when is the Pokemon League happening?" she put a hand on her chin, "it should be starting in at least a month, they're still waiting for the rest of the trainers to get their eighth gym badge and show up," I nodded. We both turned to Volpsei, who was trying to get Snowy to play with him, "gee, he sure does turn his attitude around quickly," said Mom, "he probably got that anger of his from Snowy."

I was laid down on my bed in our hotel room, an idea came to mind, "Mom, you know how I stopped going to trainer school?" she nodded, "of courses I do. Mr. Kukui was making a fuss about how you never come to class!" she patted me on the head, "why do you ask, dear?" I shrugged, "I was hoping I could go back to Alola, and give it another shot after the Pokemon League blows over," I looked at my leg, "and when my leg heals."

Mom grinned, "of course you can, but Snowy is coming with you to make sure you stay out of trouble!" Snowy and I gave each other a huge grin.
