I was in the best seat in the stadium, I was right up close to get a good view of everything. On the field, "this is gonna be awesome!" It was the first day of the Pokemon League! Ash's friends also got good seats, which were right beside mine. In the center stood CHampion Diantha holding a microphone, "greetings Lumiose City!" the entire crowd exploded into cheers, "today is a very special day for many trainers, where they can show they are the best of the best, and get a chance to take on the Elite Four!" after she had said that the brackets were displayed on a huge screen, "before we truly begin, I'd like to congratulate every trainer who's made it to this point!"

The first two people up to the field was the same kid Mom fought a few weeks ago and some random named Zack. Ash took a seat in between me and his friends, "that guy looks familiar," he said, "on our right, we have a trainer all the way from Sinnoh, Paul Shinji, who has come to winning multiple Pokemon Leagues!" Ash's usual friendly expression changed to a much more serious expression, "on our left we have a trainer from Santalune City! Zack Moncha!" he awkwardly grinned while waving at the crowd. Paul on the other hand just stood there with a scowl.

"Paul grabbed a Pokeball from his belt, Go Froslass!" Zack's nervous expression changed to a battle ready one, he threw Pokeball, and out came an Umbreon, "let the first battle begin!" on the screen was pictures of both trainers and three Pokeballs, no full teams of six for the start of this whole thing. Zack raised his arm, "use Cosmic Power!" he was going to the long game, "Ice Beam," Frosslass fired, only to hit a fake Umbreon. It had used Double Team by the looks of it, Zack didn't even give an order, "hmph, you think that's going to work?" Paul extended his arm, "Blizzard!"

Before Froslass could even attack, the Umbreon was right in its face, "Foul Play!" In an instant, Froslass wad down, "Froslass is unable to battle! Paul looked visibly angry, "Electivire let's go!"

The two stood for all but second, "Electric Punch!" it became a blur, and Umbreon was sent flying, "Umbreon is unable to battle!" Zack sighed, "you did well buddy," he carried his partner in his arms over to a nearby bench, then got back into the battle, "go Quagsire!" smart, a Water Ground Type Pokemon is tough to deal with, "Magnitude!" Clemont just stared for a second, "that's a gamble," Ash looked at him, "what do you mean?" I put my thumb under my chin, "isn't that like a randomized Earthquake?" Clemont nodded, "it could be stronger than Earthquake or as weak as a Sand Attack."

Electivire didn't look too bothered by the Magnitude, it must've been a Magnitude 1, the weakest possible variant, "Giga Impact!" yelled Paul, "use Aqua Jet!" The two collided, and dirt was thrown everywhere, making it hard to see the outcome of that clash. It was very likely the Electivire won that encounter as Giga Impact is known for being one of the strongest attacks in the world. The smoke cleared and the Electivire was still standing, Quagsire was knocked out. Zack returned his down Pokemon, "well, I'm kinda backed into a corner here!" he smiled, "I know I'm not going to win, but I gave it my all!" he grabbed his final Pokeball, and threw it.

A Charizard landed on the ground, let out a mighty roar, and then turned to face its trainer, "give it your all, okay Fuji?" it nodded, before facing its foe, "Flamethrower!" ordered Zack, "use Thunderbolt!" Charizard let out one of the strongest Flamethrowers I've ever seen while Electivire shot its attack. Last second Charizard moved a couple of feet to the side, avoiding the attack, and landing its Flamethrower right on mark.

Electivire still stood, but it was panting, and looked like it was on the verge of defeat. One issue with Giga Impact was just how much energy it takes out of its user. Paul didn't seem to care for it however, "Giga Impact!" Electivire shockingly had enough energy to pull another one of those off!" CHarizard couldn't move in time, and took the blunt of the attack. It was sent flying onto its back, it was out cold, "Charizard is unable to battle! Paul from Accumula Town is the winner!"

Zack wasn't even bothered by his loss, he knelt down beside his downed Pokemon, which had just regained consciousness, "you did well Fuji," he patted its neck, "you're too soft with your Pokemon," said Paul, "if you aren't rough on them, they won't ever get strong!" Zack ignored him, "now c'mon, let's get you and the others healed up," he returned his Pokemon, retrieved his Umbreon from the bench, and got up to leave.

Zack sighed, "man, that was not a good round for us," the three Pokemon that participated stared at the, "hey now, raise those chins of yours! We got further than we ever thought we would!" he hugged the three of them, "now, let's go home, Mom and Dad said they were gonna throw a party for us when we return."

Elizabeth gotten up from the bench in the stadium's locker room, she took one big breath, "Snowy, we're up next," the Ninetales got up, "c'mon Volpsei, we don't want to be late," he barked, then trotted on over.

For a moment me and Snowy stared into each other's eyes, for years we dreamed of a moment like this one; the thrill of knowing this was a big moment for both of us. Volpsei took a seat on the nearby bench, and howled for us to start. I could see Davaid's grin, he was holding Ruby on his lap. He showed up despite his leg still not being healed yet. "On the left we have a trainer from Alola! It's Elizabeth Hyles!" I waved to the crowd while Snowy calmly sat down. On the other side of the field stood our opponent, "on our right, we have a trainer from Vaniville Town, make some noise for Calem!"

Snowy and I looked at each other again. We were one and the same for "it's our time to shine girl," I grabbed a Pokeball from my pocket.

Davaid's eyes were fixed on the battlefield until Ruby growled at somebody, "may I sit here?"
