Beep beep beep the alarm clock went off, I was tired as hell because of last night. I lazily got up, then looked at a note on the nightstand, "me and Snowy went to go train for the next round, there's leftovers in the mini fridge if you're hungry!" Volpsei climbed up onto the bed, "hey Davaid!" he licked my face while happily panting, "mornin' buddy," I hugged him while he greeted me. Not one thing in the world could get me to hate this Ninetales, he just always puts a smile on my face, "we're going to be watching some more League battles, wanna come Volpsei?" he jumped and barked, "of course I do!" he got off of me so I could get ready. I looked to the side, Ruby was sprawled out on her back, "hey Ruby," I poked her a couple of times, and waited. Ruby was up in a flash, then jumped on me, "g'mornin Ruby," she barked a couple of times, licked my cheek, and jumped down.

Volpsei brought over my wheelchair and Ruby helped me get into it, "thank Arceus for the two of you." I rolled into the kitchen to make them both something to eat. I stopped when I saw the rest of my Team's Pokeballs on a nearby tabel. I let them all out, it's been god knows how long since I've let them out! Oasis slithered up to me, eyed my leg for a second, then rubbed her head against mine. Zacian sat down in front of me, "how's the leg?" she asked, "still busted, but I'll live," and Axl just sat and stared at me. I rolled over to him, "hey Axl," he licked my cast before looking up at me. I just kept petting him for a couple of seconds, "I'm going to make you all breakfast now."

I made much more pancakes for my Pokemon this time around, I kept most of them in Pokeballs for the last couple of weeks. I settled plates with a stack of pancakes in front of my Pokemon. I rolled next to Ruby, and waited for them to finish their food. I just had a piece of toast with some jelly on it. I turned on the T.V then turned to the "League" channel, "yesterday we had two exciting battles, Paul versus Zack and Elizabeth versus callum!" they then started going into details about each battle, and who was the favored participant in each of them. Hell, they even started going into details about each trainer's background. When they got to Mom's, they only said, "just a trainer from Alola with a dream."

I looked down to see Axl sitting in front of me, still staring at my leg, "Axl, you don't need to worry about me," I patted him on the head, "trust me, I'll be fine," I rubbed his jaw, which made him nearly doze off. I then remembered what today was, "are you guys done eating?" my Pokemon didn't need to answer, their plates were cleaned of any pancakes placed on them, "alright then," I quickly collected their plates and placed them in the sink. Luckily I went to sleep in my regular clothes. I recalled my Pokemon into their Pokeballs, and got out the door.

I looked at my watch, I was overreacting, there was at least another two for three hours before the first battle would start. There was plenty of time to look around before I had to show up. So I rolled around, letting out Volpsei and Ruby for a nice morning stroll before the battles. We didn't think much about where we were heading until we stopped past Sycamore's lab, "hey, we can check up on Rexy," that sounded like a nice idea. It's been a while since I last saw him. I rolled up the ramp, and knocked on the door. A couple seconds later Professor Sycamore opened the door, "ah! Davaid, I heard the news about your leg," I shrugged, "it's not that big of a deal, it'll be back to normal in a few weeks."

"So, is there any reason why you showed up today?" I shook my head, "I was just wandering around before the League's battle gets started, then I got here." I then pointed behind him, "I also figured I should check up on Rexy, see how he's doing and whatnot," Sycamore stepped aside for me to enter, "let me get Rexy for ya, I'm sure he'll love to see you!" while I waited I looked around the lobby. It was full of those dumb magazines nobody reads, had those fake bushes, and some other crap.

I jumped when I heard a mighty roar, "woah Rexy, calm down!" the Tyrantrum stopped a couple of feet in front of me, and lowered his head to my level. I relaxed a little bit when I realised it was just him, "hey Rexy, long time no see!" I placed my hand on his jaw bone, and started rubbing it. Rexy licked my face, which nearly knocked me over due to his sheer size. I hugged his head, enjoying the moment, "you've been behaving for Professor Sycamore?" he roared, making my ears ring. I patted him, "I'm going to bring you to Alola in a couple of weeks when my leg heals," Rexy seemed to like that idea because he was even happier than when he first saw me again.

I took a step outside after saying my goodbyes to Sycamore and Rexy, "I'll try and be back later!" I patted Ruby on the back while we started up on our way to the Pokemon Stadium. We still had a good hour or two to get there, "hey, can I speak with you?" I turned to see some lady standing there. I could tell immediately by her attire that she worked for Team Flare, so I kept on going, "Volpsei, Ruby, just ignore her, we don't want any trouble."the lady rushed in front of me, "hey! I'm talking to you!"

She sent out a Pokemon, "you are going to come with me, or you are going to have some trouble," I sighed, "lady, I'm not going anywhere except for where I planned on going," I knew I was more than likely screwed if a battle broke out. Usually Snowy would easily beat whoever attacked us, but she was with Mom right now. The Pokemon she sent out looked pretty tough, "then I guess we're going to have a problem," I sent out Axl and the lady stopped for a second. One thing I noticed is that his tail was actually wagging when he saw the lady, "Mightyena, is that you?"

He walked up closer to her, "what are you doing with this pathetic excuse of a trainer?" she patted Axl on the head, "sit back while I set you free from his grasp," what really scared me was that the Mightyena actually sat down, "Axl, I thought you hated being apart of Team Flare," the lady grinned, "you think he'd choose you over the person who raised him?" she pointed forward. "Now, Liepard use Shadow Claw!" I looked over at Ruby, "use Flamethrower," I just kept my eyes on Axl while Ruby easily knocked out the Liepard in one hit.

The lady sent out a Muk and had it use Sludge Bomb on Ruby, "shit!" I wasn't worried about whether or not Ruby could take the hit. It was if she would get poisoned by it or not. Ruby slowly got up and looked back at me. Her cheeks were purple and her breathing had slowed down a lot. She stumbled a bit when she turned back to her opponent, "Ruby get over here!" I stared at Axl who was turning to me, and back at the lady. He titled his head before realising the state Ruby was in, I ran in between the Muk and my friend, "enough!" After I had said this, Axl easily defeated the Muk, turned, and growled at the person who raised him.

"You are betraying me for that pathetic filth?" she chuckled, "well, I guess you'll be joining him in chains," I lowered a Lum berry to Ruby, I didn't have any Pecha berries, but I heard why Lum berries were used in Full Heals. She took a bite out of the berry, her purple cheeks returned to normal, and her breathing went back to a regular state. Axl looked back at me, "now boys!" a bunch of Team Flare grunts came out of an alleyway, and surrounded us. Dad was the last one out of the alley. His ugly grin said it all; he was a part of this.

"Now send out all of your Pokemon, we're going to restrain them…" I threw out Volpsei's Pokeball first, "go find Mom and Snowy," I whispered to him. Volpsei nodded, jumped over a grunt, and even used Flamethrower to block them off from him, and he ran. I threw Zacian's Pokeball, "go protect Volpsei, okay?" she nodded, before I felt something hit the back of my head.

I opened my eyes, me, Ruby, Oasis, and Axl were in a jail cell. My hands were attached to the walls, Ruby and Axl had muzzles and chains holding them down. Oasis seemed to be entirely chained to the wall and floor. On the other side of the jail's bars was Dad's Houndoom, but no Dad. one thing that made me smile was that Zacian and Volpsei were not here with us. There was a slither of a chance that one of them got to Mom and Snowy, "so much for watching that league match."
