I opened my eyes, there was something keeping my mouth shut, "Ruby you're awake!" whispered Davaid, he was chained up to the wall. Something barked and snarled at him, it was his father's Houndoom, "none of you better be speaking," he charged up what looked like a Fire Fang to try and scare Davaid a bit. He turned to me, "what the hell do you want?" I shrugged, "I don't get why you would help your trainer do this, "it's because that's what a Houndoom should do; follow its trainer's commands without question." this guy was stupid as hell, "hey you little brat," Davaid's father stepped out from behind his Pokemon, he had a shit eating grin when he saw Davaid lookup. I took a moment to see our surroundings, "you think just because you sent your stupid Ninetales to get help, that any will show up?"

Davaid just smiled, "knowing Volpsei, he'll find somebody to help me out."

"Are you sure about that?" said Dad, he pulled out a remote, and hit a button on it, "take a look," Volpsei was being chased by several Team Flare members. Each of them were firing attacks at him, but the Ninetales avoided every single strike, "I'll put money on him getting killed," he looked utterly shocked when he saw Zacian slam down on the ground, and completely wiped out the grunts. She turned to Volpsei, barked something, then started running in the direction the grunts came from. Volpsei nodded, then kept on running in the opposite direction.

"What the hell?" he turned to me, "where did you get a legendary Pokemon?" I tilted my head, "oh Zacian, she just wanted to come along with me, I guess she's pretty strong, huh?" I closed my eyes for a second, "well, it won't matter, she can easily be defeated." said Dad, he walked into our cell, took off Ruby and Axl's muzzles, then walked out. A second later he dropped food out in front of me and my Pokemon, "here's your rations, you better eat them, we need you alive."

After that Dad left his Houndoom to watch over us while we attempted to eat. My hands were still cuffed to the wall, Ruby acted like she couldn't eat while Axl threw his food to the other side of the room. Dad's Houndoom growled at us, Ruby whined, and he walked over. Oasis then hit him with a Hydro Pump! He was sent into a wall, Houndoom shook his head, but then a bit of the rubble fell on him; he was stuck. Ruby then burnt her chains off, Axl chewed through his, then went to help me. I looked over at Oasis, it looked like she broke the chains off of her, and she was just coiled up in the corner.

My hands had never felt better when they were released, "well, I can't really walk out, even if I wanted to." my leg definitely wasn't in any shape for me to run. Oasis wrapped her body around me, then carried me to the cell door, "thanks girl," she licked my face. I heard Houndoom crying and remembered that he was crushed under some rubble. I turned and stared at him for a couple of minutes, "hold it Oasis, we can't leave him like that," she rolled her eyes, and carried me over to the downed Pokemon.

I reached out to pet him, but he just growled at me, "hey now, I just wanna help you," he snarled again. He got ready to howl, "Hydro Pump," Oasis knocked him out with that hit. I sighed, "sorry pal." I patted my friend, "c'mon, let's get outta here."

We stopped when we ran into Dad, who was likely coming back to check up on us, "how the hell did you get out?" I shrugged, "you should check on your Houndoom, he ain't doing too well." he shook his head, "I knew that pile of trash couldn't do anything right," he pulled out a silver Pokeball, "I guess now I can try out this new Pokemon I caught," he threw it, and out came a Scizor.

I tapped my Mega RIng, only to tap my wrist, "shit," they took that? I looked over at Ruby, the collar that held her Megastone was gone, "you think we'd let you keep those things?" Dad pulled out my Mega Ring and Ruby's collar. I clenched my fist. Ruby turned to me and nodded, "alright girl, let's do this!" I wasn't letting this damned bastard steal something else from me, he placed the collar around his Pokemon's neck, and he tapped the Mega Ring. he stomped on the ground, "what? This doesn't work?" Ruby launched a Fire Blast, knocking out Scizor instantly.

"Oasis, hit him with an Ice Beam for me," she nodded, shooting an attack at my father, freezing him up in a block of ice. I swiped the collar off of the Sizor and grabbed my Mega Ring, "c'mere Ruby," she padded over, and I tied it around her neck again, "right where it belongs." I fixed the Mega RIng back around my wrist, "much better," Ruby jumped when we heard some slow clapping come from the shadows of the hallway… Malva of the Elite Four stepped out, "bravo, you managed to free yourselves…" she sent out her own Houndoom, "sadly, it's time to end your journey here and now."

An Ice Beam whistled past her Houndoom's head, "Davaid!" Mom stepped forward with a calm expression, "Volpsei told us everything." Snowy jumped in front of me, "wait, where's Zacian?" my question was answered when Zacian walked up beside me, "you could've had me fight those grunts for you." I wanted to jump and give them a hug, but I definitely couldn't, not right now. Malva grinned, "so you're still battling after I crushed you?" Mom chuckled, "one lost isn't going to keep me down for long… you have 30 seconds to leave before me and Snowy rip this place to shreds." Malva's Houndoom Mega Evolved, and shot a Flamethrower at Snowy.
