I was laid down, sprawled out on the bed, I was bored as hell. There wasn't much to do here in my hotel room, especially when my leg was still broken. In the corner of the room, Zacian and Axl were playing tug of war, the latter was struggling, while the former giggled. The legendary Pokemon eventually let go of the sock, letting the Mightyena win. Oasis was laying by the AC on a blanket, she hadn't left that since this morning. On the other bed laid Ruby, she was out like a light. Well, she was pretending to, she occasionally peeked over at me, so I got an idea, "hey Ruby…" she immediately lifted her head. I patted an empty spot on my bed, "c'mere girl!"

I crawled up onto the bed, laid down next to my trainer, and awaited for whatever he was about to ask of me. Davaid reached out, cuffed my cheek, and gave me a nice rub on the side of my neck. I happily crawled closer to his face, "it's been awhile since we got time to just hang out, huh Ruby?" Davaid visibility relaxed when I rested my head on his arm. I barked and wagged my tail, the last time we did get some down time, it was when he brushed me while taking a short break. I was taken out of my thoughts when Davaid scratched a spot that had started itching. I leaned into his hand, and let out a low howl. I then started to lick Davaid's cheek, which got a good laugh out of him. My trainer pulled me into a hug, and I happily embraced it.

Snowy grunted when she avoided one of Volpsei's attacks, "don't slow down with those," the Ninetales raised an eyebrow, "Mom, are you sure? You're not looking too good…" she jumped when I felt a hand be placed on my shoulder, "Snowy, are you sure you can still handle a full on League match?" I nodded, "yes I am," I turned back to Volpsei, "just keep shooting those Flamethrowers, I will be fine." Volpsei only looked more concerned for her, before shooting another.

I closed my eyes after I dodged the attack, I took a long, deep breath, and charged forward. Volpsei fired another Flamethrower, which I narrowly avoided. I wasn't anywhere near as fast when I wasn't injured, so I wasn't too sure about being able to relax for a second in a battle given that fact. I gritted my teeth after I tapped Volpsei on the snout, "Mom, are you okay?" he whimpered when he saw my expression. I sighed, "I'm sorry Volpsei, you're not the problem, it's my speed." I licked the top of his head to try and cheer him up, "you need a break Mom, you're looking tired." Volpsei pouted. He was right, which annoyed me, and Volpsei definitely wouldn't continue helping me train unless I did get some rest first. Curse his concerns, I laid down, and took in some fresh air.

Volpsei laid down on my side, being careful about my burn, and licked my cheek. I rolled my eyes when I heard Volpsei start to snore while resting on my shoulder, he was too damn cute for his own good. I covered him with my tails while Elizabeth sat down beside me, "I guess somebody can get through your stubbornness huh girl?" she said while patting my head, "there's just something about Volpsei that makes me want to listen to him.'' After I said this, Volpsei rolled over onto his back, and his tongue was hanging out. Elizabeth started rubbing his belly while giggling like she did when I did something she considered "cute".

Tyler pounded his fist on his desk, "that damn brat got away!" he sneezed. After being frozen in a solid block of ice, Tyler was a bit sick, "don't worry, we'll get him once we finally seize control of Lumiose." said a woman's voice, Malva was sitting on the other side of the room, petting her Houndoom, "then we will use him as a hostage to keep that trainer off of us." the Elite Four member peeked over at Tyler's Houndoom. The poor thing was covered in lashes for failing to keep their prisoner inside of their cell, "I don't want him anymore, he's a disgrace." Malva nodded, "Houndoom, I believe you know what it is time for." her Pokemon adopted a malicious grin, and walked up to the shiny Houndoom.

I looked over at Tyler and pleaded for him to change his mind; Malva's Houndoom stood over me, "just hold still, this will only hurt a lot!" he said, before biting down on my paw. I howled in pain, I stared directly into his eyes… the same person that had given me a home all those years ago was gone. They were stone cold, not even shedding a single tear. I completely ignored the Pokemon standing on top of me clawing at my back. Everything I did was for Tyler's best interest, to hear his approval, and he was just letting me get killed! The Houndoom stopped tearing me apart, my body felt like it was on fire. Malva then walked over to Tyler's desk and pressed a button, "remove this Houndoom from our office." not long after, a grunt snatched me into the air, and carried me out of the room.

I was dumped onto the ground on a sidewalk, I was abandoned once more…

Zack completely stopped when he saw a shiny Houndoom covered in blood, "holy shit!" He jumped back in shock. The young boy and his Umbreon ran forward, "it's alive…" he mused, "hey Houndoom," the Pokemon weakly turned its head to Zack, before it turned away from him, "hey Umbreon, use WIsh on him, we're not leaving him." his partner nodded, and most of Houndoom's were healed. All except for the major ones such as his mangled paw, back, and side. Zack grunted when he lifted the Pokemon's body, "well, looks like that party back at home is going to have to wait!"

Snowy grinned when at how much quicker she's getting despite her wounds, she made it to Volpsei in 20 seconds this time around. Still much slower than she is at her peak, but much better than earlier, "this is good!" she cheered. Volpsei then licked her cheek, "can we stop training for now? My throat hurts!" he had been shooting Flamethrowers nearly all day, which had started giving him a sore throat, "of course we can, thank you for helping!" Snowy planted a kiss on his forehead, before throwing Volpsei on her back. Elizabeth gave a thumbs up, "looks like we will be ready for round two, huh?"

When we had entered our hotel room, Davaid was still sprawled out on the bed, Ruby was sprawled out on top of him. One was snoring, scratch that, both of them were. In the corner of the room, Axl was using Zacian as a pillow, while Zacian herself was still awake, "greetings, Snowy. How was training?" I shrugged, "not too bad," Volpsei butted in, "I shot too many Flamethrowers today!" he jumped off my back, and then got to Davaid who was still sleeping despite the noise. Elizabeth ruffled Volpsei's fur after he flopped over onto his trainer, "get some rest Snowy, you pushed yourself a lot today."

"I'm not tired-" I was cut off when Elizabeth lifted me into the air, sat down on our bed, and kissed my cheek. She caressed the back of my head, I felt my eyelids begin to droop, curse Elizabeth's arms for being too comfy. She giggled, "you seem tired to me," she laid down, using me as a teddy bear. I felt like a Vulpix again, "fine… I'll get some rest." Elizabeth closed her eyes after turning off the lamp, "goodnight girl."

"Goodnight Mom."

Zacian peeked out the window, took a sniff, and then laid her head over Axl. The Mightyena had been trying to get her to play all day yesterday, so today she gave it a chance. The legendary couldn't deny that it was fun. She closed her eyes, "I'll try and get Zamazenta to hang out with us sometime."
