"Okay guys, tomorrow is going to be the final battle in the Pokemon League!" Mom said to her team. They all nodded with serious looks in their eyes, "I just wanted to thank you all for helping me get this far, and even if we lose the championship, I'm still happy that you all were here with me tonight." With that, her team embraced her in a big group hug, well all of them except Eniac. He was never one for hugs, so he just smiled while the rest of Mom's team nearly smothered her.
"I think we are facing Ash tomorrow, correct?" Mom nodded again, "yup, it's going to be a full team round, just like the last couple of rounds."
Deep down, I was more excited to see how much that Pikachu has grown since we last battled. Back then, I knew if I wanted to, I could've won that battle easily, had it not been for Team Rocket interrupting it. Mom crouched in front of me, "now, I don't want you pushing yourself over the edge if you take a big hit again, okay?" I shook my head, "Elizabeth, do not worry about me. I don't stop until I've collapsed." she shook her head at this, "Snowy, just don't go overboard for me, okay?" I nodded.
The very reason why she told me this was clear to me, but I didn't see a reason as to why she would worry. I doubted any Pokemon could push me over the edge like that again.
The Hotel Room opened again and Davaid walked in with Zacian right behind him, "hey Mom!" He was carrying a couple of take out boxes. Zacian was balancing a few take out boxes on her head as well, "hey Davaid," Elizabeth greeted. Davaid handed her a take out box, before giving one to each of her team, including me. He then opened the boxes for us, "I got a few things for you guys, gotta get your energy up for tomorrow right?" they all nodded and dug in.
"And Snowy," Davaid placed his hands on my shoulders, "good luck," he looked me dead in the eyes when he said that. They weren't serious, but they were sincere. What broke me was the hug, "tomorrow's your big day girl, so give it your all," I nodded while holding back my tears. Davaid gave me a thumbs up, "now dig in, you need all the energy you can get tomorrow." he ruffled my fur before helping Zacian with the other take out boxes.
That fired me up with determination, I started eating while developing a strategy for each of Ash's Pokemon that I knew about. Tomorrow will be my biggest battle since Necromza.
That night I have never slept better.
beep* *beep* *BEEP* Elizabeth hit the snooze button, before getting up, and getting ready. Davaid and his Pokemon woke up and stretched. Volpsei got up and pawed me, "do you need something?" he shook his head, "good luck Mom," he cuddled up into my mane. Davaid was taking care of the rest of his mother's team, giving them their breakfast, and giving each of them individually a pep talk.
Volpsei got up off of me so I could get my own breakfast, and waited with next to Ruby.
"Don't think I forgot about you guys now," he said before giving each of his own Pokemon their bowls full of food.
Elizabeth finally came out of the bathroom, and Davaid walked in it to brush his teeth. She looked around the room while we ate with a big smile, "I've got a good feeling about today."
I sat down next to Elizabeth in the stadium locker rooms, "you ready Snowy?" I barked, "is that even a question anymore?" she grinned, "well, let's win this!" Suddenly the Stadium shook like crazy.
"What the hell was that?" both of us exclaimed before running out onto the field.
A bunch of Team Flare members flooded the stadium and some of the stands, and there was a giant hole in the wall. Likely that was where they came in, on top of that, Ash and his own Pokemon were captured and were chained up, "wait, where is Davaid?" Ruby landed right beside me in her Mega form, "Ruby what is going on!" she turned for a second, before turning it back to what she was fighting; a Charizard with Tyler on its back.
"I had Volpsei keep watch of Davaid after having him hide in a bathroom somewhere." she quickly answered before shooting a Flamethrower at Tyler.
The sound of Crutches could be heard behind us, "Ruby, use dark pulse on that Charizard," she did it almost immediately. Davaid was behind us, "Davaid! Get you and your Pokemon out of here!" I tried saying before getting batted away by the Charizard.
I hit a stadium wall, but I didn't fall to the ground. Instead I stood there with my eyes closed, nothing but hatred for this organization and for Tyler grew, and grew, and grew. Today was supposed to be me and Elizabeth's finals. I heard Ruby actually land a hit on the Charizard, which snapped me right up…
My vision was slightly blurry from being thrown, but I can see that Ruby was on her back end and tired. I kicked into gear after letting out a blood curdling scream, and used Moonblast on Charizard, which got stopped by what looked like an Overheat, "so your Ninetales isn't as much of a pushover as I thought." a Team Flare Admin stepped forward. Beside him was a Pyroar, "use-" he was cut off as soon as I knocked him and his Pokemon out with a Blizzard.
Ruby got hit again, which broke the last straw for her. The Houndoom collapsed to the ground, completely out of breath, and no longer mega evolved. Elizabeth had sent out Smalg, without a thought, I ran in and retrieved Ruby, getting her on my back, and over to where Davaid was.
"Give up, you aren't winning this time around." Tyler said with an ugly grin on his face. A bunch of grunts started backing him up, easily overwhelming Smalg, "now!" a mechanical arm snatched Davaid, "no you fucking don't." I stopped the arm for a second with Telekinesis, before everything went black.
