When morning dawns, Naruto wakes up sandwiched between his parents. Various members of the Order of Steve are cooking soup and pancakes for breakfast, so Naruto heads over to grab some. Slowly, the rest of the allies at the Temple of Jashin wake up. They eat breakfast and head out, back to the Leaf, leaving the Order of Jashin to clean up their sacred Temple. Naruto promises to contact a builder he knows called Tazuna and see if he can help fix up the Temple.
Everyone, with the exception of the Sand ninjas, heads to the Leaf. The Mist ninjas go to the Leaf because Mei wants to reclaim Namiko. The Sand Ninjas go back home to bury Rasa. Akatsuki goes to the Leaf because they arranged to meet Isobu's Guards there once Chomei's Guards have found them. (Mostly Nagato, Yahiko and Konan just want to see Kimiko.) The group of reanimated shinobi also heads to the Leaf to help keep an eye on Madara.
Their group travels slowly because of all the injured, and Naruto spends most of the trip flying around his parents and telling them as much as he can about his entire life. Iruka-ni is in too much pain to walk, so he is being carried on a stretcher by a couple of members of the Order of Steve. Occasionally, Naruto flies over to see how he is doing, and every time, Iruka tells him he should really be walking so he doesn't lose muscle mass in his legs.
"Hush, Iruka, you need to rest," Kohari says, after the third time this happens.
When they get close to the Order of Steve's campsite, most of the Order leaves to return to their camp. The ones carrying the injured stay with the group, along with Burifu's older brother. "I have to tell Burifu about Grandfather Pantsu," Burifu's brother says, self-importantly. "And our father died in the battle too. I have to look after her now."
"Really?" says Naruto, tipping his head to one side. "Burifu told me that she doesn't see you as her brother any more than any of the other brothers in the Order, 'tebayo. I think you only want to take responsibility for her because if you do you'll be the temporary Leader until she's old enough."
"So what if I do?" says Burifu's brother, sticking his chin out. "Who's going to stop me? You? I'm higher ranked than you, and it's not like anyone else will care."
"I don't like it," says Iruka, lifting his head up off the stretcher.
"But you can't stop me," he says. Then he takes off at a run, obviously intending to get Burifu before anyone can stop him.
"I gotta deal with this," says Naruto, turning to his parents. "I'll see you at home, 'tebayo." He flies off after Burifu's brother, who is very, very fast. Naruto catches up with Burifu's Brother at his front gate. Burifu's brother is doubled over, panting and trying to catch his breath.
Kimiko is sitting on their front steps with a little girl Naruto doesn't recognize. The little girl has Uzumaki-red hair that tumbles around her face in soft ringlets. She's wearing a dark blue skirt and an orange t-shirt. Tied around her neck on a leather strap is an old pipe like Gramps Pants's pipe.
"Hello!" calls Naruto, waving at the girls.
Burifu's brother straightens up. "I've come for Burifu!" he says loudly, drowning out Naruto's 'hello'.
"I'm to stay here from now on," says the curly-haired girl firmly.
Naruto does a double take as he realizes who the little girl is. "BURIFU?! What happened to you, dattebayo?!"
"Grandma gave her a bath," says Kimiko shyly. She glances nervously at Burifu's brother.
Naruto wanders over to the front steps and sits down heavily. "Grandma has power we could never hope for," says Naruto, completely in awe.
Naruto leans down and sniffs Burifu. "You smell nice," says Naruto. "You should have baths more often."
Burifu leans against Naruto and sniffs. "I already know about Grandpa," she says, and clutches the pipe.
"Oh," says Naruto. He wonders how she knows, but then he figures Steve probably told her or something. "Your dad is dead too."
"HEY!" protests Burifu's brother. "I CAME HERE TO TELL HER THAT!"
The door opens and Naruto's Grandma regally steps out. "What is going on out here?" she demands.
"I've come for Burifu," says Burifu's brother.
"The Ghost of Pantsu appeared here with Steve and told us to take care of her," says Naruto's Grandma firmly. "Arashi is to be her legal guardian now, and we will raise her until she is old enough to lead the Order of Steve."
"No," protests Burifu's brother, marching down the garden path to the front door to confront Naruto's Grandma. "I am her brother, and with our father dead too, I should be the one to look after her!"
"Oh so now you care!" snaps Burifu, glaring at her brother. "Go away." she stands and pushes her brother to the ground. "You weren't there when our father was too drunk to even name me. It was Grandfather Pantsu who was there, not you. You have no right to claim to be my brother now. I am staying here, like Grandfather wants."
"Really?" says Burifu's brother. "And what proof do you have that he wants that?"
"Shinigami summon:" says Naruto, pulling out paper and pen faster than he ever has before and drawing the seal on it. "Come forth STEVE!"
Burifu's brother goes pale.
Steve appears. "Waddup, little dude!" he says. Then, seeing how serious everyone is, he asks, "What's up?"
"Burifu's brother doesn't like the idea of Burifu staying here," says Naruto.
Steve turns and gives Burifu's brother a look. "Tell the Order Pantsu's dying decree and last order is for Arashi to raise Burifu as a foster child in his home, and for Arashi to lead the Order of Steve until Burifu is old enough."
"Yes kami-sama!" says Burifu's brother, and runs away with his tail between his legs.
"My work here is done," says Naruto, fist-bumping Steve.
"Steve out," says Steve, and vanishes.
Burifu sighs.
"Burifu?" says Naruto, turning to look at her. "Aren't you upset about your dad's death?"
"My dad?" says Burifu, tipping her head to one side. "I didn't even know him. I'm just surprised he died in combat, rather than drinking himself to death."
"So I take it you won the battle?" says Naruto's Grandma, hugging him tightly.
"Yes," says Naruto grinning. Then he giggles nervously. "Our house is going to be very full tonight. Pervy Sage is coming back, and Mei-san and...a surprise. Well, four surprises." Naruto, of course, means his parents and Iruka-nii's undead parents.
There is a yellow flash. "Yo!" says Naruto's dad, grinning like an idiot.
"Here's one now," says Naruto. "I kinda blackmailed the shinigami into bringing my parents back from the dead because we needed help killing Zetsu."
"Naruto!" scolds his Grandma. "I've told you not to blackmail people. You have extra chores for the rest of the week." Then she hugs him tighter. "But I'm SO PROUD of you!"
Naruto's Dad's face falls slightly. "Iruka wasn't kidding."
Naruto's Grandma releases him and hugs his dad.
Naruto's dad chucks a volley of his special kunai over his shoulder and hugs Naruto's Grandma.
"ARASHI!" Kazama yells, switching from hugging Minato to holding him at arm's-length and grinning at him. "GET OUT HERE!"
At that instant, about a dozen Minato-clones appear, with two or three people each alongside them. "I got sick of walking," says Minato. "So I used the hiraishin seal on Naruto to transport everyone here to save time. The rest of the Order of Steve went home once they realized we don't need them to carry the injured now."
"MUMMY!" Namiko, bursts out of the front door, with Arashi close behind.
Arashi lets out a joyful yell and hugs Minato, lifting him off the ground.
Namiko runs across the grass to Mei. "Yoink!" says Ikkaku, grabbing her as she runs past, much like Iruka did when he took her 'prisoner' in Gravity Fails. He lifts Namiko up to eye level and peers at her. "Hmm," he says. Then he turns to the rest of the allies and asks, "Who's chubby little crotch-fruit is this?"
"Mine," says Iruka, lifting his head off his stretcher. "She's mine."
Kohari, who is standing beside Ikkaku, snatches Namiko and holds her up in the air. "AHHH WE HAVE A GRANDBABY!"
"I'm not a baby!" insists Namiko. "I'm a ninja!"
Minato dispels his shadow clones and drags his parents over to Kushina. "This is-" he begins to introduce her.
"Kushina," finishes Kazama, and hugs her tightly. Arashi, not to be outdone, simply wraps his arms around Minato, Kushina and Kazama.
"I'll take that," says Mei, taking Namiko off her zombie grandparents.
"Mummy!" Namiko, hugs Mei. And then she sees Iruka's missing arm. "Daddy, your arm!"
Kazama's heads snaps around and she looks at Iruka. Then she ditches the group hug and marches over to Iruka. "Who did this, and are they dead?" she demands.
"I did," says Kohari, embarrassed. "And yes I am. I was being mind-controlled via the reanimation jutsu-"
Kazama turns to her, shaking her finger fiercely. "You should know better than that! Who are you?"
"Kohari Umino."
"If you weren't already dead, I'd kill you!"
"It's fine Mum," says Iruka, gently. "Mei managed to stop her from killing me."
"Good," says Kazama, calming down.
"Ah, Kimiko?" says Kabuto, walking over to Kimiko, who is trying to both hide behind the front door and watch what is going on. Kimimaro follows close behind him.
Kimiko's face lights up. "KABUTO! KIMIMARO!" she shouts, leaping into Kabuto's arms.
"Wait, how do you guys know Kimiko?" asks Naruto, confused.
"Well, we used to work for Orochimaru," says Kimimaro. "Kimiko is her daughter."
