Naruto looks around the room wondering if anyone else is going to turn up. There are already so many people, but he has a feeling there are more coming. Nagato, Yahiko, Konan, Wind and Rain are not here yet, after all.

Right on cue, Obito's portal-thing appears in the living room and out steps Obito, Rin, Yahiko, Nagato, Konan and four kids - two boys and two girls. One boy has black hair and one has purple hair. The two girls have orange hair and look almost identical.

"Good, you came," says Kazama, taking the stash of food the group brought off their hands and into the kitchen.

"Wow, this is quite a crowd," says Nagato. "Hey squirt," he adds, tousling Namiko's hair.

Kazama emerges from the kitchen and says, "Are you going to introduce your kids or not?" She turns to Obito and Rin, who are unmasked now. "I take it you two are Wind and Rain?"

"Yes we are," says Rin. She puts her hand on the black haired boy's head. "This is our son, Shiroikiba."

"Hello," says Obito and Rin's son, bowing politely. "It's nice to meet you all."

Aki gets right up in the boy's face. They are about the same age, Naruto guesses. "I'm Aki! My Daddy and your Mummy and Daddy were teammates!" she says, a little too loudly for inside. "Let's be friends!"

Shiroikiba grins and hugs Aki. "The best!" he agrees.

"Haha! Shiroi's got a girlfriend!" teases the other boy, dancing around gleefully.

Aki sticks her nose in the air and says, "You're just jealous because you don't!"

The boy's grin freezes on his face. Then his face crumples up and he starts howling like a baby.

"Don't be such a crybaby!" says one of the identical girls, hitting him.

"Don't make my brother cry!" yells the other girl, hitting Aki.

Konan clears her throat and all three kids freeze in place. "Behave yourselves."

"Yes Mum!" they say, hanging their heads in shame.

Konan nods and says, "These three ratbags are Yahiko's and my triplets." she points to the boy, "This is Tsubasa." Then she points to the girl who hit Aki, "This is Yoko." She points to the other girl, "and this is Amaya."

"Yo," says Amaya.

"Wassup?" says Yoko.

"Hi," sniffs Tsubasa, who is still crying.

"So these are your kids, huh?" says Pervy Sage, ruffling the triplets' hair. "They look a lot like you two did when you were little."

"That's weird," says Obito, frowning. "What's Madara doing on your roof?"

Naruto wonders why his grandmother sighs.

"Oh, so that's where he went!" says Mikoto.

Everyone, except Itachi, her baby and Sasuke, pile outside to see what Madara is doing on the roof. He is just sitting there, staring at the sky.

"Oi, Madara!" yells Fugaku. "You are supposed to be keeping a low profile until we explain what you're doing here to the Village!"

"Most people won't recognize him, Lord Hokage," says Obito. "So long as he isn't plotting the apocalypse, I don't see why he can't sit on the roof."

"You know, I came out here to get away from all you idiots for a while," says Madara, sounding annoyed. "And now you've multiplied. Go away."

"Nope," says Nagato, firmly. "We can't have you plotting and scheming up there while we throw an impromptu party. Get down here and be sociable."

Naruto sees the look on his grandmother's face and wonders what she is about to do. She's got her scary face on.

"Kushina, Mikoto," she says. "I'd like you two to come and help me in the kitchen. We need to prepare all the food everyone brought."

"Are you sure three of us will be enough?" asks Mikoto.

"You're right," says Kazama, with a gleam in her eye that Naruto KNOWS means she anticipated the question, and planned for it. "MADARA! Can you cook?"

"Yes I can," says Madara, a light going on in his head as both he and Naruto realize what Kazama is up to.

"Then make yourself useful and help us in the kitchen," orders Kazama.

Madara is only too happy to follow Kazama into the relative sanity of the kitchen.

"Madara can cook?" says Obito, pulling a face in disbelief. "Since when?"

"He used to cook for his brothers before they were all killed by Senjus," says Naruto, who knows this fact from Madara's backstory flashback.

Hashirama hunkers down on the ground and hugs his knees, a black cloud hanging over his head. "That's so sad…" he says, trying to sniff back rivers of tears.

Tobirama looks a tiny bit guilty, and Naruto remembers that he killed one of Madara's brothers.

Eizo tugs Naruto's pants.

"Yeah?" says Naruto.

"Uncle Madara's littlest brother got killed when he was my age," says Eizo, slurring some of his words. "He told me."

Hashirama stops trying to sniff back the rivers of tears and lets it flow.

Everyone else goes very, very quiet. Finally, Arashi says, "No wonder he wants to cause an apocalypse. Dude's been through the wringer."

"Yeah…" says Nagato, thoughtfully. "He is a perfect example of the Cycle of Hatred...I hope he finds something to live for, or he will revive Kaguya after all."

"Alright, changing the subject!" says the Hokage with forced cheerfulness. "Arashi, your dining room is a bit small for the amount of people here."

"Let's have a pool party!" yells Naruto, punching the air.

"YEAH!" Namiko agrees loudly.

"YOU HAVE A POOL?!" shouts Tsubasa, getting all excited. "Where? Where?"

So they open up the pool and confirm which of the children can swim. Then Arashi asks an important question, "So how many of you have swimsuits on you?"

No one, evidently. Naruto has his upstairs, as does Namiko. Kimiko has a swimsuit in her room, but Burifu doesn't even own one yet.

Everyone disperses to get swimsuits. Some go home to get them, while everyone else (namely those who don't own any and those who live outside the village) head to town to buy swimsuits. When they return, everyone brings extra food with them. Soon, the table in the pool room is loaded with food and drink - everything from fish and rice to sweet soups and dango. Madara made the dango, which surprises everyone. Mikoto produces a massive pot of tomato soup, and Naruto's mum makes ramen. Kazama makes fried chicken and rice, and a few sweet things.

They move the table from the dining room into the pool room to accommodate even more food as Madara also cooks sushi and stir fried vegetables. Naruto hates vegetables, but Madara's smell good.

Hashirama makes wooden plates with his woodstyle so that there are enough for everyone. Soon all the food is all finished cooking. As they lay out the last of the food, Naruto's Mum jokingly says, "Are you sure this is enough food?" Lord First had to make a third table just to accommodate it all.

Naruto's Grandma suddenly looks very worried. "What if it's not enough food?" she says, holding her head in panic.

"Relax," says Mikoto, smiling and patting her shoulder. "It will be enough."

Kakashi and Naruto's Dad unearth Iruka from his room. They stick him in the living room with Sasuke and Itachi, creating a sick person's corner of sorts. Madara insists on taking them food…and then he doesn't come back. When Naruto takes Iruka some more food a bit later, he discovers that Madara is still in the living room.

"We're having fun out there," says Naruto, who has already been for a swim and eaten more than is recommended right before swimming. "Don't you want to join us, Uncle Madara?"

"Oh, don't you start," says Madara, glaring at Naruto. "I'm here because this is where all the sane people are."

"What about Grandma?" asks Naruto, frowning.

"ALL the sane people," repeats Madara, firmly.

Over in Itachi's arms, Karasu makes a baby noise.

"Don't let them corrupt you, little baby," says Madara.

Naruto shrugs and heads off to get Sasuke more rice balls and Itachi some dango. Mostly everyone is either in the pool or wrapped in a towel eating food. The party has been going for a few hours by this point, and the food is nearly gone. Naruto manages to scrounge the last stick of dango and a couple of riceballs to take to Sasuke and Itachi.

Eizo is happily splashing in the shallow end of the pool with Yahiko and Konan's Triplets, Shiroikiba, Aki and Minoru. Namiko is better at swimming than pretty much everyone else, and has taken it upon herself to teach Kimiko to swim. Pervy Sage is helping, not wanting his daughter to drown in the deep end.

Naruto doesn't see his Dad anywhere so, once he has dropped the food off to Itachi and Sasuke, he wanders around the house looking for his Dad. Eventually, Naruto finds his Dad in the kitchen, wearing a pink apron, mixing batter in a bright yellow bowl. There is a batch of cookies cooling on a rack on the kitchen bench and another batch cooking in the oven.

When he sees Naruto, Minato stops humming blissfully and says, "I saw the food was running low, so I'm making cookies. Try one."

So Naruto does, and it is delicious. (He learned that word from Grandma.)
