Chapter 10: Hello baby's

"Come on baby, you are almost there I could see the head, push." Atem says with soothing words to his husband dabbing the sweat from his front head.
Yugi pushes with all his might counting inside his head together with the nurse. When he reaches 10 he takes deep breaths preparing himself to push again.
"Okay mister Muto, one more push and your first child is out." The doctor says watching closely to Yugi's vitals.
They wanted to do a c section at first but it happened so fast there was simply no time to prepare Yugi for that, so they took the risk of pushing the kids out and hope everything would go well enough to keep both Yugi as the children save.
Flashback:
It happened 7 and a half month ago that Atem started noticing Yugi's extreme mood swings and strange eating habits. Atem nearly gaged when Yugi entered the room with a sandwich tuna salad with mayonnaise, a pickle, chocolate sprinkles and strawberry jam on it.
"Urg Yugi, what's wrong with you, you're eating habits are getting really disgusting, no wonder you are throwing up every morning." Atem said with his hand in front of his mouth and nose to prevent himself from vomiting when Yugi takes place at the table to eat in front of him.
That was a wrong thing to say, Atem barely had enough time to avoid the plate with the sandwich which was shucked to his head. A very angry Yugi stood there, his head an angry red glow an angry vain pulsing on his sleep. Atem knew to stay safe he better could run and let Yugi cool off.
He took his jacket barley taking the time to slip on his shoes and ran to their grandparent's store. Who were shocked to see Atem standing there with bits of Yugi's food still hanging in his hair. "What happened Atem?" grandpa asks worried fishing the food out his grandson in laws hair.
"You tell me, the one moment Yugi is his happy self and the next he is a crying mess without any good reason, and today I made a comment on his eating habit and he threw the plate with food to my head!"
"What's wrong with his eating habits?" grandma asks.
"He eats tuna salad, mayonnaise, with a pickle, chocolate sprinkles and jam, all on one sandwich! And then he finds it strange why he is running to the bathroom every morning to throw up! I don't know what the hell is wrong with him!"
Both grandparents look towards each other, a soft smile on their face. "What!" Atem shouts angry for why they are not supporting him.
"Heba's gift." Both elders respond.
"What?" Atem asks confused and he sees his grandfather walking towards a costumer.
His grandmother takes her grandson to the back of the store, places him on the couch and takes a seat herself. "Atem, when was the last time you were on top?" grandma asks.
"What has that to do with Heba's gift, Yugi's moods and disgusting eating habits?"
"Maybe everything son, so when was the last time you topped?" She knows Yugi is a hell of a Dom and Atem loves to be a sub, it was obvious when she heard the two boys talking shortly before they moved out, she also heard them talking about the love making and that Atem then would top.
Atem starts counting, it was with their 5th year of married anniversary. "That was two weeks ago." Atem says softly. "But I don't understand. What has me topping Yugi to do with……… oh, you really think?" he says when he is realising where grandma is going at.
"You told us yourself Heba gave Yugi a gift, don't you think he wants the Muto blood line to continue?"
"Wow, and I thought it was a joke when the doctor told me he has develop himself a womb. Grandma I need to go, I think I messed up when I took off."
"Atem! Yugi needs support, and yes pregnant people can have nasty eating habits, and the mood swings are no fun, but remember, the body must get used to the baby inside the stomach, it takes time and lots of patients to stay strong in a healthy relationship, and the support from the one propping the baby in sadly is the one who needs to endure the most." Grandma says.
"Thanks grandma." Atem says and walks off, but before he goes home he goes to a flower shop, he buys Yugi's favourite roses without thorns with a sweet little card. Then he goes home to find a crying Yugi on the floor.
Atem carefully lays the roses down on the table and crouching besides Yugi and lays his hand on the crying males shoulder. "I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to be so mean to you." He says softly.
Yugi jumps up and closes him in a strong hug. "I thought you left me." He cries out loudly.
"No baby, I needed some time to think, that's all." Atem says softly. "I could not understand why you acted like you did." He explains.
"I don't want to be like this babe, I really don't, it just happens. What's wrong with me?"
"How about we call the doctor? Then we figure out what is wrong with you and we can figure out how to treat you hmm?" Atem suggest carefully not willing to bring the news of Yugi being perhaps pregnant.
"But I'm still hungry and I crave what I made, but with you running of with my dinner I used last!" Yugi sobs.
Atem smiles to that. "Then let us start by going to the store and buy what you want and you can eat it when we are home, and brushing your teeth after, I promise I won't make any nasty comment, okay?" Atem asks carefully afraid for a new outburst.
"Okay." Yugi says softly, burying his head in Atem's chest.
When Yugi was eating a new sandwich Atem called the doctor, next day both grandparents suspicion was confirmed, Yugi is pregnant.
With the first echo they learned they would get twins, Atem passed out hitting his head hard against the wall and needed stiches, which made Yugi's eyes roll. "What's going that be when they are born?" he asks the nurse.
"A very strong and above all loving father." She only respond with a smile. Cleaning Yugi's belly.
A total of eight months has passed and Atem had allot of mood swings and disgusting eating habits to endure, by talking together and finding ways to help endure them together they enjoyed the make-up moments more together what made them strong.
They also enjoyed the shopping they did together, especially when they learned they would have twins. Together they picked out colours for on the walls, had fun arguments to witch stroller they wanted for the kids and which furniture they use for the nursery.
Together they installed the nursery, looked to every corner to what would be the best place to place the cribs, and where to place the dressing table. They discussed if they wanted to bath the kids in the bathroom, or in the tub in the bedroom.
They went to baby classes so they know how to take care of the baby, followed Yoga for pregnant people, and went to swimming yoga together.
The two men were completely preparing for parenthood and enjoyed it to the max. But what Atem enjoys more than Yugi is the fact Yugi's belly is growing, he loves to stroke the stomach and make the babies kick Yugi, by day Yugi enjoys that, but at night, he often needs to push Atem out the bed because he keeps him awake with the kids.
They decided they would stop the archaeological field for now and work in the museum until the children are five year and old enough for school. They decided the kids elementary and high school years would be in a private school, the private school already was picked out by the new forming parents.
Flashback ends:
"Push Yugi push." Atem encourages his little husband, and with one last push the first baby comes out. A loud scream fills the room.
"Oh hello to you too little girl, the doctor chuckles. "You gave your daddy's quite the scare last night." He says and hand the girl to the nurse. "Okay Yugi, wait until you feel a contraction and then you can push again." The doctor says to the overly tired male in the bed.
"Can't you do the c section now?" Yugi begs feeling a prodding down and knowing the doctor is checking if the second baby is ready. He is absolutely not please to lay there freely with his manhood in the open, in a way he is still a shy man when it comes to others.
"No I'm sorry, the little one is ready to come out. But the second born is most of the time the easiest to push out." The doctor responds.
"OkAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Yugi screams and gives one big push when the sudden contraction comes around. A second scream fills the room.
"Happy birthday little boy, ready to meet your daddy's?" the doctor says and hand the other baby boy also to a nurse, he focuses himself on Yugi who is his first priority for now.
Yugi is still heavy breathing having trouble coming around. "Next time I prop the baby in you." Yugi manages to say before the alarm bells start to ring and Yugi passes out.
Atem sits in a chair holding his kids in his arms softly humming a lullaby, when he hears his husband stirring awake. "Come on little prince and princes, lets meet little daddy okay." He whispers softly to his children.
Carefully he pushes himself up from the chair and walks to the bed, Yugi has his eyes open but still looks very tired, and Atem kisses his husband on the head. "Hey there baby, how did you sleep?"
"Mm I'm glad if I am back in my own bed cuddled against you." Yugi responds softly. "Am I okay?"
"Yes, you are now, you gave us quite the scare because you got into a bleeding badly, before I realised what was going on I was pushed out and one of the nurses took me to where they were cleaning the kids. Baby the only way to save you was by removing the womb, you can't have kids anymore. You need to stay al little bit before you can go home, and when we do, we go as a family." Atem says sweetly.
"Do we have a pair?"
"Yes we do." Atem says handing the little boy to his little husband.
"Then I don't care I can't have kids anymore, Hikari will be a great mother when she finds a husband." Yugi says softly while looking to the little boy in his arm and to the little girl in his husbands arm knows he will be fine. Together they will overcome everything together. And with their new-borns, they will have a New Start.
"Welcome Little Hikari. My baby girl. Welcome Little Yami, My baby boy." They whisper at the same time.
