So I updated this yesterday on wattpad, but constantly forgot to post it here until this very moment, I'm very sorry about that, but what can you do? I just havn't been that motivated to post stories here lately. Anywho, yes, this was my Friday post, meaning that I was ... am, posting more chapters than normal because I have a surpluses. I may continue doing this, but we will see by the time next Friday rolls around.

Dapper64: Thank you, even though your review was short, it means a lot to me.

It was the following day, and Nishikata was on his way to meet up with Takagi-san for the final walk to school before summer break. "I can't believe that it's finally here." Nishikata said to himself. "Summer vacation ... wonder what I should do first when it starts? Maybe I should ask Takagi-san what she wants to do." He paused. "Wait a second ... we do spend a lot of time together, don't we?" He began thinking to himself as he continued walking. "Come to think of it, the reason we hang out at all is, because of her. If she hadn't teased me, then I would never have tried to get her back, and we wouldn't have spent time together ... that's ... strange."

He continued walking until he got to the place where he was supposed to meet Takagi-san and looked around. "I guess she's not here yet." He waited there for some time, but no one came. "That's strange ... wait ... she's not ... upset with me, is she?" He checked back, hoping to spot her. "Where is she?"

He continued to wait, but eventually, he couldn't wait any longer, and was forced to go on without her. "She wasn't upset yesterday, and it's unlikely that she's sick." He continued thinking as he quickened his pace. "I ... I didn't ruin my chances with her, did I?" He quickly shook his head. "Who am I kidding? I never had a chance with her to begin with ... I mean, she did say that she liked me, but she just wanted to tease me, right?" He began to panic as he quickened his pace some more. "But ... I might not be able to think of why she would tease me like that, but that has to be it ... unless I've made a horrible mistake." He began running. "Crap!"

Elsewhere, Takagi-san was already in the classroom, finishing up the last of her day duties when Sumire walked into the classroom. "Morning Takagi-chan." She greeted.

"Morning." Takagi-san greeted back almost half heartedly.

"Did you not get enough sleep?"

"It's not that." Takagi-san began. "It's ... yesterday, Nishikata said I was one of the most attractive girls in the school, I thought that he was just saying that because he liked me, but ... I'm starting to think there was a little more to it than that."

Sumire giggled. "Well, I'm not surprised, how many guys are hitting on you?"

"It's more of guys talking about me when they think I can't hear them. I've never really bothered to pay attention to it before, but ... it's kinda unsettling ... having all those eyes just staring at you from a distance."

"Well sorry, but I don't know the feeling."

"I wouldn't get yourself down, I'm sure you will soon enough."

"Thanks, but I think I'll pass on the creepy guys stalking me part."

"I don't think you'll have a choice." She clasped her hands behind her back and smiled as she made her way back to her seat. "You know the old saying, boys will be boys."

"Yeah, well, let's talk about something less stressful, like our plans for summer." She began. "We're still going to the pool tomorrow, right?"

"You bet."

Back with Nishikata, he had just arrived at the school, and was doing his best not to run in the hall to get to the class. "If she's there, then I can ask her before class starts, if not, then I can assume that she's absent today." He said, trying to cheer himself up. "Yeah, I'm probably overthinking this, it's not as bad as I think it is."

A few moments later, someone began rushing up to him, calling his name. "Nishikata!" He called as he reached him. "Can I ask you a favor?"

"Huh?" He said as he turned to the guy in question; it took him a few minutes, but he recognized him from fourth period as someone who sat not too far away. "What is it?"

"You're close friends with Takagi-san, right?"

"Yeah."

"Can you get me her number?"

Nishikata did a double take. "Wait, what do you want?"

"Takagi-san's phone number, or her email I guess, can you get me it?"

"Why do you want it?"

"To talk to her, duh."

"And why ask me? Couldn't you just ask her for it?"

"I can't do that, she would never give it to me if I just asked her."

"Okay then, go back a bit, why do you want to talk to her?"

"Do I have to spell it out for you?" He asked, starting to get a little annoyed. "She's the most attractive girl in school, well, her and Houjou-san, but Houjou-san is only interested in very mature boys, so I'll settle for Takagi-san."

Nishikata felt something inside him snap. 'Settle?' "Yeah, I'm going to go with ... no."

"No?"

"I will not give you her email."

"Come on pal." He said as he wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "Think of it this way, you'll have it as well."

Nishikata pushed his arm off his shoulder. "Get lost, I already have it." He froze as he realized what he had just said.

The other boy stared at him in disbelief for a moment before holding out his hand. "May I see your phone?"

"No." Nishikata said as he stepped away.

"Come on." The other guy said as he stepped closer to him.

Nishikata continued to back away as the other guy continued to encroach on him, eventually trying to reach around to Nishikata's back pocket, where his phone was kept. "Get off me!" Nishikata said as he tried to push the other boy off.

"I just want to see your phone!"

Nishikata gave him a good shove, sending him tumbling back a bit, before running off. "What the heck is up with him?" Nishikata asked aloud. As soon as the other boy was out of sight, Nishikata stopped and took a deep breath "But ... better safe than sorry." He took out his phone and opened the settings to set up a passcode. 'Getting her number off my phone is bad enough, but the last thing I want is for someone to steal the picture I have of her.' He sighed and put his phone back into his pocket. "But ... well it's not like I didn't know a lot of guys were after her." He began to feel uneasy. "She does have her choice of any guy in the entire school ... but she tried to confess to me." He shook his head. "She was teasing me!" 'I can't let myself wanting her to like me, convince me that she actually likes me.' He let out a sigh. 'But ... I hope I was wrong.'

He began to walk faster to get to class, and as soon as he walked through the door, he stopped as soon as he caught sight of Takagi-san. 'There she is.' He thought to himself.

He casually walked up to her, trying his best not to draw attention as he took a seat. 'Hey, good morning." He greeted, trying not to sound troubled.

"Good morning Nishikata." Takagi-san greeted back like always.

'Okay, now's the time, all I have to do is ask her ... yeah.' "Hey, Takagi-san, Can I ask you something?"

"Hm?"

"Yeah, so ... you ... got here early."

"Yeah, I had day duty."

The feeling of nervousness that Nishikata was feeling, was completely replaced by one of embarrassment. "Oh ... yeah, I didn't know."

"Were you concerned?" She asked, causing him to turn to her surprised. "You were scared because I wasn't at the place we usually meet up, weren't you?"

Nishikata began to blush, causing Takagi-san to burst into laughter. "Nishikata, if you're ever worried about me for any reason, you can just call me." She stopped laughing and smiled. "And I always want to walk to school with you, so if I'm ever not there, then you can call me to see what's up."

Nishikata nodded as he avoided looking at her. "Um ... speaking of which ... earlier ... some guy from fourth period came up to me, trying to get me to ask you for your number."

"Did you give it to him?"

"Of course not, it seemed like he didn't want to get it directly from you and I found that more than a little suspicious."

"Yeah, there's a lot of guys who have been stealing glances at me when they think I'm not looking as well."

"That's just inappropriate, even if you are the most attractive girl in our school."

"Last time you said I was one of the most attractive girls in our grade."

"I ... it's still true." Nishikata said with a blush.

Takagi-san smiled and turned back to face the front. "You know, the offer from a few days ago is still open."

"Offer?"

"The one I made to you when we were at the park." She explained.

Nishikata felt his heart rate become erratic as he tried not to panic. "O-Offer? I don't seem to remember something like that."

"I think you do, you just don't want to admit the truth." She interlocked her fingers and smiled. "But don't worry, I can wait."

As Takagi-san felt triumphant at Nishikata's distress, Sumire, who was sitting in front of the two, began rubbing her temples. 'Those two are going to drive me crazy.'

The rest of the day seemed to crawl by, but soon enough, the last period of the day was over, and summer had officially started. "Oh my god, I am so ready for summer." Nishikata said as he exhaled.

"And you're probably going to put your homework off till the last minute."

"Hey, you're no better."

"I'm not?"

"Last summer, and the summer before it, you also put it off as long as I did."

"Well there's a simple reason for that." She said as she smiled. "I wanted to do it with you."

Nishikata blushed and turned away. "Well ... I guess ... do you ... want to do it together again this year?"

"Are you asking me on a date?"

"Of course not!" Nishikata exclaimed with a blush. "I ... I just ... seeing as last year ..."

"I'd be happy to." Takagi-san finished for him. "But not tomorrow, I'm busy."

"Oh ... okay."

"NISHIKATA!" Came his friend Takao as he ran up to him and threw an arm around his shoulder. "Are you free tomorrow?"

"I ... guess I don't have anything planned."

"Good, because a lot of the other guys are going to the pool, and I wanted to see if you wanted to join."

"The pool?" He asked. "I mean it's the first day of summer , I expect a lot of guys-"

"No, I mean a lot of guys are going to the pool tomorrow. I heard about it at lunch, something is happening, and almost everyone wants to be there ... though no one will tell me what."

"Really?"

"Yeah, Kimura and Hamaguchi are already in, so what do you say?"

Nishikata shrugged. "Sure, I don't have anything else to do tomorrow."

"Sweet, we'll meet up around ten and Hamaguchi is going to find us a spot."

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then."

As Takao left, Nishikata turned to Takagi-san, who had a look of shock on her face. "Is ... is everything okay?"

"Sumire-chan and I were going to the pool tomorrow."

"Huh, what a coinci- ... wait ..." He thought back to earlier. "Oh ... I think I get it now."

"Yup."

"I'm sorry." Nishikata stated. "If I had known-"

"You don't have to apologize, and it's really not that big a deal."

"You sure?"

"Yup, hey, seeing as we're going to the same place tomorrow, you wanna walk together?"

Nishikata blushed. "I ... sure."

"Great, now let's go home."
