Chapter Three: Family Ties Part 1

"Wow, you look beautiful." I turned my head to see Elena behind me, she was wearing a velvet ruby red dressed with sleeves that flared out and her long hair down and curlier.

I look at her confused before turning back towards the mirror to see that I was in a matching forest green dress and my hair curly but pend up, we were dead like women from the fourteen century.

"Thank you." I said slowly, as She walk over to me and link are arms together before guiding me towards the door.

"Well, we better be going. We're going to be later for the party."

"What part?" I stop walking, I didn't know we were going to a party. She stepped in front of me with a huge smile on her faces.

"We been invited to-" she speaking, as if she was chocking on something.

"Kat." I look at her, she only stood there swaying slightly. "KAT! KAT!" She suddenly dropped to here knees as blood started to gush from her mouth. "Katerina!" I yelled out in horror as she fell right into my open arms. I look down at her now plea face, to see the light leave her brown eyes, I shake her shoulders as she lead on the floor. "Please wake up...please." I silently beg her to stay with, as I brought her body close to me and sobbed into her shoulder.

"You really should have seen that coming." I heard a familiar voice say from above, as I slowly plead my face way to see...myself. looking down at me in more modern clothes, leaning against the oak door frame.

"What?" I was confused, why would I kill Elena, that just didn't make sense.

I pushed myself off the door frame, as I slowly started to approach myself. "This the part where you run." I had blood running from lips and animalistic eyes and fangs popping out of my mouth. I started to crawl backwards as I As I lunges from me.

"Aaahhhh!"

"Ahh." I gasped and shoot up from my bed trying to catch my breath, I looked around my room-good, that's good...Good old plain, bare, white walls. Not a crazy taxing psycho or crazy mask weird serial killer in sight.

I turned my head look to look out my balcony doors, only to see that it was still dark.

"Mmm." I went to reach my left hand out to grab my phone on the beside table, to see that it was only four in the morning. Just great, I have work in a few hours and I can't call off because it was still my first week. I well there's no use in complaining about it, I set my phone back down on the night stand as I heard a creaking noise, I steady myself and heard it louder. I got out of bed and walk over to the door and opened it, I look around the hallway. Not was out of place and everyone's bedroom doors was close.

"Hello?" I called out in the empty up stairs hallway, I look over the banister and saw a shadow move.

"Tori? Mom?...Hello?" I started to make my way down the stairs to the foyer as I took the last step and made my way over to the light switch I tries to turn on the light, was the power is out? Weird. I flipped it again but still no lights, I only gave up and turn towards the living room a few feet way and saw light come from there. Tori probably lift the tv on.

"This is Logan Fell coming to you live from the streets of Mystic Falls with breaking news of another deadly animal attack." I saw Logan on the tv report the news about another animal, it hasn't even been twenty four hours yet and another attack.

"Another one." I whisper lowly to myself, this can't be happening. Animals can't be doing all this kill in a small town to so many people, but maybe it was. It's better then next case scenario, a serial killer.

"The wild animal terrorizing the the citizens of Mystic Falls has claimed another victim, local high school student and one of my family very own Alex Fells." He said sadly, as my picture showed on the screen.

"What!" I only Met him once, and that was at my fathers barrel. I couldn't believe this guy use my death to get more tv time and sympathy, probably even some popularity too or to get Jenna back. The nerves, this low life scumbag.

"Yes this very heartbreaking for are family," Logan said sounding sad. Disgusting pig, I'm not even dead. That why I don't like the news now, they lie to much. "but the police are certain that forensic evidence will confirm that this is the same animal responsible for recent attacks." I just shake my head and turn away from the tv to get away from the lies that was being spread, I'm standing right here...But as I turn away to go back to bedroom, I bump right into Damon. How the hell he get in my house.

I looked to met his icy blue eyes, to only see that he was smirking at me. Not this again. "Ugh. you. You have got to be kidding me." I moan out, not hiding the unavoidably disgust dropping from voice at his present. I thought I made myself clear last night, I was about to ask him how he got inside my house.

"You know what's coming next." He said smoothly, as he took a step towards me.

"Oh yeah. Get away from!" I yelled and slap him again and he turn and look at me, I was definitely going to be on my ass this time. I ran for the front door, only opens it to sees Damon on the other side, so I slams it shut in his face. How did he move so fast, I slowly walks towards the stairs, but I was pulled from behind and was turned to be met with Damon again. Who grabs me hair and bites into my neck, I felt myself slowing slip away.

"Ahh!" I shoot up from my nightmares and took my surrounding in, it find I was down stairs in the living room and saw nothing out of the sorts, only mom laying on the light grey L part of the sectional coach and Tori right beside her. As I got up of the matching recliner and walk towards the white blind and peeked out to be greed with pink, purple, blues and orange sky's, it was becoming morning. Thank god.

"Hmm." I was just grateful that the nightmare was over, but I wonder why would I dream of Damon of all people and me killing Elena and myself. Maybe because he's been the only pain in my ass as of lately and causing her and his brother problems, but the fangs, that part I didn't get. Probably because of the animal attack last night, I chocked it up to. I just didn't understand why Elena, I feels like I'm going mad. I leave one nightmare, just to weak up into another one. I spent all night after everyone else went to sleep looking up the recent animal attacks in town. After seeing how bad it effected Tori, I just couldn't sleep. I found out that Matt's older sister Vicki was one of them, but it's also been a few more before Vicki's and now Tanner's was latest of them. I just didn't get it, the police couldn't do much again a wild animal, they should just call in animal control for it. I spent all night fearing a bear or wolf was going to crash into the house and kill us all...Nice call dad, you just had to move us into another out of wack town didn't you. Why not Hawaii Or Alaska agin, or maybe, I don't know somewhere safe. Oh like-I don't know Canadian perhaps, just anywhere away from a small town.

Alex P.O.V

Minus the lack of sleep I got this morning and the traumatizing even we experienced at the football game last night. Me, Tori and mom deiced to head out for breakfast this morning and try "agin" to have a nice normal family outing. With less death and blood this time, we end up at the local restaurant called the Mystic grill. We definitely needed a better family outing...Preferably one with caffein and Bacon attending it. After what happened last night, I was seriously concreting ask my mom to let me Order a Mimosa or two, with vodka... I just still couldn't believe an animal would a attack someone, specially so close too town. It was weird. I felt kind of bad...for Tanner and his family. I'm know stranger to death either, specially of a love one, and I would never wish that pain on some else. Even if Tanner was a world class jerk, he still didn't deserve to die, not like that. No one does.

We walk into the grill, I looked around to see if I could find Bonnie and Caroline near by. Because I really didn't get the chance to talk either of them after what took place. Because as soon as we got home last night, Tori just started grabbing the last few boxes we had in the living room, and started to unpack them, not saying one word. So me and mom just did the same, it was better then us going are speared ways and pretending that nothing happened. After we got finished we all just sat on the couch and watched reruns of family guy. And still didn't saying anything the entirety of the night, and then we went to sleep afterwards.

But when I was getting read this morning, I got a tex from Bonnie, that her and Caroline were going to be here and asked me if I was interested in joining them, I said yes. In my journey of "trying to be a normal teenager", I decided to give Caroline and Bonnie a chance, and they not the worst company to keep. And beside, I was coming here with Tori and mom anyways and I wanted Caroline and Bonnie to meet my mother and sister. But I'm pretty sure they already met Tori at cheer practice, I just don't think they met my mom yet. And this is a far better setting then the last night front row set to Friday thirteen. We were walking over to an empty table near by, until a lady with short brown hair stop right in front me, thinking I was Elena. I had a feeling this was going to be the never ending story of my life. I for one, was actually grateful for have dying my hair jet black and cutting it short, But it didn't seem to do to much from mistaken identity.

"Elena, I'm so glade to see. I was just about to cal..." they lady started, but stopped and looked me over. But before she got a chance to say anything, I beat her to the punch.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm not Elena. I'm Alex actually, the look a like I'm afraid." I said to her nervously, she look confused and the males behind her did as well. My mom and Tori was walk over, and stopped right behind me.

"Oh I 'm so sorry, you just look so much like a girl l know." She said shaking her head, still looking me over confused. Both her and the males standing beside her, who looked at me puzzled and curious. The boy with tan skin and short, spiky black hair I recognized as Tyler, the guy who pummeled Elena's kid brother Jeremy into the dirt at last night game, the other guy I didn't know yet.

"Yeah. Elena Gilbert, we met the day before actually?" I said smiling back, but she's look surprised and started to examine me more. Me and Elena couldn't be related, a few days ago I took a look at my birth certificate and it said, just like I knew it would, Sunnydale California. I wasn't surprised about it or anything, I'm going to take that fact that me and Elena meeting each other as fate. Even those I didn't have or expected any when moving here, but I can if it means no more sad, depressed and angry version of me.

"Wow, you both look so, so much a like. Are you related by any chances?" The women ask me.

"Uhm-not that I know of, me and my family just moved here."

"Oh, okay then. I'm Carol Lockwood by the way." She said as she held out her and I shake it, while giving her a small smile in returned. "And this my Husband Charles the mayor and my son Tyler." I gave them a small wave and turned to my mom and sister.

"Hi there, this my mother Laurel Fell and baby sister Tori." I said pointing at the two beside me.

"Hi nice to meet you." Mom said shaking both Mrs and Mr. Lockwood hands, then Tyler's. Tori actually took the time to stop staring at her phone and take notice other people for once. I didn't know to much about the Lockwood's and this was the first I was hearing about the mayor, let a lone a another founding family. I now knew that Tyler was the mayors son, that probably one of the reason he gets off is by bullying people.

"Fells... are you related to the founding family by any chance then?" The Mayor Lockwood ask us.

"Yeah my husband was." My mom answered.

"Was?" He looked confused, he probably would have heard about it if my family actually stayed and lived here. But I guess word doesn't travel as fast when your constantly moving.

All three of us stayed quite for a long bit not knowing how to respond. "He recently pasted?" My mom added quickly.

while the Lockwood's shared awkward glances between each other, more like Carol and Charles did, while Tyler look more interested in, me. I glanced at him to see that he was staring at me with obvious intentions, I just kept my focus on Carlo since she was the main one talking.

"Oh, I'm sorry for your lost. You said you recently moved here?" Mrs. Lockwood ask, all I wanted was bacons and maybe even someone pancakes, not this. long nice to met you fellow founding family convo.

"Yeah, from a small town named Rosewood it's in Pennsylvania." I decided to let the P.T.A team take it from here, since the kids didn't seem the lease bit of interested in this.

"Well since you are new to town, you must not know about the towns founder's party?" Mrs. Lockwood asked us...I had a feeling the one reason they were giving us the time of day, has more so to do with us being apart of a founding family, then us being new to town and wanting to be generous. But I'll bit. I guess trying to fit in is key number one to trying and achieving some normalization in are life.

"Founder's party?" My mom ask with a raised eyebrow.

We never had a founder's party in Rosewoods, so this was completely new and foreign to us...But it still goes right back to my dad, he was born in this town. But never mentioned to any of us about Mystic Falls and it's customs or his past here, being apart of some founder's family as the main one. Not none of it. And I know mom has mentioned a few years back for a family project that we were doing. That she was born and raised a few towns over from Mystic Falls and that's how her and dad met each other. But she never said the names of both town at the time, either she did or I wasn't paying enough attention to care. But now I do. My dad not here anymore, so it's just weird for me to hear all these thing about him and his family that I never knew before.

"The founder's party, that we're hosting at are home. We would be honored, if you all would join us tonight in the festivities?" Mrs. Lockwood ask us.

My mom only look between me and Tori. "Sure. We would love to, we didn't have any plan tonight anyway. Right girls?" My mom ask us with a pressed smile on her face, Tori and me only shared a look.

"Yeah, That sounds great." I said shake my head agreement.

"Sure, I'm all in." Tori look up from her phone to chime in.

The lockwoods only smile at us. "Well, I guess will see you all at the party tonight." Mayor Lockwood said. I had a feeling I was going to regret agreeing to this, I didn't want to be put on the spot about stuff that had to do with a ancestors. I mean we didn't exactly get tough about are family history growing up, and being raised by a history major and clearly left your own gene pool out of the mix.

"It was lovely meeting you Laurel, Alex and Tori." Mrs. Lockwood said to us before walking towards the entrance with mr. Lockwood right behind.

"It was a pleasure in meeting the both of you as well, see you guys tonight." My Mother said, as we all parted a speared ways, I looked back to see Tyler walk his parents to the entrance door, then went to follow a waitress that I noticed to be that Vicki girl from last night. I wonder was she was whipping out to not only Tyler, but a Elena's little brother Jeremy to make them brawl like barnyard animal over her.

"Well I guess I'm going to have to try and look through my closet at home to find a nice and appropriate cocktail outfit for the occasion." Mom said as we all took a set at the table, I was about to say something snarky until I saw Caroline and Bonnie arrive.

I sat my menu down. "Hey you guys you don't mind if I go and talk to my friends real quick? I'll be right back." I said, they only shake heads no as I getting up and walking towards the duo.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Alex."

"So, whats going on." I took a seat in between them.

"Oh nothing, just Caroline deiced to ditch me to take Damon to the founder's party." Bonnie said a little agitated. I then I turn to Carolina, who was try to suppress a smile appearing on her lips. But then I realize what she was talking about or rather who she was talking about.

"Wait, you're taking Damon to the founder's party?" I ask a bit confused, it seems like I couldn't out run him no matter where I was. Don't get me wrong, I completely get it, why she would still be with him. Damon's hot and older, you can practically see bad boy written a cross him. I just felt bad for Caroline, she's just seems more full invested into this relationship then he did. Specially after he tried to make a move on me at last night game, he was still toying with Caroline.

"Yeah, he's my boyfriend and beside its not that big of deal anyway." She said nonchalantly and shrugging her shoulders.

"What about me?" Bonnie bit out.

"Go with Elena." I then realize that they must be taking about the founder's party that's happening tonight.

"She's asking Stefan."

"Okay, go by yourself." Caroline clap back like it was the obvious choice. I still couldn't believe Damon was getting away with his, believing that toying with Caroline's feeling was a game and more importantly that she was buying his bull crap.

"Gee, Thanks." She said sarcastically.

I looked at Bonnie. "You can go with me Bonnie? It can be girl's night." I said to her, even those we just meet we hit off pretty well at Elena dinner party, plus I wasn't gonna leave her hanging, not like Caroline was doing. I get that Damon's her boyfriend now, but she didn't have to leave a friend hanging last minute like that. Specially someone you know almost your entire life, friends like Bonnie are tear to come by and I know from experience.

"Yeah, it can be you, me, my mom and Tori."

"Thank Alex, at least I know I can count on one friend." Bonnie said with a smile on her face.

"It's settled then."

Bonnie turn look at Caroline. "Anyways, what about your mom Caroline?" Then I remember that Caroline's mom was the town's sheriff. I have a teacher for a partner, so I know sheriff Forbes wouldn't be okay with Caroline showing up at a party with an older man on her arm. Specially at such a big public event that their family was part of.

Caroline only chuckled at us. "Is she okay with you bringing Damon?" I question her.

"And I'm supposed to care why?" She shot back.

"But Isn't your mom, like the sheriff?" I voiced the obvious to her, I was surprised how causal Caroline was acting about this. I didn't know to much about a Caroline besides that fact her family was a founding one, so I'll have to ask Tori about it.

"Yes She is, thank for reminding me of that. Besides, she'll be to busy work, to even noted me, let alone who I'm dating." She said to us, me and Bonnie sharing a worry look.

"He's older sexy danger guy." Bonnie piped up.

"Older sexy danger guy? Is that an official witch twitter tweet?" Caroline mocked at Bonnie and laughing. Wait witch.

"No more witch jokes, okay! That whole Mr. Tanner prediction thing has me freaked." Bonnie said sounding seriously. I remember at the dinner part that Bonnie mentioned her family came from Salem and were witches apparently. But predicting the future, that was new.

"Did I miss something here?" I ask look between the two of them with lost and confused coving my face.

"Yeah, That only is Bonnie the teenage witch, but she predicted Tanners death." Caroline causally, I look at Bonnie shock. Now being a witch is a bit far-fetch, but predicting someone death is a whole another story.

"I'm serious Care." Bonnie said.

"Okay then. And Damon's not dangerous." He may not be danger but something was definitely off with him and Stefan. I just couldn't pen point what it was, but it was there mostly with Damon, I got the feeling to run. Specially after him trying to kiss at the game.

"Oh really?" I eyed Caroline, her "Boyfriend" didn't know the meaning of taking a hit or personal space. And I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be acting so casual, if she knew what he tried to do last night.

"He Just has a lot of issues with his brother, you know like major, deep-rooted drama." Caroline was saying, with all seriousness on her face and in her voice. It doesn't take a rocket scientist, to realize that Damon and Stefan have major sibling problems. But I could feel most of it coming from Damon's side, rather then Stefan's.

"Like...?" I asked her curiously, because I really wanted to hear this explanation. What exactly was so complicated with Damon and Stefan, I really want to know. Because all I see is complete and utter bullshit that Damon has been feeding her.

"I'm really not supposed to say anything." Caroline said, of course didn't. Damon doesn't seem like the type of guy to spill his heart just to anyone, specially teenage girls.

"Caroline Forbes, when have you ever keep a secret in your life?" Bonnie said, I look between them. I only know Caroline for a short period and I'm pretty sure she can't keep a secret to save her life.

"Okay. But you both can't tell Elena."

After chatting with Caroline and Bonnie, I deiced to go to the bar and see if I could get a application for a job. Since Tori had cheer, I need something to keep me interested, plus making money never sound bad at all. But I also wanted to show mom and Tori that they don't need to worry over me and that I was trying to move forward by being productive. And this first act of responsibility will prove it and beside I had other jobs before, so being a waitress couldn't be to hard.

"Me and mom are leaving. Are you ready?"Tori ask me while I walking over to the bartender at the counter.

"Actually give me a second."

"Why." she look at me with a raise eyebrow, I turn to face my little sister with my hands on my hips.

"Well since you deiced to join the cheer team, I'm going to take it a one step further."

"What are you going on about?" Tori ask me with uneasiness in her voice, I only smile at her.

"You'll see. Just tell mom, I'm going to catch a ride with Bonnie and I'll be home to get ready later." I said before turning my back to walk back over to the bartender.

"Uhm, Sure." She said not sounding comfortable with me. I made sure to wait until they left to walk over.

"Hi, can I help you."

"Actually you can." I said casually, then took a quick peek at his name tag. "Ben, I wanted to ask about a job."

He put the rag he was using down the bar. "I can help-just give me a second, I'll get you a application." He said and walk off into the back door.

"Thanks." I don't think it wouldn't be to bad work at the grill, I wouldn't be stuck at home and avoiding drawing or interacting with people.

"So what you gonna buy me?" I turn to see Tyler talking to Vicki. Hmm, I thought after the brawl him and Jeremy had they would rid themselves of her. Guess I was wrong, but it's didn't surprise me after just meeting Tyler's parents why he and Vicki would be together.

"Ugh, some class. Oh, your parents are gone. I guess we can be close now." She said sounding upset.

"What the hell does that mean?" Tyler question, stupid boy, don't ask questions.

"You treat me like trash. I'm sick of it." Vicki was walking away, until Tyler softly grabbed her upper arm and stopped her.

"I don't think you're trash."

"Really? Then who are you taking to the founder's party?" Vicki ask coyly, Tyler have given her the bad boy smile...Oh, great. I thought to myself as I set front row to this shirt show.

"Vicki Donovan. Do you want me to ask you to the founder's party?" It was pretty said to see her prompted him into asking her. Then agin what do I know about relationships, nan dad. since I'm not in one, because all of the relationship around here seem to be either high school drama or love triangles that end in rivalry.

"No. It'll be stupid and lame."

"True. But it'll be less stupid and lame if you were there." Tyler said before leaves, why couldn't people just tell each how they really feel and skip the soap opera mess.

"You realize you had to ask him to ask you, right? You figure if you dress up like a respectable young lady, he'll finally treat you like one?" Jeremy said to her. Damn, that cold and when did he get here.

Vicki look at him in disguise. "Screw you, Jeremy." She snider at him and was about to walk away.

"You know you're making the wrong choice, yet you make it anyway. It's sad." He said as Vicki storm off.

I just watch as Vicki stromed in the opposite direction. "Wow, brownies points for honesty." Turn back to Jeremy. "But if you tell a girl she sad, she's just gonna think your a complete ass."

He took his puppy eyes gaze from a disappearing Vicki to look at me. "What would you know about it." Jeremy said irritated, it only shake my head at his sad attempt to win a girl who clearly doesn't know what she wants.

"Well, you practically just call her desperate." I pointed out the obvious, he doesn't realize if he want a girlfriend he shouldn't be saying the things he said to Vicki. Granted he told the truth, but could have said it a lot less harsher to her.

"It wasn't like that."

"You might not see it like that, but she will." I said cooly, Jeremy had good intentions but Vicki didn't seem to care about them and just like Caroline, I just couldn't help to see someone get stringed along only to end up getting heart broken.

"It's none of you business anyway."

I took a step off my stool to face Jeremy. "Your right it's not, but any girl who's willingly letting a guy treat her like garbage has major issues that you might not understand." I felt bad for Jeremy, he shouldn't be wasting his time on a girl who isn't even giving him the time of day. He need to get himself together first before thinking about a relationship, but I know saying that wouldn't help the situation.

"Your point?"

"My point is girls like Vicki, want what they can't have and that Tyler. And you on the utter hand-" I said to Jeremy, pointing a moving finger to indicate him. "Giving her everything she wants isn't satisfying to her, she like the chase. Plus she may not be your average girl next door, but she still believes she can change Tyler." I was telling the truth, I could tell that Vicki didn't believe she deserves anything good in her life just by how she lets Tyler treat her. But just like any girl who love bad boys, Vicki believe she can change Tyler.

"What ever Elena."

"It's Alex to you." He look at me for a moment to study my features, then look confused.

"Alex." I clarified. "Yeah I'm not your big sis, but apparently I'm am her new friend."

"That so happened to look like her. Why is that?" Jeremy question me flatly, I shrugged my shoulders.

"Bets me. Be yeah, It's been pretty weird." I'm going to have get name tags for me and Elena if people keep think I'm her, it's become more of a hassle.

"It's whatever?" I was so tired of hearing him say that, because I know deep down he still care. I don't know what it's is, but it's something. because if he didn't, he would have hit rock bottom by now, because I did.

"It can be that all you want, after you stop being a dick to your sister and aunt."

"Just because you look like my sister doesn't mean you are." He snapped out.

I nodded my head. "Hmm, You right." I said stepping to him. "Because if I was your sister, I would have kicked your ass from here to west coast and back." I smiled back to him, Jeremy need tough love. He was a well off kid, with great parents, who didn't have to struggle as much. Meaning he would never truly understand Vicki and her mess up chooses.

"Whatever." He said starting to walking away, just as Ben came to the bar with my application in hand.

"She's not worth it Jeremy." I said out to Jeremy, while it took the application from Ben and started jotting down my information.

"Your a tough chick." Ben said to me, I looked up from application and smile.

"I know."

Late that afternoon, me and Bonnie went to Elena house to help get ready for the founder's party. I had call Tori to see if she wanted to join us, but she declined. I couldn't help but noticed the sadness in her voice when I told her that I was going to Elena's to do manicures. I had to make sure she was okay, when I get done here I'll see what she was up to. Now It was just me, Bonnie and Elena sitting around the kitchen table trying to figure out the right colors to paint are nails.

I was painting mines black, I really didn't have any to wear to this thing, since I latterly just got invited this morning, so I was keeping it basics. "Delicate flower vs. naughty vixen." Bonnie ask us, while holding up two different bottles of nail polish.

Elena pursed her lips, while look at both nail polishes. "Tough call. Can we mix them?" She said from the kitchen sink, before walk over and taking a seat from beside Bonnie and across from me.

I smile at her. "Look at you, getting all pretty for your date. You seem happy-ish." I said teasingly to Elena, who only tried to hide her blushing.

"I am...ish. Tonight's going to be a good night. But don't let that stop you guys from telling me whatever it is you wanted to tell me as soon as you both walked in the door." Elena said as she eyed me and Bonnie, we both shared a momentary look.

"What if I tell you in the morning? I don't want to ruin the night." Bonnie said trying the question at hand. I really did want to tell Elena what we learned, but also didn't want her to think I was trying meddle into between her's and Stefan's relationship. She just seems so happy with Stefan and who were we to get in between them. Not only that, but the story Caroline told us just seems to far fetch to be accurate.

"Bonnie, out with it."

There was a moment of silence, just before Bonnie let out a deep breath. "Okay, but it has to go in the vault, because Caroline will kill me if it gets back to Damon that she squealed. You to Alex."

I looked up from nails. "Vault." Before looking back down. I had no interest in repeating said story, I didn't believe it. But I also didn't want Elena to start doubting her relationship with Stefan, if there unsaid stuff they need to confronted themselves.

"Apparently Stefan has a very interesting back story. Do you know what happened with his ex-girlfriend Katherine?" Bonnie startEd to explain.

"I know that they both dated her and that's why they have issues." Elena replied.

"Yeah, they both dated her, only she chose Damon. And that drove Stefan mad, so he did horrible things to try and break them up. He manipulated Katherine. He filled her head with all these lies until finally it worked, and she turned against Damon." Bonnie told her, I looked up at Elena who look shocked and befuddled.

Elena look at Bonnie with a reside eyebrow. "That sounds like one person's side of the story, meaning Damon's." I said the same thing, but since Bonnie been having a hard time expecting Stefan I know she would believe more into. And I know Bonnie's not jealous of their relationship, I just wish she would not let her situation with Stefan get in between her and Elena's friendship.

"I just wanted you to know." Bonnie wearily said while placing a hand over Elena's.

"Anyway, his past relationships are none of my business." She only dismissed, but I could tell in voice how serious this was effecting her.

"Unless he's a calculating, manipulative liar. That is your business." Bonnie said simply.

"Stefan is none of those things." Elena defend, I didn't know much about Stefan, but it also seem like Elena didn't either. Stefan seems like an overall nice guy, but no one really seem to know anything about him or Damon. I just couldn't believe to boys could cause all of this drama between a small group of girls. This was exactly what I warned Damon from doing, messing with everyone's heads. It's one thing to toy with Caroline, but know he was messing with Stefan's and Elena's relationship and Bonnie was already skeptical of Stefan to being with. Now thanks to Damon, it seem they are right back to the were they started. It feels like a damn soap opera, the drama never stops.

"Tonight is suppose to be fun." I said looking between the two girls. "Meaning. No boy drama." They smile at me. "Now. Can we please go back to manicures."

I had to go home and get read for the founder's party tonight, I was acutely kind of excited for it and couldn't wait to experience the even. I just hope know will ask me anything about my ancestors, I decided to make my way to Tori's room. She seem so down all morning and I couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't fully okay. I mean, an animal did malled are history teacher to death, at the foot ball game she was supposed to preforming at. And Jeremy and Tyler having their wwe main even smack down fight in front of everyone probably damper her mood.

I knocked on her door before opening it and waking straight in. "Hey."

"Hey." Tori was standing in front of her full length mirror holding up a red dress, I look at her bed to see many dress scatter on top of it.

"So, you getting ready for the founder's party I see." I leaned against the door frame and crossing my arms over my chested.

Tori only keep her gaze towards the mirror, looking uninterested. "Yeah, but it seem I don't have anything to wear." She said softly, before tossing the red dress on a chair, with plenty of other dress that didn't make the final cut.

"Me neither." It was a long moment of silence between us, it was weird. Because she was never this quite, specially when getting all dressed up for a party.

"Is everything okay kiddo?"

She looked up from a blue mini dress to stare at me through the mirror. "Everything is fine." She said flatly, before going back to looking over her dress.

I wasn't buying it. "Really. Because you are never this quite." I know my sister and I didn't believe for a second that she okay and I just wish she wouldn't be around the bush with me. I already had to deal with one moody teenager today, I'm pretty sure I can take on another one.

"I said I'm fine."

I sigh slightly before pushing myself off the door frame and walking towards her. "Tori you can tell me thing, you know that right." We never kept secrets from each other, that wasn't are thing and she was the loud mouth between the both of us.

Tori light shrugged her shoulders at me. "Yeah. I just want to get ready alone."

"Okay. I'll see you later then." Giving up and turning to walk out the door, but turn back to close it,only to see sadness fill her eyes. I wanted to go back to her, but I knew when someone said they want to be alone then you should give them their space. She'll talk to me about it, sooner or later.

A/N- Chapter Three: Family Ties Part 1.

I'm not the proudest of this chapter, but I really wanted to have Alex and Jeremy to have a moment and kind of build the foundation to their relationship as the story continues. I am going to try and make some Jenna and Alex moments as well, let me know what your thoughts are on Alex, Tori and the story, I Hope you enjoy this chapter.
